Personal Shopper Offer: Free Style Advice & 20% Off On Your Order

A big "thanks!" goes to Hilarie D. & Marison & others who were kind enough to share with us that J.Crew is offering a new promotion. If you schedule an appointment with a J.Crew personal shopper by Friday, August 29, 2008, you can receive 20% off all the (regular priced) items you purchase in addition to receiving style advice. There is a $100 merchandise minimum in order to take advantage of the 20% off. Also, this offer is honored in-stores only (excluding phone and web site orders).

I must admit, I think this offer makes using a personal shopper even more appealing. Especially after hearing such great experiences using a J.Crew personal shopper, (refer to the "J.Crew's Personal Shopper" post). :)

P.S. "Thanks!" again to Hilarie D. & Marison & others :)

Do you think you will take advantage of this latest promotion? Is this a good incentive on J.Crew's part to get their customers more accustomed to using a personal shopper at J.Crew?

  2. I will probably do this...the personal shoppers at my store are not pushy at all (so far), and I know them pretty well at this point. I haven't actually scheduled an appointment with one, so it could be different than just having them with you when you walk in to shop. I think I am going to try it...it will be great to save the extra 20%, and I already have a couple of pieces picked out to put me over the $100 mark. :)

  3. Ah man ... another thing I get to miss. I really need to jump on a plane and get myself to a store. I'd love to take advantage of this. It would be very interesting to talk to a personal shopper and see what they would suggest. I bet it would end up with me spending much more than usual and getting some items I would not have thought of.

  4. Personally, this sucks for people not living near a b&m store. I really do seeth when I see all the IN STORE advantages. I spend thousands upon thousands each year online yet get no incentives...nothing. Grrrrr.

  5. Hey Jcrewjunkie, I feel your pain. It's a serious effort on my part to get to a store; three hours on a plane to be exact which is much more than shipping so guess what I do?

Hope to get to a store in early 09, that sounds so far away.

  6. Aaaaaaaaaaah, I just placed a huge order yesterday! Do you think I could have gotten the discount if my personal shopper ordered for me over the red phone? I hope not, otherwise I will be very depresssed LOL B&M doesn't carry my size in most stuff anyway, so this wouldn't apply

    ReplyDelete
  7. It depends. I wonder if I have to make the appointment by August 29th, or if that's the deadline for the shopping trip? I really dislike the customer service at the store closest to me, but I'm moving on August 31st, so I wouldn't mind giving this a try at my new location.

And as like many others here, I'd be quite limited in the sizes that I'd purchase, since I only wear petite bottoms (sometimes, also only petite tops), which are not carried by all stores (any stores?)

Still, it'd be fun to bring someone else along :)

  8. Thanks to everyone who shared this email :) I think this is incentive to make the trip to KOP!

  9. I think this is another thread, but anyone want to share their PS experience? Does each store have a designated PS or two or is each SA qualified to be a PS?

    ReplyDelete
  10. At my store, all the sales people act like personal shoppers. I love it. I tell them my size and they look through all the racks and bring me whatever will fit.

    ReplyDelete
  11. There are actually 3 Personal Shoppers at my store (2 female and 1 male), and I'm not sure what the qualifications are...I had actually considered becoming one at my store, but since there are already 3 there isn't another position available. I have never actually scheduled an appointment, but they have helped me and given advice/opinions on fit and color while shopping there. I actually prefer the style of the male PS out of the three, and I trust his opinion, too. :)

  12. molly, I am in the same boat as you. I would love to take advantage of this but I fear there would be nothing for me to try on in store, as I need a XL or 14, which my store does not carry. So I guess I have to stick to the web. Bummer, as I would love to do this---it seems so indulgent!

J.Crew should really expand the size line they offer in store to reflect what they offer online. I would buy way more, that is for sure!

  13. This is OT, but I wanted to share that I just got the rope link necklace for $25! I have been looking for a nice simple layering piece that could also be worn alone, and this will be perfect, esp for the price. I placed the order over the phone, and the CSR said they have plenty in stock, so I wanted to let everyone know in case they are interested too :)

    ReplyDelete
  14. gigi: I know they are designated and have to meet a certain level of sales goals to remain a ps. (otherwise I think they get demoted or something)

ffm: I'm the same, I never made an appointment but he always helps me and calls me about things he thinks I'll like. It'll be strange to go in with an actual appointment next time. ;) btw, you would make an AMAZING ps! you would be doing what comes naturally to you, in the place you love (getting paid to shop) and getting DISCOUNTS to boot!

I've also thought about just going in early for an inventory job or something after I drop the kids off at school and then being done early to have the rest of my day free until they get home (and putting my paycheck/discounts staright back into the store) :) How ideal!!!

    sorry so long...

  15. J.Crew Guy in Canada: Does that mean they're going to build a store in Canada? :)

    ReplyDelete
  16. michelle: congrats on the great bargain! Very nice necklace! I also got a bargain this morning $12 on buttery twill trousers! I already have the gray ones (fp) and LOVE them so I've been stalking the site for the warm stone on sale and was never available in my size until now. YAY!!! Now, let's see if it gets canceled. :)

  17. Personally, when I went to go get the Ecole jacket I felt snubbed by the PS. I just felt they were a little rude and not very caring or attentive. So i will not be doing this.

Though, I love my PS through the call center... or maybe when MMiller is back up in hartford I will try the PS at the westfarms mall store... maybe they will be a little better.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Forgot to add that last week I had talked on the phone with one of the female PS I had shopped with the previous Sunday...I was calling to ask her to check on my size in the Cropped Chinos and hold them, as I was coming in on Saturday. Anyways...she was going to be working on Saturday, and I would have *shopped* with her, but she ended up being ill and not making it in. Well, she called me on Sunday to apologize for not being in and to make sure I found what I needed and was helped by the others. I thought it was really sweet and a very nice gesture, especially since we had not even set a formal appointment. :)

    ReplyDelete
  19. gigiofca: PSs are different from SAs they can do more and are supposed to be more attentive. etc.

    ReplyDelete
  20. OMG, I just tried to schedule one online, and guess what, it is unable to process my request and I should try again later. Talk about a glitch! I used the link sent to me in the e-mail.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Thanks weab...too bad they already have so many...I would LOVE to have that job, though...it would be a great creative outlet for me other than Polyvore. :)

michelle: Congrats on the great deal...I love that necklace, too! :)

    ReplyDelete
  22. jacquelyn: yes that hasnt been working for months. You should call in!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Arrrr...I wish there was a store close by! Guess I will not be using this either. I would love to have an appt. with a personal shopper for them to give me great ideas.

