  1. I've seen the perfect fit flower top on sale for $25 at the Rock store. Thanks for posting these sale items!

  2. Alexis,
I wish I had something to report. I went to my local b&m yesterday expecting new sale merchandise and there were the same items as last week. Furthermore, there was nothing on promotion even. You'd think the economy was booming!

  3. The rose merino cardi is at a promo price of $88 (vs $99), and also cashmere cardis were promo at $99 vs $168.

  4. ilovesequins (not sequence) - My b&m has the word 'sale' on 2 of the front windows. The new colors are so bright. The front 1/4 of the store looks like it's springtime.

caliglam - I also sale rose merino cardis at $88. And I think all regular priced denim was $20 off.

  5. Hi, Don't have a store nearby and hoping someone can help....the plum cardigan with the rose vs. the deep peony cardigan....What is the color difference if any?

I have the merino roses cardi in plum and it is much different in person than the online color.....

I would like to get the dark peony but don't want to merino cardi's the same!

    THanks.

  6. In Birmingham, AL, Super 120s suiting is 25% off. Also, final sale is 40% off.

  7. Anon at 9:41, I have the plum floral cardigan and a sweater in the dark peony. I believe the website pictures match the color in real life. They are definitely in the same family, but the peony is a deeper magenta/purpe. It is a very pretty jewel tone. The plum is a brighter, lighter purple shade. If you like this family of colors, I think they are different enough to have both.

  9. Off topic, as I was looking at the sale section on the Web site this morning, the funniest thing happened. I clicked on a pair of boxer shorts for women to see what colors were available . I never could find out -- when I clicked, the promo offering free shipping for a $195 purchase appeared!

  10. OMG, the Harriet coat is $100 off online!

    ReplyDelete
  11. Apparently they just knocked $100 off the price of the Harriet coat online--"select colors" now $225 instead of $325 (but I think it's all colors).

I had ordered one last week and would have been bummed about missing the promo price, but I got mine last night and I have to return it. I had the same problem as some had with the Dana coat of extra fabric bunching up when I tie the belt. However, I know this coat did work for some other aficionadas.

  12. LOL, silver lining, just missed your post. ;)

  13. Stewart,

If you click a certain item and it goes back to front page, I believe that it means this item is sold out.

  14. just a note...in the SF store on Tuesday, the merino turtlenecks were tagged at 59.50 instead of 69.50. Not sure if that was a fluke or error, but I noticed it was a nice deal!

    What a great post!

  15. OT-WOW sale inventory is WAY down!!

Did they do well advertising the sale WITHOUT ANY FINAL SALE or what??? This really ought to set an example for them if this is indeed the reason.

  16. The Valleyfair (San Jose, CA) store is offering 30% off sale items, but it's still final sale.

The sale section was pretty large, but had a lot of the same things over and over (ringspun painter tee's, flip flops, herringbone Fionas, etc.), all the same price as online.

Also, they had the same deals going on that Alexis listed in the post.

  17. just wondering, are the stores offering additional percentage off sale? is it still final sale in stores?

  18. Rock store today also had merino t-necks for 59.50, and final sale section still 30% off. They had the same old stuff in the FS section but in addition they did have a whole rack of those tuxedo sweatpants Alexis had profiled a few months back. They were originally $69.50 and were marked down to $34.99-30%. They had them in black, gray and ivory.

  19. Covert5, the sale inventory under sale section is misleading. Some items are hiding. If you search "pants", you will find all sizes are available. Same as the "Chino Cooper jacket", if you search "jacket", you will find it.

