This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale
items at our
various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If
you are stopped
by a J.Crew store this past weekend
to see what's available (if
anything!) in the FALL sale, or to see some new FALL arrivals
{sigh!} in person, maybe you
might be willing to
share that with us in this post. In
particular, if you could share
with us a few of the noteworthy items
that are available, at what
prices, and potential sizes the
store is carrying (as well as the
store location)- that would be
fantastic!
Also, please
let us know if your local store
was/ is carrying an additional
percent off sale. Thanks in
advance!!! :)
My store is woefully understocked and lacking in the real goodies so I didn't bother but I purchased some Factory Minnies (Winnies?) and some jeans to try on. I have plans to head to the outlets within the next two weeks so I thought I'd just go ahead and try some stuff out.
ReplyDeleteI did indeed wander into the Durham, NC store and was so happy to find the polka-dot Naomi top, which I had been stalking the sale section for but never seemed to catch!
ReplyDeleteI think it runs large through the bust; I bought a 6 but probably could have worn a 4. It was $69.99 - 25% = $52.49. Would have loved to get it for less, but I think it will work out in cost-per-wear terms. There were 4 or 5 of them left, I think.
Also bought the Aegean Plaid perfect shirt, which had not even been on my radar. But on closer inspection it had a linen-like, wrinkly, almost suckered texture to the fabric that I loved. Very similar to a red/ivory plaid blouse from last year. Anyhoo it was down to $49.99 - 25% = $37.49; it's still FP at $78 online. Such a flattering fit, got a 6 and to me it fits TTS. There were MANY of these left, so call if you think you want one!
In the dressing room I wrapped myself up in the snake-print wool scarf and couldn't let it go. It was more substantial than I expected, and I paid more for it than I really wanted to ($39.99-25% = $29.99). Despite my best efforts and numerous video tutorials, I still looked like a homeless person when I looped it around my neck. Ah well. I will learn.
There was a size Small Port of Call sweatshirt in the sale section, I think it was marked $39.99 before discount. It took everything I had not to snap it up, but I already have one. trying to get better about hoarding backups of beloved items.
In other news, I just wanted to say I really miss posting here during the day. :( For some reason all of my posts go into the spam folder, so they don't show up. There's nothing Alexis can do about it, and I hate to take time to write a post no one will see. I'm sad that I can't contribute to the knowledge exchange much. :-/ But I'm out there reading and wishing I could join in!
Happy Monday, y'all.
oh, Elaine, I've missed you, and I'm so glad you are alive and well and shopping!
DeleteI found the tortoise-print Cece flats for $49.99 with 25% off sale items and an extra 15% with my student discount. The associate said I could stack the two offers. The price came out to be about $31.00 for a shoe that was originally $138.00!!
ReplyDeleteThat's AWESOME. Congrats!
DeleteThe squared starburst bracelet is $69.99 in-store and still regular price online. Review in this post. Other in-store vs online prices over in this post
ReplyDeleteOT: 25% off women's sweaters in-store and online. They've included a lot of cashmere sweaters that they usually hide for these sweater promos, so that's nice :)
ReplyDeleteI finally went to the concept store in Garden State Plaza in NJ! I've been dreaming about it for a while (Sick, I know) and in my dreams, I made it out to be a wonderful hidden mecca of amazing new arrivals at which I would spend obscene amounts of money. In reality, they definitely had some new pieces not available online yet, however I barely bought anything.
ReplyDeleteThe new catalogue was there, it just wasn't doing anything for me. The new tweed lady jackets (that are chanel inspired) could be amazing, however they already looked shopworn. The tweed looked ratty and frayed and I was really disappointed. There's also a new sweater with a woman on it (in the style of the critter sweaters), but if you look quickly, she could be mistaken for a christmas tree.
In the end, I left with a gingham flannel perfect shirt and a tippi that was on sale.
I pre-ordered a dress during the 25% off promo and it looks like it is ready to ship - my card was charged today! I assume this dress is part of Thursday's rollout.
ReplyDeleteI also visited the Union Square J. Crew this weekend. The sale section is overflowing. There was an entire stack of polka dot invitation clutches. Also, a ton of sale shoes including the Everlys in sweet orange.
Do you happen to know what the everly's were priced at? Thanks!
DeleteThey were $219.99 (same as online) + the 25% off sale in-store promo. HTH!
DeleteDoes anybody know if the stores are still having a % off sale?
ReplyDeleteF Street in DC still had it today.
DeleteCherry Creek store in Colorado was having 25% off today. If anyone is looking for the Origami Dress in Red they had some in various sizes for $109.00 plus 25% off. I also saw the collection snakeprint blouse, I believe $199.00 prior to 25% off. Nothing for me, I was just doing a return.
ReplyDeleteAnyone seen the collection jeweled collar sweater in xs or small?
ReplyDeleteKeep doing wwfify on them :). I was able to snag an xs for me and a small for my cousin in a day. They are out there! Don't get discouraged :)
DeleteHas anyone seen the Collection Crepe Shawl Blazer in Pink/Vintage Berry in their store? I am looking for a size 6 or 8.
ReplyDeleteJust scored the Boy Shirt in Snowcat for $18.
ReplyDelete$35 online, store did a store-price match down to $30, got the extra 25% off sale + 15% student discount and they comped shipping for me!
They have tons of sizes left online, and I think it's a really versatile print.
An online 'find'..the Booker boots are down to 169.99.. got them in spice and black...reg. 350.00..I hope they are nice..:)
