Sought & Found: Did you visit J.Crew this {past} Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the FALL sale, or to see some new FALL arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

  3. Shouldn't the dreaded final sale be ending soon? After all, we are within range of holiday shopping...

  5. My store was running an extra 25% off sale not 30%. It must have been kill price weekend though. My mum and I peeked in and she really lucked out, finding white bootcut jeans for $7.99 ($9.99-20% cardholder reward coupon). She picked up all four pairs on the rack (lol), the extras going to my aunt and cousin. She's still a little ticked that she paid full price for them at the beginning of summer. She also picked up a couple of Naomi tops at $20.99 a pop ($34.99 - 25% off sale & -20% coupon) and bermuda shorts for 5.99 ($9.99 -25% -20%).

I picked up two pairs of the Colored toothpick denim in Shallow Sea and Dark Poppy for $23.99 each ($39.99 -25% -20%) and Matchstick cords in Sweet Lemon for 33.01 (54.99 -25% -20%) that still show up as full price online.

All in all, a great haul.

I only had time to call a couple of stores in search of the Martina calf hair wedges but came up empty. If the sale is still ongoing in-store I will try a couple more tomorrow.

    1. Why don't you go to the store and place a Blue Martini (formerly the red phone) order for them? It should come up in their system as on sale for the $159.99 someone mentioned, right?

    2. D*ska, are you in the US or Canada? What store?

    3. gigi, my local store is in Syracuse, New York at the Destiny USA mall. The zip code 13290 if you need it.

cmg, I definitely thought of doing that but the store was a little busy at the time and my mum and I had very little time to kill. I'm glad I didn't though because buying through the Blue Martini yesterday would have made the shoes final sale. I much prefer buying it for a little more and it not being final sale especially since I wasn't quite sure of my size, but taking a little leap of faith. J. Crew's sizing games are almost as bad as their pricing ones. I ending up ordering my smaller and larger size online this morning. I took a 7.5 in the leopard print calf hair ones from last season but the same size in the suede ones are too snug.

  6. The banner on the jcrew.com page says 30% off final sale but the sale page no longer says final sale and when I added a few items from the sale section to my cart they did not say final sale....don't know if it is an update glitch or if final sale might be over...not getting my hopes up but curious????

    1. I'm super curious too, Genny. I have some final sale items in my cart that I would definitely pull the trigger on it they were no longer final sale. Does anyone know for sure?

    2. I would just order the items right now. I refreshed my cart & see one item on final sale and one sale item *not* on final sale. When I went to look at the cart, the chat window popped up so I asked if final sale is over. The rep said, I'm sad to say that there are still a few items that are final sale. If they're final sale it would be indicated in your shopping bag in red letters.

In my experience, if I've ordered and it doesn't say final sale on the final screen, then there is no asterisk on the invoice and the items are returnable. I did have a store SA try to tell me she couldn't return something because the price ended in .99, but I pointed out that there was no final sale asterisk. She was new and ended up returning it. I say order before everyone wakes up and starts ordering. lol

    3. Thanks Gigi, I actually just did the same thing. I asked the rep when the pop-up chat window appeared and got basically the same response, so I went ahead and ordered the goodies that I wanted. Just to be on the safe side I took a screen grab of the chat window and shopping cart, lol.

  8. I'm so glad I check this blog in the mornings! I ordered a dress and a shirt from the sale section on Saturday night and they haven't shipped yet, so I called and asked CS for a price adjustment to show the new 30% off promo. He took care of it right away :)

  9. Can anyone comment on the fit of the cafe capri in herringbone? I'm usually a 4 but managed to size down to a 2 in the only pair of cafe capris I have (the kaleidoscope ones), but I heard that they ran large. Should I stick with a 2 or take my usual 4? I'm also considering petite since I am on the shorter side... TIA!

    1. Rebekah - I wear 4 or 6 in the capris. I've tried both sizes in herringbone and took the 4. You might check for measurements. The P rise doesn't vary too much from regular, but it could make a difference in fit. HTH

  10. Rebekah, I just bought the pink ones in the store today and took my normal cafe capri size. HTH

  11. OT question for bloggers. Do you use an offline editor to draft posts? If so, what one...?

    1. Hmm, Gigi, I wish I knew what that question meant. LOL Will you teach me? ;D

    2. Suzy - Usually you're logged into the Internet, using Blogger to draft your posts. If you want the capability to draft blog posts without being connected to the Internet, you can use an offline editor. There are various ones, incl Live Writer, but I haven't had a lot of luck w/the ones I've found so far.

      :)
