The hen sweater went on sale, but it was gone before i could get one:).
ReplyDeleteWhat price was the hen?
DeleteFrench Hen Sweater showed up briefly at $59.99; however there was no stock available. :(
DeleteThe hen sweater still FP in stores...:-(
DeleteCrossing fingers for some popback!
This morning the french hen sweater is showing full price :( i hate these price games!
DeleteDitto. I am so mad since my size popped up!
DeleteFYI I applied the "free shipping on shoes" promo to my order this morning and actually got free shipping on the whole thing, even though the total was <$175.
ReplyDeleteThe last time I tried this, it didn't work, but for some reason it did today. :)
There were a lot of markdowns this morning, including many of the recent promo-priced items. I've noted them in the second half of this post in the 'Previously on Promo' section.
ReplyDeleteAnyone else notice the polka dot Blythe marked down to 31.44 in stock in all sizes?? I pounced on that. I figure that price has got to be a mistake, right?
ReplyDeleteYes, it must be. 30%off comes right off it bringing it to $22. What a steal!
DeleteIt is 92.12 now:(.
DeleteIna: You have to put it in your cart to get the lower price.
DeleteJust snagged the Blythe Polka Dot for $22.01! Woo hoo!!!
DeleteMe too! Heck yes!
DeleteGot it! So glad I tried it on this weekend too!
DeleteMe too! Must be an error but one I am happy to cash in on!
DeleteI love you guys! Between this and the tip about shoes making the whole order ship free, I got the polka-dot blythe and the Seville wedges for $50 and free shipping!
DeleteI noticed that too and ordered it a couple hours ago. I was going to skip this promo (and this shirt) but I couldn't pass up that deal. I was even willing to pay shipping this one time!
DeleteHi Ladies, I was a little confused as to why some sizes (I'm a size 0 and 00) were marked at $89.99 and the others for $31.44. I got on chat and this is what the sales person told me:
Delete"I looked into this for you. Because this item is Final Sale, the larger sizes in this particular item were marked down due to low quantity"
I thought I would just share with you all.
I noticed that too (I am a 0) so I ordered a 2 for the low price, called cs and asked them to honor the price on the 0 and placed tge order on the phone, then cancelled my first order. It is definitively a glitch but they have to honor the lowest price. HTH!
DeleteI could not get through checkout fast enough! Woooo. So excited.
DeleteCS refused to honor the price on the 0 for me so I took a gamble and ordered the 2. I figure if it's a tad too big in the body (I have broad shoulders), I'll have my mom take in the body a bit.
DeleteYes! I just jumped on this too, in size 4. Couldn't believe my eyes. I'll gladly pay the shipping fee for something priced that low.
DeleteLet that be a lesson to J. Crew. Price final sale items to move and plenty of us will be more than happy to take them off your hands!
DeleteI've never tried on a Blythe, but I am willing to guess on sizing (sized up) for that price and be content to wear it with rolled sleeves.
Congrats to all the JCAs who snagged this great bargain!
I'm totally upset about this. The polka dot Blythe has been in my shopping bag for almost a week and as of yesterday, it was $128. I don't understand how overnight it went on final sale. WTF?! I'm really bitter about this because of course, I just looked after reading this and it's no longer in my cart or anywhere on the site. I can't spend 24-hours a day looking at their site but the part that makes me mad is that it wasn't even on sale at all yesterday.
DeleteReally wish I hadn't read this...UGH.
DeleteAgree, wish I hadn't read this....sooo disappointing (for me)
Delete@FFM:I didnt work for me even though it is in my cart.
ReplyDeleteina: Is it the size 0? That is still showing as $89.99 for me also, but the size 2 is the lower price. Can you wear the larger size? If not, then perhaps contact J.Crew and ask them to honor the lower price?
DeleteYes it is a 0.
DeleteI am not sure the 2 fits, because sometimes the 0 is large on me.
Thanks for your help!
You're welcome ina. I would suggest that you contact CS and ask them to honor the low price on the size 0 for you then.
DeleteI will ask them, hopefully they honor it.
DeleteThanks again FFM!
ina, see my comment above. Try to order another size and then call them and ask them to honor the price on the 0. That's what I did and it worked. Too good of a deal to pass up!
