Crewcuts: The Back-To-School List

Crewcuts sent an email announcing their "back to school list" for boys and girls. Those girls are super cute! I would wear each of those "looks" myself! :) They are just timeless!

Also, the additional 20% off final sale is going on now through Sunday.

  1. The Crew Cuts looks are cute, but some are just a little too grown up for my taste. I can envision so many of these outfits on myself. I want my girls to look cute and neat, but not necessarily fashionable. In addition, the prices are too much for kids' clothes. The way my kids beat up their clothes and grow out of them so quickly, I can't justify those prices for everyday items. Yes, perhaps for special occasions, but not for regular school clothes. I sound a little old-fashioned, but I just don't think that little girls need cashmere cardigans. I'll stick to Old Navy and Land's End for my kids' clothes.

  2. Courtney: I totally hear you about the prices! Especially since kids grow so quickly out of clothes.

However, those clothes are a-d-o-r-a-b-l-e! I said this before, but I would love to see some (okay most) of the girls clothes made for women. ;)

  3. I know a lot of people who shop at J.Crew for their kids. Trouble is, they grow out of them quickly. Considering the prices, it's not worthwhile.

That final sale has been ransacked. There's basically nothing left in menswear. I saw (37) different kinds of shirts on sale the first time I visited. About three hours later, that number dwindled to (7). Beasts . . .

  4. I also got this email but I won't be purchasing anything...the boys' clothes just aren't that great, IMO...now the girls' clothes are a COMPLETELY different story...I LOVE THEM! Alexis, I wish some of them came in Womens' sizes, as well. :)

Btw...school started here on August 18th, so this email is really late for us. Most people here have already done their back to school shopping.

  5. Geoff: I know what you mean about the final sale! ;) Hopefully it will be replenished on Monday (once the "final sale" is over). :)

FFM: I agree with you the boys clothes are nice, but can be substituted easily with other (lesser expensive) brands. The girls clothes are beautiful though. :)

  6. My daugher can get two seasons wear out of her crewcuts so it is worth it for me to buy them for her! She is 7 now and the 6-7 size is still plenty big on her. She is very thin and doesn't take up much room in the tops. The bottoms don't last quite as long but we take them to a seamstress or my mom's:) and have them made into cropped pants or shorts b/c the waist fits just fine still and is adjustable on most items!

  7. anon @ 2:04 - that's a terrific idea to have the pants made into capris or shorts. My niece is super tall for her age, but has a skinny waist, so she outgrows the length before she outgrows the waist. I will definitely pass the idea on to my sister.
