Take 30% off Final Sale with OURTREAT

"Thanks!" to many of you, including Rose & GigiOfCa (in this post) as well as Irina & Andrea, who let us know about the following promotion.

J.Crew is offering an additional 30% off Final Sale with promo code OURTREAT. This offer expires Sunday, October 28, 2012. The fine print includes:
*Offer valid at jcrew.com and J.Crew retail stores on orders shipping to the U.S. and Canada only. Offer is not valid at jcrewfactory.com or J.Crew Factory stores. Offer does not apply to previous purchases or to the purchase of gift cards. 30% off discount applies to sale items at jcrew.com only. Offer valid through Sunday, October 28, 2012, 11:59pm ET. Savings are applied at checkout with code OURTREAT. Offer not valid on phone orders. Cannot be combined with any other promotion. Limit one promotional code per order. Details of offer are subject to change.
It is nice to finally see the additional percent off available online as well. (Considering B&M stores have been offering 30% off for the past week.)

Also, super happy to see this offer is being extended in brick & mortar stores for awhile longer. Although, neither promo is good for my wallet... ;)

Will you be taking advantage of this promotion? Any items you are interested in? If so, please share!

  1. Also, there are many items that are showing up as regular sale and not final sale in the shopping cart. Hopefully final sale will be officially over soon.

  2. Can anyone comment on whether or not the Collection Jacquard Keyhole blouse runs big or small? I'm annoyed about FS. As I've lost weight, it's been harder for me to know what my size is. I just can't gamble on a few items I'm interested in b/c I don't want to get stuck. :-( I do have some basics in my bag, though, that I plan to grab.

  3. Jruby -- I posted a review of the blouse here. I tried a size 4 and a size 2 and went with a 2, which is my size in the Talitha. I'd go with your normal size, maybe the smaller of two if you waver.

    1. I agree. I got the navy last time around. I tried a 6 and 8 and went with a 6.

  4. I did take advantage of the extra 30% off to order the Martina Leopard wedges that I've had wishlisted since their debut. The Safari Juliets did not work for my daily life at the time, and also were not quite comfortable enough for me, so I sold them a couple of years ago. I was thrilled to see the Martinas offered in the same print with a wedge style, and now that they are no longer final sale, it was the perfect time to get them. My in-store PS placed the order and honored the B&M sale price, too. :)

For those interested, the lists of promo-priced items (some of which have recently been marked down) for both the Women and Men posted on my blog here and here, respectively.

    1. FFM, was the in-store price lower than online for the shoes?

    2. Hi Jruby18! I think they are $159 in the stores now.

  5. Don't forget, if you signed up for Factory First you should have ***free shipping*** on jcrew.com orders through Nov 1. No code needed, just remember to sign in before checking out.

This makes OURTREAT a really good deal!

  6. So, wanted to order the perfect shirt in tartan. Price is non-sale @ $78, but it says final sale in my cart. How is this possible???

    1. LG, if it's at all possible try to contact a customer service rep. Most likely they will tell you that it's an error and the shirt isn't final sale. If that is the case, have him/her put a note on your order stating this fact and make sure to make note of the rep's name and/or your case number. HTH

  7. Does anyone know what the difference is between items in kelly green and vintage kelly? I ordered the bateau cashmere sweater during the sweater promo last week in kelly green and it was too big. I'd like to reorder in a smaller size but suddenly it only seems to be available in "vintage kelly." The color looks almost identical but it's so hard to tell online. Does anyone know if this is actually a different shade or if they just renamed it?? Seems like almost every item that was available in kelly green a week ago is now vintage kelly instead.

  8. Saw this one coming, and bit on a cashmere sweater I've been wanting. Started reluctantly looking around for something to add to get free shipping, and remembered my account had free shipping, so yay! Will try to refrain checking again the rest of the week since I also bit on the Kate spade sale this weekend. :)

    1. Thanks for noticing! I just put it up too. I love that image too! (I used the header before b/c I love love love that group photo!) :)

    2. I too LOVE this shoot / Jcrew Era. It was their best ever in my opinion. It is still what I hope Jcrew will return too....sigh.

    3. I love it, too! A very classic Crew photo shoot. It gets me in a festive mood. :)

  10. I just bought the Martina Leopard Wedges...finally! After much deliberation. I also noticed that they are no longer marked "final sale". When I was going to order during the last promo they were final sale however now it has disappeared...maybe they are preparing for the end of final sale?

  11. Anybody know what's the price of Collection cashmere Isabel sweatshirt in FROSTED SPRUCE? I didn't see this color listed on jcrew website now. Thanks!

    1. Hi, when I bought mine online it was on promo for $198.00 and I got 30% off. That was on 9/21 and I think it went lower than that but I could be wrong. Check Fabulous Florida Mommy's blog and Gigi of California's blog. They do price notes.

  13. I got a pair of bootcut cords in the brilliant flame color. Nice to have free shipping in my account so I didn't have to add ride-alongs! :)

  14. I bit on the Blythe blouse in byzantine blue. I've been eyeing it for awhile and figured I'd jump on it with the 30% off. I try to wait for further markdowns, but then my size never seems to be available! Just my luck, I suppose. Anyway, tell me I won't be disappointed paying $57.39, plus taxes, plus shipping! :)

  15. Sorry for the double post (this thread wasn't around early this morning), but can anyone comment on the fit of the cafe capri in herringbone? I'm usually a 4 but managed to size down to a 2 in the only pair of cafe capris I have (the kaleidoscope ones), but I heard that they ran large. Should I stick with a 2 or take my usual 4? I'm also considering petite since I am on the shorter side... TIA!