Although, I do feel like I have a personal shopper in all of you thanks to your advice on fit and putting outfits together through polyvore!

    ReplyDelete
  24. I can't imagine using a personal shopper unless I was going to an event or stocking up on workwear. It would feel like a waste of their time for me to go in just because I was thinking of buying a new sweater or something. If I didn't intend to make some significant purchases I would also be concerned with getting pressure to buy more.

This is O/T but I just wanted to mention that I've placed 2 orders on the website since the SHOP code for free shipping on and $ amountwas available. I haven't been in the mood to go to a b&m but have looked online a few times, I placed one order for sale merchandise and another for a full priced item. This is business that J Crew would not have had from me if not for the free shipping. I am also a cardholder. J Crew please take note.

    Sorry for the long post!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Sorry, should have read: ...for free shipping on ANY $ amount was available... typing too fast!

  26. Sorry, should have read: ...for free shipping on ANY $ amount was available... typing too fast!

    ReplyDelete
  27. Boston Brit: I know with this code I have bought EVER DAY for the past 7 days.... But its stuff that I bought as it came available in the sale section. If it was all available at the same time I would have bought it all at once, but JCrew isn't that organized. hehe. I buy so much more stuff when I get free of inexpensive shipping!

    ReplyDelete
  28. I just got home and there was the nicest message on my machine from my Jcrew PS inviting me to come in and take advantage of the 20% promotion.

    ReplyDelete
  29. This is way OT but wanted to share....my store has the Fiona herringbone jacket 25% off. I caved and got one. It's a beauty!

  31. blumre: I have purchased everyday too. I'm worried I might have a serious addiction here. It's like I need to buy something from them in order to function normally throughout the day:)

    ReplyDelete
  32. Hdayton: lucky you, isn't that sweet. I wish the PS at my BM was cooler... they (trying to remain anon) just weren't as nice as they could be. Gonna try again at the B&M on 45th and the one in @ the West Farms Mall. B/C I love my PS through the catalogue and it would be nice to have one in person too!

Jcrewbug: I HAVE VOWED that I WILL NOT buy anything today. I can't believe I bought yesterday (i said the same thing yesterday) but the city-fit ellie chinos came and I loved them too much! So I bought two more pairs... meep!

    ReplyDelete
  33. blumre: It's hard to pass up these deals on sale - esp with 40% off. I ordered a couple things this morning, although I am doubtful that all will make it. The order I placed over the weekend for 5 items had 3 in the shipment. That is my justification for ordering more:) I got the Mirabelle clutch, the french market graphic tee, the 5inch papaya chino shorts, a cashmere cardi in emerald green, and the antique fleece shawl cardi in navy. We'll see what I get. I spent around 80 bucks. I think that's a bargain. Anyway, I bet I get the shorts and the tee and that's it, all the rest were really low in stock.

    ReplyDelete
  34. jcrewbug: its great bargain.

I know I got my first pair of ellie chinos for free b/c my ps had a glitch in the system. These I paid 25 dollars for and they will all have to be hemmed but THAT IS STILL SO CHEAP.

I also got the linen silk beach cargigan (which you all know I love0

I have a liberty shirt coming, two tess (4 bucks each), A long sleeve T, A pair of Seer Sucker burmudas, a pair of flip flops and I already got the overdyed cropped jeans... but those are going back.

You just never see Jcrew prices this low. It has been worth it to buy NOW! And then I will be set for next summer too.

And the chinos are great for my office. :)

    ReplyDelete
  35. Is this offer valid ONLY with an in-store PS? (My store is so small and never gets all the good stuff so I thought I would do better with one over the phone.)

p.s. I'm so glad to hear I'm not alone in my daily addiction. :)

    ReplyDelete
  36. blumre: Sorry I missed it, why are the overdyed crops going back? I ordered those too in gray.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Jcrewbug: Because even though the description is the same as the regular denim cropped, they were longer by about two to three inches (and looked ridiculous) and they were also baggy in places my others weren't. They just didn't fit as well and I ordered the same size and everything. I was super bummed because I do like the color.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Thanks to all of the info on personal shoppers. I appreciate it. :-)

  40. blumre: Okay, well I'm really curious how they will fit me!! Hopefully they will take a return. If you have a serious issue with the fit I'm sure they will.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Jcrewbug. No I explained that while the description is the same the products are different. And they were totally fine with it. There is a note on it saying i can return it.

    ReplyDelete
  42. Okay, I called to set up an e-mail PS. I told the person I don't feel good about doing one in store since they never have my size in stock. She said they also don; carry petite or tall is store so why should they carry 14 pr XL. Kind of a weird attitude...

Anyway, can anyone tell me what I should expect? How this all works.? The first person I spoke with had no clue so she sent me over to Special Occasions, where I waited and waited and then that was it. She was able to tell me a bit more about the skirt I have been stalking. Sadly, it is only available in up to a 12, and not until the end of next month.

I am interested in setting up a relationship, and you would think they would want one as well since I am usually a full price shopper at J.Crew (due to my size selling out fast).

    ReplyDelete
  43. P.S. I hope they work out for you!

  44. Hi ladies, I have a question and totally OT. Is the educator's discount is still 15% off? I placed a few orders recently and noticed one of them has 25% off. I am curious if it is a mistake or change. Thanks.

    ReplyDelete
  45. that sounds like a mistake to me... its 15% off

    ReplyDelete
  46. Are stores still having 40% off? I want to place a phone order but will have to tell them a store. Not one near me...

I really need to quit this, but Blumre is right...prices are never this low! I'm stocking up.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Emily: ENABLER ALERT--- I am sorry in advance!

Yes, yes they are still having the sale.

OY I am so sorry... I am such an enabler. :(

    ReplyDelete
  48. Thanks Blumre. You shop at the Madison Ave store right? Who knows...maybe they will be out of what I want and then I won't have to worry.

All my packages came from last week and I was amazed that everything shipped. You would think that is enough to keep me occupied.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Both the educator and student discount are 15% off.

    ReplyDelete
  50. emily: What do you have your eye on? Just curious - I love to hear what people are getting!

