Last Day To Take 40% Off Final Sale

Today is the last day to take 40% off all final sale items (no min) and free shipping (on $100+) with promo code MUSTSHOP.

I won't lie, I bit on this promo. More than once too. The prices and all those re-stocks were too good to pass up. Well played J.Crew, well played.

Again, it's worth noting that some brick & mortar (B&M) stores are offering an additional 50% off Final Sale items. :)

Will you be checking out the Sale section? Are there any items you are hoping to see or to get? Does your local B&M have "final sale" as well?

  1. Received the Miller short motorcycle flat boots a few days ago. A little disappointed that they are more grey than black, seemed more narrow than imagined, and just didn't give me that overall WoW factor that my Fryes gave me. I can seen them looking cute in a skirt or dress especially. I always wear pants, and it's toe area is not all that attractive IMO. Returned them today.

  2. Received the "Stretch wool pencil skirt" size 0, and the "Stretch wool trouser in favorite" Petite 2. They are nothing like thick wool that I thought. But I had a hard time finding a fit in other stores. The ones from J Crew actually fit! It was like winning a lottery.

  3. 5am est, the Charlize vest is back in small and medium at 449.99 before discount. i couldn't justify it!

  4. No Update? Woke-up in the middle of the night for nothing. Damn you Jcrew!

  5. There is almost nothing in the Sale section! I went to the B&M at Barton Creek Square yesterday and almost nothing in their sale section, either. They did have a necklace I may have to have (at FP) that I do not see on the website: multi strand grey pearls (almost looks like silver) for $98.

  6. 5:44am - Still no updates. I still hope the dark raisin Infinity Cardigan, small, would pop back.

  7. For items I was watching there does seem to have been a small restock. Got the elette cardi in apricot mist (not fs) for $113 after the 40 percent, and a trouper pant in shadow (this color was not available in my size last night).

  8. I managed to grab the Jackie in Tavern green in my size but the nightfall blue wouldn't add to my cart...Anyway, the tavern green wasn't there last night so there must have been a tiny update.

  9. 7:15 a.m., Still no updates its the same as it was at 5 a.m.

  10. Well, I'm disappointed there's no update. So, even though I have a few things in my cart, I'm not dying enough for them to pull the trigger even at 40 off. I hope I don't regret it, but I don't think I will.

  11. I think there was a teenie tiny update as I saw the Ombre coat now in the sale section and the pararuffle shirt (where did this come from??) I haven't seen either of these before (at least not in my size) so I am thinking that there was a very mini update??

  12. oh and some of the sale arrivals are NOT FS

    ReplyDelete
  13. I was really hoping for an update since my order arrived yesterday with the wrong item - AGAIN!! - but no such luck. So fustrating!

  14. Nothing left for me...certainly they'll restock at midnight when the promo ends (SNORT!)

Those hoors at headquarters canceled the shipment of my palermo paisley bikini!! :( I've been trying to get it on popback for MONTHS. Not that I actually needed it, but jeez. Everything else appears to have shipped.

Also, very OT, but I'm wondering if any of you gals can help me find a pic of a hat I want desperately so i can add the pic to my 'looking to find' stash. It was from maybe a year or two ago, spring or summer, and it was a real light-colored straw hat, not a wide brim, and it had a wide, pale pink ribbon-like piece of fabric around the top.

Someone here had one for sale on the exchange about a year ago and I keep thinking about it, arrggghh. I just can't believe I didn't save the photo of it, but I've checked my work and home PCs and can't find it.

If anyone knows what I'm talking about and has a photo to share, please LMK! Thanks. :)

  15. Around 5:15 am cst, I FINALLY got the Jackie cardi and shell in Nightfall Blue in my size. The price of both ended in $.99, but it doesn't say final sale on either. Now, I'm just praying they ship.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Elaine! I have that hat. I'll do my best to find a picture online or I'll take one of mine.

  17. Some sweaters in men's restored - picked up a couple for hubs

  18. Got the dreaded email yesterday-no plaid boyfriend cardigan for me ;(
Looks like everything else shipped. Now I just wait for the UPS man and hope it's all in there!I can't wait to see the metallic coquette bag and studded cardigan IRL.

