Take 25-30% Off Sitewide at J.Crew {15% Off at Factory & 25% Off at Madewell!}

"Thanks!" to many of you, including GigiOfCa (in this post), as well as Irina & Marietta, who let us know about the following promotions.

J.Crew is offering an additional 30% off SITEWIDE (no min!) and free shipping (on orders of $150+) for J.Crew cardholders with promo code CARDMEMBER. This offer extends to in store purchases. It expires November 25, 2012.

J.Crew is also offering an additional 25% off SITEWIDE (no min!) and free shipping (on orders of $150+) with promo code COLOR25. This offer expires November 25, 2012. The fine print includes:
*Offer valid on purchases made in J.Crew stores or at jcrew.com from 11/21/12, 12:01am ET, through 11/25/12, 11:59pm ET. Offer not valid in J.Crew Factory stores, at factory.jcrew.com, at the J.Crew 769 Madison Avenue location, or on phone orders. Cannot be applied to previous purchases or the purchase of gift cards and cannot be redeemed for cash or combined with any other promotion. To redeem online, enter the code COLOR25 in the promo box at checkout. Discount not valid on purchases of certain third-party branded merchandise. Free shipping valid for shipments to the U.S. and Canada on online orders of $150 or more, before taxes are added, shipped via regular ground shipping (3 to 6 business days). Offer valid in the U.S. and Canada only. Terms of offer are subject to change.
J.Crew Factory is offering an additional 15% off SITEWIDE and free shipping (on orders of $100+) with promo code GIVEANDGET. It also expires November 25, 2012.

Lastly, Madewell is offering an additional 25% off SITEWIDE (no min!) and free shipping (on orders of $100+) with promo code TREAT. This promotion expires November 26, 2012.

It is always nice to see an additional percent off available online and in B&M stores. I am also pleased to see it started before Thanksgiving, so we can get an extra day in!

Will you be taking advantage of this promotion? Any items you are interested in? If so, please share!

  1. Got a Factory email that everything is 40% off, plus an extra 15% off if you spend $100+ with code GIVEANDGET!

  2. Yippee! What an amazing sale! Great that there is no minimum. I seem to recall last year, one had to spend over $150 to get the discount.

  3. I thought this was a wonderful deal, but when I looked at the website I found out the 40% off is already included in the prices ("prices as marked").. So when you use the code (if you spend more than $100), all you get is 15% off. A little deceiving, once I checked and there are lots of items (at least the ones I had my eye on) that are marked the original price (FP).

  4. Hm, yeah, this is deceiving. My email said Everything is 40% off (price as marked), but not everything is. On the landing page, it says "up to 40% off" -- um, that's not the same thing.

  5. I agree w/Nanda re: JCrewfactory, the prices are ok, but not the best they could do. Several items I already own were a better price back in October, and it looks like they removed the popular classic button-down shirt in plaid from the site.

Off topic: Regarding the new checkout screen, I would like the price being paid for each item to be shown before I commit the purchase. I can do the math but it's just quicker/easier for it to be displayed on screen. The price per item impacts what I'm purchasing, not the discount on the entire order.

    1. Strangely I'm on a Mac and I see the new checkout when I use Chrome, but still see the old one on Firefox. With the new checkout in Chrome, there's no way to enter a rewards card. I can enter the card number but there's no place to enter a PIN and when I try to submit the card number, I get a "Please enter a valid PIN" error.

(By the way, this is just based on mock checkouts - even with the discount, there's not much I'm inspired to buy today.)

    2. I noticed the same thing in Chrome (though I'm on a pc), but once I signed in, the pin box appeared, and I was able to use my rewards card, no problem. I grabbed a few things, so now hopefully I can just relax and enjoy my holiday weekend. Good luck to anyone flying today - my plane is already delayed! :(

  6. @justvisiting -- Agreed on both counts! They had the discount showing back on the other day, and now it's been removed again. So annoyed -- I like to see that discount as well.

OT, but Anthro has 25% off sale and tons of markdowns this morning. I'm not sure if it's advertised yet, but it applied automatically to my cart.

    1. Oh, thanks tons! Would not have known otherwise.

    2. Do you know if this 30% off applies in stores?

      Delete
    3. Yes, the 30% cardholder promo is good in-stores as well per the email I recvd. I would definitely speak up if the cashier doesn't say anything. They are briefed or given access to current promos when their shifts begin, but believe me that doesn't mean anything.

