J.Crew Store Location Series {Las Vegas}

*Image above is from Etsy (found through confettielove)

A big "thanks!" to GigiOfCa {of the delightful Gigi's Gone Shopping blog} who came up with a brilliant suggestion for a series of post: a city guide where JCAs can suggest which J.Crews to shop at.

This post will focus on Las Vegas, Nevada! With so many stores in the area, it might be too much to visit them all. So if you are a local, or a knowledgeable tourist, please share what stores a fellow JCA has to visit!

Feel free to share other tidbits of advice. For example... What are your top three spots? Are there certain stores that should be avoided at certain times of the day/ week? Are there stores that have a better selection than others? Which stores have the best sale offerings?

Which J.Crew brick & mortar (B&M) stores {in the Las Vegas area} should an out-of-towner shop at? Which stores should be avoided? Please share! :)

  1. There is only one regular store in Vegas now...at the Town Square Mall (there is one outlet location, never been). The Fashion Show Mall location has been closed for over a year now, which makes it more difficult for tourists. Town Square is very far South on the Strip (but still on Las Vegas Blvd.), just past Mandalay Bay. Great for a local like me who does not like dealing with traffic! :)

The service is amazing! I have not met a sales associate that I have not liked. Such nice little touches like sending handwritten notes after I have made a purchase or asking my husband how I am doing when he checks out the store during his lunch break. And, as I mentioned recently here, a SA saw me eying a full-price cardigan and told me she would call me when it went on sale. She did more than that, she called me on a Wednesday with the intention of holding it through the weekend!

Another HUGE plus...they almost always accept my teacher discount in addition to the sale promotion! (I think maybe once over a year ago that did not happen) LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them for that!!

Also mentioned on here recently, my only other J. Crew comparison is the Seattle location in Pacific Place. The sale selection there had me thinking "Are you kidding?!? My store has 20 times more!!"

    Now the downers:
Not a good shoe selection. Just a few items, but no heels or cute leather flats.

The guy selection is very slim!

I am excited to hear what other readers who have been to the Town Square Mall think about this location!! :)

  2. I visit the Town Square location when we're in town visiting relatives -- and I must say that I have had the opposite experience with sales associates from Michelle. I've found them extremely unhelpful. One occasion that has stuck with me - I asked a male sales associate to please check the backstock for another hat that I was interested in as the one on the floor had a pen mark on it (and this was after trying to get someone's attention...no one would make eye contact with me, they were so intent on folding!). He looked at me as though I was nuts to even ask, then proceeded to look the hat over (telling me that he didn't see anything), until I showed him where the mark was. He begrudgingly went to get me another one, upon which he simply handed it to me and walked away.

That experience simply left a bad taste in my mouth. I wish they had kept the Fashion Show location open as it had a side for men and a side for women.

I've been to the outlet, but never seem to buy anything. Maybe it's because I miss the big mark-downs/promos so at that point I'd rather pay for retail than pay full price for outlet items.

  3. I liked the stock in the LV store, but getting there from the strip and back will run you about $40 in cab fares if you don't have a rental car. I didn't, and also didn't look into going there by bus because my time was limited. Too bad the store in the mall was closed. It was right by the hotel where I was staying.

  4. we went there on a trip to vegas about 2 years ago - Rose is right that the store was quite the distance down the strip but that didn't bother us. we used it as our "exercise" and walked back from there to our hotel. the store was nice, but they didn't have a lot of items in my size when i went. the SA that helped me was a total doll and so friendly. i'd definitely go back.

  5. They are closing our one and only J. Crew B&M in a few weeks. So sad! The closest store will be in LA, some 5 hours away. :(

  6. The only J.Crew store left in the LV area is now an outlet...so sad.
