J.Crew Stores: Take An Additional 30% Off Final Sale

"Thanks!" to Cass (in the "J.Crew Private Sale Gets Extended {yey!}" post) who let us know that her local store is back to carrying "an additional 30% off final sale". So chances are your local store is as well.

Is your local store carrying 30% off final sale as well? If so, please let us know which stores (and "thanks!" in advance). :)

  1. Fyi, I saw the 30% off in the 45th & Madison and Rockefeller Center stores. Unfortunately, none of the new catalogs put out in either store. :(

  2. My store-- Dallas Northpark-- has 30%; the sales associate said that it began today, but they're not sure when it'll end.

From the blog, I found the name of the stores-only patent leather tote that I liked a lot over the summer (Candace). Because I'm overseas, I had to order it over the phone and couldn't do my student discount (but wasn't sure if I could have stacked it, anyway.) It was $150 but is now at $109.99, plus 30%. I got it in the navy/blue and can't wait to see it.

I don't think that this was a really popular item on this board; however, the sketchbook belle rose skirt is not available online anymore but it's available in that particular store. It's still $140, though.

  3. Sadly, there's little available in the final sale for menswear. I did however pick up a light jacket yesterday. Was only and extra 20% off though.

  4. Orlando also has extra 30% off Final Sale....thanks for the heads up to even call and check, Cass!

Audrey: Congratulations on your bag! :)

  5. I just got back from the Seaport, they have an additional 30% off there as well. Pretty decent selection.... boot cut cords, tartine cardigans (solid colors), tons of tees, dream tafftea sash cardigans, Lydia blouses, Herringbone Fiona jackets, vintage cord skirts, headbands, lots of jewelry.

    ReplyDelete
  6. BTW, the CS at the Seaport said new items should post on the website Friday! :-)

  7. Alexis, I have an idea for a post during these ROUGH economic times. (And I am one that loves JCrew, but have been guilty of been very down on the economy). What about a post "What ONE JCrew item can transform and update your wardrobe?" Bang for the buck/good investment piece/style updater... What one thing can we, aficionadas, buy that says chic and modern (without breaking the bank and buying an entire new wardrobe each season)?? I am tight and I appreciate other's views on that 'one thing' that can really make their JCrew ensembles new and fresh. What do you think? Should we wait until the winter rollout?

    JenG.

  8. JenG, I think that is an awesome idea - I'd love to see what the Aficionadas say! :)

    ReplyDelete
  9. JenG: Great suggestion- I will definitely use it. :)

    ReplyDelete
  10. Well, as soon as they add more items to the final sale (for men) I'll be more than willing to make use of this additional percentage off!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Hey friends, thanks for the good news about the extra 30% off, I'm a newbie to the ins and outs of ordering in stores. Just to review the red phone ordering rule: there is a little cardigan I want that's not in my store but is online. If I go to my local B&M, I can pick up the phone, connect to J Crew online/catalog, give them the item number, and get 30% off the online price? Then is shipping waived also? Thanks in advance for any help!

  12. Hi All - I know several people have mentioned the new satin bow T-shirts. Well, I just got one today paired with the adorable steel colored merino cardigan with the special buttons. It is such a cool combo. Retro without being precious. I love the buttons, because sometimes I think my Jackie buttons look a little too casual when I am going for a slightly dressier look. Really hoping for sale on both these items so I could get another color combo later. I can not wait to see the new catalog!

    ReplyDelete
  13. cheri, if the cardigan is on final sale on the website you can ask them to apply the additional 30% off the stores are having. However, they no longer waive the shipping on sale items from the red phone.

    ReplyDelete
  14. Are the bootcut cords on sale BEFORE the additional 30% in anyone's stores?

    ReplyDelete
  15. Alexis,

How about a "what is your oldest J Crew item that you still wear" post? I know I still have some very old pieces that have held up and I am sure we would have some interesting answers.

I'm also wondering what others are going to ask Santa for....

    ReplyDelete
  16. I wish this was online too with no set amount to spend:( I am glad some of you get to use it---hope you get some deals like I used to when I lived near a store:)

    ReplyDelete
  17. I called the Michigan Ave store in Chicago, and it's also offering an extra 30% off final sale items! I'm going to stop by tomorrow, so I'll have a report on what they have in stock.

    ReplyDelete
  18. AppGal - yes, the bootcut cords were on sale (sorry, I didn't look to see the sale price), plus an additional 30% off at the Seaport.

