  2. It appears as if a lot of people are taking advantage of the promo this morning because the item count has dropped significantly in the past couple of hours.

  3. I'm in as well. I got two of the Silk Twyla tanks, a pair of the boyfriend chino shorts and (not on sale) a pair of the cafe capris. Thanks to all for letting us know about this. :)

  4. Passing on this one surprise! Nothing in my shopping cart for once!

  5. I got sucked in..... purchased:

Petite skimmer pant in ORCHID SHADOW & SEAWEED
    Dahlia cluster ring
Floral Cara beach dress in SOFT DOVE

  6. The cashmere strip scoopneck tee is still available on sale. This is a gorgeous sweater, but it runs pretty large. I'm usually a size 6 up top, and the small was way too big. Sadly, it went back.

  7. I went for it!
I got the ribbon cut-wave dress in natural. I want the black but I figure i can see how it fits before I start stalking the black. Has anyone tried this dress?

I also got the Jardin black suede capri sandal and victoria ruffle tissu cami.

  8. I bit as well! I got the seersucker bikini bottoms in bright mango, along with the seersucker wide band halter to match. I also jumped on the 3" cotton chino shorts in the KIWI color! I saw these in the store last week and was dying over the color... so excited these went on sale! :) I probably would have bought more to qualify for FS, but I was so nervous that the stuff in my bag would disappear by checkout that I just decided to be done with it... I'm sure my husband and wallet will be happy! :)

  9. Anyone know if this means there's also a % off in stores as well? Tia!

  10. I looked and looked at the sale section but there is nothing I Have to Have so will pass--Glad others are finding some goodies.

  11. Argh!!! I got sick of waiting for a code and finally at the end of last week purchased sale items I'd had my eye on. Of course now they offer a code. And everything I ordered is still available in my sizes! Debating whether to reorder. Anyone had any luck getting them to credit you after the fact for a recently-purchased order?

  12. Ashley-

Do you love the Liberty floral daze shirt? I ordered it on Friday, can't wait to see it irl.

  13. Not buying a thing... there is nothing that interests me.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I also placed an order this morning. Finally Jackie in Pearl color I missed out (I noticed Jackie cardigans running smaller this season, anyone notice?), watch straps and some CC stuff for my DD. I just made it for FS since I had placed a large order with a 20% coupon a wonderful JCA gave to me. :-)

  15. The crystal corona necklace is Totally worth the price! LOVE it and get a lot of compliments when I wear it:)

  16. I got super 120s pencil skirt in sweet tulip. I guess I just can’t get enough of pink pencil skirts from jcrew.
I also got featherweight cashmere cardigan (23241) in light berry, bright marigold and soft seashell.
I already have this cardi in two other colors – it’s one of jcrew’s best…

  17. So sad! I can't buy a thing because the website's not working for me. I'm jealous of the rest of you! Guess it's just my computer.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Bought stuff already in my cart, Schuyler dress in ivory and couple of convertible glamour tops (btw, they work as great strapless bras, lifting and separating the girls with no smooshed uni-bra). I also scored a pair of Reese studded ballet flats in pale oak that I was stalking but they were never in my size (yay!). I also ordered Metallic moss jacquard skirt and Marlie dress (not on sale). I am not sure about the fit/lenght of the last two but I can always return.

  19. Caley - I've had luck in the past by calling up and being really polite, and explaining that had I known there was going to be a sale, I would have waited. It helps a LOT of the exact things you ordered are still in stock (that way you can point out that it'd be easier than returning and reordering), and if you don't make a habit of asking for exceptions. Good luck!

    ReplyDelete
  20. I can't find anything in the sale section that I want so I'll pass on this promo, a rare exception for me. There are some suiting pieces I have my eye on but I'm hoping they will get reduced or put on promo soon. I just sent back a bunch of returns on Friday and have two new packages en route so it's no wonder I'm coming up empty. Yesterday I was seriously considering a shopping ban. One too many glasses of wine, I think. ;^)

  21. Simply JCrew-
How does the "featherweight cashmere cardigan (23241" fit in comparison to this season's Jackie (which I agree, is running on the "shrink" size.)

    Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Karen,
The featherweight cashmere cardigan (23241) runs absolutely TTS and the fit is just fantastic (I actually like it better than Jackie).
All my jackies from last season are size S and I got all my feather featherweight cashmere cardigans in size Small.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I only have full price stuff in my cart right now.... so, pass for me!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Karen, I agree with SimplyJCrew, the featherweight cashmere cardigans fit more true-to-size than the Jackie. The recent Jackies seem to run a bit small... the XS gapes a bit at the bust when I button it. The Featherweight cashmere cardigans seem to have a slightly more generous cut (as does the regular cashmere cardigan).

  25. Any feedback on the Weekend Halter Dress? I am looking for a casual lavender dress. This one looks cute but like it might be terribly flimsy and/or unflattering

  26. The website has not been working for me for the past few days either. When I click on an item it tells me "we are unable to process your request" and redirects me to the homepage. I have never had this problem. :(

  27. Ooh...SO tempting. I have been wanting the Ankle Stretch toothpick jeans in Amore wash since I tried them on in store. They were a HUGE surprise love. At least, I think those are the same jeans...the color code was AMA--does that=Amore?

Also, who has a review of the Schuyler dress?

    ReplyDelete
  28. @Appgal: I know...those toothpicks are pretty nice. I have it in Twilight wash and I love them. I wish the Amore wash would drop in price even more... or pick them up at 30% off. ;-)

I think DaniBP Mop Philosopher has reviewed the Schuyler dress in her blog.

  29. A group of us at work put together an order. Best way to get the discount and free shipping if you have only an item or two.

This should hold me till either I fly to NYC or another promo shows up.

    ReplyDelete
  30. MPDA, I am wondering about the same dress. The fact that it is SO marked down makes me think it's not going to work...
    Has anyone actually tried it?

    ReplyDelete
  31. Has anyone reviewed, or does anyone have feedback on, the Papillon waterfloral pastiche blouse that is on sale right now? Looks cute online. Wondering how it fits. Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  32. AppGal, I was DYING to love the Schulyer dress, but it wasn't meant to be. It doesn't come in petite sizes... I'm usually a petite 00 or 0, but I just ordered a regular 0 for this dress since I have no choice. I was swimming in it. Also, I'm 5'1"... so the v-neck was too low for comfort. Really sad since it looks so great on the model.

  33. I swear the Jackie cardigans are running bigger than previous years. I have a bunch of older ones in medium, and ordered a medium earlier this spring. I had to take it back for a small because the medium arm holes and chest were huge on me. I am probably about 5 pounds heavier than I was last year, so it's not me!

My new small fit the same as last year's mediums.

  34. Jenny & Everyone - Just had to share that after emailing J.Crew customer service to politely complain that I'd just purchased several sale items on Thursday (which are all in stock today in my sizes) only to have an extra 20 pop up today, they graciously credited my account. I love you J.Crew customer service!!

  35. Any comments on the fit of the Felted wool bistro mini? I see it comes in 00 - does it run big? Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  36. MDPA, I have the felted wool mini in gray and black, and if anything, it runs slightly large. I usually take a 6 in bottoms, and the 4 in the wool mini fits perfectly.

I tried to have restraint for this extra%+fs, but I caved and ordered the 3" shorts in kiwi and the raffia peep toes in abyss blue, which I've been eyeing for ages!

  37. Those interested in the featherweight cashmere cardi, I have a pic of it on my blog, in this post.

  38. I think I will pass! I have overspent in Johnstons of Elgin cashmere sweaters - totally worth the splurge, though - and am saving money for my upcoming vacation. Happy shopping everyone!

  39. Anyone know how Floral Cara beach dress fits?

    ReplyDelete
  40. This was a nice surprise for me. I finally did actually buy somethings that it looks like many of you were peering at as well.

For me I'm excited about the Dauphine jacket, the Nadja bomber and some bling: the Majesty cocktail ring and Prism neclace and the Turkish Delight pencil skirt. I went back and forth on the torque tee shirt and decided to pass. I have a feeling it might be pretty on but it is thin and all of my thin J Crew tees have met with sad endings (jewelry, pet nails, small child "love")

There were many cute things: rose vines blazer would have been mine had I not bought the Liberty one last year. The beach chambray ruffled vest is deal at 29.99 and would be super cute with something without ruffles like a tee and cargoes. The Checkered Puckered Shift dress would be very chic for an afternoon wedding or luncheon with a little bling and affordable.

