(P.S. A great site to find Cole Haan codes is RetailMeNot.)
Eddie Bauer is offering $20 on purchases of $100+ with codes: AUGFLH8 (online) | 4717 (in stores) | A1090 (by phone). This offer expires 8/18/08.
"Thanks!" to Cass in this post who let us know that Gap Inc. is offering free shipping with code MULTISTORE on any order (and any size) as long as you shop at 2 or more of their online stores in the same order. This offer expires 8/31/08.
"Thanks!" also to FabulousFloridaMommy who shared with us this email (click here) that GAP sent, offering customers 20% off purchases of $75+ at Gap Outlet stores. This offer expires 8/26/08.
The following set of codes are more limited- it is based on "first come, first served".
- Lands Ends Kids is offering free shipping (online or over the phone) with no minimums using code SCHOOL and pin 1478. (This code will only work a max of two times.) Offer expires 8/19/08.
- Children's Place is offering 15% off all purchases online with codes M28IREL5Q88 and M28L4X2PJ88. (These two codes will only work a max of one time each.) Offer expires 9/2/08.
FYI: Website is having difficulty so I called an placed an order over the phone. I was able to use the EXRTA 30% plus I asked if I could get free shipping because the website was having problems and the supervisor approved it! Always looking for a way to make J.Crew work for me! Happy shopping ladies!
ReplyDeleteI read that book last year. It really made me re-evaluate the way that I shop. I highly recommend it!
ReplyDeleteThank you, thank you, thank you for the Cole Haan code! You just saved me $65!
ReplyDeleteI just ordered two pairs of Nike Air pumps from Cole Haan based on some previous reviews by J.Crew Aficionadas. Saved a pretty penny or two thanks to the code! So much for cutting back on shopping...
ReplyDeleteBTW, I was at a J.Crew B&M last night and they were still having the 40% off final sale promotion.
And lastly, Coach's 25% Friends and Family event starts this weekend. It will last til next weekend but you need a card in order to receive the discount.
O/T, I thought that I saw someone is looking for "Flamenco-dot Marguerite dress size 10" earlier today. But I can not find that post. So whoever is looking for it, it looks like you can find it at Jcrew.com FS section. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone have any codes for GAP other than the normal ones you get when using the store card? I need pants and I love their Perfect Trousers and Essential Jeans. :) TIA!
ReplyDeleteffm-
ReplyDeleteAll Gap jeans are 25% off right now. Go to their website. I don't know if you can stack their promotions, but if you order off two of their sites in one order (Gap, BR, ON, Piperlime), you get free shipping with a code listed on the site.
janek: thanks for letting me know...I've checked the site, but all I can find is the free shipping when you add a Piperlime purchase...is that the one you are talking about? I have items from the other 3 stores in my cart but don't see a code.
ReplyDeleteThey changed it! This morning it said you get free shipping if you order from any two of the four stores. Hmmmm.....
ReplyDeleteffm, the code is MULTISTORE
ReplyDeleteI am so intrigued by these Air pumps - any Aficionadas already own them? What do you think? I've been eyeing these Carma OT tortoise ones...
ReplyDeleteThanks for being on the ball, Cass! I didn't use the code myself, since I just dropped a ton at a b/m Banana yesterday. I'm surrounded by the actual stores, by being a busy mom, free shipping is so helpful and a little decadent, like Christmas. Except Santa's sleigh is brown and gives off a lot of exhaust. Sorry I didn't have the code for you myself, ffm!
ReplyDeletejanek: that's a real BUMMER...wish I would have checked the site this morning!
ReplyDeletecass: THANKS!!! :)
silver lining, I have the carma OT pumps in patent mahogany. they are awesome! i always get compliments on them. just note that I find cole haan shoes tend to run a tiny bit on the smaller side.
ReplyDeleteO/T but I just got a really interesting email from J.Crew ... anyone else receive something similar?

Not sure if I'll even be using the code ... 15% off of full-price probably won't even cover the shipping!