    ReplyDelete
  19. appgal:

I called the Rockaway store (which seems to have good sales, from what I have read lately). They have the orange and a green color (don't know the exact names) for 59.95 before the 30% off.

  20. OT: I'm hoping that someone here will be able to help me understand.

Occasionally, while surfing ebay, I'll come across J Crew items where the seller has stated that the tag has been "marked" to prevent store returns.

The items I've purchased from J Crew directly have never been marked. Why would J Crew mark up the tags on these items? Is there something wrong with them? I know that sometimes designer outlets cut the tags on certain items to mark that they are seconds. Does anyone know if J Crew does this?

So, if an item's tag has been marked or cut by J Crew in order to prevent retail returns, does that mean that there's something wrong with them?

Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks in advance.

  21. Tysons Corner is also offering 30% off sale items. Nothing really new since last weekend though.

But, they did give me the brand spanking new November catalogue. (For once, I won't be the very last to receive the catalogue.) And my, is it lovely!! I literally folded over every 3rd page while I stood and leafed through it in the store. I simply can't wait for the winter stuff to arrive. I don't even think the stuff from the catalogue is online yet.

Tysons said they're getting the winter arrivals on Thursday. Be sure to pay them a visit if you live in the area!

    ReplyDelete
  22. 3PP: Is it at all possible for you to scan the November catalog and email it to Alexis so we can all get a sneak peek? :)

    ReplyDelete
  23. 3-penny princess: I also visited the Tysons store today and picked up the new catalog. I can't wait to see all the new items in the store - especially the dark poppy peacoat! The sale section had a lot of great deals, and the cashmere tees are still on private sale at $99, including new winter colors.

I wonder if we were in the store at the same time... :)

    ReplyDelete
  24. marietta or anyone know-
all bootcuts or just certain colors?? I was just at my store yesterday and they weren't even on promo or anything let alone sale (with add'l % off:) They were $79.50 (I know promo has been $69.50) at times.
I did however see matchsticks on FS in green and orange-just unusual colors. Also, Lydias--do you know what colors? My store doesn't have any of theirs on sale and I noticed someone else mentioned they got pink on sale (I assume they mean purple or maybe they were accidentally mentioning a different shirt all together? I don't recall pink. I am seeking xsmall and was told they are trying to re-cut the lydia in xsmall. Seems strange though as now 3 colors are on sale--why re-cut now?? It's always interesting--that's one thing with J Crew they keep you guessing:)

Ugh--i am ashamed that I was kinda sucked into the other negative posting..sorry to be offensive. Sometimes it happens almost on accident when someone keeps egging you on with commentary that stems from such a deeper, insecure place that reeks of jealous, envy etc.
I should just shut up and truly feel sorry for them.
    I know better than that:(

    ReplyDelete
  25. Ahh... damn you j.crew and your constantly oscillating percent off promotions! =P You make me slam my head in frustration sometimes - it's a love-hate relationship

    ReplyDelete
  26. I was in the Orland Park, Ill. J Crew exactly one week ago. Was anyone else in a BM store around that same time? I'm wondering if more items were added to the sale section. At the Orland Park store last Tuesday, for example, the boot cut cords weren't on sale. Now I see that they are on sale, at least at other stores. I bought last Tuesday a felted wool mini skirt for full price. Did anyone notice if that is on sale in a BM store? And I know I ask about this all the time, but if you have seen the catalog, did you notice if any coats other than the Plaza, the Lady Day and the Pea coat featured the Thinsulate option? I feel kind of goofy going on and on about Thinsulate, but I love it!

    ReplyDelete
  27. LOL KatherineD--I feel the same way. All you can do is laugh:)

    ReplyDelete
  28. crew in canada-
Not seconds but for some reason they don't want you to be able to return. At least I have found this with shoes (black mark on the insole) that are actually in the store right now. Maybe because you didn't buy them at retail and that's the "sole" reason:) they don't want you trying to return there. But I often wonder myself where the mass sellers get their stuff--often at huge quantities and it is in store right now. I would love to know that mystery!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Hi, I have a question...is there a November catalog and then later a Dec. catalog? or is it a Nov. catalgo and then a Holiday one??? Just curious, Any JCrew employees know?

    THank you.

