  1. I have been very pleased with my fall purchases from j Crew (except the Mona Patent Mary Janes - they are a pain in the ass but I am hopefully whipping them into shape). I especially love, love, love my Majesty Pea Coat in Dublin Green, the Macallister Wedges in Nut, and the Sparkle Bow Top.

    1. Can you tell me more about the wedges? Are they comfortable for all-day wear around the office? I really like the style since I feel like I'd look silly in desert boots, but I am a wimp about heels. TIA!

    2. Are you curious about the macallister wedges? I bought them last year... Love! I'm usually a flat shoes only kind of girl but these are very manageable for even me. Usual size but I can't wear overly thick socks with them.

    3. Yes, those! I get blisters like crazy but being able to wear socks with them is awfully appealing...

    4. I promise, yes I am an enabler, you will not be disappointed. I reviewed on my blog..they are like the Clark's wallabies very sophisticated cousin. They have decent padding but I did add foot petals to make them even more lovable. The nut color will go with everything..cross between brown and gray. I wear a size nine, tts, and they are very slimming :) love the extra height without the extra pain..and being able to keep my tootsie's warm with socks is always a thumbs up!

    5. I just got the McAllister wedges (nut color) an in store 25 percent off on those shoes only.I normally would not have gravitated to them but the sales associate was wearing them with Minnie's and they looked so good on her! I couldn't resist. They are so comfy and flattering. Curious to hear what else others wear them with?

  2. I am completely in love with my Corgi cashmere socks. They are divine. My feet are always frezzing when the mercury drops and I tested them out for the first time this week. They're so warm and cozy, like an old, comfortable sweatshirt for your feet. The cashmere knit is thick and of very good quality. I don't foresee any problems with handwashing them. I wore them with a half size too big pair of boots and they probably won't fit in any of my correctly sized boots because of their thickness. I'm thinking that they would be great with rain boots too.

I purchased my three pairs at a steal right around around after the holidays, sometime in January or February but I'm seriously considering purchasing some more with my 25% off coupon. I hope that the quality is the same as last year's version.

  3. Just got one ( there are two more coming) 30% off sale orders, I love the paley pant...finally a J Crew pant that fits me well. Now if they would only make it in more colors and fabric like those cafe capris. I also love the snowcat boy shirt (thanks to reviews here I ordered it) The stovepipes were a miss ( not narrow enough to be called stovepipe)The collection silk/crepe blouse is a keeper ( why are the Bylthe blouse not made with lovely covered buttons like this one...? )Jewellery was a bust (not final sale... thank goodness....all bracelets and necklaces going back (cheap looking) I did order some summer things that I wanted more off...they are all perfect...all in all not too bad on the first of pkgs Carolyn from Vancouver

  4. I cannot be more in love with the tartan shirts. I ordered the patriotic ivory at the end of last year for a song and have worn it constantly ever since. I went ahead and ordered this year's version, as well as the black watch plaid, as soon as I saw that it was tartan. They should be arriving tomorrow and I cannot wait to incorporate them into my fall wardrobe. J crew does their tartan shirts right.

  5. I would say it fits exactly like the blythe. I took the same size I always do in J Crew tops...a 12 in blouses and large in sweaters. The 12 in the collection silk/crepe fit very well...lovely slightly weighty (thicker) fabric. It has lovely fabric covered buttons on front and on sleeves (well constructed garment)...worth the slightly higher cost. I paid $114 canadian. I hate the cheap buttons on the blthye and I find the silk pretty flimsy...but maybe this type of silk is meant to be like that...... Carolyn from Vancouver

  6. This may not be true in the near term due to Sandy, but it seems like J.Crew has improved the time to ship. I tend to shop on Fridays (my day off), and formerly if I ordered something on a Friday I wouldn't get a ship notice until Tuesday or Wednesday, and the order wouldn't arrive until the next Monday. My most recent orders have shipped the same day and arrived Wednesday or Thursday.

  7. Super excited that I just dropped $200 at the J.Crew outlet in Seattle and came home to find a 30% off coupon in the mail to use. I called the store and they offered to refund me the difference within 30 days of my original purchase =)