  19. LOL! I see I wasn't the only one up early this morning, hoping for an update. :)

It felt like J.Crew would update every morning during the beginning of this promotion. I feel like a trained seal, since that is all it takes for me to check every early morning now. ;)

  20. literally checked every half hour from about 4am EST. till 9am.

  21. Thank you soooooo much Katarzyna!! I appreciate it! My email address is elaine dot hamill at gmail dot com. :)

  22. Still hoping against hope to find a Washed Leather Moto in a size 10 or 12 if anyone sees one...:)

    ReplyDelete
  23. Aww... no update (or if there is, a very minimal one). C'est la vie?

  24. Disappointed and relieved about no huge updates!

  26. Wolfy, I'm glad to hear you say that re: the Miller boots, because I had been eyeing them for some time and they fell out of my cart amid the MUSTSHOP promo.

    jcrewlove, LOL!

  27. There was a very small update. Last night when I went to sleep the stock was up to about 323 items in the Women's sale section, and when I woke up around 3 a.m. PST (thanks to insomnia) there were over 360 items. Not what we had hoped for, though. :p

    ReplyDelete
  28. Can anyone comment on the Factory Twill Bomber Jacket? Item 37580 ... worth it at $52 or a ripoff?

    ReplyDelete
  29. Just one order this time for the Super 120s Elan trousers in two colors and the Super 120s Lisse jacket. Really not much left and there were very few updates that survived by the time they got to the West Coast which is just as well. The Broken-In Boyfriend Chinos went back to full price so passed on those.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I didn't think there would be an update. I think we'll see price cuts and maybe a huge update tomorrow or Fri. I have no inside knowledge. Just guessing based on past experience. They seem to do a massive update the day after a promo ends.

  31. Long post alert! :P Like Gigi said on her blog, JC's prices have rubber in them. Trouser jeans were $78 last night, $98 this morning. Cashmere crewneck cardis are restocked in most colours/sizes, remaining seasonal colours are marked down to $99.99.

I see a few collection coats have been added to outerwear. The Gloverall coat is available in teeny European sizes, if you're a fit, that's a total STEAL (works out to $240). Call CS for measurements.

Oh, and it may be just a Google Chrome issue, but when I filter by my size, some items are "hidden" even though the actual product page shows that my size is in stock. Not that there are a long list of items I'm stocking, but it's a pain to click on each to see if the filter is "lying".

Thank goodness I didn't set my alarm to wake up this morning to check the site, was somehow expecting the "usual" massive "last day of promo" update. Expect the unexpected at JC.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I meant STALKING. Not STOCKING. OMG and my verif word is SIUNREAL.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Yes, teeny weeny update allowed me to (hopefully) grab a cashmere cardi in warm honey, which I've been stalking! Also bumped a pair of jeans I had in my cart back up to full price though. Oh well, it was an even trade!

My first time jumping on the website as soon as I got out of bed - also relieved it wasn't a huge update! I'm all set for winter now - will be looking forward to spring items for my rewards card.

Gigi - thanks for your help on the jeans measurements. I ended up asking CS for a few more, and then the measurements they gave me for the downtowns were different from what they gave you! Only by like 1/2" but still. So I ordered both sizes after. They're not final sale, so we'll see how they fit and how that light wash on the back turns out! :) Thanks again!

  34. Closet Crisis thanks for the heads up on the cashmere cardigans. I was able to get the heather tide which is now showing up in almost every size.

  35. Elaine, I purchased the factory twill bomber in sz 0 fatigue - it is cute, lined, and lightweight (what I was looking for - didn't want a lot of bulk but liked the military/utility look and this was my first besides a crewcuts army jacket.) it'll probably go down in price but I figured I might get some wear out of it now in Cali. Sorry I can't compare with the retail version (though some bloggers have IRL photos)- it looks a little less poufy than the retail, and I like that with the thinner material it makes it easy to roll up the sleeves without feeling like the Michelin man! the pockets are only accessible from the top, also, so it's really a spring weather rolled-up-sleeves jacket IMO. HTH!