    ReplyDelete
  30. crew_girl_in_canada: I used to live near the distribution center in Lynchburg, VA. They had a clearance store attached to the shipping center where they sold any item that was returned to the shipping center (this is what the employees told me). All items sold at the clearance store were marked with a black mark to indicate that they could not be returned to a B&M store. The items are not damaged; they were simply returned. I used to buy lots of items from there and really miss the bargains (shoes were $50!). I hope this helps.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Everyone: Thanks for sharing the additional % off discount amount at your local stores. Much appreciated. :)

Crew_Girl_In_Canada: I think I know the "marking" you described... There has only been two instances (in all my years at the Crew) where I have seen an obscure rack of clothing at a J.Crew store with items drastically (and I do mean drastically) reduced in price.

(For example, on the rack was a cashmere cardigan for $19.99, that is still being sold on J.Crew's website for $99.99). I don't know why those items were massively reduced either since they were still popular items.

I think the "marking" is to prevent the items (reduced in price) from being returned to another store (where a customer could easily pocket the difference as profit). I hope this helps. :)

  33. Alexis and FFM - I would be happy to scan the new November catalogue and send it your way!

alicia - how funny that you were in Tysons today too. It's actually my secondary store. I usually frequent Pentagon City, but a few times a month I visit Tysons, often when I have company meetings. I was there between about 12:20 and 1:00 today. Maybe we did run into each other.

    ReplyDelete
  34. 3-Penny Princess: I would love to post any images you send of the new catalog- anything would be greatly appreciated. My email is jcrewaficionada@yahoo.com. Thanks!!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  35. Covert5 - to answer your question about the "marked" items that are sometimes sold on Ebay. I happen to live very close to Lynchburg, VA - where the catalog distribution center is. They have a factory store there and often times they put out things that are still in the catalog for 50-75% off. For example, a lot of the current cashmere sweaters are sold for $50 apiece. I purchased a few Bella herringbone jackets last year, while they were still in the catalog, for $75. They have the most amazing deals, however, all of the tags are marked through. Doesn't really matter to me when I'm getting a deal!

    ReplyDelete
  36. 3-penny princess: Ha! I was there at the same time :) I love the Tysons store, but I have also been visiting the Reston store lately. They have a very friendly staff and they are always willing to go the extra mile.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Off topic...but does anyone own the Kayla blouse? It's FS now, and they have talls...looks like a great casual and work appropriate shirt...can anyone confirm or comment on the fit? (Before I buy four of them!)

Also, thoughts on the floral twisted placket shirt in green? Is it ugly?

    ReplyDelete
  38. It seems like if a coat at J.Crew comes in a "basic" color, it is usually black, white or camel. Are these the usuals? I usually dislike the color black in clothes, as I think it is too severe. My favorite basic coat color to have would be charcoal gray, but it seems like only the Plaza coat has this color. Does anyone recall if this been the case for other years? Thanks!

Also, has anyone tried on the French serge coat? On the model, it looks lovely but I notice in the picture of it on the mannequin it almost takes on the look of a lumpy potato. Is this the case on?

    ReplyDelete
  39. alexis - I'm scanning now and will send it to you in parts. How many MB can your mailbox hold? Each page comes to 700-800 MB. I'm only leaving out the pages that are repeats (and probably the men's/crewcuts section for now).

alicia - I just told my husband that you were at the Tysons store at the same time as I was. He joked that we should wear little pins that identify us as Aficionadas. Maybe he's onto something... he was kidding of course but I actually considered the idea for a split second. We could be like the red hat ladies, only way more chic - we'd be dressed in J.Crew of course.

    ReplyDelete
  40. 3-penny princess: I'm so happy to have found a place where I can share my obsession with others. I don't have many shopping friends who like J. Crew, so maybe an Aficionada shopping group would be a good idea :) We would be a very stylish group!

    ReplyDelete
  41. alexis - Will you try and get the catalog scans up for everyone to see this evening? I'm so anxious for the new arrivals and, unfortunately, live no where near a J Crew store.

    ReplyDelete
  42. 3-Penny Princess: My account is a regular Yahoo account and its been pretty good about accepting high-quality attachments. If you don't mind, maybe you could compress the files before sending them.

Compressing files is super easy. Just select the files from the file folder, then right click, then select "Send To", then select "Compressed (zipped) Folder".

    Thanks again!

