Extra 30% off sale items & FREE SHIPPING starts now

"Thanks!" to many of you, including GigiOfCa (in this post), as well as Ketan, who shared the promotion & email from J.Crew this morning.

J.Crew is offering to take 30% off all final sale items (no min) and free shipping (on $150+) with promo code MUSTHAVE. This offer expires this Sunday, January 16, 2011.

Will you be checking out the Sale section? Are there any items you are hoping to see or to get? Does your local B&M have "final sale" as well?

  1. Wow, everything is so picked over in FS that I'm not even remotely tempted, would rather "shop" the JCA Exchange :)

  2. Not looking!! Must.control.buying :)

  3. There is nothing I want... or at least, nothing I want that is practical and that I can afford!

  4. I did purchase some Factory pajama pants that were $6.99 after discount, but that's about it. Oh, I did get the striped Reve tee for $29...it's not final sale but the discount applied. You're right...everything is really picked over!

  5. curious about Trouper Pants...how do they fit, tts? a little snug? too big? thanks, in advance, for any advice!

    ReplyDelete
  6. I think the Troupers fit TTS. Some feel they're a little big in the waist, but I didn't really feel that way.

The thing I'm eyeing is the Trudie coat or the BonBon. That's it.

  7. I really have no business shopping, after racking up such a horrendous bill last month.

I really want the Double-cloth ingenue coat in black, even though I already have another black coat, and I already bought 3 new coats this season. The coat is bloody still to expensive, if you ask me.

My question is, is an item final sale (.99) even if it's not coming up Final Sale on the description page or when I check out?

  8. mrs.anketell, I love my trouper pants. Most JC pants, including Linley & matchsticks bag around the thigh area but these were nice and fitted. Bought my regular size (Size 0, 5'1" & 110 lbs) and it's very flattering but be aware it's a bit loose in the waist (by about 1/2 inch on me) and quite snug in the calves (my calves measure about 12.5 inches at the widest point) but they have some stretch so it's still comfortable.

Do a search on this website & you'll see others' comments; a few others posted about it a couple months ago too.

  9. Ordered a few basics that I had been considering when I checked the site early this morning and saw "30% off Sale Items." Then I got the email re: "Final Sale." Nothing I bought was considered Final Sale. Just sent an email to customer service to make sure I can return if needed.

Seems like this has happened before to others.

  10. I think I've asked this before but I can't find the post...

Does anyone have a review of the Silk bloussana tunic?

    Thanks!

  11. I ordered by phone and they confirmed that various items in my selections were not final sale... but the 30% still applied.

BTW, just in CASE this helps anyone else, I got some petite bi-stretch wool Minnie pantsmeasurements from the online chat...

    Petite 0 W 29.25" H 33.5"
    Petite 2 W 30.25" H 34.5".
    Petite 4 W 31.25" H 35.5"

I really wanted the Henna ones but they seem to be sold out in my size! :P Must find in store... but want to see those Parsley ones too!

  12. Wolfy: I was told that if it ends in .99 it's final sale even if it doesn't read "final sale" on the item when you check out. I ran into this problem once and they explained the .99 rule after I fought and fought to return an item that didn't read "final sale". HTH

  14. Here's how I curbed my buying urge. I used code MUSTNOTHAVE.

  15. mrs.anketell: I think the trouper pants run true to size. They do stretch out a liiittle bit after wearing them and as another poster mentioned, they're a bit tight in the ankles. I stuck to my regular size. I have a picture of them on my blog in titanium under the Dec 1, 2010 post. Hope that helps!

    No final sale!

  17. This is OT, but I received an email with a 30% coupon off 1 item that can be used at Off Saks 5th Ave. store. I won't use it. It expires tomorrow though. If you want it, please email me at ohjoymorelaundry at gmail dot com.

Thx! As for extra 30% sale, I'm totally shopped out. I tried organizing my closet and can't even reach a bunch of things, not to mention I found 2 bins with JC stuff. Time to list on the exchange. Must shop the closet. I'm so, so done for several months. Egads.

  18. @ Christy & mommydearest - loving the codes! LOL!!

  19. mommydearest,

That is the code I am using right now-- after returning a big box of items last week BEFORE final sale started!

I enjoy checking this site though:)

  21. Nothing in the FS interests me, even with the 30%. There are a few full price items I'm eyeing. Anyone happen to get a 20% code in their catalog they're not going to use?

    andrew.haag@gmail.com

    ReplyDelete
  22. Andrew: I have one, but it's in store only so I will have to mail you the coupon if you want. I can do that only if you're in the US.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Thanks Lisa Groves.
If that is the case, then I may need to pass on the too expensive Double-cloth ingenue coat.