DeleteThey took it down, just as i was about to order it.
DeleteIt's not showing available for me :( did it sell out??
DeleteSo, I contacted J.Crew yesterday about the polka dot Blythe-- long story short, they had a technical glitch and that's why some people got it at such a marked down price. It wasn't even on sale, much less final sale. They took the product down for "maintenance" and it is now back up at the sale price of $89.99, but the promo works on it, further reducing it to about $62. I got it at that price-- that's about half off. I mean, it was lucky for people who got it for $22, but obviously, it was a big mistake.
DeleteIt was a price discrepancy , and that's why they pulled it from web to come back today for sale at $89.99.
DeleteLuckly I was able to get one , with a price match from warehouse, while the blouse was "sold out" online!
Any reviews of the crepe short sleeve blouse?
ReplyDeleteI just received it...its going back. I ordered the same size as I take in blouses and it pulled across the arms/chest area. I ordered the citron...not a flattering color either. Its fair quality but not over the top lovely quality. I am a size 12 or 10 and I think it would look better on petite women... it is fairly boxy, short but not see through....hope this helps. Carolyn from Vancouver
Deletepathos - The crepe short sleeve blouse is like a scaled down, cheaper-to-produce version of the FA08 Marcella blouse. Absolutely no help to you, but when off the Crewlade one can see how many designs are recycled.
DeleteBummer. Saved me the money.
DeleteI saw the nora calf hair flats are on promo for the black and white, I so wish it was the other color on promo! I have been looking at those since they showed up on the site!!!
ReplyDeleteSorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the brownish color nora flats were on sale but they are now sold out. I know because I kept looking for them in the black and white in my size and all they ever had was the brown color. :(
DeleteI looked at them all day and asked my VPS and she confirmed they were not on sale?! If you see a different price please let me know!!
DeleteAnyone been to the store to know if they are still offering any extra percentage off sale items?
ReplyDeleteYesterday my store had the 25% off of sale....
DeleteDitto. 25% off final sale in my store, and they let me stack with the student discount.
DeleteOh, of note: I actually asked an SA about the stacking of the student discount, and he said that as of this year it will always be possible to stack with clearance, extra % off clearance, promos on specific items...everything. The only thing the student discount can't stack with is some kind of "20% off your total purchase" type dealio.
DeleteCandy shop necklace in both colors on sale...the turqouise is prettier and less shocking than the fushia...more wearable. Carolyn from Vancouver
ReplyDeleteWill store price match the online price even though it's sold out online? I noticed the colorblock tippi went on sale on the website but it sold out before I could order it and was hopping to track it down in store.
ReplyDeleteYvonne - If the store pulls up the online item and it's sold out, it won't show the sale price. They are less inclined to give the sale price since they can't verify it. I'm not sure if customer service can see & verify the online markdown price if the b&m calls them. I would call cs to see if they show the sale price and if they do, then work with the store.
DeleteYvonne,
DeleteMine will but it's a pain. If it doesn't show up online because it's sold out then they need to call. They NEVER want to call but I always tell them that they need to. Then you'll get the price. :)
Yvonne - My store just started using iPads to look up orders and such and they were able to find the sale price of the Teddie Dress in Blue for me and honor it, even though it wasn't on the customer online site. So definitely ask your store/VPS.
DeleteThank you all for your responses. My sister found one in my size at her local store and she was able to get the price match!
DeleteOrdered the Blythe as well!! Also the Sterling in Maple. Both good deals.
ReplyDeleteIs it just me or did nearly everything go on final sale today? It's crazy. I restrained myself and just got the polka dotted blythe.
ReplyDeleteIt's not just you. I would have loved to try the collection crepe shawl collar jacket, but I can't risk that much on a FS item. Ordered the schoolboy in festival in blue instead, not FS. Also chatted with a rep to get the polka dot Blythe in a 0, she happily applied the lower price!
DeleteI got the polka dotted blythe (such a steal)! Also snagged a mini-gingham perfect shirt in picnic blue, herringbone cafe capri in grey (hope to match with my blythe), and the booker boots in estate brown. Big purchase on my end, but I'm pretty sure I made out like a champ.
ReplyDeleteUgh. The blythe blouse sold out JUST as I was ordering it...