Also about the pin to identify the Aficionadas- I love it! Whenever I am at a J.Crew store, I have often wondered if I would be running into another Aficionada at the same time. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  43. alicia and 3-penny princess: count me in the club, too! :)

alicia: how is the selection at the Reston store compared to Tysons? I've been told Tysons carries the largest selection.

    ReplyDelete
  44. cleo26: The Reston store has a lot of new items and not much of a sale selection - for now. I think since they are new, they started fresh witohut any sale items. Tysons probably has the biggest selection, but I have found that the staff at the Reston store are the most helpful. They are more than willing to stack codes and help you get the best deal possible. Also, they keep me up to date about when new items will arrive. They seem to have lots of sizes in the items that they carry; the pile of cords had to be 2 feet deep :) I hope this helps :)

We should start a NOVA/DC J.Crew group to help each other out!

    ReplyDelete
  45. A Big Thank You to Covert5, Alicia, Alexis and Anon at 5:06pm for the info about the Marked J Crew Tags. That makes so much sense! For the life of me, I couldn't figure out where the items were coming from. Furthermore, I was hesitant to buy these items for fear that there was something wrong with them.

Thank you for sharing the information with me. I've decided that I'm going to sell my house and move to Lynchburg, VA so that I could score some amazing deals. I'm kidding of course, but I can only dream. Wouldn't that be amazing though?

    ReplyDelete
  46. Alexis: Thanks for creating such a great place to meet other J.Crew fans. I have so much fun here :)

    ReplyDelete
  47. Alicia: what about the jewelry bug that i'm sure will go on sale soon? The bug can be our calling cards, so to speak. :)

It's funny that whenever i travel in the States, one of the first stores i go to is J. Crew. :) I'll have to check the Reston store out.

    ReplyDelete
  48. The little pin idea is great! Although I wonder if I would end up spending a lot more if I were with someone who shared the same enthusiasm for JCrew as I do!

    ReplyDelete
  49. cleo26: I think that the bug pin will definitely set us apart. We'll see if it goes on sale enough to buy!

    ReplyDelete
  50. ON PINS AND NEEDLES FOR NEW CATALOG! Alexis and 3PP I can hardly wait to see the new catalog! I am at work still and keep checking...Go team Aficionada!

    ReplyDelete
  51. alexis - will definitely try to compress it then. Just a heads up - I have an older scanner and it doesn't get the most fantastic resolution. It won't be like flipping through the catalogue. It will basically give you a snapshot of the page with a little grain, but you can zoom in for more detail and get a better idea.

alicia and cleo26 - we should start a group outing and do some live shopping. Maybe when the winter stuff hits. Amy is also local and Slastena comes down to Tysons sometimes. There seem to be quite a few of us here.

    ReplyDelete
  52. 3-Penny-Princess: you are awesome for scanning!!! Fashionata said it best, "Go team Aficionada!" :)

    ReplyDelete
  53. Too funny about the bug pins as our calling cards! I just about fell out of my chair when I pictures it! As heinous as those things are (in my humble opinion), wouldn't it be hilarious if all of a sudden we all walked into Tysons with the bug pins? They would definitely get a laugh out of it.

    ReplyDelete
  54. Three penny princess and Alexa, you guys are my heroes for putting up the calendar!!

    ReplyDelete
  55. 3PP: Definitely! I'm always up for shopping with my fellow JC fans! Let me know...

    ReplyDelete
  56. The pin idea is hilarious - if those bugs go down to $1 it would be great... I would clip it on my bag, though. Don't want to have "bug boob"!

    ReplyDelete
  57. silver_lining - you're so right! This is way too humorous. My husband wanted to know what we thought of his idea. I told him he started a bug frenzy. He's now an honorary aficionado.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I would love an outing. And with the bugs, it would be a blast! Good or bad, they are undeniably remarkable. :)

3-penny, i have a scanner if you need any help.

    ReplyDelete
  59. ss: Thanks for info on the puffer vest, I almost bought one on-line but could not justify the $118. price tag. Just was not worth it!

    ReplyDelete
  60. Thank you 3-Penny Princess!!!

    ReplyDelete
  61. Aaahhh! I'm so excited about getting to peek at the Catalog! 3PP and Alexis I hope you ladies can get it all figured out this evening! I was hoping to "plan my attack" before visiting the b&m! :)

btw, JenG, LOVE the post idea!

