This post (of weekly posts) is for individual members who want to swap/sell/share among yourselves. This post is where you can mention your items and outside listing/ auction site (like eBay and eCrater). Please note: this posting is not for resellers.
Individual members can also request in this post, items that they are looking for and interested in buying. :)
Please note that any transactions are independent of this blog. (Especially since you will be using an outside listing/ auction site like eBay or eCrater.) Do you have any items you would like to swap/sell/share among yourselves through your outside listing/auction site? Is there an item (or items) that you are looking for and interested in purchasing?
Hey everyone; just discovered this site today, and it's fabulous!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I am in DESPERATE need of the Flamenco-Dot Marguerite dress in a size 0. I ordered it in a size 2, but it is HUGE on me! It comes down to me knees, and trust me, I am not supposed to be a size 0/2 (5'5", 125 lbs). I was planning on wearing the dress to my graduation ceremony this Friday. I would get the size 2 dress altered, but that would bring the tab up to $400; and while the dress is cute, it's not THAT cute!
Anybody have any leads? It's sold out online (obviously, otherwise I wouldn't be posting here), and J.Crew was unable to find it for me.
Thanks!
Hi Ashley- we love to meet new J.Crew Aficionadas!
ReplyDeleteHopefully a member of this blog can help you locate that dress. :)
I have a pair of grey matchstick cropped jeans in 27 that I'd love to swap or sell.
ReplyDeleteOff the top of my head, I'm iso a tank dress in XS. Fed-ex lost my order of them back in June :(
I have a Navy Toulouse Sweater in Size Small that I've never worn. I think it even still has tags. Let me know if you'd like it for a reasonable price! rlm26@case.edu
ReplyDeleteFor Sale - Petite Favorite Fit Everyday Chino (81394) in Crisp Blue, Size P6. Brand new. $22 shipped. gigiofca@gmail
ReplyDeleteHi everyone!
ReplyDeleteI have a few JCrew things on ebay right now, as I am moving apartments and these items don't fit me and won't make the move!
JCrew short trench with kimono sleeves (Does anyone remember the proper name for this adorable coat?)
Strapless coral printed Dress
Blue Dot Cami Tank
My ebay name is sanfranpreppycloset, please feel free to take a look! Send me a note if you see something you like and are a fellow aficionada!
Thanks! JLiz
JLiz, that coat is the Sadie trench - oh, how I wish that it was my size!
ReplyDeleteHey guys - I have the Metallic brushstroke-print femme sweater (item 93356) in Medium in Navy. I got it in store at 20% off $69.00. Email me if your interested. kredmann@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteHi everyone!
ReplyDeleteThe bootcut 28 short jeans that I had for auction on ebay last week didn't sell. I relisted them here if anyone is interested!
girliegirl: I'm interested in the jeans. How's the sizing? Do these run small/large/true? Thanks. - Laura
ReplyDeleteHi friends, I'm selling a new with tags almond Fiona Jacket in size 6 on ebay, item 110276380382, my ebay handle is cherrybanks. Also I will be selling a madras patchwork jacket in size 0 soon. It is hard to part with the Fiona that everyone raves about, but in the end, I have other jackets I know I'd reach for first. Thanks for this thread, Alexis!
ReplyDeleteHello Ladies:
ReplyDeleteI have a ton of stuff, all new w/tags and shoes new in box that I will be selling on eCrater. I'm uploading the pics now and hope to have it all done by this afternoon.
Clothing is size S or M, 6 or 8. Shoes 8.5 or 9. Only accepting GoogleCheckout. Can combine shipping, using USPS priority.
I'll post the link when it's ready.
I still have the pair of vintage slim jeans, NWT, size 27 (though they run large). They are from last winter (Feb. 08) and they are whiskered and mildly distressed, unlike the ones featured on the site now with the holes in them.
ReplyDeleteHere is the link. Only 3 items listed so far.
ReplyDeletehttp://thefashionista.ecrater.com/
I have a Striped Katie sweater in ivory/navy, 2 pairs of favorite fit everyday chinos, and a striped Kelly shirt under seller name mcamps80. All items are NWT and sizes S or 6. Please feel free to ask any questions.
ReplyDeleteI have 2 pairs of flip flops, both size 7. Silver capri sandals with Dr. Scholl's clear arch supports. Nubuck flip flops NWOT from this season, dark khaki (darker brown color). Both are just not narrow enough for me. Please post if interested so we can make arrangements aficionada-to-aficionada. Thx!
ReplyDeleteHey all;
ReplyDeleteI'm desperate for a pair of pumpkin orange york suede driving loafers in size 9. A 2007 item I'm still kicking myself for not picking up.
Thanks!
ashley: The store on Madison Ave still have the Flamenco Dot Marguerite dress (don't know if they have a size 0), but they do have a handful. Try giving them a call: 212.949.0570
ReplyDeletealexis, this is a great site! i was a big fan of the crew back in the day (i had many rugbies and a barn jacket), and it's nice to see they've got their mojo back with some very stylish clothing...
ReplyDeletei've been looking for the midnight rugby striped skirt in black/navy in a size 2/4...they had a similar skirt for spring in grey/lemon and pink...contact me through my blog if you have it...
I have a size 4 tall silk faille white strapless knee length dress, it has removeable straps and a little bow on the waist band...
ReplyDeletee-mail me if anyone is interested...