The book looks so interesting! I am definitely checking it out! :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, I totally remember the Prada backpack. Do you remember "10 Things I Hate About You" where one of the characters is asked the difference between like and love and she responds, "Well, I like my Skechers but I LOVE my Prada backpack!"
Lauren: Is the code one time use? I noticed you marked it out, which is why I ask. :) Agreed, though, that 15% w/o free shipping isn't a great deal.
ReplyDeletejanek: No worries about the code! :) I would just go up to the GAP, but they never seem to have my size in the store, and I end up having to order online anyways. I figured I would just save the gas money and hassle by ordering online, instead.
ReplyDeletelauren: very interesting email...at least they notified you that you are being short shipped...that's alot more than most customers have received. Maybe they will start doing this for everyone. :)
fyi, MULTISTORE exp. 8/31.
ReplyDeleteLauren, that is nice that they offered you a code. I wonder if that is a new policy. BR/GAP/ON/PL has been doing that for a while when you order an item that goes out of stock. Theirs is only 10% but is not limited to FP items.
Melanie -- I'm almost positive it's one-time use, since mine doesn't look like the one Alexis just posted. If I decide not to use it, I'm definitely posting it :)
ReplyDeleteFFM: I have a 10% discount at gap.com for you. It's only for one-time use, hope no one uses it since you were the one who asked ( BVK87263R18D). It's good until August 26. I have their perfect trousers and I LOVE, LOVE it. Happy shopping.
ReplyDeletemarie: THANK YOU!!! :) You ROCK!
ReplyDeletemarie: Which Perfect Fit did you get?
ReplyDeleteFFM: You're welcome. Let me know if the code worked. I have 4 of their perfect trousers: perfect-tab waist trouser in grey, perfect dobby trouser in gray & earth brown, & perfect plaid trouser. I love that their trousers come in 3 lengths: ankle, regular & tall so I never need spend $10 to hem my GAP pants.
ReplyDeleteLauren: Thanks for sharing that email from J.Crew. :) I am happy to hear that they are offering something to customers negatively affected by online orders.
ReplyDeleteAlso, thanks for the heads up on those codes being a one-time situation. Maybe J.Crew is moving towards that direction for codes.
That book looks very interesting. Great post.
ReplyDeleteKathy T - I think you'll love your Airs. They are so comfortable.
Cass - I second your info about ON/BR/GAP. If they go to stock and find your item is unavailable, they send you a code for 10% off. It's only available to use online, but it doesn't expire 15 days from the email. There is a longer expiration than the one J Crew is offering.
marie: IT WORKED!!! THANK YOU AGAIN! :)

ReplyDeleteSorry for the multiple posts...I guess the computer or blogger freaked out.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you posted about the book--I remember walking into a Coach store and asking where the bags were made. China. What a letdown.
ReplyDeleteClearly things have changed in the design world, and while I agree it's made fashion accessible to so many more, there are some quality issues that we should be asking before we spend our hard-earned money.
Of the five items I received from J.Crew today--three were made in China, one in the Philippines and one (wool pencil skirt) Japan. I don't know what any of this means, exactly, but I don't assume a superior quality from J. Crew (or anywhere) anymore. I'm just happy I got good deals on clothes I wanted.
anon @7:44
ReplyDeleteinteresting observation. Sometimes the Made in China <-> bad quality? thing is a self-fulfilling prophecy. We're going there to seek out the cheapest manufacturing options, ergo, we're not choosing the quality manufacturers who would cost more when sourcing overseas.
for me JCrew quality is all over the place. I always have to resew buttons on my cardigans and their Italian merino knits pill like crazy! but I also have JCrew items from high school that I'm still wearing, and they were made all over the world. When I do my yearly closet cleanout I try to see which pieces have been in my closet for 1, 2, 5 or more years; amazingly, I have several pieces from JCrew past the 5 year count!
I can't get the MULTISTORE code to work. I put things from 2 stores in my cart and enter all my info, but it tells me I have not yet earned the promo code. It's a shame, because I really needs some basic tees, but I really don't want to pay for shipping.
ReplyDeleteMichelle: I know what you mean! :)
ReplyDeleteI tried to order something last night (one item from Gap one from BR) and the code MULTISTORE didn't work. Even though the code does exist and when I click on "details" for the code- I clearly met the requirements.