    ReplyDelete
  36. I too was up at 4 am and then 5 (only advantage to be alone in the household with a sick child) and didn't see the update. But strangely they restocked the factory Sanur dress so I grabbed it with the 40% off and payed the shipping. Anyone has comments on the fit? I ordered a S because the XS never popped back and I am a little bit worried that it will be too big but I want to wear it to a beach weeding so I took a chance on it.

Elaine, I had a very bad experience with the Palermo bikini too. First time the bottom shipped but not the top. Second time the top shipped but it's too big in the torso (supposedly my size). I am thinking of taking the top to the tailor though because I got it for very cheap and I love the print.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I started sleeping thru the night thank goodness and have not ordered a thing from this second round of 40%off sale. It actually is fabulous. The pat on the back is somewhat diluted by the multiple orders from the first 40% promo but I do love all those items :) and those restocks were epic!

  39. Can anyone comment if the Noelle lace-up booties fit TTS or not? I am usually an 8M in shoes. TIA

    ReplyDelete
  40. I place two orders during this promo. I was able to get the sunnie skirt and a marled shawl collar sweater on popback. The second order has already shipped but not the one I placed first. Does this mean I will get the dreaded cancellation email?? Oh, I hope not.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Rose, I have the Noelle lace up bootie in the brown and black. They fit slightly large. I bought them to wear for cold weather so a slightly thicker sock works fine. But if you are wearing them with tights, they could possibly fit a bit loose. HTH!

    ReplyDelete
  42. ajr - I got different measurements the 2nd time I called. I decided to share the ones I got from the woman I talked to on the phone. Although I don't know if copy/paste from chat reps is more accurate. Let me know how the jeans fit. I know the downtown has a slouchier hip and I'm curious how that is against the ankle stretch toothpick.

  43. There are a handful of the new arrivals on Net-a-Porter...just blogged about them here. :)

    ReplyDelete
  44. If anyone received the Miller high heel motorcycle boot in a 7 1/2 or 8 and doesn't want them, I'd love to buy them-

    ReplyDelete
  45. I too am expecting a significant restock tomorrow after the 40% off promo ends. Either they're really messed up with how they handle their inventory, or they are extremely clever and use sophisticated programming algorithms to track the frequency at which people watch items, put them in their shopping carts, etc. They can probably measure addiction level. J Crew = pusherman.

    ReplyDelete
  46. Nothing for me and I have my rewards card too. I looked all through the site and at the new stuff too. Nothing excites me. It's all droopy washed out colors and too short skirts. Not a skirt in the sale section over 16 inches!

    ReplyDelete
  47. Can anyone comment on the Dixon boot?

    ReplyDelete
  48. I received the stretch vintage trouser cords I ordered in golden wood - love them! I'm waiting on another pair in cobblestone, and on the Miller high heel boots in dark brown that apparently finally have shipped.

And now I need this sale to end, because for some reason I lost my mind and ordered the bonbon coat in spicy russet today. I've just been nuts for the coat in that color since I saw it in a fall catalog.

I usually take a P12 in their coats, I risked a P10 here, because of the roomy cut - keeping my fingers crossed.

    ReplyDelete
  49. Ema (and anyone else) - is it easy to tailor swimwear? I also got a top that is a little big around (per the size chart it was what I should have ordered) and if it could be made a little more snug I'd be happier with it. I'd been wondering if a tailor could work magic with a swim top.

    ReplyDelete
  50. Kristin, I do my own alterations and my answer to you is "yes" if it's a regular bra-type top and "probably" if it's a tank-type top.

    ReplyDelete
  51. OT but has everyone received their rewards card already? I'm almost positive I spent $500 this past quarter, but all I got in the mail was a small white card with a priority phone number on it. Honestly though, I don't really know how to read the points box when you log in. What is total points, points earned, and points needed for reward? TIA to anyone who can explain this!