ReplyDeleteEither that or they took it off after noticing the price. Each size just disappeared one by one as I was adding to my bag.
DeleteIt's not sold out- the price was a mistake.
DeleteI think I might just implode from impatience waitng for the toni tassel loafers in the black and tan to pop back in sz 11!
ReplyDeleteI get it! They were sold out in 7 and 7.5, too, so I ordered the champagne ones. . . I never saw anything as cute, anywhere, at any price.
Deletefidele, I know! It's almost unfair how cute they are.
DeleteI'd love to hear how you like the champagne ones. Depending on how much I like the black & tan ones (if they ever pop back in my size), the champagne could be a great option to have too.
Same here! I thought about taking my chances on the 12 (I am a snug 11) but at final sale I just can't risk it.
DeleteI tried the champagne and the colorway was just off to me. Too kitschy, maybe. It's already kind of a busy shoe for me, so I wanted the classic black/cognac colorway.
I had to join this conversation - I own the champagne ones. I love the way they look in person. I took a chance on them, because I wanted the classic look of the cognac/black colorway. I definitely find myself throwing them into classic outfits even though the color combination is not so classic.
DeleteThey popped back in Adobe, hurry!
DeleteI missed them! I could pull my hair out I'm so mad.
DeleteDid you get them, Anne?
I may just pull the trigger on the cashmere bateau sweater in the caramel ivory. It would be a little over $100 with the % off (which also means no NY sales tax!). Any thoughts on it?
ReplyDeleteI have it and I love it - I took my usual size S and I've found myself reaching for it multiple times. It's a great fall sweater. I haven't experienced any pilling (yet). HTH!
DeleteInboxImpulse - If you go to this post on my blog & keyword search cashmere bateau, you'll see links to 3 blogger reviews. I don't have pics, but have tried it. My usual size S fit and it's very soft, cozy. Didn't like that the black/creme color is so dark. The creme is not as depicted online. It's a dark tan.
DeleteOf course nothing in my cart went on sale today... and everything I already bought IS on sale now. Just kicked myself, owch :(
ReplyDeleteI have been waiting for the Tall Cafe Capri in Wool in Dark Saffron to drop in price and it did so I bit.
ReplyDeleteMmmmm, just placed an order yesterday and another one last week, plus bought a couple of things in store. Now I feel silly for not having waited! Blythe sold out as I was checking out!
ReplyDeleteThe polka dotted blythe is my first blythe. I have never even tried one on. I hope my normal size of 6 works. Oh who cares, it was $22! I will make it work!
ReplyDeleteI ordered a 6 too though I am between a 4 and a 6. I thought about trying to size down but I have broad shoulders so wanted to err on the slightly large size. IMO a silk blouse is more forgiving as it looks good slouchy.
DeleteJCrewJD - I think you'll be fine. It's my first Blythe too and I love it. I normally get an 8 in any type of button down but 6 was the only size my store had left so I got it. It fits well and doesn't bother me at all in the shoulders.
DeleteThank you so much, audreybella! I feel better now. I am in the same boat... an 8 is usually better on me especially in the chestal region. So glad to hear the 6 blythe should work out for me!
DeleteDarn, I should have sized down!
DeleteExtra 25% at madewell site. Free shipping/return on all orders. NOT final sale :D
ReplyDeleteAyone know what price the Colorblock Stripe Tippi (11809) showed up for in the final sale section? It's sold out online now but I know my store has it. Want to know what I'm setting myself up for since I've wanted this sweater since I first saw it but thought it was seriously overpriced. TIA!
ReplyDeleteIt was $59 before discount if I am not wrong
DeleteIf someone sees it in a small, would you please let me know.
Deleteusa_annie@yahoo.com
TIA
Thank you, Ema! I'll pick it up on Saturday; hope they honor the online sale price.
DeleteAccording to my VPS the sale price is $69.99
DeleteYvonne, it is showing up in the sale section this morning for that price. Of course there is no inventory! It's just there to taunt us - ha ha ha, on sale but you can't have it!! :)
DeleteI bit on the Madewell sale because I love the Tagalong tanks, especially with the free shipping, but have successfully shoved the Crewlade to the back of the fridge.