    ReplyDelete
  51. looking at the Alessandra heels. I tried to get the flats and they didn't have my size. Also another cashmere chell, maybe the Quincy top and the Logan pant. Slub henley tee and maybe the Metallic jacquard jacket.

Has anyone tried the Quincy top or Logan pant? Curious on their thoughts.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Emily: I was at the 45th and madison store last week but this week was at Columbus Circle (b/c it is actually closer to me and I am lazy) but I like the SAs much better at the 45th and madison store.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Emily: I have not seen the quincy top. But I was not really a fan of the logan pant. It looked weird on me. Those items wont be in stores right now though. Almost nothing is left in the sale section. You will have to order those. The oliva shell is available in stores

    ReplyDelete
  54. blumre: Have you tried on the Olivia shell? I've almost ordered that a few times, not sure if it was worth it.

    ReplyDelete
  55. jcrewbug: Someone said they tried it on and liked it yesterday. I know FFM said she liked it but I think it was Jcrewmommy who said she bought it (?) Check yesterday's posts and search the word "olivia" through your browser's find and you should see their reviews.

    ReplyDelete
  56. I just placed an order using the 40% off. I got 10 items for $227, woot! That includes full price for the silk hammered tank.
I wore the Olivia yesterday. It is lovely! Cool enough to wear in the high 60's weather but can be layered for fall

    ReplyDelete
  57. Thanks Blumre. Here we go with another order. One thing is for sure...the UPS man's job is definitely secure!

    ReplyDelete
  58. One of my J Crew parcels just arrived! It was the merino ruffle cardigan in blue. I am so much in love with it. I really wish they didn't lose my order with my brown and grey ones now. The CS rep did offer me a discount on the tartines to make up for the loss but they still haven't shipped which is odd since they were ordered just a few minutes before the blue ruffle one that just arrived. I did cancel one of the items in the tartine order though -do tyou think it is possible taht they cancelled the entire order?

They are still having problems with Canadian orders. The email I received telling me my order was shipped did not display the tracking number -it just said TRACK_NO_NA and when you clicked on it, it brought me to a "parking site" pretending to be a legit UPS site and not UPS. There was no tracking number in the link or else that site could have stolen it if they were phishing site.

    ReplyDelete
  59. liana - I have been on hold 25 min while CS is trying to find my web order from last thurs. It is Canadian, the service used to be so good. At least CS is good today.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Blumre and Anon 1:35: Thanks for responsing to my educator's discount question. Also I'd like everyone to know that "Cashmere clementina jacket(93446)" is really pretty and comfortable. I think it is true to size. However I have broad shoulders and like loose tops. I got mine last night. And placed another order for the same ones later.

    ReplyDelete
  61. OT: Does anyone know how bright the Bright Tangerine Jackie Cardigan really is? Is it a pretty orange, or completely loud and over the top orange? Also any opionions on the Poppy in the same sweater?

    ReplyDelete
  62. I actually just placed an order for a pair of the Cropped Chinos in British Khaki and a Jackie Cardigan in Soft Fuschia for $43...that's with tax...YAY! Now I just hope they get here. :) I am contemplating purchasing another Jackie Cardigan or two...just not sure on the colors left...any opinions from my previous post?

    ReplyDelete
  63. ffm: the bright orange is not too bright. It's similar to the orange of the merino ruffle cardi. Also, the poppy one is close to persimmon. It's pretty muted (more so than the bright orange) reddish-pinkish-orange . Both very pretty colors though. Hope this helps.

    ReplyDelete
  64. Poppy = juicy red orange. Delicious!! Just a hair more red than bright rhubarb. (I have both colors in Jackie)

Tangerine = highlighter light orange. Very light and bright. Not my taste.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I posted this somewhere else but nobody is going there any more so I'm re-posting this here:

This is totally OT, but does anyone own an Avery ruffle cardigan and/or Linen ruffle cardigan in XS that are both on sale? I would like to know the length of them as I'm super tiny (5'0) and I'm looking for something that doesn't cover most of my hip, which is really hard to find. I'd appreciate any input. Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  66. Thanks weab and molly!

I have another question for everyone...I just purchased the new Jackie Cardi from the store in Bright Blue full price minus educator...the Bright Azul is on sale and I can get it for $25...do you think the color of blue is really the same? They look really similar online.

    ReplyDelete
  67. btw, ffm: I thought I'd mention that I'm thinking about returning my Andrea Jacket once I see the new fall offerings. The more I see it on me, the more I think the shape is not as flattering as it should be. Any thoughts?

    ReplyDelete
  68. Thanks to this blog and the emails sent to Mickey Drexler, he had a meeting with CS to discuss all the issues people have been emailing him with. They are really trying to help their customers out and are trying to resolve the Canadian ordering problems.

I spoke to Chris in CS you were great! They found my order and it is being sent out to-morrow, they had to associates working on it.

    ReplyDelete
  69. weab: If you have any doubts, then return it...you should really LOVE it for the price! You have the Lucille which I KNOW you LOVE, so if you aren't 100% sure on the Andrea, then take it back. You could always rethink it again when it goes on sale...maybe you would like it better at a lower price. :) I'm still in love with mine...especially with the Wild Berry Jackie Shell under it. I'm pretty sure it will be a keeper for me.

    ReplyDelete
  70. ffm: I would get the one sale and return the fp one once the second one arrives (just to be sure you get it). The colors really do seem so close.

    ReplyDelete
  71. ffm: I'm bummed, I can't see the colors you are talking about online...please tell me there aren't different versions of the website too!!!

    ReplyDelete
  72. Thanks weab! That was my thought exactly...the price of the one I bought in the store is about equal to buying 2 on sale today. :) I'm calling back now. THANKS!

    ReplyDelete
  73. Has anyone tried on the Marcella blouse? It seems like kind of a boxy fit. Is it super-loose in your normal size or does it still look okay?

    ReplyDelete
  74. sorry, I didn't mention my last post was regarding the jackie. :)

ffm: thanks for the advice. I think you're completely right about being 100% about it at that price. I think it'll be going back once the new items arrive. :)

Anon: How did you hear about the meeting? did a csr tell you? I think that is so encouraging! Thanks for sharing!

    ReplyDelete
  75. liana and anon at 2:06. I'm a Canadian customer too. I just got off the phone with cs and my parcel did have a tracking number but you have to call in and ask them to look it up. (I just checked it and it does work).

