Congrats to all those in the area!!! :)
I wish. That is Thanksgiving weekend and it's my family's turn to host the festivities for the extended family this year. I'll be recovering from the cooking and cleaning and decorating and games. Good luck to those who do go though.
ReplyDeleteOh by the way Alexis, I love the photos that you used as the header. I'm still so sad that I never got that snakeskin clutch.
DeleteThat clutch really is gorgeous! :)
DeleteI went last year. Don't bother, unless you just show up the second day or something, or can somehow get in early (they sometimes do friends and family passes, or at least they used to). At 2pm on the first day, there was STILL a huge line to get in. These sales used to be fun, but I will not wait in line all day to sift through samples and whatnot that have been stuffed in cardboard boxes. It is not worth it, especially with the declining quality. The odds of finding a gem go down each year! It used to be you could show up an hour before the sale and be first in line... now you'd have to get there in the middle of the night. So not worth it.
ReplyDeleteAny JC clearance stores in New England?
ReplyDeleteI went to one of these a few months ago and despite some people saying it wasn't likely I would find anything good, I left with a ton of great things. Might try to swing up that weekend. Yes there is a long line but that's what happens when there are great bargains to be had, a line doesn't deter me, I remember waiting for hours and hours in high school for concert tickets, same concept to me really.
ReplyDeleteWas there today and it was worth our short wait in line. Prices are incredible, so much to look at and you must be willing to dig and sort. Tame group of people. Much less crowded than their summer sale :). Can't beat it, no complaints here my friends !!
ReplyDeleteI love their warehouse sales. The last one I went to I got a cute leather jacket reg price $1200 for $40 bucks. I always get tons of great clothes. You do have to get there at least two hours early to get in first. You want to be first if you want to score any jewelry or leather. As for the boxes, I love digging through them. People are super nice and will help you find your sizes. It is worth it. I usually save 90% when I compare what I pay to the regular prices. I have recently moved to PA, but I will be driving down to shop the sale! BAM!
