Cyber Monday Deals for J.Crew, Factory, & Madewell!

"Thanks!" to many of you, including GigiOfCa & Rose (in this post), Debby (in this post), as well as Irina, who let us know about the following promotion.

J.Crew is offering an additional 30% off SITEWIDE and free shipping (no min!) for J.Crew cardholders with promo code CARDSTYLE. This offer expires today, November 26, 2012.

J.Crew is once again offering an additional 25% off SITEWIDE and free shipping (no min!) with promo code MONDAY. This offer expires today, November 26, 2012. The fine print includes:
*Offer valid on purchases made online at jcrew.com on November 26, 2012 from 12:01am ET through 11:59pm ET. Offer not valid in retail stores, online at factory.jcrew.com, or on phone orders. Offer cannot be applied to previous purchases or the purchase of gift cards and cannot be redeemed for cash or combined with any other promotion. To redeem, enter the code MONDAY in the Promo Box when checking out at jcrew.com. Discount not valid on purchases of the following: baby's third-party branded merchandise; men's Barbour®, nanamica®, Corgi™, Mougin & Piquard™, Alden®, Crockett & Jones®, Chimala® and Wallace & Barnes merchandise; women's Authier®, Harley of Scotland, Goldsign®, Lulu Frost or Drake's® merchandise; crewcuts Barbour®, The Cambridge Satchel Company® or Thomas Mason® merchandise. Orders will be shipped via regular ground shipping (3 to 6 business days). Terms of offer are subject to change.

It is always nice to see this promotion get extended with free shipping. (I guess this is J.Crew's offer for Cyber Monday.) Although I am surprised this percent off is not extended to B&M stores. Oh well!

J.Crew Factory is offering an additional 50% off many (but not all) items. They are also offering free shipping (no min!) with promo code YOURGIFT. It also expires November 26, 2012.

Lastly, Madewell is offering an additional 25% off SITEWIDE (no min!) and free shipping (no min!) with promo code TREAT. This promotion expires November 26, 2012.

Will you be taking advantage of this promotion? Any items you are interested in? If so, please share!

  1. I did take advantage of the free shipping at the Factory store to order a few of the men's tees for my oldest son, as well as one of the little boys' Santa storybook tees for my youngest son.

As for J.Crew retail, does anyone know the in-store price of the Excursion quilted vest in herringbone? Is it still full price or has it gone on sale yet?

Also, for those interested, there have been a lot of new promo-priced items added over the past week, including several new ones today. I've updated the list here.

    1. I was in the store last weds and they were still full price, but I bit at 30% off because I wasn't sure it'd ever make it to sale in my size.

    2. Also still FP at both the Birmingham, AL and St. Louis Frontenac stores.

I say snap it up, if you can!

  2. Factory is actually "prices as marked", not an additional 50% off. But the free shipping is nice...

  8. I may try a couple of the factory suiting dresses that I haven't seen in store. And some socks! My dog keeps eating my socks, need to stock up! Sigh.

OT but Rent the Runway has 50% off everything today and you get a free Lancome Juicy Tube with each rental. The code is CYBER50.

  9. Anyone else having difficulty with the Factory site? I'd like to get a gift for someone but I can't add anything to my cart...

  10. Of course after placing two orders in two days, the Bow Coat goes on promo sale today!! I placed an order now so I don't run out of my size 2 in Heather Acorn. Now I'm receiving 3 coats from this % off promos. Oh my goodness..make it stop. Hahaha...

  11. Disco George, the Factory site is really slow but it worked for me, taking over a minute to add certain items...

Also, for those of you with additional percentage off coupons from prior Factory purchases, those can be stacked with the 50% off. I used an additional 20% off coupon, which resulted in a net 60% off.

  12. I am not getting the cardholder emails for some reason, would not know about the extra discount if it were not for this site. Thanks to all the JCAs...

    1. also seems odd that they don't just post it on the website...would be incentive to get more people to sign up for the card.

    2. I never got that e-mail either, but I got 2 paper catalogs instead. Go figure.

    3. Rose and Cass - try logging onto your J.Crew credit card account (the site where you go to pay your bill) and checking to see if you've selected to receive emails there. I think it's a separate email list than the general J.Crew list. I had a co-worker who was receiving general emails but not cardholder promos, so we logged onto her credit card account and saw she had opted out of cardholder emails there. Since then, she has received the cardholder emails.

  13. Has anyone tried the collection graphic print pants? I am strangely drawn to them but cannot find any reviews. Which could be a red flag in itself...