I was upset that the cardigan I ordered was listed as 'canceled'. I called 3 different times and each rep had something different to say about the inventory (one said xs is completely sold out, one said it exists etc). The whole issue of keeping ordering requests in synch with inventory updates seems to be unresolved.

I also got a cancellation a few days ago for something else and was offered 30% off and free shipping on my next order. This time reps were only offering free shipping to make up for it.

    ReplyDelete
  76. ginger-girl: I really dont know. I didn't try them on as they aren't my style (and the linen one didnt feel too nice). Try calling into CS and see what they say.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Bright Azul is darker than Bright Blue. I have Azul and wish I had Bright Blue (I have a slim stretch shirt inthe bright blue and it's really pretty).

    ReplyDelete
  78. anon 2:26: I did call to get my tracking no from last week order and that is when I found out that my web order was lost, but the CS found it.

    ReplyDelete
  79. Placing an order with Christy and she is BY FAR the most helpful CSR I have dealt with. I am getting some awesome stuff and finally getting the Alessandra peeptoe heels!

    Blumre: thanks for enabling me!!!

    ReplyDelete
  80. anon at 2:30, so glad to hear things got sorted out! I think I was just responding to what liana wrote about how the link in her shipping notice email led her to a different site. Definitely keeping my fingers crossed that all this nonsense gets fixed soon.

    ReplyDelete
  81. emily: You have to go through the Final Sale to find them...it doesn't work if you do the search or item number. Look in the sweaters category...they are $49.99 minus the 40% store sale. I also received educator discount which made them $25.49. :)

    ReplyDelete
  82. molly: Thanks for the info...I may end up with 2 Jackie Cardigans in differing shades of blue now, asI did order the Bright Azul, too. I love the Bright Blue so if it's too much of a difference then I will keep both. I really LOVE cardigans. :)

    ReplyDelete
  83. haus_frau: i thought the marcella blouse fit very well! i am very small on top, usually a 0, and jcrew tends to be boxy/ tent-link in tops sometimes for me. but this one was great! it wasnt too long either, which always bothers me.

    ReplyDelete
  84. okay OT but I just noticed the Flowy jersey bateau dress (95804) is on sale but wondering what does the bright strawberry look like?
I think I might be boring and get the navy anyway...

    ReplyDelete
  85. This is OT, But the black San Telmo Jacket is back on the sale section. Sizes 2 and 6.

    ReplyDelete
  86. blumre: Thanks for your help! I'll try and call the CS and find out. How did the linen one feel? Coarse? Which store did you see it? My B&M is a really small one and I don't think I've ever seen that in person.
It would be great if I can get the additional 40% off over the phone.

    ReplyDelete
  87. ffm: going through final sale and still can't find them. Can you send the item #?

    ReplyDelete
  88. Yes ginger girl: it just felt a little coarse and overall not great. It was also VERY see through in every color. I saw it at a bunch of stores. New Canan, CT, Greenwich CT, Columbus Circle, 45th, 5th Ave, Rock Center. But that was all last month... haven't seen it in a few weeks since they shipped everything back

    ReplyDelete
  89. FFM, I am a fellow Jackie addict. Not only do I have a ton of colors, I also have most of them in two sizes - large to wear alone or layer over a cami and extra large to layer over jackie shell. They're just so perfect!!

    ReplyDelete
  90. Melissa, thanks for the info! I was planning on ordering it in ivory, and then I got second thoughts about not trying it on first. I'll go with my size then and see where it takes me :)

    ReplyDelete
  91. emily: the item # is 85613. The colors are getting limited, but if you call CS they can tell you what is left in your size at the sale price. Good luck!

molly: Do you think I should keep both blues or call and cancel the order for the Bright Azul? $25 is a steal, even if I end up with 2 differing shades of blue, right?

    ReplyDelete
  92. haus_frau: I also tried on the marcella in a 0, and I did not like it very much. Still pretty loose fitting and long. You definitely would have to wear it tucked into something. If I worked in an office setting, I might consider buying it. I do, however, really like the fabric.

To whoever asked about the Olivia shell: I posted about it the other day, and after trying it on again, I like it even more. I originally would have preferred an XS, but the small is actually great. Very feminine and can be dressed up or down.

    ReplyDelete
  93. FFM: I just sent you an e-mail--- I will give you a hint. UN FREAKING BELIEVABLE

    ReplyDelete
  94. Don't Cancel at that price! I have bright rhubarb, poppy and persimmon and they're all almost alike LOL You can never have too many!

Heck, I almost like Tangerine for 25 bucks.

    ReplyDelete
  95. molly: Thanks...I knew I could count on a fellow enabler to make me feel really wonderful about my purchase! :)

    ReplyDelete
  96. The URL they give is to the wrong site (wwwappsups.com instead of wwwapps.ups.com). The site it does point to is a traffic generating site (they grab potentially misspelled domains for profit). Also, they use a placeholder instead of the actual tracking number so it wouldn't have worked anyway.

My invoice was also actually different from what I was charged when I placed the order. I guess they don't have the Canadian tax system set up properly yet since I was charged much more on the invoice with the item than I was at checkout.

Anon at 2:06 I hope they find your shipment! I guess I should call about mine. I hope they are still going to send it to me at the discount they said they would though with the cancelling of peoples giftcards I can't be too sure :(

  97. Ashley, I was planning on wearing it tucked into my skirts and pants. I'm not a big fan of the flowy, untucked thing. Plus, I work in an office :)

I like the look of it because it seems like a piece that sort of brings up the rest of what you are wearing, makes it more dressy. I do have a feeling that it will look better with a structured coat over it more-so than a sweater. Or if it is a sweater, something thick-knit.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Sorry to be daft here...so if I live near a B&M that has nothing left in the sale section I can call and order sale items at 40% off?

    ReplyDelete
  99. anon @2:55: yes, you can call your order into CS and ask for the 40% off since your store is having the sale, but doesn't have your size in stock. They will call to verify...I always have the number ready for them. Good luck...let us know what happens! :)

    ReplyDelete
  100. I just got back from the Rockaway Townsquare mall in NJ, and wanted to let those who are still looking for the much-coveted polka dot San Telmo jacket that there are two left there, I believe in a 4 and a 6. They also had a large selection of seersucker pants, many, many silk tanks (Piper, Amelia, and one whose name I can't remember but has a tie in the front). Sale merchandise was still 40% off, but it looked like it wasn't going to be around much longer.

