I'm looking for a wool bella size 0. Someone mentioned in another post that they had a gray one for sale. Please contact me at kathymtaing@yahoo.com if it's still available. Thanks!

ReplyDeleteI'm interested in any size 4 cotton cady dresses! My email is in my profile.
ReplyDeleteOT: There is a note on the women's accessories page online that says the vintage floral pins have already sold out! What? (Not that I was really going to buy a $100 flower pin...) Did anyone ever actually see this listed online! I check the site everyday and I never saw them! Can anyone help?
ReplyDeleteAnon 4:52am: Me too! I had been looking for pins, but neve seen them! Did anyone see those pins?
ReplyDeleteI never saw them for sale, either - but I think that because they weren't on the site people Googled Dulken & Derrick and went directly to their website instead (where most of the flowers are more reasonably priced than JC's rumored $85-$110). They even had a section named "J Crew Inspired", although I believe they changed the name on that to "Special Collection". HOWEVER - if you go to their site the message on the main page reads: "*********Due to relocation Orders will be processed slower than usual and many items listed are unfortunately sold out. Please be patient while we reconstruct the website, adding new flowers and categories."
ReplyDeleteSeriously, if you're looking for flower pins, I'd highly recommend etsy.com - there are some great (and reasonably priced!) pieces on there, you're supporting a small business, plus some etsy merchants will take requests/special orders.
silver lining, thank for the info. will look into the place you recommended...I did find some nice flower pins at a local store this morning (here in the UK)...that were nice and cheap!
ReplyDeleteNo problem - I've been poking around there a lot lately and they've got really cute stuff! This necklace is cute:

I'm pretty sure you can simply buy the flowers at Jo-Ann's and then hot glue the safety pins (also available there) onto the back...I'm going to try it this week and will report back. :)
ReplyDeleteBtw...I was referring to the Flower Pins in my previous post. :)
ReplyDeleteFFM: I am doing the same thing with the pins :) I went to the store this weekend to get a glue gun and pin backings. I am still looking for some good enough flowers though.
ReplyDeletemichelle: Great minds think alike, as the saying goes! Did you go to Jo-Ann Fabrics to find everything? I'm thinking that Silk Flowers might be best...what do you think?
ReplyDeleteBtw Michelle...I sent you an email about the skirt. :)
ReplyDeleteI have a citrus paisley blazer (item 93405) size 4 for sale, NWT, $53 + shipping.
ReplyDelete(I ordered it final sale and J. Crew sent me the wrong one - I'm sure I can return it, but since it's sold out I thought I'd offer it up here.)
Also, I'm interested in the denim straight skirt (item 94850) in a 10 or 12...I was eying this until it sold out in most sizes without going on sale. Can anyone review this skirt? Anyone want to sell theirs?
My email is beachbum08@rocketmail.com.
Beachnum - If J Crew sent you the wrong thing for Final Sale you can return it. Call CS, explain the situation. Ask to have notes added to your account. Then - you can either return it via post, or take it to your B&M and they will take it. They might not even bother calling CS if you explain it to them. However, having those notes is a good back-up plan.
ReplyDeleteI have a size 6 NWT polka dot san telmo - $70 shipped.
ReplyDeleteSize 9 pepper suede flats NIB - 55 shipped.
Winter white haverhill coat size 8t NWOT - 100 shipped.
kredmann@gmail.com
Anon@8:12 - I'm sure they will take it back - I just thought I'd see if anyone wants it first, since it's sold out. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, on that note, does anyone want to sell this blazer in a 10? 10 is sold out, I guess that's why I ended up with a 4...and now 4 is sold out too.
By "this blazer," of course, I mean the citrus paisley blazer (item 93405).
ReplyDeleteAnd anon @ 8:12, thanks for the tip about calling first - good to know. I think that would have saved me some trouble once in the past when I showed up at the B&M and got a new employee who was sticking too closely to the "final sale" rule. :)
FFM and Michelle: I made my own silk flower belts from this summer's catalog. I just couldn't justify paying $68 for something I could make for less than $5. I even made a few for my daughter and her friends. They looked exactly like the JC ones, and they loved them! Good luck. Try both JoAnn's and Michaels (or Hobby Lobby, if you have them).
ReplyDeleteThanks Leslie! Have you tried making the pins yet? I'm going to visit Michael's tomorrow to see what I can find. :)
ReplyDeleteActually I decided I'm going to Jo-Ann's since it's closer to my house. ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm looking for a orange enamel bangle from this summer. Email me at cyndimcclave@yahoo.com. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun discussion on flower pins I started this A.M. :) Sounds like a crafty week:)
ReplyDeletesilver lining...had to write back...LOVE that website.....I could be there all day looking at flower pins! Plus, I would rather support these small businesses than JCrew...my kind of place:)
ReplyDeleteThere are even some in the UK that make the pins...but most will ship anywhere:)
Clare
ffm & michelle: You have inspired me! I'm going to try to make a pin this week, too! How hard can it be?? Maybe Alexis could start a post on "Making Our Own J. Crew-ish Jewelry!" haha - fun! I'm on a self-imposed J. Crew spending freeze right now (after this weekend!) so this will be a good project for me to focus on! I'll report back on my success or failure as well!
ReplyDeletelindsey b.: That's so funny because I got inspired too...and I'm not even a fan of the flower pins! LOL!!! btw, it sounds like you got a hold of some goodies this weekend. Care to share? :)