I have a sz. 2 dress from two years ago - I can't find a like-one on the website but it's what the Louisa replaced, basically (a scoop necked silk faille dress, I think called whitney maybe). It's light blue. I had the skirt tailored so it would fluff out less. I had high hopes for it but never even wore it (still has tags!) because it barely fit and was FS. I'd be willing to trade it or sell it to anyone who's interested.
ReplyDeleteI have a Jackie cardigan from last Fall in I think light pewter (it's off white) in a small. I bought it online final sale but I've never worn it and it's a bit tight on my arms anyway. I'm an athlete, so my arms are a little muscular. The cardigan is NWOT. I removed the tags when I received it.
ReplyDeleteEmail me at ASISLS3@gmail.com if you're interested.
I also have the Chestnut Pleated Shirtdress from Spring 2007 that I've worn once in size 2. Here's a description and picture of the same item: http://www.outblush.com/women/fashion/dresses-skirts/jcrew-shirtdress/. It's really cute and comfortable, but it doesn't really work with my skintone. The stripes are a sand/tan color.
ReplyDeleteKim: Thanks for the nice comment about the site! I agree that J.Crew is fabulous because of the quality and stylish clothes. :)
ReplyDeleteVICTORY IS MINE!!! WebbySuzy, thanks so much for the lead on the Madison Avenue location. While they did not have the Flamenco-Dot Marguerite dress in a 0, it inspired me to go on a rampage, calling all the J.Crew's in what I deemed the "major cities." I think I called at least 12 stores. I was really surprised about how many sales associates had no clue what I was talking about. "Flamingo dress?", "Flamenco dress?," "Margaritas?" Seriously??? Even if they never carried the dress in their store, I want my J. Crew associates to be just as knowledgeable and obsessed as I am!!
ReplyDeleteAnyhow, the last store I called was the one in Easthampton, NY. I figured if any place has it, they've gotta have it in the Hamptons! And I was right. I was so shocked that they actually had the dress in a size 0. And now I get a student discount, and only $5.95 for 3-day rush shipping. Yay!!!!!!
ashley: I am so glad you found your dress! And it only took 12 stores. I do understand your frustration at sa's not knowing what you're looking for. I called 16 stores looking for a fiona and almost every sa asked me to describe it. I was shocked since it was such a popular jacket, yet very few sa's knew what it by its name. Anyway, congrats!
ReplyDeleteAshley: I echo Math Teacher's congrats! I think it is great you were able to locate that dress! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for all of the congrats!
ReplyDeleteAnother question: Do any of you know if the Phoebe and black silk polka-dot ruffle-collar long sleeved shirt dresses on eBay are from the factory stores, or are they the real deal? I am thinking about purchasing one or the other, or both for this winter, but I don't want anything of sub-par quality.
Thanks!
I have my papaya fiona in a size 10p. It is $40 shipped. I paid $43 shipped for it. This was the extra fiona I ordered when I didn't know if I would get my orders.

Hi everyone! I have some new preppy items up on my ebay page - and I wanted to tell you guys first about the taffeta skirt I just put up for sale - it is so so gorgeous, I absolutely loved it and I am so sad it won't be fitting me this holiday season :(!
ReplyDeleteIt is ebay item #: 180273532067
I also have a great Vineyard Vines halter up, some incredible AG jeans, amongst other things :)
enjoy!
Ashley - CONGRATS on your dress! That took a lot of perseverance! :)
-CopleyCrew (that's my ebay name too!)
I am looking for a pair of Lucie high heels, 7.5 in sour lemon.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Ashley, congratulations on your find! And I totally agree with you wanting your J.Crew associates to be more obsessed than yourself. It's a little distressing for people who sell items not to know what they're selling. =( But I tell ya, ladies, hard to top our lil' group right here! LOL!
ReplyDeleteOn another note (OT, so we say *wink*), I got my Giraffe necklace!! It is FAB.U.LOUS. =)
I can't wait to wear it!
Eddie & Stretch's Momma: CONGRATS on the giraffe necklace!!! After all this time, you were able to get it- that is really fantastic news. :)
ReplyDeleteIt is, Alexis! I finally caved in even if it was much more than I would've probably gotten it via J.Crew sales and such. But oh well, I have it and I will loooove it! Heehee.
ReplyDeleteAshley -- I don't know about the Phoebe dresses on eBay, but you can ask them directly if it's from a regular store/online or a factory store. To be even more sure, ask them to email you a photograph of the label tag in the neck. If you see 3 diamonds stiched below the J Crew stitched wording, then it's from the factory. Same with Banana Republic items. They also have 3 diamonds stitched on the label tag.
ReplyDeleteLaura- I think they run tts. I am usually a 26 and these 27 are a little too big for me

If anyone is interested e-mail me a davoli at cox dot net and I can send pictures or discuss price.
I got burned again (my own fault), so just a reminder to ask about the factory issue.
ReplyDeleteI bought a pair of "J.Crew cafe capris" on eBay--the stitching on the waistband appeared and the coin pocket made it appear to be be last year's store/catalog item, so I bought them.
Once I got them though, it was clear they were "off"--the black was faded and the fabric was different. The tag said "Factory Store--special value" but the label did not have the three diamonds.
I don't think this seller was dishonest but there are a lot out there who will "omit" the factory information. I didn't pay very much for them and this mistake justifies letting be buy the Claire ankle pant (once I get over my snit with jcrew.com).
But, it's a reminder that the buyer should beware!
Does anyone have the "scattered" locket necklace from last fall that they're willing to part with?
ReplyDeleteIt was gold-tone and had little lockets scattered across a simple thin chain. It originally retailed for $65.
Please email me if you do at wickedassin at yahoo dot com
Thanks so much!
i have a couple of Super 120s Sleeveless suiting dresses that I purchased for $37, willing to sell for $35, they are brand new with tags. Size 14
ReplyDeleteI also have a couple of pairs of the Favorite-Fit Ludlow Suiting Trousers that I am willing to sell for $65, they are in size Tall 12 and I purchased them for $99 less 30% off
All items are brand new with tags.
Thanks