I bought a Piper tank, and they took my teacher discount on top of the 40% off.

    ReplyDelete
  101. haus_frau: The Marcella would probably totally work for you then. I just hate when I find J. Crew pieces that could be cute with the right outfit, but they have absolutely no place in my wardrobe since I'm fairly casual and will be wearing scrubs to work!

    ReplyDelete
  102. mary: what was the price on the Polka Dot San Telmo?

    ReplyDelete
  103. OMG, FFM, I can't remember--maybe $69.99? (not including 40%, of course). I'm so sorry! I can give you the number to call--it's 973-366-5353. I just sort of made a mental note of it being ther (not in my size, sadly) because so many people here were looking for it, so I thought I'd report back--sorry for the shoddy sleuthing. I'll be more careful next time!

I hope you are successful when you call there--they're pretty nice. And be sure to ask for your educator's discount there--they honor it along with the final sale 40%.

    ReplyDelete
  104. weab: A CS told me on the phone about the meeting while he was apologizing for the delay in the shipment of my order.

    ReplyDelete
  105. Even if it's more than that, FFM, it's pretty cheap with that 40% off. And the educator's discount is gravy.

    ReplyDelete
  106. liana, I was wondering too about the whole duty and tax thing for Canadian orders. Someone mentioned they are not collecting duty, just tax, but parcels are still getting through with nothing owing to UPS upon delivery. I asked one rep about it and she said with Canadian Ground shipping, all tax and duty are included at time of ordering. But I guess it still hasn't been sorted out. I've been hesitant to order online precisely for this reason and have been phoning in my orders. I hope they honor the discounts they promised you as they should.

    ReplyDelete
  107. i just called to get the 40% off my online order, and they hung up on me! i waited on hold for about 10 minutes after talking to the CS, and then nothing ;(

    ReplyDelete
  108. ffm: thanks for the item number. It still doesn't show the sale colors, but I have probably spent enough. I just placed an order for two more cashmere cardigans. Hope you get all the ones you want!

    ReplyDelete
  109. It's very inconsistent with CS for trying to get that extra 40% on phone orders. The first time I tried it, the rep totally blew me off. The second time, the rep was lovely, took my order, gave me the 40% off, took the SHOP free shipping code, and I thought everything was great. Then, when I got my email, the 40% hadn't been deducted from one of the items, so I had to call back (!!!) and explain the problem. That rep told me the amount would be credited after the items ship (which could be any time, I guess--my order still says "open" after three days, so it's anybody's guess). Be patient, Melissa, that 40% is worth the effort.

    ReplyDelete
  110. mary: thanks for the info...I called and it is still marked at $99.99, so I think I am going to pass.

    ReplyDelete
  111. I'm sorry, FFM. Wouldn't they give you the extra 40?

    ReplyDelete
  112. mary: I didn't ask...even with the extra 40 off I would still have to pay for shipping, and that just ends up being more than I can do...it was on the web a couple of weeks ago for less than that and free shipping, so I should have gone for it then. I really need to hold off until the new September goodies come, as I'm sure I will see more things I want. :) Thanks again!

    ReplyDelete
  113. FFM

I'll be up there again next week (it's close to where I work, and my vacation is just about over, I'm afraid!). If you want me to check on it, let me know. We could probably work something out where I pick it up and mail it to you or something if you'd like, especially if it's marked down further.

    ReplyDelete
  114. About jackie cardigan.... how long is it? It seems pretty short on the model. Description does not help much. I think longer cardigans are more flattering Please help!

    ReplyDelete
  115. mary: That would be FABULOUS!!! Please do check on it when you go back...you are WONDERFUL! :)

    ReplyDelete
  116. anon 3:13: They are supposed to be collecting all duty and taxes on Canadian ground shipping, the packaging invoice that ships with the parcel shows this amount buy your cc shows the lesser amount. This happened to me on a phone order.

    ReplyDelete
  117. does the actual item have to be on sale 40% off at the b&m for them to give you the discount? she asked me if it was and i said yes, but i'm not sure. that was before i was hung up on.

    ReplyDelete
  118. i guess what i mean is, if it's on sale on the website but no longer in the store sale section (sold out), can you still get the 40%?

    ReplyDelete
  119. FFM

No problem...I'll keep my eye open. I know you're pretty tiny, based on prior postings--you want the 4, right?

If it's still there, and marked down again, I'll pick it up and use my educator's discount. What are you willing to pay for it, so I know?

I'm heading out again now, but I'll look for you the next time you're on here and we can work it out.

    ReplyDelete
  120. anon @3:22: The Jackie Cardigan is definitely on the shorter side...the pic of the model is pretty realistic of how it fits...maybe a little longer on an average non-model body. It is meant to be fitted and a little *shrunken* looking...I just love it, as it's super comfy. :)

    ReplyDelete
  121. Melissa

I did the other day, yes, but it depends on who you talk to on the phone. Very inconsistent. Just keep trying; don't let them blow you off. The second CS rep I spoke to called my store to verify the 40%, and she applied it to what I ordered from the website. I just had to feed her the item numbers and sizes, obviously. It was pretty easy once I was talking to the right person.

    ReplyDelete
  122. Jackie length - it comes a couple of inches under my belly button. The shell is a little longer than the cardigan. You get more coverage when you wear them together.

    ReplyDelete
  123. mary: I actually need the 6...I'm assuming it's comparable to the Black San Telmo and I have it in the 6. I purchased my Black one for $38, so I would really like to get the Polka Dot for that price, too, if possible. Much more than that and I think I will pass on it...$50 tops. :) Thanks again!

    ReplyDelete
  124. does anyone know if they have jackie cardigans at 40% off at the Tysons corner mall? I am interested in XS in various colors. Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  125. ok, called back and got 40% off the order i placed yesterday, plus another order today! the CS guy i talked to was a little short with me, but hey i can deal with that for 5 minutes to save that much!

    ReplyDelete
  126. mary: I meant $50 after all the discounts are applied along with the cost of shipping it to me. :) To get it from the store now would cost about $65, even with all the discounts applied, and that is almost twice what I paid for the Black one.

