In Stores: Additional 25% Off Final Sale

"Thanks!" to KnitYarns (in this post) who shared the following news:
OT- Just got back from my local J Crew and they were running 25% off of sale- FS. They had new markdowns- the Colorblock top $138.00 online is 29.99 in store. The Polka dot sleeveless cami is $69.99, and the collection sequin burgundy and navy cami is on sale too. The GSP store had the new roll out. Yummy. A lovely new Polka dot silk, lined cami, in nay with a gently pleated collar was gorgeous- $110- I believe. Many new printed capris, and even printed cords. My other local store did not have the new pieces out yet.
Oh yeah, another promotion! It is nice to know that J.Crew is offering an additional 25% off their Final Sale merchandise in stores. Some prices can be quite tempting. (Especially since some pieces are marked lower in stores than online.)

Will you be taking advantage of this promo at J.Crew? Did you pick up an item or two? Please share! :)

  1. Sort of unrelated: RueLaLa has $100 gift certificates for The Laundress' online shop for $50. I'd been interested in the cashmere wash and sweater comb but didn't want to pay that much through JCrew. If anyone is looking for an invite to RLL - http://www.ruelala.com/invite/frugalprepster.

  2. If anyone is interested, I have a couple of those 20% off with $150 purchase or more at Jcrew.com coupons that was included in my mail orders. Too many for me to use up so I thought I'd share the wealth. :) The coupons expire end of this month. Email me at flipgirl01@gmail.com and I'll send you the promo code.

    2) Buy two get one free Donna Karen hosiery

If interested, email me at ika.irsan@gmail.com

    Thanks

  4. Probably will not be taking advantage of this sale but you never know, since I now will have to visit my local B&M to return at least one of the items I ordered last week...If I see something worth risking final sale, I may bite.

  7. Do any of you savvy JCA have any sizing/quality comments on the houndstooth sweatshirt? Looks lovely but I don't want to get stuck with it since it has moved to Final Sale. I wear an XXS in Tippis and Jackies. Any help appreciated!

    1. I wear either a xs or s in tops at Jcrew. I got a small in the black/white houndstooth sweatshirt. I wear a small in the wool tippis and xs in the linen tippis. Xs wool tippis fit me fine but In the winter I like a little room to later a blouse without feeling that the arms are binding. This sweatshirt fits much slimmer than the more slouchy and casual port of call sweatshirt. For me the larger of my 2 Jcrew sizes worked best as I will wear over a blouse. HTH.

  8. I picked up the no.2 pencil skirt in multicolor tweed which was marked down to $49.99 and got the additional 25% off on top of that.

I went in to exchange the schoolboy blazer I ordered during the 25% off promo. I ordered the pearl grey online instead of the grey wool herringbone schoolboy (I've never seen the grey online). They were nice enough to give me the 25% off on the grey wool herringbone one when I exchanged the other one.

  9. My best find was the Invitation Clutch in Colorblack marked down to $39.99...before the extra 25% off. Wouldn't have even considered this piece at $158 full price, but for $30, I will put it to good use!

  12. I saw this post at 6 pm and I live in Denver. Thats right, middle of the presidential debate, they had the highway and main roads to both j crews blocked. I MADE it, and grabbed the last pink size 00 wool pencil skirt. I think it was $56 after the percent off. Im excited, I need wool skirts that fit and are modest!

    1. Hi Andrea - only certain colors are on sale in-store. I don't know the color names but Gigi's blog has the info. Her blog is listed on the right side - Gigi's Gone Shopping. I hope this helps

    2. @Lisa - Thank you :)

      @Andrea - I have:

celestial blue, classic pink & kelly green are $49.99 in-store as of 9/7

crushed grape & turquoise pool marked $44.99 in-store on 9/19

The prices have been weird. They're marked $49.99 or $44.99. They should've just made the sale colors all one price. And some were sale, but ringing regular price. Watch the electronic pad if there's one on your side of the register, while they're ringing you up.

  18. Lots of selected color markdowns. I.e. shallow sea now $69.99 in the toothpick garment dyed jeans, along w/other colors that have been $69.99 for a couple weeks at least. The neon persimmon color, which they show styled in the window w/the jeweled sweatshirt, are still regular price online, have been $69.99 in-store for a couple weeks.

Matchstick cords are $54.99 in sweet lemon.

In-store Price Notes rounded up in this post.

  19. I snagged the denim shorts mentioned above at 19.99 pre 25% off - 14.99 for denim shorts? When it's still 80ish degrees in Texas? Couldn't be happier.

They also had the navy blue with grey peter pan collar shirt (http://www.jcrew.com/womens_feature/NewArrivals/sweaters/PRDOVR~15559/99102826046/ENE~1+2+3+22+4294967294+20~~~0~90~all~mode+matchallany~~~~~peter%20pan/15559.jsp) on sale that I was tempted to get and some oxford popovers for $39.99 pre 25% off in blue & green (can't find online).

Houston didn't have many scarves, jewelry pieces or any belts that I could see though. Did anyone have better luck?

    1. For those interested, the oxford popover at $39.99 is this one. It's a heavier weight, closer to a broadcloth. I've only noticed the lighter blue color like in the online pic. It's not that pale, though. It's like dusty shale, if you recall that color.

The other popover is the ink-dip popover. It's lighter in weight. Look for a bright turquoise and bright green. $24.99. Try this on if you can because I found this to run one size small, as did my mom.

    2. The Oxford cloth popover came in aqua and light blue. I have the light blue and it reminds me of what I assoc with men's button down. I love this shirt!

  20. Grabbed the workwear shirtdress, a perfect fit tank in bright plum (it had like ruffles or petals on the front, couldn't find it on the website), and the colorblock envelope clutch in pink/orange. Almost bit on the polka dot Natasha top but held off.

I didn't have much time (on my lunch hour) but noticed some new scarves/sweaters--I think bows might be the new dots for this rollout.

  21. if anyone ever sees the collection sequin bow pants marked down (drastically of course :/) please let me know!

  22. The Sandwashed Silk Tee is marked down to $34.99 and the silk zebra top to just $29.99 - and then take the 25% off. Hello fall work wear! :)