ReplyDeleteI'm a little annoyed that the Tippi cardigan popped back in burgundy. I wanted that color in the 25% off everything sale (I would have paid full price) but it was completely sold out, so I bought the Tippi crewneck. I've worn it so I can't return it and I don't need two sweaters in the exact same color, grr.
ReplyDeleteSame goes for the retro jade. Bought the crewneck, now the cardigan is a great price.
Anne - FWIW, I don't like the sleeves on the Tippi cardi. They're too loose in my regular size S. I have the cardi & the crewneck in burgundy. I've only worn the cardi once. Not a big fan of it. Love & prefer the crewnecks.
DeleteI know some have been looking for the Swiss dot tippi, my VPS found one for me and they are on sale in store for 99.99, and she applied the 30% off to my order! Just thought I would let anyone know who has been looking :)
ReplyDeleteCould someone let me know how the quality of the booker boots are? I would like the cognac color but concerned about the fit.
ReplyDeleteThanks,
Tish
Tish, I'm a big fan of the Booker Boots!
DeleteI would say that they fit TTS. I usually take a 7.5 in most brands, but an 8 in J Crew shoes (Mona, Cece). I ordered the 8 and they are a little big (but I decided to keep them rather than exchanging for a 7.5 because this way I can wear them with thick socks - I suspect that a 7.5 would have fit fine, though). I was very nervous because my feet are on the wider side, and that means that many J Crew shoes run too narrow for me to wear comfortably. Not so for the Booker boots. I wouldn't say that they run wide, but they definitely do not run narrow. I also ordered the extended calf version because I have very muscular calves and am pleased to report that they stretched a bit with wear so that they now fit easily over my jeans (when they first arrived, they were snug even with just tights). They were comfortable for me right out of the box, and I've been basically living in them since they arrived.
The cognac color is beautiful -- it seems to go with nearly everything. I also bought the grey when they went on deep discount and have been surprised at how versatile they are.
Overall, the leather is soft (but not so soft that it gets easily scratched), and the construction is good. Go for it!
Tish, I have a review of the Booker boots from last year. They fit TTS in the foot. I would take advantage of the free shipping now in case you needed to try them on.
DeleteI saw the Blythe polka dot blouse this morning and could hardly believe by eyes...but I passed on it as I can't justify yet another silk blouse in my closet. I am really clamping down on the clothes shopping. I just picked up the sparkle row cami in mint and the Sterling skirt in crimson maple - both are not final sale, thank goodness.
ReplyDeleteI have the Sterling in CM in my cart too.
DeleteI'm tired of the same old sale stuff. I want to see the holiday rollout!
ReplyDeleteI have a question about final sale. I called CS to try to find a pair of shoes, my size isn't available but she said she would order the next size up for me and let me return them since I'm not sure about the fit. She said several times that she was inputting that they are returnable, but I got the email confirmation and it still says final sale underneath the shoes. Is this the way it works and I will be able to return if they don't fit? Or should I try to cancel the order?
ReplyDeleteHi Anne. Yes, that is how it works. Your email confirmation and invoice will still be marked final sale. However, if you need to return the shoes, it will be noted on your account that the return is allowed.
DeleteThank you!
DeleteYou're welcome! :)

DeleteDid anyone visit a B&M today? Is it 30 or 25% off? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteRosie - I spoke w/a store this morning and they told me an addtl 25% off sale items.
Deletethanks, Gigi!
DeleteBit on the blue burgandy red argyle Tippi, but still asking myself if it's worth the $56 sale price. I know it's wool, but the solid Tippis look so "meh" on me..I'm hoping the argyle pattern will punch it up a bit.
ReplyDeleteI purchased the pleated blouson dress for $67 day before yesterday with the 25% off since it wasn't final sale and the color is so pretty. I'm feeling a little better that both items are returnable if they don't work out.
OT: If anyone is in a "gambling mood" (haha) yoox.com is having their sample sale through Friday (10/13), I think. They have some crazy stuff, but they also have some gems (particularly scarves and denim). I've never ordered from them before, so I don't know how good/terrible their final sale is. Free shipping with code: RMNFSS through retail me not. Also, ebates is giving 3.5% for them as well..