    ReplyDelete
  127. blumre: Can you do a review of the Westfarms store after you go? I'm curious to know which of the fall items they have and how helpful their SAs are. I'm going back to school soon and the closest b&m to me will be that store. Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  128. Aly sure! I love that store. I go nearly every weekend that I am up there!

    ReplyDelete
  129. I know that I am completely OT here and apologize but I'm kind of in a rut. I haven't ordered anything online from J. Crew since the whole website fiasco and its killing me. So, I think I am ready to order a few things over the phone through a store (I hope that makes sense). And, from what I have gathered if I do order over the phone through the store I can still receive the discount that is offered in the store? Someone please set me straight on this.. thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  130. mary ellen: that's correct. You can get the additional 40% off of sale items (whether the store caries it or not). Someone suggested before, that you go in with a list of items numbers from the web that you want to order when at the store. It really helps things move more smoothly.

    ReplyDelete
  131. weab: Boy am I glad to hear from you and with great information to give.. thanks for all of your help!

    ReplyDelete
  132. mary ellen: no problem! glad I could help! Let us know how it goes! btw, sorry for all the typos previously. :)

    ReplyDelete
  133. weab: Oh I definitely will.. I cannot wait! I will probably only end up ordering a few things but that is definitely ok because I am super excited about ordering again! No worries here, I'm in college and still wonder about my grammar sometimes.. ha!

    ReplyDelete
  134. OT: There seems to be new sale items and new deductions in the sale section: Eg the sparkle metallic clutch is now 29.99 not 49.99... happy hunting

    ReplyDelete
  135. FFM, you totally inspired me to try my luck with CS - I called and got a wonderful rep and got 4 Jackie's (help, I'm obsessed!) for $25 apiece and free shipping. Love them!

    ReplyDelete
  136. silver lining: Congrats! Which colors did you get? Btw...I'm obsessed with them, too! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  137. Sorry for being OT, but has anyone seen the Flamenco Dot cardigan? Are the big dots a bit much in person you think?

    Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  138. I got Bright Azul, Poppy, Soft Fuschia (my "power color"), and Sour Lemon. At that price you just cannot go wrong! Cardigans are like, my uniform - maybe because I watched a lot of Mister Rogers Neighborhood as a kid... the cardigan is ingrained in me!

    ReplyDelete
  139. Anon: the answer is yes, the dots are that size

    ReplyDelete
  140. silver lining: You are TOO funny! I just LOVE cardigans...they are also a uniform for me, and I love the reference to Mister Rogers, too! Btw...the second rep I had asked me if I wanted to get it monogrammed and I said "No...I would feel too much like Laverne"...he ACTUALLY knew what I was referring to...it was really pretty funny. He was a young guy, but still knew. :)

    ReplyDelete
  141. On the academy Cardigan has any tried it on... do you think it is the type of knit that will easily stretch out and lose its shape? Also would you go for the green or the white. I am leaning green... thoughts? Comments? conerns? stop me if you think I need to be stopped. OK?

    ReplyDelete
  142. oh blumre...that one is cute, too! The up close pic makes the knit look simlilar to the Katie and Kelly Sweater Jackets...I don't think they stretch out. Can you do both colors? They would be $25 each...I like both, but if you have to choose then go with the green since it seems like you really like that color. :)

    ReplyDelete
  143. jacquelyn - I feel ya. I struggle with finding sizes all the time at jcrew. Half of the time they only carry size 0 or size 6. I've been wanting to try on this one top for a couple of weeks now. I've gone to 4 different b&m and none of them have carried my size! ...frustrating. A lot of the time I can't even find a large...and if I can find a large a lot of the time it won't fit...and forget trying to find a XL. I love Jcrew but it also really sucks. Carry some actual sizes. As this relates to a personal shopper...I wouldn't get one because of the fear of not being able to ever find my size.

    ReplyDelete
  144. FFM, that's hilarious about the monogramming and Laverne! I don't think I'd be able to commit to having a monogrammed item... then I'd have to have a monogrammed Jackie and a non-monogrammed Jackie and my husband would wonder I had so many pairs of cardigans in our closet! Funny, we're lucky to have a really big closet that we split evenly... but then my stuff started creeping over, and over, and now he has like, a 2 foot space to hang all his work shirts! Anyway...

blumre - don't ask the Cardigan Crew if you need to be stopped (hahaha)... if anything, we'll all just end up enabling each other more! ;)

    ReplyDelete
  145. silver_lining: tell me about it. I am now staring at it thinking "Don't do it, you bought enough this week, don't do it. You might want something else later on." OY

However I think I could wear this all winter long and I think it could still keep me warm

    ReplyDelete
  146. I have the flamenco dot cardigan and I adore it. I paid full price for it even. LOL The dots are very big. I wear it on days that I need a pick-me-up. I wouldn't call it overbearing though because the colors (black and white) are so classic.

    ReplyDelete
  147. silver lining: I would completely kick my husband out of our closet if I could! If we ever have a house built I am requesting *seasonal* closets just for me. :)

    ReplyDelete
  148. AH! Got my Martine cardigan today and I'm SO SAD it's not available in pink/orange because it's THAT CUTE!

    ReplyDelete
  149. I have a closet full of sweaters (and then some!) and thanks to you enablers, you are making we want more.....argh..:)

    ReplyDelete
  150. caw: In complete enabler mode: the Jackie Cardigans are $49.99 with extra 40% off. :)

    ReplyDelete
  151. I am just read all about your deals and am sitting here "working"-ie. staring at all the colors of the jackies and saying..okay, what color sweaters do I not have, if I only get one...well, wait, that color is nice too! ARGH...25 bucks is SUCH a steal. The blue is really pretty!

    ReplyDelete
  152. molly, thank you for the kind feedback on the Flamenco Dot cardigan! My popover got canceled and I was wondering if the same style looks nice on a cardigan. Thanks again.

    ReplyDelete
  153. caw: I got the blue and the soft fuschia...can't wait! :)

    ReplyDelete
  154. jacquelyn: weren't you asking about the Bontecou skirt? I just got the chance to look at it in the Lucky Mag, and it is ADORABLE! What else did you find out about it? Please keep me posted...it may be put on my wishlist. :)

    ReplyDelete
  155. OH you freaking people...

CAW: I dont have a green in a sweater and now I want it. OY GAVULT! I am not going to be able to blog here soon! hehe!

FFM: Yea I never liked green before and all of a sudden I do. Its very weird!