  20. It isAnon 3:13pm again, I mean all sizes of "Overdyed cropped matchstick jean" is available.

  21. Today the Providence, RI store had the Cambridge Cable Crewnecks at $59.50, but there was no sign with the Merino Turtlenecks. Adult sale was an additional 30% off, but crewcuts sale had no additional discount :(

  22. I went to my b&m in Marietta,GA today. It is a new store so I got a $25 off $150 card in my latest catalog, (good only at that store.)
First of all, this store had very little of the new catalog. No victoria camis, limited colors in the Melanie merino cardi, and NO cashmere! No cashmere? Isn't that a J Crew staple? I was very confused. Also- no shoes! :(

Anyway- They had 30% off sale and it was still FINAL SALE. They made sure to tell me when they rang me up. On the sale rack- the sequin chiffon cardi for 69.99, tartine cardi $69.99, the carrie dress, the pleated neckline 3/4 sleeve tee for 39.99, lots of Lydias for 39.99, Silvie sweater dress, some of the brighter colors of the matchstick cords- green & orange- $39.99, and herringbone fionas/ecole. Also- all of the jewel button cardis for $69.99.

The only things I saw on promo were the matchstick cords and cable sweaters.

I picked up a few things and I got a price adjustment on the sequin chiffon cardi since it had only been 7 days since I purchased it for $88.

  23. jliz is right -- the merino t-necks are $59.50. The shades are so vibrant. I will go for the green avocado one.

Also saw the sweater w/the bows around the neck for $88 in Pleasanton, CA. There was a sign right there...'novelty sweaters' or something like that. I didn't bother to ask if that was correct or not since I don't like the sweater.

Their sale is final and 40% off. Saw the city tee in gray on FS. I think it was $39.99 before 40%. That was the only one. Similar to 96956 and 2 bows near the left shoulder. And also saw the sweater shirt type tee for $19.99, 96955. Dark eggplant is very pretty in person. The orange color looks great with khaki chinos.

Too bad I'm not hankering for the Harriet coat. What a great deal at $100 off!

  24. Oops -- on the city tee in gray when I said "that's the only one" I meant that color is the only one I saw on FS.

  25. crewbie, someone had previously mentioned that JC will be carrying cashmere only in the top 30 stores due to the economy. Along these lines, I saw a post on fashionista about how manufacturers are doing a lot less cashmere this season due to the economy--they are doing less expensive sweater blends.

  26. I was in the B&M store today in Madison, WI and got the Velvet Ecole jacket for $98. I wanted the burgundy color, which wasn't in the store, but was able to order it over the red phone and get the store sale price. I was so excited as I almost ordered it the other day, but really wanted to try it on, as I had ready some posts saying it had a specific fit and I didn't want to order the wrong size. SO glad I went into the store. I also got the herringbone ecole jacket in grey, listed on sale on the website for $149, I got it for $129 plus 40% off for store final sale. I love them both, can't wait to get the velvet!!!! Hope this helps someone. love the blog, such good info!

  27. Are there any jewelry on promotion or on sale that are not currently on sale online?

Thank you in advance for your help. :)

  28. ANON 3:13
Thanks--I wasn't talking so much about the quantity of each so much--I am talking about MUCH FEWER items in general;)

  29. Quick summary for anyone in the Charleston Area:

Much more things in the sale section. All at 40% off, final sale. A good number of fiona jackets, lots of tanks, still some Marcella shirts, Lydias in bright pink, Tartine cardigans in off white.

I purchased nothing, but tried on several. The tartine was just way to thin and see through. Mostly because of the color. Love the fiona, but it had a slight itch factor in the collar that I couldn't quite overcome for the price.

Must say the Victoria cami is really pretty in person. The collar is beautiful, but not nearly as upright and stiff and I thought it looked in the picture online.
Pintuck jersey scoopneck was on sale and really soft, but to flowy in the stomach area.

  30. Ann Arbor, MI store was still 30% off and final sale. The only additions I saw from last week were a table top full of a mix of last year's and this season's bootcut cords. The cashmere femmes are sale, and super cute in person, the portion below the empire is just right, not excessively pouffy. Not too many left, though, but I'll still hold off and buy only if it goes down another thirty or forty dollars.

  31. leaderboys - I agree. The pintuck jersey scoopneck is very voluminous. The silky jersey pleated is much better.

  32. I swear I posted this, but now I don't see it. The Michigan Ave, Chicago store is not only offering 30% off final sale items, but it's offering an additional 20% off your entire purchase if you buy at least $150. I saved a bundle today!!!
