This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the HOLIDAY sale, or to see some new WINTER arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!
Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)
P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!
OT but saw some pants in a photo online I hadn't seen before that are intriguing. Below the "saturday sweater" item 37605 in the new arrival section--have any of you seen them in the store? I hear new arrivals in shop next week.
ReplyDeleteI just checked out online and I'm pretty sure I got 40% off Final sale/factory using the musthave code.
ReplyDeleteFactory items are back online & I am so lucky to get a "Palmera ruffle cami" at $29.7 after 40% off. Seems many items are added to final sale as well. This is my 3rd order since end of December. Gosh.
ReplyDeletefound some great hidden deals with the MUSTHAVE code! hope they don't cancel...got a betsy wrap cami for $11.99 after the discount!
ReplyDeletesub :)
ReplyDeleteI'm going, but only to do a return. My b&M is pretty bare, and they told me they aren't getting new stuff til the 19th.
ReplyDeleteStopped into a B&M last evening and bought the Stadium Elements coat in Dark Fatigue. Final cost was $119, it is so warm...
ReplyDeleteIf anyone sees the following at their B&M could you put on hold and let me know?
ReplyDelete-taffeta lace marvelle mini size 2
-women's buffalo plaid PJ bottom XS-S
-buffalo plaid sperry topsider snow boots sz 7-8
Thanks in advance :)

I'm not much in the mood to go to a mall...
ReplyDeleteWell, I went and they did have a few new things. Some cotton tunics that I guess you'd wear w/leggings or skinny jeans, some pretty scarves, and a few other items, but they're still planning on a lot of new arrivals on the 19th.
ReplyDeleteI will be there. Not too much new things to be excited about though.
ReplyDeleteI did snag the Lolli pants this am but now I am eyeing all these things in FS and I must stop!
Forgot to mention that I saw a cotton version of the Lisette lace shell at the store today. I didn't try it on, so can't comment on fit/style/look.
ReplyDeleteSaw at least 5 of the plaid metallic scarves (black/red with the gold trim) in Emeryville. $29.99 + 40%
ReplyDeleteWill be going in this afternoon to do some returning, since I re-bought at lower prices with the 40% off.
ReplyDeleteThere's not much left in my b&m. I did get the golden bubble pencil skirt. Lots of random sizes in cords and tees. A few purple bling button cardigans. Just some odds and ends really is all that's left.
ReplyDeleteI tried on some new items. I love the belmarin pants, but they were already sold out of my size in the white and chambray. I'll definitely keep an eye on them online since I wouldn't be able to wear them for a month or two. Just wish they came in short. I tried on the new cotton lisette and I like it, but even a strapless bra would show. You'd either have to be okay with showing (quite a bit of) bra or wear another cami underneath. 3 colors, but I can't remember exactly - all ivory, a soft camo green with ivory lace, and gray. I tried on and liked the vintage cotton mixed lawn shirt - wish I'd picked it up in the red when it went on sale online. The cream is quite sheer - even the blue/gray is sheer but not enough to need anything other than a non-shiny nude bra. I love the sunburst tank, it's very flattering, fits TTS. I will definitely pick this one up at some point. My b&m only had the light gray. I tried on a cardi that isn't online. It looked great on the hanger, but the pockets on my chest didn't work on me. Very cute otherwise. I tried on the stripe knit dress and if I didn't already have a navy/white striped knit dress, I might be tempted to get it (on sale). But, I don't need 2 of such similar dresses. For my ps, I tried on the candy plaid perfect fit shirt in the green colorway and to my surprise, it was my favorite item of the day! Loved it so much that I left with it. :) I can wear it layered now and alone later. It's thin enough that I think I can even wear it in the summer with the sleeves rolled up and a pair of shorts. I also tried on a horrid tunic - completely shapeless and sizing down wouldn't have helped. I think tall, slender ladies could wear it. Not online yet. That's it. New will, as previously mentioned, be in stores this coming week.
Lolli purple pants, size 12 at the B&M on Wisconsin Ave, Chevy Chase, DC...
ReplyDeleteSeems like a really tiny store, and so an in-scale tiny sale section. Really not that many new OR old things there... was hoping to exchange my online Waverly Chinos for the colour I actually wanted but they only had 4 colours in store. Montgomery Mall had at least 6-8 colours last week or whenever I went...
OT: TALBOTS
ReplyDelete50% off regular price and additional 50% off sale prices at Talbots in store and online
PLUS additional 10% off online and free shipping with code 901274780 through Monday 1/17
I did go into my B&M today to make some returns. The sale section was pretty random but substantial. For example, they had Prince of Wales capella coats in all sizes for $99 + 40% off, but very little other outerwear. BTW, for anyone wondering about sizing for that capella coat, it's very roomy and I ended up going down 2 sizes to prevent a "drowning in coat" look. My store also had a ton of tanks and shirts, but very few sweaters (most were XL). Did manage to score a pair of ballet flats in 8 & 1/2...usually my size is the 1st to go!
ReplyDeleteMy b&m said more spring items were due in this week. I'm glad I ordered during 40% off since what I saw at the b&m didn't look very promising. I know, it's only January (I feel so demanding!).
ReplyDeleteThose tunics...I'm just not sure how much one would need to size down. Plus the fabric is kind of stiff, not sure if they could be worn belted. I saw one, can't remember the colors now, that looked ok but not enough to warrant a trip to the dressing room. I'm sure they'll make it to a lower price.
math teacher,
Isn't the candy plaid perfect fit shirt great? I thought the same exact thing about it. I ordered 'bottle blue'. The web pic doesn't do it justice.
math teacher and IRL: Did you get your normal perfect shirt size in the candy plaid?
ReplyDeleteFFM, Due to the thin feel of the shirt & JC's description, I ordered my regular size 4, and a 6, since those shirts can run small on me across the back/chest/shoulders. I didn't try it on at the b&m.
ReplyDeleteI'll let you know when I receive it. You may get to the b&m before my order ships since all of the orders are still sitting 'open', per my JCrew account page.
Fabulous Florida Mommy, I went with my regular button-up size. It does pull a little at my chest, but nothing a little "hollywood tape" won't fix. :)
ReplyDeleteIRL, I do like them both, but since I don't have much green in my closet (although I like gren), I decided to try that one on. I really wasn't expecting to like it (my ps was surprised, too) but it was my favorite item. :)
Thank you IRL and math teacher! :)