    ReplyDelete
  62. i can't believe how many of us live in the NOVA area (i RARELY post, but I read this a million times a day)! count me in on the bug wearing pin group!!! it was funny, when i was at pentagon city yesterday i was looking around at everyone wishing there was a secret aficionada handshake.....

    ReplyDelete
  63. Has anyone else seen the Candance handbag on sale? The Boca store quoted me $150.00, not $109.99. Is the Candace tote the one with two pockets on front and comes in gold, black, green, yellow and blue?

    ReplyDelete
  64. I am so glad I got the cashmere argyle sweater in navy-it's totally sold out in all sizes. Cross my fingers that it fits!

    ReplyDelete
  65. Thanks to everyone for this post and the great and informative comments!

    ReplyDelete
  66. has anyone seen the polka-dot scarves on sale in the stores?(not available online)

    ReplyDelete
  67. Sorry this is taking so long - I'm still scanning and I'm on page 82. I'm essentially scanning every page because almost everything is either new or comes in new colors. Everyone be patient!

    ReplyDelete
  68. 3PP: you are awesome for taking the time to do this. I know that everyone here really appreciates it!!! I wish the post office would put a little camera in my mailbox, so that everyone could see my face the last few days when I realize there is no JC catalog in there. Pure sadness! LOL!!!

  70. I just purchased cloths with my student discount at the j. crew's store but can the 20% final sale discount be added onto my student discount savings?

    ReplyDelete
  71. 3-Penny princess- thank you so much for taking the time to scan the catalog! Cant wait to see it.

Any ideas when the new items will be on the website?

    ReplyDelete
  72. Thanks to 3Penny Princess and Alexis for their work on the catalog!

Yay I am excited--I can only hope a catalog will be in my mailbox tonight!

    ReplyDelete
  73. Anonymous re: the KAYLA blouse. I have 2 of them and love them. I am sorry I missed out on the rhubarb. It is a little thin, so if it's light you may want a cami underneath. It is a good blouse underneath jackets since the collar is something different besides a pointed one. I think it's work appropriate for offices.

I really liked the floral twisted placket shirt in the purple color and preferred that to the green but that's just because the other is more my color. The pattern is not garish on and the fit was great. If you can wear the green colors, go for it.

3-pennyprincess - I love the Aficionada pin idea. Something really small but obvious so we can exchange knowing winks and glances. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  74. Tracey - I read in one of these postings that new items will be on the website Thursday, the same day they appear in stores. My fingers are crossed!

    ReplyDelete
  75. Okay, it's finished! I'm compressing it and sending it to Alexis now.

    ReplyDelete
  76. 3PP: I want to echo the Thanks for taking the time to scan the catalog! I know it can be very time consuming but know that your (and Alexis') efforts are GREATLY appreciated! :)

    ReplyDelete
  77. HUGE thanks! :) I have been refreshing this page every two minutes :) THANK YOu!!

    ReplyDelete
  78. 3 Penny Princess: Thank you so much for your scanning efforts- you are a superstar! I can't wait to receive those images to post. :)

Everyone: I will need just 15-20 minutes after receiving the email to create a slide show and then the catalog will be ready for viewing!!! :)

  79. I thought the new items were in store today?????

    ReplyDelete
  80. Woo hoooooo! New catalog eye candy here we go!

    ReplyDelete
  81. alexis, I keep trying to send this to you even broken up in parts. I just tried to send you part 1 of 4 zipped up, which is still 12 MB. It keeps bouncing back to me saying that your mailbox is full. Do you think 12 MB at a time is too much?

    ReplyDelete
  82. Anon@7:05 PM

I think that is the one; it's a patent leather square-ish tote with two pockets on outside. Apparently it also came in an aqua color because the SA asked me (over the phone) if I wanted "blue blue" or "blue green". (Or he could just be colorblind... I don't remember an aqua color in the store at all!) The style number is 98552.

I know that someone had mentioned that it was on sale in Madison (?)... My store is Northpark Center in Dallas, just called them today and they had the gold and the "aqua" or $109.99 + sale.

    ReplyDelete
  83. 3 Penny Princess: Yahoo mail allows email attachments up to 10 MB in size. Thank you so much for sending me the scans again!!! :)

  84. Hi aficianadas!

So I have a late october wedding wedding that I am in need of a dress for. I am leaning towards the Silk Tricotine Cecelia dress in bright rhubarb. Does anybody have any suggestions that I might add to my list? Thanks!