Sorry to be a little off subject, but has anyone tried on the Italian deco tank yet? Lately, I'm just mad about saffron...
ReplyDeleteIf so, how does it fit?
Speaking of yellow - FFM, good call on the rhubarb/gold color combo. I just bought the cashmere short sleeved tee in light citron and it looks very sharp under the rhubarb Andrea, especially with dark trouser jeans.
weab: I was wondering what lindsey b. got this weekend too!
ReplyDeleteI have a hot glue gun and after reading these "crafty" posts I am going to try my hand at making a flower pin! I absolutely love feminine touches like this! :)
I am looking for the Uptown Tote in the Fall 2007 collection that was a peacock blue color. Please contact me at casiericln@yahoo.com if anyone has one to sell. Thanks!

FFM, Leslie, Lindsay: I went to Michael's because it's close by, and I didn't like the flower selection there. I did pick up one flower that I thought was pretty, but overall I was looking for something a little higher quality. I think silk or organza would work nicely. I started looking into millinery flowers, but it seems like the only places to find them in any large quantity is online. I wonder if there are any JoAnn's in my area ...
ReplyDeleteGood morning wonderful people! I have a few J. Crew items from seasons past that are NOT WORN:
ReplyDelete1) size 12 petite dark red (poppy?) halter embossed beach dress.
2) size 12 (not petite) khaki canteen twill shirt dress.
Both are unworn - new without tags. I am negotiable on price, or swap for another J. Crew item
I'm a size 12 blazer, xl in sweaters and a large or xl in most tops.
Please write "J.Crew Exchange" in subject heading. I can be reached at: Mmley@aol.com
Thanks!
Marie
Does anyone know if any of the B&M's are still having a secret sale on cashmere?
ReplyDeleteFFM: I haven't tried making the flower pins yet, but I probably will. I picked up a really cute purple chiffon one for $3 at H&M this summer. It will look adorable on jackets/coats or even some sweaters. I just have to be careful about the sweater aspect, since it may leave pin holes that are noticeable. JoAnn's is a great source for the materials. Have fun and let me know how they turn out!
ReplyDeleteI have Size 4 new with tags Galassia jacket in silver houndstooth for sale at $149+shipping. It's beautiful but too young for me.