Of course all these great bargains occur on the one morning I have to go in to work early and have no chance to read JCA. So bummed but hope everything ships for everyone and that they find kors Blythes in the warehouse!
ReplyDeleteDarn autocorrect ! More Blythes.
DeleteCaved today and bought the zigzag sequin dress in store. Came to $104.99 with the extra 25% off, and I have an out-of-town wedding to go to the weekend after next so I'm planning to wear it to dinner the evening before. Now I'm just hoping and praying that the Rosalind dress I ordered for the actual wedding will fit! It wasn't marked final sale, however it's now the 7th dress I'm trying for this event and if it doesn't work I may be going naked! (Kicking myself for ordering black instead of navy though - just got a pair of amazing nude patent pumps that would've been so hot with navy.)
ReplyDeleteI am with you, Shopping Celle! I was too busy to check first thing this a.m., and I am kicking myself about missing that deal on the Blythe. ARGH!!
ReplyDeleteMy store still had 25% off, but my PS honored the 30% off. I think if you ask, they likely will match it. The new items marked down this morning were not marked down in my store yet. I took home the multicolor tweed skirt, that came down to $35 with the 30% off. It's really cute and TTS.
ReplyDeleteI picked up that skirt this weekend and would love to see some outfit ideas.
DeleteDoes anyone know if the oversize merino pocket sweater (95622) went on sale in stores, and if so, which colors? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteIt was still full price yesterday. I love this sweater.
DeleteI can't believe so many items that I have been looking at are now on sales.
ReplyDeleteI bought:
Everlys heels in foulard print
Valentina patents pumps in dusty jade
I am debating whether to get Mona two tone patent Mary Jane as well but they are at final sale. They are cute but my boyfriend said they look like bowling shoes....
I went to my local store this afternoon and they are still offering 25% off sale. I didn't even think to ask if they would honor the online 30% off--it seems as though most things in store are cheaper than online anyway and I'm not one to ask for special exceptions, just don't have it in me! I got the navy tweed jacket and it's still $89.99 online but was $69.99 in store.
ReplyDeleteWas someone looking for the swiss dot Tippi in size XL? I can't find the post now!
ReplyDeleteHas anyone tried the silk leopard dress, item # 68391? Thanks in advance!
ReplyDeleteMy mom did. She returned it because of the length, thinking it looked a little dowdy. I thought if she had it hemmed it would have been great with a belt. She's 5'5 and it hit her midway down the calves. Nice silk, wasn't see-through inspite of the light color. Not sure if that helps at all, I thought it was very nice! Very summery though.
DeleteI tried it in store this summer...dowdy is the correct word for it. Sorry. But it is a big mistake on M ickeys part for allowing this one.
DeleteBindi - You can see the leopard dress on Whitney.
DeleteI tried it long time ago. Picture HERE and if you scroll down there is a link to more pictures from Flickr.
DeleteAny other JCA's get an email from their local store? I just received one from mine, Tyson's galleria, for 20% off my next in-store purchase on my JCrew card. Text in part reads "after all, we did promise you perks..."
ReplyDeleteOffer expires Oct 18 and is not valid w/other promotions. I should mention there is no offer code
I'm happy they are recognizing cardholders, but with the sale promo right now and the high full prices, I'm not sure if I will use this. I also have the coupon from the new cards they just sent out, which expires 11/18.
Shopalot - YES! I am looking for the Tippi in Swiss Dot in an XL. If you have any leads, I would greatly appreciate them. You can reply to me here or email me at cwolf715 (at) aol (dot) com. Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteWent to Boca Raton (FL) store today. Blythe blouse in byzantine blue is now on sale for $69.99, still $110 online. Saw one Invitation clutch in colorblock blue/green $39.99. Several Tillary Purse (blue and pink) $59.99 and several $19.99 scarves including polka dot (burgundy with pink dots). Prices before 25% off.
ReplyDeleteSara, I sent you an email. I hope you get your sweater!
ReplyDeleteI got your email & I'll call ASAP! Thanks so much!
DeleteHas anyone tried the Wintress puffer? I got the navy during the outerwear sale last week for around $139. I generally like it and need a replacement long puffer, but find the bottom half flares out a little too much. It lays nice and flat on the model (of course). I can't tell if it's a sizing issue, although I wouldn't want to size down as I think the sleeves will be too short/tight.