    ReplyDelete
  85. ceecee - I called the Michigan Ave, Chicago store earlier today, and they said the new items are arriving tomorrow and will be out on the floor Thursday.

    ReplyDelete
  86. alexis, I've sent you parts 1-3 of 8. Have you gotten any of them yet?

    ReplyDelete
  87. 3 Penny Princess: I haven't received the parts yet. But that might be because Yahoo is scanning the email or something. :)

    ReplyDelete
  88. 3 Penny Princess: Could you email me with no attachment just to see if that email goes through? Thanks a bunch again!!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  89. Just came from my bm. Catalog was on the counter. A few things were on the floor but sa told me they were getting many boxes tomorrow morn at 5 am and best bet was to come back Thursday. Scored a couple of good buys - final sale was additional 30 as widely stated on this blog and if I had bought full price totaling 175 or more they would have let me still use the coupon.

    ReplyDelete
  90. Outdoorsgal: FFM did a polyvore set for a wedding that I thought was really pretty:

What kind of wedding is it? Night or day? formal/informal?

    ReplyDelete
  91. alexis - I sent you a test email about 5 minutes ago from hotmail. I was using my Outlook email to send you the attachments. Let me know if either message came through.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Great, I'll have to take a look at that as she always puts great looks together. It is a late afternoon/early evening wedding that I would say falls somewhere between being formal and informal (not black tie, yet not informal either). I would say that most cocktail length dresses in the J.Crew collection would work for it. I would love to hear what people are liking right now in the dress collection.

    ReplyDelete
  93. 3 Penny Princess: I haven't gotten the test email either. :( I wonder what is up with my email account.

    ReplyDelete
  94. Was someone stabbed today? I was scanning through the previous post but there were so many entries, it was difficult to follow.

    ReplyDelete
  95. 3 Penny Princess: Good news! I got the first two emails!!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  96. alexis - my husband is monitoring our network and he said that parts 1 + 2 of 8 have gone through. (Lucky to live with an IT Manager/Network Engineer). He said they're going through, just slowly. I sent 1-4 so far. I will hold off on 5-8 so I don't clog up your mailbox. Let me know on this post (or respond to my emails if you get them) if you start to receive anything.

    ReplyDelete
  97. alexis - just saw your previous comment. Awesome! Hopefully everything will come through slowly but surely. The front and back covers will come at the end in part 8.

    ReplyDelete
  98. Anonymous @ 7:05p - Walnut Creek, CA has the Candance bag on sale for $109.99. I wonder if it is now an additional 30% off. I saw gold, green, yellow & blue. Black may be sold out. I also saw the bag in SF. You could at least see if Boca will do a price match so you don't have to pay shipping from another store.

Audrey - I never saw the Candance in aqua. Only bright patent blue like the dark blue Kelly shirt or bright kelly green. Maybe some stores got a different color or SA is color blind ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  99. ANON 8:16pm I am so sorry to make light of a bad situation but that question is LOL!

  100. I'm pumped about seeing the new catalog, but realizing I'll want some new items, and I haven't worn everything I got from the last catalog.

    I think I need a support group.

  101. (New handle for me- usually do an anon post)

The Towson, MD store had a couple of the Candance bags for 109.99 plus 30% off. I scored a green one the other day on FS with 20 + 20% off. Anon @ 7:05- these are the patent bags with the two outside pockets.

Tonight, I had to return a watercolor belle skirt due to sizing. They had some new arrivals on the floor, so I picked up the black sparkle tweed pencil skirt (they run a size larger, IMO) and a cute tissue t- it's navy and with a v neck that's decorated with sequins along the V. SO cute! The staff at Towson are usually pretty nice.

  102. Alexis, I sent you an email as well but can stop if you have received everything already.

3-Penny, did you send the men's section as well?

  103. convert5: Let it go, ignore them, they might go away.

  104. I went to my B&M today and there was 30% off sale and some of the new items were out. The bow tees, the tanks with the flowers, and a cute split neck tshirt with sequin detail on one side of the split. I tried it on and the split flops to the side and you can't see the sequins. Bummer. They also had a very cute pink skirt- taffeta or silk- that would be great for holiday parties! Can't wait for the catalog. Thanks 3PP, and Alexis!

  105. Hi ladies, I saw what I would consider an aqua Candace bag at the JC in South Coast Plaza mall over the weekend. It might be what some are calling green, but it was certainly more turquoise than green to me. They also had the dark blue and a yellow, but no black, and I bought the last gold one (I love it!). It was on sale for $109.99.