    4. Is there an online code for the cardmember 30% off? My local store also confirmed 30% off everything in store with the JC card.

    5. Nevermind about the code...I just realized the code is CARDMEMBER. Thanks!

    1. Nothing is supposed to be final sale right now. CS confirmed for me. Lots of glitches. In addition to some items marked ending in .99, the solid opaque tights on promo for $14.00 are showing up as FS, for example.

    2. Really? The Gabby top and the opaque tights I just bought (as you mentioned) are both final sale...

  14. Ladies, run don't walk to your nearest Factory store! Just came from there and the whole store is 50% off, no exclusions!

  15. Has anyone had any luck recently with stacking the student discount with another promo at any of the NYC stores?

    1. I'm going to try this morning. In the past, the manager at my store would always let me...but it's always good to ask anyway.

  16. I just got an email offering 30 percent off of any purchase, either in store or online, for cardholders. Yay! :)

  17. Between this sale and the Anthro sale this morning, I think I've done pretty well. I do plan to stop by my local store this afternoon also :)

  20. Review of the Viv calf hair flats in Chocolate Leopard on my blog today if anyone is considering them with the promo. Click HERE for details.

I really like this style of flat with the pointed toe in calf hair and the pattern is quite nice. Definitely keepers for me.

  21. Has anyone tried on any of the Silk Boyshirts from Madewell? If so, could you comment on the sizing? I am usually a size 2 in J. Crew shirts (sometimes a 0) and am not sure if I should opt for the XS or the S in the Madewell shirts. Thank you!!

    1. Hi Caitlin - I think the boyshirts at Madewell fit generously (like they do at J.Crew). I am usually a size 0 (sometimes a 00) in J.Crew shirts, and wear an XSmall in the Madewell boyshirts.

      Delete
    2. Thanks FFM! So if I'm usually a 2, do you think the XS would be okay?

      Delete
    3. Hey Caitlin - I think it will depend on your shoulders and your bust size. If you have a larger bust and broad shoulders, then I would probably size up to the small. The best way to know for sure would be to ask the CSR on the Madewell chat feature for exact measurements of the shirt you're considering.

    4. Caitlin - I sized up on the Silk boyshirts at MD, I thought because it is silk M was a better fit for me (I'm usually small). HTH!

  22. I went to two different B&Ms today but bought nothing. I've already got everything I want from the fall collection.

  24. Everything is indeed 50% off at JC Factory - however - it doesnt appear that they hv rcvd any new merch - i was there last wk when they did 40% off & used my 30% off coupon and there was much more avl - today i didnt see any excursion vests (which i was hoping to score in red), no adl sweaters, etc... - still left w/ a few pieces & used my $25 off $125 coupon so all was not lost - I would suggest calling ahead or even doing a charge send to avoid being disappointed...

  25. Does anyone know if the double serge hacking jackets are on sale in store?

Any new markdowns in store? Thank you!

    1. You can always ask to have the price matched to the price and promo listed on the website. They usually do that.

  26. A couple of quick reviews: The Sperry Shearwater two-tone tall boots run small. I'm always an 8, I bought an 8, but with socks they are too small, mostly in the length. The Collection Mohair sweater is cut like a normal sweater, not short, sleeves are normal length (and maybe even long). I love the Heather Pond color. It is probably going to be itchy for a lot of people, but I love it and would probably just wear a tissue tee under it.

  27. I bit on this one- Gabby dot top, silk cami and a couple pairs of tights. With 30% and my rewards card, it was pretty cheap. But I am with everyone else- the new shopping cart takes some getting used to.

  28. I bit for the stretch jean jacket, the perfect shirt in open check in Thomas Mason fabric, the mona tassel heels in adobe, and the velvet tee in admiral. Not sure what I'll keep, but it's a relief not fussing over FS.

And congratulations on being mentioned in the NYT, Alexis!

  29. I ran in to make a return -picked up the faded chambray popover anx glad I was able to do this in store vs having to put an order together online for free ship. The Oakbrook IL store looked amazing and made me think the other North Ave store in Chicago I usually shop depresses me because its too small and sloppy looking. Anyway I enjoyed myself for the 10 min I was in Oakbrook. Oh, did manage to try on the Cacoon coat in the camel ish color and fell in love!!! Happy holidays everyone!

  33. So excited that the black bubble necklace is on sale plus the 30 percent off. If you haven't seen it in person it is different from the other bubbles. The stones are faceted and very pretty.