ReplyDeleteI love mine-- and have had it almost a year. Have not seen or tried this season's model but how different could it be? That said, I haven't noticed any flare.
DeleteI purchased it in x-small petite and I liked it over all but I did have a little to much room at the hips and the sleeves were to short soni sent back for the xx- small regular. I am hoping it will work
ReplyDeleteIf anyone decides against their blythe in dot that they were able to get at such a steal yesterday, please let me know. It popped up online this morning in a 0 and CS wouldn't honor the price and they say in inventory the size 2 is showing up $89 :(.
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know if the Polka Dot Tippi in Carbon Sandstone was marked down in stores today? They wouldn't honor the online price for me when I asked in store last weekend. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteAnnie, that sweater was not marked down at the store I visited on Wednesday.
DeleteThanks!
DeleteHas anyone tried on the collection shawl collar jacket? I love the way it looks, but am skittish on FS. Would love to know if it is TTS - any any other feedback you may have? Thanks.
ReplyDeleteIf anyone sees the Blythe blouse in the polka dot at their store in a size 12, please let me know! My size is sold out online and all my store had left was a 10. lolalovesfrank@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteThank you!
Blythe has been located! thank you, fellow JCA for the tip :)
ReplyDeleteJust curious-did they honor yesterday's online price fir you? That would be awesome!
DeleteWendy- They honored yesterday, while the price was $31.49 online, but today that it is on sale for $89 I'm not sure they will do it :-(
DeleteHas anyone received a shipping confirmation of an order placed yesterday morning that includes the polka dot Blythe priced at 22.01? I am worried I'm going to receive the "we wish we had enough" blah blah blah e-mail.
ReplyDeleteI know! My status still says "released". Let's keep our fingers crossed!
DeleteJust got shipping notification on my polka dot blythe order from yesterday. Thank goodness it wasn't too good to be true!
DeleteI just got my shipping notification on mine too!
DeleteIt is pretty obvious that it was a mistake on the website to offer it at the low price... so once they realized it, they pulled it... I don't believe it sold out yesterday. I think the $89.99 price we saw on the size 0 was supposed to be the sale price for all sizes, which it is now showing today. I am just glad some of us were able to snag it for the $22 price... because that is just awesome and I frankly would never pay more than $40 anyway for a silk blouse of this level of quality.
DeleteCompletely agree with J.CrewJD above. Also just got my shipment notification. I have a navy Blythe from Spring 2011 (I think) and I dry clean it every time, as instructed, and there are holes forming on the back! Anyone else had issues like this with the Blythe?
DeleteThe chemicals used at the dry cleaner are probably deteriorating the fabric. Also, it's not necessary to dry clean the top after each wear. Try handwashing at home--there are a lot of useful tips for taking care of silk in many threads throughout the blog.
DeleteAnn - I had this happen on a Blythe at the shoulder seam, which is why I don't buy Blythes anymore (unless they're $22.01!). I've started buying Equipment Brett shirts now instead whenever I get Piperlime coupon codes and BR rewards coupons.
DeleteI ordered the polka dot yesterday and just got shipment notification.
DeleteI agree that silk really should be hand washed if possible (I would be weary of hand washing prints though for fear of color bleed). I hand wash my solid blythes in cold water with baby shampoo. I then empty the sink water, fill with clean cold water and a bit of white vinegar, which helps the silk stay shiny. Swish, then rinse with just cold water.
The occasional dry clean is ok, but I would try to get as much wear in between as possible. I have not had any hole issues, yet ( knock on wood!)
HTH!
Good silk and a good dry cleaner are not incompatible. I prefer the cleaner's careful spot removal and hand-steaming to ironing at home. But I don't buy the Blythes because I don't like the little gathers under the shoulders.
DeleteIf anyone wants a lead on Cece tortoise ballet flats, marked $49.99 in store, size 8, let me know! Also, giraffe necklace, martina patents in leopard, size 8 and others, colorblock edie grands in gray. crowrose at aol dot com
ReplyDeletehi all! i would love any leads to track down a houndstooth sweatshirt in sz 0 so beautifully reviewed by a jca on another page as well as any gingham shirts on sale in sz 0 or 00 other than in pink and red which ive been wearing under all my sweaters since it got cold in nyc. many thanks!