Anonymous @ 11:09a - I saw signs on the cashmere over the weekend. $99 on crewneck and v-neck. Not sure if the cardigan was on special. You might want to just call a store and ask what they've got going as of today.
ReplyDeleteNothing to sell, but wanted to give a public thanks to Cheri. We did a very quick negotiation that led to a successful transaction through PayPal. I just paid her on Sat and recvd my item this morning(Mon)! Also thanks to FFM. Thanks for mentioning your sizing in the Bella. I also needed a 6 and not a 4. I got the green leaf color.
I still have a Tuesday trench wool jacket in navy, size 2, that is currently on the website for $199, but I'm willing to let it go for half of the price of that, shipped. Its a beautiful coat, just needed a petite size unfortunately!

Forgot one thing! I have a NWT Jamie sweater jacket sz M that is too shortwaisted for me. Does anyone want it for $48 shipped before I send it back to J Crew?
ReplyDeleteHi- I posted a while ago, I have a navy wool herringbone Bella, size T(all) 10 that I bought from the J. Crew website recently. I'm just looking to recuperate what I paid for it, so it's $135 with shipping included to the U.S.
ReplyDeleteI also noted in my previous post that I'm not in the country right now, so it's my father who'll be going to the post. He's shipping out another Aficionada's Bella, plus mine, sometime this week, so let me know ASAP.
Heather C - is it the Jamie sweater jacket, with the tie at the waist? What color?
ReplyDeleteI am looking to buy Dani Stadium Cloth Peacoat (cropped, trapeze style), Size 0 in the Golden Sunflower color (GSU), style #85765, or black.
ReplyDeleteI love this blog and did a trade with Lauren for the red J crew cheshire jacket. Absolutely happy with my purchase and with the experience. Thanks!!!
Haribobear's post made me remember: I am also looking for a cheshire jacket (holiday 07) in the "tomato" or red color, size 10!
ReplyDeleteTIA!
i also have a BNWT grey gather jersey summer dress in grey xs. asking price $38CAD shipped from canada.

leslie: I have seen pins that are magnets - I wonder if that type of backing can be bought in retail? Then, one doesn't have to worry about pin holes - they occur in all types of fabrics and always annoy me. If they can't be bought retail, I know QVC sells the magnet converters (haven't tried, so can't say how they are or if they work).
ReplyDeleteChristina - yes, it's that sweater jacket with the tie at the waist...
ReplyDeletehttp://www.jcrew.com/AST/Browse/WomenBrowse/Women_Shop_By_Category/sweaters/cotton/PRDOVR~95244/95244.jsp
It's navy and a sz M.
Hi! I am desperately looking for a pair of fulham flats sz 6 in light gold. I bought them in 07 and have almost worn them out! Also looking for a Merino ruffle cardigan sz small in any color. Please email me at thehaskews@gmail.com. Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteMath Teacher: I think you are on to something with the magnets. I believe they sell something similar to this at JoAnn's/Michaels. I'll have to check it out and let you know. Great idea!!
ReplyDeleteBoth skirts are NWT, never worn, stored in clean closet in a non-smoke, no pet environment. Both are JCrew items, not outlet or ebay.

