  1. I did my Madewell shopping with last week's WOOHOO promo, so I'm sitting this one out. Bought the Skinny Skinny jeans in Western Wash, Cableknit Sweater in Ecru, and Silk Horseplay Boyshirt (yes, I have the Horseplay tee too, I just can't get enough of that print). In love with all three items, and I'm especially excited about how well the Silk Boyshirt fits since now I can risk FS to buy that blouse in other colors/prints for cheap in the future.

  2. I, too, did damage during the WOOHOO promo, so unlikely I will splurge again. Some reviews on my blog here.

  3. I would have bought the pants that I've been eyeing since it rolled out in the new arrivals a few weeks ago, but of course my size is gone. :(

  4. Also, the Madewell bateau button sweater that Rose reviewed on her blog is on promo in store, and I just purchased it for 25 percent off (with free shipping). The SA said that sweater has been flying out of their store (in Illinois) throughout this last week.

  7. I also did a fair bit of damage there last week, so not likely this time. They did mark down the bag I want, but not in the color I want :(. Maybe for black Friday... But I got the snakeskin skimmers I ordered, and they're great, as expected!

  8. Contemplating the Charade Blazer in Oxford Blue. Could anyone comment on the fit, particularly on the shoulders? TIA!

    1. I tried this on Monday and it's a very pretty blazer.
I sized up in this because I have broad shoulders and a larger busy size and the fit was great. The shoulders didn't feel tight, I didn't have any pulling across the back or upper arms and I could close the button without gaping. If you have a smaller upper frame, you should be fine with your regular size. Hope that helps!

  10. Well I caved, again, and bought the high gate pump in suede and the purple silk vneck top. Anyone have a review on the high gate pump?

  11. (Reply doesn't work)

Any advice on sizing for the Madewell patent skimmers? Did you take your usual J Crew flat size? I am an 8 in the J Crew Cece's but wasn't sure how to translate this to Madewell, esp since patent is so stiff...

    1. In my opinion, the sizing is about the same as the Ceces. I have leather Ceces and patent skimmers and they fit about the same in size 8.
