"Thanks!" to an Anonymous JCA & Beatriz, who shared the following news & email. The latest J.Crew catalog sent to customers may have a unique promotional code (for something like 20% off on any order, free shipping with no minimum, or $20 off a certain amount).
On an interesting note, the Anonymous JCA did receive the January catalog from J.Crew. What wasn't there? A promotional code between pages 2 and 3. :( Say what now J.Crew!?! ;)
So double-check your catalog to see if you got a unique promo code too! :)
You know what was between page 2 and 3? A friggin' staple. Holding my catalog together. My catalogs hold up better than the clothing, and the catalogs take a bigger beating...what's that saying about your clothing quality? Thanks J.Crew, for nothing.

Got the catalog. Didn't get the code. I'm trying to figure out how J.Crew determined who would get the code....just tallied my Crew expenditures since November......frightening. Crazy thing is - I would have taken advantage of the code to buy a few full price tops for the spring. Thanks J. Crew! You saved me big $$

ReplyDeleteI have yet to receive my January catalog. What also irritates me is that when JC sends out emails with promos, they send my JC account email hours later than my other non associated emails.

JCrewPhD: I totally know what you mean. I know they stagger their emails because of the volume, but it does suck to receive the promo hours later when the updates are done early in the morning.
I got my catalog about a week ago, nothing in there. I spent WAY more at the end of the year than I've spent there yet, but I'm a recent returnee to J Crew - loved them in the roll-neck sweaters and flannel shirts era in the 90s, just recently rediscovered them - largely thanks to this blog. (I have a cashmere sweater from that period that still looks beautiful.) These random promos are SOO annoying. Maybe in the era when you wouldn't find out who got them and who didn't, they were ok, but now, it's just ridiculous.

ReplyDeleteI got my catalog recently but no promo code. I think I've only ever received one and that catalog was addressed to my husband. But today my year end gift of the calendar/diary arrived. I got the olive green one. These are nice diaries with all the info and maps but I am chained to MS Outlook for work so I'll see if a friend wants the paper version. Nice to get a gift from J.Crew though, hopefully a % off your order promo is on the way soon.
ReplyDeleteI got both the email and the coupon (in the catalog) last Saturday. Very shocking, since they never send me any coupons or gifts. I'm all shopped out, though, so all I ordered was the panama hat that I've been wanting since last summer, when it was sold out. Hopefully that's just enough of a tease to keep them sending more coupons...