    ReplyDelete
  52. I just have a small nit, but sure you can all relate. Why is it that I am getting a "dont get left out in the cold" email on the 40% off sale at 429pm EST today. We all know there are near zero items left, so unless they are going to restock before the close of this sale, that was a completely fruitless eBlast!

    ReplyDelete
  53. I cannot figure out why there are so many Gibson sandals left! It almost made me afraid to order them, but when they arrived I was very pleased. They're beautiful. Does everyone else think they're ugly??

    ReplyDelete
  54. I got my Bistro pants from FS today - I paid $45 for them. I have other pairs and love them for work. When I opened the package, they looked wrinkled and worn. I noticed they had a tag on them, with numerous price tags stickers on it - they had been marked down to $29.99- clearly a send back from the stores. Ha! Nice J Crew. They are going back and will be returned. Crazy. FS doesn't mean used.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Jackie - I agree with you. The rewards points online make completely no sense. Can anyone explain??

    ReplyDelete
  56. I'm so bummed, I received my Ares platform heels in Wild Mushroom today. I have only purchased flats from J. Crew and got my usual 8, but they are definitely too big. They are gorgeous, but unfortunately not available any longer or I would re-order in a smaller size. Darn you final sale, you strike again!

    ReplyDelete
  57. Natalie, I'd call and tell them that you bought your regular size and that they're too big. Hopefully, you'll be allowed to return them.

Nothing for me. I'm very proud of myself for not ordering anything except 2 items for my niece and nephew. :)

    ReplyDelete
  58. Jackie & Firefighter Wife: the reward points on my online statements don't make sense too so I stopped monitoring that. What I do is multiply the amount I spent for that quarter by 5%. The amount roughly equals the reward amount I receive. Note though that they use increments of $25 so any extra is carried over the next quarter's reward points.

    ReplyDelete
  59. i caved and bought a long sleeve cashmere tee in the heather tide and the wooltown skirt in black.

i do like the lower minimum though. hopefully that sticks around.

also- is there a free shipping code around for when the new rollout hits tomorrow

    ReplyDelete
  60. Will the rollout be up at midnight?? Or 3 am?

    ReplyDelete
  61. Final sale extended until today, doesn't look like major update, 288 items at 6:13 a.m.

    ReplyDelete
  62. Site is updated with NEW ARRIVALS and Jenna's Eye Candy. spring is here, the colors are great.

    ReplyDelete
  63. New catalog is up too, I have a lot of time on my hands with a foot of snow on the ground....

  64. Hey gang! Yesterday I got an awesome order :) yayay! I recieved the double serge pencil skirt in vintage westeria (color is darker than it appears online, but it is still GORG), tissue silk posie shell tank in golden topas (SO CUTE! looks exactly as it appears online), factory printed scarf in nautical stripe (this is very light weight rayon, its basically see-through, but will be perfect for the summer), and infinity cardigans in dark seaweed, mansfield blue, and light westeria (really like them, except the light westeria is tighter on the arms than the other two....even thought they are all XS...weird). I'm totally happy with my order :) exciting! I'll be wearing the items in the next few weeks so, check out my blogs for updates!

  65. Very small update this morning and nothing new, but it looks like they restocked in some colours and sizes, so I managed to snag the Trouper pant in shadow in size 6! Yippee!! Yesterday I received my starry night cardigan but I think it must have been a store return because it smells very strongly of fragranced laundry detergent! Unfortunately it's a FS and it's sold out, so I guess I am stuck with it. Otherwise it looks great - love the tulle trim - and I am looking forward to wearing it once I get the scent out.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Every single item I click on in the Sale section is either a dead link or sold out. Every. Single. Thing. I'm beyond frustrated with J Crew's 1995 website technology. Update links! Don't show me pictures of something that I want only to tell me that you don't have it!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Just got 3 pairs of vintage bootcut corduroys for $18 a pop! Whoah! I guess no one likes them but me or they wouldn't be so discounted. Admittedly, the colors are pretty weird.

Also got a couple flannel shirts for my husband - they are nice and thick but so soft!