I really agreed with crowd with the Andre dress but not any great colors for me. Happy shopping. I am happy NO Final Sale, free shipping, and enough to pull the trigger.

  41. So excited about this promo! I got:

    - Chambray Schoolboy Blazer
    - Neon Necklace in pink
    - Layered Link Necklace (has anyone seen this IRL?)
    - men's Cotton/Cashmere Vneck in Desert Smoke (father's day gift)

  42. RealWorking Mom OC,

I have the blouse and it fits true to size.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Tiffanybreakfast,

I have the Dauphine jacket and really like it. Well made and gorgeous fabric and buttons. I know a lot of people said this ran really big but I did not find that the case. I ordered my usual size and one size down and both would work depending on what I wore underneath....I keep the size 8 instead of my usual 10 b/c I liked the body fit better in it. However, the underarm area was a bit tighter than normal for me. The 10 fit better there but not so tight that it would bother me.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Melanie, the floral Cara beach dress fits nicely. It's very fitted around the chest and loose and gauzy elsewhere. I usually can't wear J.Crew dresses that aren't fitted for fear of looking like a tent but since this one is offered in smaller sizes it's worked out for me well. The one thing that surprised me was the color - on the site it looks like a pale peach but it's actually more of an orange.

Can anyone comment on the fit of the petite Super 120s high pencil skirt? I have a feeling I'm between sizes and hoping I ordered right...

  45. Genny, Thank you! Appreciate the input!

  46. Okay, so I just discovered the Aficionada's about a month ago just in time for the birthday code and scored a bunch of cool things like the lilly peep toe flats in the buff color. In between time I picked up the linen military blazer in white and a few tees and sweaters. Tried all day yesterday to get in but couldn't and figured it was probably for the best. Got in today though and pulled the trigger on the following:
-Lone leather heels in soft apricot
-Alice ruffled tank in warm fig
-some perfect fit v neck tees for the winter
-Cashmere v neck cardigan in light citron and sea mist
    -3" chino short pale cinnabar
    -metallic moss skirt
    -busted white denim mini
    and...
Thanks to Lauren and MDPA for mentioning the felted wool mini, I picked one up in gray. I purchased a kenneth cole version from loehmann's last winter but it was too big and I wound up returning it.
Is this volume in the normal range for a jcrew newbie? hope I'm not buying too much. I pay my card at the end of each month.;)

  49. saved $51!!! i'm so happy!!!
i hope the liberty print floral bikini works out...

  50. I gave in this morning and ordered the Adriana silk top in classic navy in two different sizes (one regular and one petite) and the featherweight cashmere crewneck in black that was on my wishlist.

  51. Posting OT here since it seems to be a busy thread.

Has anyone tried or seen the Solid Ripstop Field Jacket 26994 IRL? This is one of the new arrivals that I'm anxious to try out but would like to know how it fits since it's alpha-sized and not numeric, which can be difficult for me to get the right size. Last year's military jacket was alpha-sized and fit huge. Wonder if this is the same or TTS.

  52. finding it hard to justify buying anything, as i already have too many of cardi's/camis/shirts. the sandals however, are calling my name!

BTW, how's the fit of the linen cotton shawl collar cardigan? I usually take a medium in the jackie cardi's or the cashmere cardi's... should i size down or stay with medium? TIA JCA's!!!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Has anyone noticed that the sale prices for some of the items go up when they're having a percent off sale? With some dresses at least, I noticed that the "sale price" went up around $45 right when they offered the extra 20% off.

Is this just my imagination or has anyone else caught this also??

    ReplyDelete
  54. I got two of the ruffle tanks and the linen/terry lounge pants for myself, an Irish linen shirt for my fiance. Great sale. How can you go wrong with tank tops for $14.99 apiece?? I was going to get the white handbag with leather trim but just got back from Paris where I already bought a purse. Can't justify two in less than two weeks, right??
