Congrats to all those in the area!!! :)
If anybody happens to find the Slub Henley Tee with Scattered Silk flowers of various colors along the neckline in XS in the mossy oak/brownish color from Summer 2010, please let me know! Thanks! There was a listing on ebay but someone already bought it before I had a chance.

AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH! Finally something nearby that I can go to! I'm going to try really really hard to go the first or 2nd day. Will photograph what I can and will report back should I be lucky enough to make it there. :)
ReplyDeleteElaine, I am envious. Here's hoping you make out with some fantastic deals. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteYAY! Hooray for the triangle! I live in Durham and I have a feeling I'll be driving to and from University Mall every other day for most of the month of January. I've heard they constantly refresh/restock so for those of us who can't get there at 10:00 am on Friday - don't sweat it!
ReplyDeleteLucky ducks! Chapel Hill is just under 3 hours from me and I NEVER get to that area of the state. Hope those of you who can go are able to score some awesome deals!
ReplyDeleteShould be able to make it out there a few times; esp day one. Really close by to me--under an hour to get there:)
ReplyDeleteI used to go to these JCrew sales in the late 90's/early 2000's when I lived in IL. Fun:)
Congrats to all those who can attend. I am so jealous of you all! :)
ReplyDeleteThe jealousy continues with me too! ;) I hope y'all score some great deals!
ReplyDeleteOh.My.Goodness. I live in Chapel Hill!!!! Well, that does it, New Year's resolution out the window and HELLO University Mall!! Thanks AppGal for letting us in on this (dangerous) news!!
ReplyDeleteYEAH!! mom's morning out on Saturday :)
ReplyDeleteanyone see a coupon like the one that appeared in the Winston Salem paper? Not sure if it would appear in the Durham or Raleigh papers. Does CH have a paper?
ReplyDeleteI would love to find a coupon for this one if anyone comes across one!
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know if you can use J Crew gift cards at the sample sale?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Yes, you can use JCrew gift cards, but you cannot use the JCrew credit card
ReplyDeleteHey! I heard about the warehouse sale discreetly on the radio and I'm pumped now that I know it's a J. Crew sale! Thanks to you for supplying THAT information! Any chance there's a coupon that can be used there? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI snapped a few cell phone pictures last night before today's warehouse opening. Lots of shoes:

The one item I could pick out was the Cleo platform sandal - which was originally $165.00, now on sale online for $89.99. Don't know yet what the warehouse price will be.
ReplyDeleteWent to the sale today and got a TON of great stuff...Super 120's dress for $20, Classic herringbone pant in Lemon, Leopard print pony hair ballet flats for $30, Stadium Pea Coat for $50, leather bomber $50, etc...It's def worth going. Tthey restock every night, so if you can't go until next weekend, I think you'll be fine. There were a TON TON of bridesmaid dresses...Don't let your New Years resolution of not shopping stop you!!! The fairy fashion gods are blessing you!!!
ReplyDeleteI got there at 10 am and spent a little over 5 hours going through the disorganized boxes of clothes like a crazy person. There were a lot of sample J. Crew and Madewell items. Tons and tons of shoes, but I didn't find any that I wanted to purchase sadly. The best deal I found was the bathing suits. Each piece was $3, so if you found a matching top and bottom, you had only $6 in a set! I'm planning to go back next week and hoping that it will be beter organized. They unload boxes throughout the day and trucks will continually delivery shipments throughout its opening.
ReplyDeleteIf a Rhodie tote is on earth somewhere gently used would love to hold him! Cant wait to go to the Chapel Hill sale Thanks for the info!!!
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know if they do the 15% discount with student IDs?
ReplyDelete@Lu: no discounts unfortunately!
ReplyDeleteI finally went last night and spent about 2 hours digging through the boxes. Ended up with a silk tricotine Cecelia dress in brown ($15), a Cambridge cable turtleneck ($20), and an embroidered top from the summer '11 collection ($5). They had some silk tricotine Hope dresses too - the fabric is soft and a good weight.
ReplyDeleteIf you're still planning to visit, I would recommend wearing leggings and a T shirt or tank top to make try-ons easy. There is no dressing room, and only one mirror, so if you want to try something on, you do it in the aisle.
Thanks everyone for reporting back! :)
ReplyDeleteKatherine, I plan on having a post up tomorrow with your photos. Thanks for sharing them! :)

ReplyDeleteHere's one more I took with my phone acting as a "mirror", but you can see the masses of disorganized piles behind me. Identities have been changed to protect the guilty shopper :)

I'd love to go but last time I went to antoerh sample sale in NC, we got there by 10:05 and waited 2.5 hours outside and still didn't get inside. It's so frustrating.....
ReplyDeleteI can only go in the weekend. Would it be that bad? If I get there by 10, would I see long lines and have to wait really long time to get inside?
The line is getting shorter. I went the first day and waited for 15 minutes. I went today and there was not line at all. Go as soon as posible.
ReplyDeleteI just returned from the Chapel Hill sale, highly frustrated. I found some very cute things but my shopping skills were no match for the team of Ebay sellers descending like piranhas on every box from the most recent shipment. They each seem to cover a zone of the store and phone each other throughout. There were probably 50 gorgeous double cloth coats and two women took them all. The same thing happened when new boots were placed on the sales floor. I'm sure they'll do well reselling but it certainly takes the fun out of it for those of us looking for an honest bargain.
ReplyDeleteJust in case anyone is close and wants another try...they are doing an extra 30% off everything. It seems like there is still a lot left in the back they need to get out.
ReplyDeleteIs this warehouse sale only a couple times a year? and is this warehouse open full time, I'm in Arizona and I think traveling to NC, would be worth it, if it is so!!! Can some one please let me know!! I missed it for 3 days, I usually check this blog, yet, I didn't scroll all the way down and missed this sale post!!:(