    ReplyDelete
  156. LOL!blumre, This morning I ordered the academy cardi in pine too!!! Not to mention the beach one I ordered yesterday...on your review! :)I have also been buying cardi's left and right this week! (Thanks to all of you enablers!) I also bought the pintucked linen-silk in navy ($24!) and another Lily in navy($36)! I AM DONE...until tomorrow.. :P

    ReplyDelete
  157. Weab: I know i said I wasnt buying anything today... how horrible is that??? And now I want to sooo badly.

    ReplyDelete
  158. The beading on the flamenco dot cardigan is a really nice detail too. I think it's kind of 60s looking, like all the best J Crew stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  159. argh, thanks blumre and weab... now I am thinking the academy cardi in addition to jackies....seriously this blog is crazy. the power of suggestion and a great price makes it so hard to stop...
    ffm-those colors are fab.....

    ReplyDelete
  160. I just received the personal shopper e-mail, and it says (in the fine print, of course) that this discount can't be combined with any other promotion. Does this mean I couldn't add my teacher discount to the 20% off? I'm really interested in doing this, but I want maximum bang for the buck!

    ReplyDelete
  161. honestly, this blog, polyvore and searching the jcrew website is a full time job!

    ReplyDelete
  162. Got the Martine in pink and orange right now! I hope it comes. I can't beleive they had it in my size. Very strange - they didn't last week.

    ReplyDelete
  163. janek: I would think of the teacher's discount more as a policy rather than promotion. You should be able to combine the two like people were able to do with the in-store 20% coupon because that coupon had the same disclaimer. Maybe I'm being too technical, but I'm under the impression that promotions are temporary whereas the teacher's discount is one of J Crew's policies. It's definitely worth a try.

    ReplyDelete
  164. molly, were you able to get the extra 40% off the martine cardi? I haven't seen it in any stores. Also, how does it fit? I normally wear an XL in j.crew cardigans and a L in their pullover sweaters, but I see that the martine only has one button on top.

    ReplyDelete
  165. OT, does anyone have the egyptian cotton v-neck cardigan? Is it flimsy? Is it true to size? Also, do people think I will be able to get the additional 40% even though it is online/catalog only? It's the same price as the Jackie, but I like the style of this sweater more.

    ReplyDelete
  166. ffm: When I called today to ask about setting up an e-mail personal shopper I also asked about the Bontecou skirt. It will supposedly be available in late September, The actual price will be $118. The size range will be 0-12, so I guess I had better get to it if I want to get one. FYI, she also said it would be available in other colors.

    ReplyDelete
  167. Girls, we should totally do a "Jackie count" - I'm curious how many we have between us! If I had to choose my all-time favorite JC item that's probably what it would be.

    ReplyDelete
  168. I did not get 40% off and the EXTRA30 code expired. I paid 99 for it.

I take an XL in some J Crew sweaters and the L is pretty good on me. It has a nice tailored look. It's pretty short - I will likely wear it with skirts.

    ReplyDelete
  169. aly I just placed 2 orders and had a few items that were online only (Egyptian v-neck cardi was one of them!) and they didn't say anything. I think you'll be fine :)

    ReplyDelete
  170. Cristin/Jacquelyn,

I am in the same boat where an in-store personal shopper would be useless b/c most of my sizes are not carried in-store. However, I did set up an email appointment with a PS and she has been very sweet and helpful--not making me feel like a leper b/c I wear a large size! Also, I think via e-mail there is a lot less sales pressure. You can't get the 20% discount this way, but you can at least get outfit/styling suggestions and other info.

    ReplyDelete
  171. Aly-
Thanks for backing up what the lawyer in me already suspected!

    ReplyDelete
  172. OT Does the SHOP code still work anyone tried it?

    ReplyDelete
  173. jacquelyn: Thank you for the info...I wonder what the other colors will be...probably blue and gray, maybe honey glaze, too? I think it would look so pretty with a cardigan...did you pre-order, and if so...do you have the item number?

    ReplyDelete
  174. anon @5:59: the SHOP code worked for me earlier today on a phoned in order...I haven't used it through the website, though.

    ReplyDelete
  175. Note to all: The Academy cardigan is 22" long... much longer than it looks online. Or thats what the CSR just told me. That is longer than the xs in the featherweight merino V necks. So I did not order it!

I also got short shipped on a pair of flip flops. After 2 years mine died, the ones I ordered they are sold out of :( I am getting two of another kind for the price of one but I really wanted/and needed those :( This is just veyr frustrating. Note: ordering online is not reliable yet.

    ReplyDelete
  176. I am a newbie to all this. All of your comments are so helpful. Who knew there was an artform to J. Crew shopping. I have just "discovered" J. Crew. I work near a b&m store. I had always thought it was just for size 2 20 somethings (I wish I was still there!). It is nice to know that they carry things that appeal to 36ish, mom of 3 boys types too!! My first purchase was a navy Camilla cardigan. I am hooked. I love their sweaters. I have so enjoyed the blog.

    ReplyDelete
  177. cass, cristin, jacquelyn, and molly: I would ask the online PS to honor the 20% discount since you are not able to shop in the stores, due to your size not being available. It's a simple fact that if the stores carried your size then you would schedule an in store PS visit, since they don't...there is really no reason to do so, but you shouldn't miss out on the promotional deal. It should be the same for those not near a b&m, as well.

    ReplyDelete
  178. blumre: BUMMER!!!! Did you get anything else instead?

Leaders: So glad you decided to post, and welcome! As a mom of 4 boys I know exactly where you are coming from. :) Hope you continue to actively post.

    ReplyDelete
  179. I am so frustrated right now! I just received my hammered-silk tank that was supposedly PARTIALLY SHIPPED! This is a petite one that I thought didn't really exist in inventory since I tried 3 times to purchase it.(twice partial ship and once canceled). So I finally resorted to the regular size 2. It's on its way to me also! I don't see charges or credits or anything on my cc statement to make sense of what in the world is going on!

I just went to my b&m yesterday with ANOTHER duplicated order and return! They are starting to make jokes about me coming in with more boxes! This is ridiculous! I can't even follow (or make sense of) all these mistakes on my credit card! Grrrrr!!!! I thought we were finally passed "random acts of delivery"!

    ReplyDelete
  180. weab: that IS really frustrating! Maybe they are shipping you the orders that were supposedly cancelled? Have you been credited for everything you were mischarged? Do you even like the hammered silk tank?