ReplyDeletefor those in nyc, the prince st store had some cece tortoise flats for 49.99 in sz 6, double serge no2s in berry pink in sz 0,2,6, a ton of sparkle row camis in navy and champagne for 79.99 in all sizes, and polka dot nicky camis in most sizes also for 79.99. i also remember seeing a lot of honeycomb sweater jackets and schoolboys in blue in sz 0,2,8ish for the online price. im going to check out the 5th ave store today and will report back :)
ReplyDeleteI too would love some help tracking down a houndstooth sweatshirt in a S (4 or 6) since it's sold out online and CS won't find it for me because it's on sale. If anyone sees one in their local store please lmk!! thanks!
ReplyDeleteI just noticed gap has a version. Gap pretty much has ripped off every style of JCrew this year.
DeleteI saw that yesterday as well! Gonna check it out at gap in person this weekend
DeleteIf anyone's still trying to get a deal on a Blythe in Polka Dot there were 3 size 2's at Providence Place, RI store today.
ReplyDeleteDo you know the price of the blythes? I wonder if they would honor the $22
DeleteThey were still marked full price in store. I'm sure they would honor at least the $89.99 from online. If someone had a screen shot of the $33 price that would work too. I, embarrassingly, did that once.
DeleteIt was a technical glitch. Why would they honor a mistake price? I think it's a bit crazy to keep trying to capitalize on a two-day old mistake and if I were J.Crew, I wouldn't honor that price, even for the people who were able to get an order through. It's a bit like stealing, honestly.
DeleteIt's nothing like stealing. If they are honoring the orders, that's their choice--they could cancel them. If they honor the price after the fact, again, their choice.
DeleteHas anyone seen the jeweled elephant necklace in store? Just the single strand that retailed for $68
ReplyDeleteWoo hoo! My Blythe for $22.01 just shipped...whew! With the neon coral convertable bag! Cannot wait!
ReplyDeleteMine shipped too, it should be here today!
DeleteMine shipped too. It's back on the final sale site at a Canadian price of $108. Muhuhahaha we win this time j.crew!
DeleteNot very fair. I don't think JC should be honoring that as it was a malfunction on their site. We didn't all "win," and it's kind of unethical the way it was all handled.
DeleteSo you don't think any of us should have gotten it, or you think they should honor the lower price now? I'm not sure I agree that it was "unethical" on anyone's part
DeleteAlthough I do apologize...it probably wasn't very nice of me to gloat like that. I really meant that j.crew plays pricing games CONSTANTLY and it's nice to be on the right side of one for once.
DeleteIt was a pricing error that was quickly corrected, and I believe that if a retailer makes a mistake like the blythe pricing error that is in favor of a customer, they should not later take away the benefit that the customer received from the mistake. That just seems like bad business to me! Then again, I don't think it is right to ask for the $32 price after the fact. It was a mistake, and now it is fixed, the end.
DeleteRight, I think that if you stumble upon their mistake, then that is your good fortune but to expect them to honor the mistaken price forever is wrong. I would be happy/feel lucky if I'd stumbled on the price by accident and they went ahead and honored it, but I'm not sure that they necessarily had to do it. From an ethical standpoint, what I meant was that it is a bit like stealing, to capitalize on a mistake like that. The first few people who got the deal were honestly lucky-- the people who are now trying to score the fleetingly low price are not so upstanding, IMO.
DeleteIf anyone sees the collection jewel collar sweater in xs s please let me know!
ReplyDeleteI bit and picked up the Sterling skirt in the crimson maple. This'll be my first Sterling, added to my large collection of JC pencil skirts. Love the price, love the colour, hope the fit is as good on me as the reviews from other JCAs.
ReplyDeleteHave you all found that you take the same size in the No.2 pencil and Sterling skirts?
Haven't tried the Sterling myself, but I know App gal did a pretty solid review on it awhile back.

Deletefarmgirlsue - I take a 4 in the pencil and 8P in the Sterling. A 6 is similar to 8P, so you might end up needing to size up one on the Sterling. It has a smaller waist & sits higher up. Last year's version in this post, AppGal's review is here (this year's version).
