Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the FALL sale, or to see some new FALL arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  1. Ladies, J.Crew is offering 30% off sale with free ship in +$175 and a flat-rate of $8.95 on anythhing below online AND in-stores. Not going to lie, I'm totally going in tomorrow to see if they've added anything new. Plus, I'm dragging in my SO for his student discount, mwaha!

    1. Oh, and you can see my picks here: See Alice Go. I'm hoping to have in-store reviews tomorrow so please stay tuned! (P.S. Not being allowed to take pictures in the privacy of your own fitting room?!? Psh, I'm going to go wild tomorrow with pictures. Granted, I only have JC B&M within a 60 mile radius but it's totally worth it!)

    2. I did end up going in tonight and have a few pictures of some new (?) in-store only items up on my blog:

      1. Grey sweater with black bows
      2. Black sleeveless dress with velvet-y polka dots

I also went to Gap and they have 30% off the entire store (if only J.Crew did something like this, I would be ALL OVER IT). And I actually like the selection there better. I'll get pictures of my picks at Gap shortly...

  2. Quick note that the fatigue jacket (item 96222) that originally listed for $298 is now on sale for $199 -- with the 30% promotion, it's only $140, and NOT final sale (yay!). I thought it was worth trying, as I love my JC short fatigue jackets, and thought there might be others who feel the same...

  3. I visited a crewlet in PA yesterday. The neat store appearance and the friendly staff encouraged me to browse for awhile. I saw many in store promos, like 40% off solid charley sweaters, 30% off cardigans, 50% off boot cut jeans, 40% off other denim, 30% off some blouses...
I combined the $25 off $125 coupon with the teacher discount on our purchases.
I noticed in store and online, the crewlet offers Short sizes! Snagged two pairs of jeans for $25 each.
Very pleased with the crewlet lately. I never feel intimidated or ignored at the crewlet like I have been at regular B&M s.

    1. I went to the opening of a factory store on Thursday and was really impressed with the merchandising and the helpfulness and friendliness if the staff. They had the same promotions and I had a $35 off $200 and a 30% off 200 as well. It was a great atmosphere and so much more relaxed than my regular BM

  4. Totally off topic, I wasn't sure where I could put this ...

I have brown Britten boots and they finally needed a polish. I've used Kiwi Scuff Cover on other shoes and boots and a couple of purses as well but felt uncomfortable using it on my expensive Brittens. I decided to give it a try on the zipper flap first. It looked good so I forged on and did the boots. They look fantastic! The color of the Brittens went from a ho-hum medium brown to a rich and wonderful dark brown using the brown Scuff Cover. They have a beautiful sheen too, especially after I applied some leather lotion after the Scuff Cover dried. I was so pleased I used the black Scuff Cover on my black boots and now they look fantastic too.

  5. While I didn't go to JC (currently teetotal on the Crewlade)I did go to Joe Fresh - where I found that they have produced mini bubble necklaces! Done in a faceted style, I saw black with either gold or pewter hardware, and a burgundy/pink combo. Very pretty, about half the size of the JC version. Oh and (wait for it) $14.00...

  6. 'Tis the season for online shopping. Fa la la la la....
I might venture in during the week and brave the smaller crowds at the mall to see the new arrivals in person but never on a weekend again until the holidays have passed.

  7. My husband and I were across the bay in Marin so we stopped into the J. Crew there. He was so pleased that they had a men's dept. since out local store only has women's and kids. He ended up getting a couple of shirts and pants. I love that the husband loves the Crew too. I also finally got to shop at Madewell. They were kind enough to track down a sweater for me that was available online but not in the store and ordered it over the phone so I could get the additional 30% off sale items. And my husband left with a Madewell bag so he either snuck in a birthday treat or a Christmas present for me when I was looking around. All in all it was a fun shopping day