  14. I bit on the madewell promo earlier and should be getting the perfect belt in brown and over-the-knee cable socks tomorrow. I avoided jc because I wasn't going to buy 150+, but today I picked up the laundress fabric spray, thermal stripe henley, and ls perfect crewneck. My closet might be happy, but the sales have been killing my wallet lol. Also, I snagged archive boots 25% off plus my student discount last week at the Oakbrook mall location.

  15. J.CrewJD - you just helped me decide on my OOTD, I will review the collection graphic print pants overnight. Bottom line: I like them a lot. The fabric is nice, mostly wool with a little silk, longer legs than other similar trousers, but maybe these are not supposed to be capri, and longer in the rise.

    1. tiffany rose, I should've known you'd have these pants :) Thanks so much for the review. I can't resist silk/wool, for some reason. I may have to get them!

    3. I got these in the last promo. Color is totally different than it looks online. I hesitated because I thought it was too similar to the Bennett chino in snowcat but it is totally different. The spots are dark navy (almost black ) but there is mint green in the print too that doesn't show up at all in the photo! Fit is higher in the waist and there is a little pleating. Longer than the cafe Capri and lined. Fabric is a really nice weight wool/silk blend. Don't size up. If anything size down. I took my usual 4 cafe Capri size and almost (but not quite) could have gone down a size. These are so worth it IMO. HTH anyone on the fence. Sorry to be an enabler.

  16. Did some damage at Madewell - ordered the Zipcode boots in black and a scarf for a gift. The boots won't ship until January...but that's happened before, and whatever it was that I ordered shipped much sooner...

  17. Can anyone comment on the factory Jackie cardigan in comparison to retail? I saw on the factory site that there was a "fiesta purple" (a retail color from 3 seasons ago, I think) and I am wondering if it is the same color. Is the fabric content/sizing the same (or as consistent as J Crew ever gets)? Do they hold up in the wash like the retail version does? I've never ordered from factory so your expertise is highly appreciated!

    1. I haven't tried the factory Jackie, but I have tried other items from the factory store. Some people seem to have really great experiences with factory, but I have not. I have two factory ls v-neck perfect shirts that are listed as 100% cotton (just like the retail version), but are much thinner and stretch out noticeably after only an hour or so of wear. After my experience with simple perfect shirts, I don't really trust factory merchandise. The shirts were purchased in the fall of 2011, so things may have changed.

    2. The factory jackies are 100% cotton, while the retail are a blend of cotton, nylon, and spandex. I prefer the regular retail ones, because they seem to hold their shape better. The buttons are also slightly different. Otherwise, they are the same.

    3. Steph - JCrewJD is right about the fabric on the factory vs retail Jackies. 100% cotton on the factory. The content has changed from time to time on retail. One I have from SP12 is 66% cotton, 29% nylon, 5% spandex.

I try to stick to retail, but the factory ones aren't half bad. I go up one size in factory and that helps with fit. They are thinner than retail, so I usually only fall for the factory if they're a special color like the extravagant green. Pic of the brilliant or cobalt blue factory Jackie in this post.

    4. gigi-That is interesting that the fabric content is different on the Jackies. I can't believe that my factory and retail shirts list the same fabric content. All of my retail perfect shirts still look fitted and put together after a day of wear, while my factory ones look sloppy and cheap (granted, they were actually cheap).

    5. I threw out two retail Jackies this fall. The high nylon content and the over-stretchiness made me feel like I was wearing one of Grandpa's old "ban-Lon" shirts.

    6. Steph, I have both factory & retail button downs and I decided to not even bother wearing the factory one. There are some things that are great at the J'Crewlet that are better or almost better than retail and some things that are worse.

    7. I was trying on one of the Crewlet button downs I just bought on Friday ($15) and my thumb got caught in the sleeve and tore the fabric (nails are short). The fabric is so thin, but for 15, I thought it would be okay for layering. Hoping I can at least it exchange it, if not return it.

  18. I've got a rather large amount I want to order on the Factory site, so I'm wondering if anyone has any discount codes that they aren't using so I can try to stack on top of the current discount? It would be much appreciated!! you can email me at latinafeminista at gmail dot com

  19. I ordered some basics that never seem to go sale - a boatneck tee in grey, and a black jackie cardigan.

And then, after being so sensible, also ordered some jewelry! The curved link bracelet and the stackable ring in gold.

  20. Wait... what happened to the bootcut cords for Petites? Are they sold out or are they no longer offered? The short 31" inseam is still way too long for me.