I am thinking about calling in the order or just not ordering at all. :)
michelle and alexis: MULTISTORE did not work for me, either. I ended up signing up for email updates with GAP from a new email address, checked that I wanted to hear from BR, GAP, and ON...I then received emails from each retailer...BR sent one for FREE SHIPPING on any amount. I used that plus the 10% off code Marie gave me. :) GAP sent me one for $15 off of $75, and ON sent one for $10 of of $50...they don't expire until the end of September, either. YAY!
ReplyDeleteAlexis: I thought the same thing about not ordering at all ;)
ReplyDeleteFFM: Thanks for the tip on signing up for emails. And YAY for stackable codes!
FFM & Michelle: I just tried again and MULTISTORE did work for me (so I went ahead with my order).
ReplyDeleteI also noticed that they have the MULTISTORE code shown on their website (which is something they did not have up last night).
Hopefully you can try again with the code. :)
alexis: I don't see the MULTISTORE on the website, and it still isn't working for me...weird...
ReplyDeleteFFM and Alexis: It's still not working for me either. I'm taking it as a sign that maybe I should lay off :P
ReplyDeletemichelle: If you can use an email address that hasn't been registered with them before, then I would suggest doing that...the coupon emails they send are really a great deal! :)
ReplyDeleteHi All,
ReplyDeleteAccording to the website this morning, you don't even need to enter the MULTISTORE code at all. It is being automatically applied (according to the link). They must have gotten some feedback on its functionality and fixed it. Take note, J Crew!
FFM & Michelle: That is weird that the code didn't work for you this morning and it did for me. I did reboot the computer this morning which clears my cache & cookies. Maybe that might work to get the code to work. :)
ReplyDeleteBut I think this code is overall weird because last night the code didn't work for me at all even though I did meet the requirements.
alexis and michelle: I cleared out my cache and restarted the computer...it STILL does not show up. I just get the message about Free Shipping if you order from Piperlime and one of the other 3 stores...so weird...
ReplyDeleteFFM and alexis: I gave up on it. I haven't been having luck with online ordering of late, and I kind of need to cut back anyway. I hope you got some great items though :) Please share if you find anything delicious!
ReplyDeletemichelle: that's a bummer about the code. I never did get it to work, either...so weird. Last night I used that 10% off code from Marie and a Free Shipping Code from BR to purchase these Crop Pants Click Here in Black. I also purchased these pants from GAP: Click Here . I already have them in Brown, but needed a new pair of Khakis and these are longer than J.Crew pants, which I love. :)
ReplyDeleteFYI, for future reference, if a GAP/BR/ON code is not working, you should just call the 1-800 number and they will adjust the price or waive the shipping fee for you. I have done this many times and never had any problem. It doesn't depend on what your CSR had for breakfast. ;)
ReplyDeleteFFM: Cute! I especially like those crop pants. They look comfortable and chic.
ReplyDeletemichelle: Thanks! I think the crop pants are great, too! I'm going to wear them now with my Weathered Stone Silky Jersey Tank, Serengeti Belt and Serengeti Capri Sandals. Then I will transition them into Fall/Winter by wearing them with knee boots. The price was good and the shipping was free, so I am pleased. :)
ReplyDeleteMichelle & FFM: I have to say I am baffled as to why that "Multistore" code seems to be so flaky.
ReplyDeleteJust FYI...Anthropologie is offering free shipping too..."AUG08" is the code.
ReplyDeleteI happen to notice the different types of free shipping available online.
ReplyDeleteI currently have two different internet programs (mozilla and safari) on my laptop and tried to access GAP using both. I used safari and three different free shipping methods was available. When I use mozilla, I got only one method for all store.
I think it must be some glitch. But yeah for me I just order over the $100 and get free ship, b/c I have GAPcard and return what I don't want later.
If anyone is looking for great discounts and deals, be sure to check slickdeals.net, if you don't know about already.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many interesting thing on there. This is where I use to check for J.Crew coupons. :D