    1. I would go with your regular size because they are lined. They were TTS for me and I also sized down in the sovereign plaisley cafe capri that have the same fit/texture of the kaleidoscope ones. HTH!

    2. I tried them on Friday and they run large. I am 4 and 4 were huge. I would size down a whole size. Kaleidoscope ones I sized down to 2 as well and they still stretched so much.

  16. Funny story...... I actually go to school in Lynchburg. The warehouse sales used to be the best kept secret but now the line to get in is a couple hours sometimes. I'm living in Chicago right now though.
Question for you, I have been eyeing the biennial satchel for a bit now. I noticed the 30% off but I am curious if you, clearly an expert, have seen online sales with anything more than the additional 30% off? It is obviously a good price for the bag but I am on a tight budget! Feel free to comment back on my blog

  17. Looks like no more free shipping, despite the fact that I signed up for factory first. The free shipping is not working at Jcrew.com for my account. Boo!

    1. You should call/chat with CS. The email they sent on Oct 11 ("It's here! Shop the new jcrewfactory.com now") clearly says at the top in all caps "Because you shop (and love) both JCrew and JCrew Factory enjoy free through November 1st."

Alexis posted the email a couple weeks ago.

    2. Aly, I placed a $30 order this morning for my sis and I got the free shipping. It doesn't show up in the cart but does so when you sign into your account, right before you make the payment.
I'm not sure if it makes any difference but my browser is Safari.

    3. Thank you! I called CS, I spoke with a very nice rep she didn't know why free shipping wasn't working, but she placed my order for me and waived shipping.

D*ska, thanks for the browser idea, I think I'll try safari instead of Firefox! I am sure between now and November 1, I'll want to place another order :)

    4. i tried chatting with cs and they would not apply the free shipping to the retail site. i know i had free shipping on my account before but i was told it would have only applied to factory purchases.

    6. Here's the response I rec'd fron CS, and I even included a screenshot from the link Rosie posted:
Thanks for reaching out regarding your order #4. I'm sorry for any confusion regarding the Factory First free shipping. The free shipping applies only when you are ordering from the Factory website, not to J.Crew. However, as a courtesy today, I did go ahead and reimburse you for the cost of shipping. A credit of $9.58 has been applied to your Visa. You should see this credit post to your account within 3-5 business days.

  18. I like how this promo is offered both online and at the stores. Sitting on this promo online till by at least tomorrow, Wednesday or Thursday, J.Crew might add new markdowns and popbacks to their sale section, they always do that.

OT - Has anyone seen the Tuxedo Pencil skirt IRL at your local B&M? I ask because since the material is made of wool/silk, same as the Collection Pencil Skirt in Abstract Floral that is currently on sale. I wanted to confirm if it really has the same feel and texture like the abstract skirt. And if you own the abstract skirt, does it have the tendency to wrinkle? Thanks for your response!

    1. I saw the tuxedo skirt and I did not like the fabric. It is shiny and stiff with no give. The skirt has lining but it goes only half way down.

    2. Thanks for the review, AJC. I was choosing between that and the No.2 Wool Pencil Skirt in Antique White. This solidifies my decision. :)

  20. I have a couple Factory coupon codes I won't be using:

20% off $125, promo code: FPCRBREJX

    30% off $200, promo code FPDZ3L35G

    Both are good until 11/21/12

  21. I ordered two tees for my daughter, I realized that last year's tees in a 4-5 don't fit her anymore. I am going to sit it out otherwise as I bought the whole electric plaid mini-collection (except for the skirt) last week in store (same price than online).

  22. I got the polka dot carbanet cashmere sweater and the Mona patent Mary Jane in grey, both at more than 50% off the original price. I am glad I held off buying them in September as new stuff goes on sale in blink of an eye at JCrew. This is insane.

Also called CS and was able to get price adjustment for the stadium mod cloth jacket in bright butternut. The sales price of $175 for a winter coat is a very good deal, but I am still not convinced I will keep it for good. I will decide when my 60 day return policy is up.

  25. I've hardly been looking at J Crew at all lately but decided to see what they've got for Fall. I spotted the Paisley Applique top, did my research and found out that most who blogged about it were unimpressed, but I decided to try it anyway despite being final sale. Fortunately I love it, so much that I ordered another this morning and plan to convert it to short sleeve or sleeveless so I can wear it under a cardi. The first one I'll leave as-is with the 3/4 sleeve. I'm hoping I'll eventually find it in my size in black as well. I wish it came in other colors too. I'm so wanting some luxurious tops that are neutral color-wise but at the same time not plain, if that makes sense.

    1. I was able to get the black Paisley Applique top this morning. I just wish it had come in other colors, I would have probably bought every single one. I can understand why other people might not like this top but I love it, at least in the ivory color I've received already. I love embroidered fabrics, and I appreciate that the top has 3/4 sleeves.

  26. The No. 2 pencil in vivid jade and poppy (was that one of the new colors last week?) are already on promo for $98 - 30%. I really don't need anymore pencil skirts but I ordered the vivid jade so I can see the color in person (it seems hard to capture accurately in photos). Thanks for JC for the free shipping - I wouldn't have placed the order otherwise...I've been holding out, waiting for the arrival of my rewards card.
