The BR closest to where I live-- in Georgetown (DC)-- was offering 30% off EVERYTHING in the store yesterday. Insanity! Also, as many others posted here, my local J.Crew was offering 40% off of final sale items... I can't tell you how many foreign tourists I saw at both stores, running around, exclaiming excitedly about how "cheap" everything was. I guess it is, if you're thinking in Euros! Actually, there were some tremendously good deals to be had, depending on one's taste. For example, I purchased the Whisper Lamé Slim Shirt in dark gold for $18-- that's $92 off the original retail price! But I'm not 100% sure how I feel about it yet-- I'd like to wear it to work, with my lovely black, wide-legged, wool trouser, or perhaps a black pencil skirt, but I'm worried that it might be too "out there" or just flat out inappropriate for daytime. My office is pretty much business cas, so I don't have to worry about being dressed professionally "enough", but I also don't want to wear something that's inappropriate in other ways. Many of you on this blog have such a great sense of style, so I ask: what say you, J.Crew Aficionada community??? (Here's the link to the shirt--