  106. jcrew guy: we can be your support group :) I think we all are the same way! There is just something so exciting about a new rollout!!

3PP and Alexis...we SO appreciate the work you are doing to get the catalog up. This is something you don't HAVE to do, but you all are so thoughtful for doing so!

  107. Jcrew guy in Canada: Yes indeed you will want to buy new items and I support you in that!

  108. crewbie- How funny that you and I posted about the same item at nearly the same time! I didn't have the same experience with that shirt, however.

I should clarify my earlier post- the sparkle tweed skirt is not the green one- it's a new item- black with silver sparkle threads.

  109. OMG -I'm refreshing at lightening speed. I wish we could just see the catalog through osmosis! :-)

  110. jbird: maybe I should have sized down in that shirt? Did the collar stay open for you? WHat color did you get? I tried on the navy, but I like them all!

  111. cleo26 and jcrew guy in canada - sorry, I haven't had a chance to scan in the men's (or crewcuts) section yet. I just made dinner and it's almost 9:00 pm, so I won't be able to do it tonight. I can work on it tomorrow afternoon again. Sorry to keep you waiting!

cleo - did you say you have the new catalogue and can scan it? If anyone has it and wants to start on the men's/crewcuts, that would be great.

    ReplyDelete
  112. Yes, I will send the crewcuts and men's sections to Alexis now.:)

  113. 3PP and Cleo26...awesome! Together with Alexis, great teamwork. Go team Aficionada go!

  114. crewbie- I definitely sized down in the sequin v neck shirt; I usually buy a large, but I purchased a medium this time. I found that it was definitely cut bigger than their usual t's.

I bought the navy- the collar seemed to stay open ok. I hope it will when I wear it! Otherwise, bummer! I agree that all the colors were cute!

  117. I forgot were the Tartine cardigans on final sale in stores? Anyone remember what colors? And is it a really boxy fit?
FYI - I was in the Providence Place store and they have some of the new merch out. The flower camis, and a lovely silk skirt with one center kick pleat (in pink, sand, and a taupe color)!
    Thanks

  118. 3 penny princess, no worries about the men's section. I'll get my in the mail in the next day or so. It's not like I'm lacking anything to wear.

  119. 3-penny is right- I am local too and would love to meet up!

Went to the Chevy Chase/Friendship Heights store today after work. I usually got to Pentagon City, but went to Tyson's on Saturday and wanted to change it up today. I bought the abstract rose print skirt (GORGEOUS) and one of the new turn back cardigans in a heather mushroom like color. I am extremely pleased with both!

BTW, this time I was able to combine the extra 30% off final sale (for the skirt) with my student discount.

  120. Jennifer,

The Tartines were on final sale at Providence Place when I was there over the weekend. They had a bunch of the white ones, a number of the light pewter ones, and a few other colors. The snow leopard one was also on sale. I got a white one for 45 dollars after the additional 20% off final sale and student discount.

  121. Amy, 3PP, et al. - I would love to meet up and shop. Please keep me in mind when you guys plan this trip! :)

  122. My order for the Italian Slim suit has been pushed back another month. That'll make it two months of waiting. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  123. Couldn't wait until Thursday... I went to my B&M tonight and my one find in the sale area was the Cashmere crew neck tee- marked down to $99 +30% off. I also could not resist the Simone silk scarf that I have been waiting for a sale to purchase! I think that it will really spice up my boring black winter coat.
    Love this site:)

  125. TO THE FEMALE POSTER FROM CANADA:

Sometimes eBay sellers themselves will also mark the tags of items they sell to prevent fraudulent returns to retail stores. You could always ask your seller about the tags or the source of the merchandise. Might give you a feel for whether this is a legitimate person to deal with or not - there is a lot of fraud/stolen merchandise on eBay. It's like the world's biggest fence for counterfeiting rings.

  126. Gigiofca- I think he probably meant green. This is a guess but I don't think aqua was on the color palette this year for accessories. (I sound kind of obsessed, no?)

    FFM, thanks!

To any one (and the anon) for the Candace: There was a subthread in the "J.Crew Email Reminder: Private Sale Ends Today" post about the bag. There is a picture posted by BGD or silverlining linked, I believe, from Gigi about the Candace. I can't get the link to show up here but I hope that helps... It helped me to get the name right.