ReplyDeleteleslie: let me know if you find them, I might just try my had at craftiness, too. :)
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to leave a note to say that I am (in the process) of receiveing a highly coveted (for me) Size 12 Welsh Purple Velvet bella from beachbum...currently with UPS...she was so helpful and prompt in her communication, and shipping, it truly was a smooth transaction.
ReplyDeleteI'm also getting a T14 Heather Nut bella from Audrey this week, who was gracious enough to offer it on the Aficionada site after she purchased several bellas (I'm assuming in the hopes that at least one would come although it seems - lucky duck! - all of hers did come)
So thank you ladies! I had been on a massive bella hunt all season and was so disappointed to keep missing out on the bellas online. You ladies truly made my day! :-)
Vivian - not sure if you are checking this thread but I saw a msg you left me on the other thread, I do have some of Jcrews other double strand necklaces (shell, seahorse and I *had* the jewelled starbust necklace iwth the yellow beads as well but ultimately ended up returning it to Jcrew)...I found none of those really worked with my wardrobe. I wear a lot of darker tones, and jewel tones, and I wanted something work appropriate (and I work in a conservative accounting firm) - this is why I fell in love with the jewelled flower double strand necklace :)
A: "I'm assuming in the hopes that at least one would come although it seems - lucky duck! - all of hers did come"...
ReplyDeleteYou assume correctly! Glad someone benefits from my overexcitement.
I'm looking for a tortoise shell chain link resin necklace (I think this item is a few years old). Currently on ebay, they have the matching bracelet (ebay item # 320305623289). I have the bracelet and absolutely adore it. I've been looking on ebay for awhile now looking for the matching necklace, but have had no luck. If anyone has any info, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks!
ReplyDeletegigiofca: Which store did you see the cashmere sweaters on sale?
ReplyDeleteHi All,
ReplyDeleteAlexis posted this search for me last week, but I thougth it wouldn't hurt to post here!
I'm looking for the orange/red vintage floral print Lady Day coat (in size 6) shown here:
http://catalogs.google.com/catalogs?id=IP0TgsW6bgIC&pg=PT51&dq=intitle:J+intitle:Crew&catid=0&lcat=0
(Thanks for the link Catherine H.!)
It was originally shown in the August '05 catalogue. If anyone knows of one around, I'd be SO HAPPY to add it to my closet!!! Thanks.
Hi Ellen, did you find this coat? In the event that you are still looking (6 years later) there appears to be a 4p on ebay. I also have a 14 I am hoping to sell and wanted to reach out here.
DeleteHi Sarah - I am definitely interested in your coat! Please email me at katherinerieder@hotmail.com to discuss details. Thanks so much!
Deleteharibobear - It was an absolute pleasure doing the trade with you too!! I wish all things in life could be so easy! :-)
ReplyDeleteweab & jcrewjunkie: I can't wait to go flower and pin shopping and try to put something together!! I have a sick baby right now (nothing serious!) so I will probably not make it out until Wednesday!
ReplyDeleteTo preface this weekend's shopping, on the last JC CC bill I had a Tulip Coat, Felicia Coat, and several skirts, cords, etc... stocking up for fall... NOT GOOD!
With a still smokin' CC, I made 3 separate orders from the sale section (all of which have already arrived or I have a tracking number - yea!) I'm getting 2 cashmere cable sweaters (snow and navy), the gold whisper lame tank, serengeti tank, amelia tank (pale almond), a couple cardigans, 2 cotton linen sweaters (pink and green), and a joelle blouse (burnished moss). So, needless to say, this mixed with occasional purchases at my b&m have deemed my BANNED for additional J. Crew shopping for at least a couple of weeks!

OT: I am trying to be positive here..the new website is cool...there is a little timer with a countdown and it lets you change, or cancel or even (I think) add to your order for a short amount of time after placing it...I do like this...once again, trying to think of something positive about the new website!

hdayton - I saw the cashmere sweaters on sale at Walnut Creek, CA and San Francisco. The promo may have ended as of Sunday, but it's worth a call to the store.
ReplyDeleteAs a fellow J. Crew fan, I fell in love with the vintage flower pins that J. Crew had styled onto many of the outfits in the October 2008 catalog. In fact, I kept this particular catalog and still admire the pictures. I, like many other fans, tried to purchase these flowers but never saw them available online. Well, I just wanted you all to know that I am now proudly selling Dulkin and Derrick Vintage Flower Pins on my Blue Onion Marketplace website. D & D agreed to sell me designs that are exclusive to my on-line store. My heart skipped a beat when I took a look at the spring samples in the box D&D sent me. I am truly in love with them!!!! You can pin them to your favorite J. Crew coat, sweater, belt, hat, cute little top or even a wedding dress. They will even dress up a t-shirt enough to sneak wearing it to the office. I would be honored if you could took a look.
ReplyDeleteYou will probably notice that the pictures of the flower pins are taken pinned to some of my own favorite J. Crew clothing especially my favorite J. Crew Felicia Coat in sea salt!