    ReplyDelete
  181. ffm: I wanted to pre-order but was told it was not available for that. Also, I was not given at item number. I will be keeping an eye out for it, though! And if I do get a PS shopper I will make that #1 on my list of things to help me keep an eye on.

    ReplyDelete
  182. ffm: I think they sent the very first one that was "partial shipped". I haven't seen ANY itemized activity on my cc statement but the balance seems like I was charged. It's hard to say since jcrew credit card site doesn't stay updated very well and I also made some purchases recently. My credits for returns done in the b&m two days ago aren't showing up either though.

Anyway, I think all the fun of this tank has been sucked away! I feel like it doesn't lay right on me and puffs out too much at the waste when it rides up a little (make sense?) It sort of fits me like the rosette tank did....not good. :( I really STINKS because I love the color. oh well...

    ReplyDelete
  183. weab: I would keep a close eye on your CC to make sure all the charges are correct...can you use another form of payment until you receive everything you've ordered and make sure all is well?

I'm sorry to hear about your longed for tank! It's such a bummer when an item you've longed for and worked so hard to get is just NOT as you expected. On a brighter note: the Bright Peacock seems to be a popular color, and is in several of the other pieces, so I'm sure they will offer more blouses/tops in that color for September. Remember also...if you don't absolutely LOVE something 100% then you shouldn't keep it...the goal is to absolutely ADORE everything hanging in your closet! :)

    ReplyDelete
  184. cass & ffm

thanks for the tips...I might be emailing soon! :)

    ReplyDelete
  185. This is OT, but I thought I'd share. I have been keeping an eye on the flamenco dot cardigan to go on sale for my sister. So, I called her and told her to call in and ask the cs to call the store for the 40%. She called, and the cs wouldn't do it. So, she said thanks and hung up. I got her info and called for her. He started to tell me I had to be in a store, and I told him, no, I have done this several times before. So, he changed his tune and said he could do it and did I have the number. And, he honored the discount and free shipping with SHOP. She was so excited when I called her with the total! Funniest thing is, that I HATE to talk on the phone and am not "pushy" - she is way more than me. Yet, I'm the one who got her the deal. Bet she makes me call in all her orders from now on. :D

    ReplyDelete
  186. OH weab: I feel your pain. That is freaking annoying!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  187. math teacher: That's so great...good work! I'm sure your sister is just thrilled to death! :) Btw...how was your first day back to school?

    ReplyDelete
  188. ffm: A meeting ALL morning. They talked from 8:10 to 11:50, with only a 5 minute break! And, we were in the cafeteria seated at picnic tables, so no back to lean against. My back was hurting SO badly. And, it felt like it was 40 degrees in there! During our 5 minute break, we all went and got whatever kind of jacket or sweatshirt we could find. Then, lunch and work in rooms. So, not too bad once we got through this morning. Luckily, that's the longest meeting of the week! :) Thanks for asking. When do you start with your homeschooling?

    ReplyDelete
  189. math teacher: Glad you survived! Today sounds as if you could have actually worn some of the pieces you have been contemplating about getting. ;)

We are planning to start school this coming Monday if all goes as planned. I am still waiting on part of my curriculum to arrive, so that will be the defining factor as to whether or not we do. I can't believe how quickly Summer flew by!

    ReplyDelete
  190. ffm: you're right, I could have worn wool and been comfortable! I do agree that this summer has flown, I feel like we just left school. Normally, I'm ready to go back, but not this year. Although, it was good to see my fellow teachers again. It just blows my mind when there are several children in different grades, I can't comprehend teaching so many different subjects on so many different levels. Those of you who do it are miracle workers (and probably extremely organized!) :)

    ReplyDelete
  191. OT: BLUMRE...did you get the Florentine Print Cafe' Capri? They are marked down to $69.99, and you could probably get the additional 40 and 15.

    ReplyDelete
  192. math teacher: I have actually spent the past week and a half trying to re-organize each room of the house and get everything school ready...it gets us off to a better start that way. :)

    ReplyDelete
  193. I just called J Crew and it turns out that my order with my tartines has indeed been lost (or not shipped as the CS preferred to say). The irony is that they discounted the tartines to make up for losing my ruffle cardigans which are now out of stock. So now they've lost the order that was supposed to make up for the lost order. The CS agent told me to call on Saturday to see if they have been shipped. She also said they couldn't honour the 40% discount on sale items unless I called from the red phone.

  194. FFM,
The Jackie cardigan thing was excellent..You did mention that Jackie cardigan's are 49.99 and an additional 40% off. Is this discount valid on Avery ruffle cardigan, Merino ruffle cardigan & Eygptian cotton Short sleeve cardigan? I placed an order for 160 bucks this morning...:((
    Thanks!

  195. haus_frau - I tried on the Marcella. It is soooo beautiful in person. They had with honey glaze cords, a creme cardigan and a belt loose over the cardi. However, it looked boxy on me and I think that's mostly because of the ruffle. It's horizontal and that cuts the blouse into squares, if you will. It didn't occur to me to put a cardi over it, but I really wanted to be able to wear it alone. Anywho -- hope you like yours if you got it.

  196. liana: I am completely amazed that they are actually losing NEW merchandise...it's not like they really don't have the stock on the new items. I also can't believe the rep wouldn't honor the 40% off for you, especially after delivering such horrible news to you about your other order! If you really want to place an order with the 40% off then I would call back and speak to someone else. My store is still having the extra 40% off as of today...407-226-9732. Good Luck! Keep us posted!

  197. anon @7:51: as long as the sweaters are in the sale section, they should be eligible for the extra 40% off sale price. Double check that the colors you bought are on sale, and if they are, then you should be able to get the price adjustment to your order. Good Luck...let us know what happens! :)

  199. OMG! you all not going to believe this! (Or maybe you will at this point). I spent an hour on the phone with a csr who had to "investigate 4 different orders for me to be sure I will not receive anymore hammered silk tanks.

He discovered I was not charged for the one I received today and asked that I not return it! He explained that J.Crew has given them authority to allow customers who have received additional items to keep them free of charge since they weren't charged in the first place...as a courtesy to us. And as a courtesy to them they ask we don't attempt to return it! How much is this costing them! He said J.crew has been around for a long time and they will be just fine...

    what a MESS!!!!!!