Has anyone reviewed the Rainy-Day Utility Jacket? I've seen it in stores, but I haven't tried it on yet.

  24. This is the type of sale that allows me to get Collection items. I have to hope, of course, that an item doesn't disappear in my size before the reduction-reduction+30% finally happens!

I scored the Belstaff Shannon boots 27259, was $650, with all the reductions, $244. Incredible quality.

Also, the Tweed morceau jacket 32547, was $598, with reductions, $195.

Assuming they actually ship, I am a happy camper.

  25. Does anyone know anything about the dream zip sweater-jacket? ( item 32159 ) I have scoured the internet and there are no reviews to be found. Any info would be really helpful.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Yeah, I know, I don't need another coat, but I ordered the boulevard trench in gray. It's only $125 and I love my navy boulevard trench.

  27. My last order arrived Friday and everything worked out. For the first time in a very long time I don't have a package on the way and I'm feeling pretty good about it. There are two popbacks that I will buy if they make it back in my size but otherwise I am not taking the bait on final sale.

  28. Katelyn - The gilded sweater-jacket looks quite similar. Click here for irl pics. The gilded sweater-jacket has zip sleeves & a couple other differences, but they're quite similar. I'd call CS for measurements. Items that begin at XXS sometimes run one size large. HTH

  29. Thanks Amanda for the offer. I'd love it but one of the items I want is internet/catalog only. I got my catalog today. No code. Still got my fingers crossed. Thanks again!

  30. Amanda,

If no one has taken it yet and you're not using it, I would LOVE your coupon! There is something at the b&m that I am dying to get but too expensive at FP.

    Can you email me at:

    phoebe(dot)zozo(at)mac(dot)com?

    Thanks!

  31. OT:

    Dinagideon,

I noticed on your blog that Boden has their new spring line and presale going. I did not get this email like I usually do. Do you have a coupon code and or link to the site? THanks. I have no idea why I did not receive the email.

I would post on your blog but could not get it to work.

    Sorry to any JCA's.

  32. I don't know if this matters to anyone, but I have NEVER had a problem returning items to my local b&M when they are not marked Final Sale on my shipping receipt. I do not try to return items marked final sale unless I call Customer Service first and "clear" it with them (just did this on a pair of FS jean that I think were mismarked as to size). At checkout, on the JC site, items are always marked prmoinently Final Sale in red if , indeed, they are final sale. Sometimes, I will still buy things marked this way (if I have tried them on previously or they are similar to items I already own). Otherwise, I order away , get the 30% off items in the sale section (and free shipping if I meet the requirement). I am sorry to hear so many have had bad experiences with returning sale items, but I have not!

  33. Genny, the link is www.bodenpreview.com. They had their 20% off new items quite a while ago. You may be able to find a code through google.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Hey, Genny, and all:

There is no coupon circulating right now at Boden. Weird! I was able to get 20% and fs and free returns way back when in October when I made the pre-order!

I will let all the Boden Aficionadas know if I receive an e-mail with a coupon of some sort over at my blog if it happens. As far as I can tell, they haven't even shipped my pre-order. Hmm.

Re: commenting at my blog, disqus is fickle, but it does give me the ability to track the comings and goings of whacked out commenters (a la what happened to me in March of last year) better, so for now it is my best bet. I wish it would be kinder to more people!

Alexis, thanks for letting me take the discussion off track for a moment!!!

Now back to the Crew with one question--I just got the cashmere suzy jacket off ebay, does anyone own it? It looks so pretty and soft!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Alexis, please excuse one more Boden comment - there is a 15% and free shipping circulating on the web, should pop up with a google search.

    ReplyDelete
  36. I just got a Boden email this morning with 20% off and free shipping and returns and a link to their spring arrivals. So other hopefully will get this too.

Sorry for the Boden post and if this offends other JCA's.

  37. I'm not even checking out Final Sale.

  38. the bonfire cardigan can be purchased for $79 including $10 shipping with the new coupon code, and yet it was selling full price at the store as of this morning.

i would have loved to buy it in store for the sale price and saved the bother and expense of shipping. now that i'm home and thinking about it, i'm not sure i'll get it at all. i always impulse buy in the b&m, not so much with the webshop.
