This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the HOLIDAY sale, or to see some new SPRING arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!
Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)
P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!
I hope to visit both the Crewlet and a couple of B&M this weekend...yippee!
ReplyDeleteOT- the online Factory Store seems to be offering free shipping again this weekend.
Oh yeah! I am hitting a crewlet and at least 1 B&M this weekend! Can't wait to check out the new Jackie colours and tops and things. Hope to try on shoes and pants as well (rubs hands together). Woot woot! Sorry, it's an OCCASION for us Canadian JCAs when we get to make a trip south of the border ;)
ReplyDeleteNo store visits for me this weekend but am hoping to get out next week to see new arrivals.
ReplyDeleteGoing to NYC this weekend so I might hit a B&M, and Madewell too.
ReplyDeleteSubscribing. :)
ReplyDeleteYes, I am actually going to a b&m this weekend!
ReplyDeleteAll you Charlotte ladies, how does the j.crew store at the Northlake mall compare to the one at Southpark? I'm thinking of mixing it up this time...
Sub!
ReplyDeleteI went to the B&M yesterday, tried the Herringbone Schoolboy blazer in the Aged Driftwood and loved it. So I'm using the 20% promo to get the Heather Charcoal color as well. Yes, I'm paying shipping but I'm also getting additional suiting items that don't often go on sale and the Navy Schoolboy Blazer.
ReplyDeleteI will say, going to the B&M saved me money. Many of the items I've had in my shopping cart don't look near as well when you see them in person. The Featherweight Cashmere sweaters, which I typically love, looked sad and fuzzy and they even had some hanging on the hanger, which stretches them out. They didn't have the Lemon Pulp color and after seeing them, I just hope they do the Lemon Pulp in a Jackie version.
The Double Breasted Bonnie Blazer was cut in an unflattering way and is already marked down.
not this weekend, but curious to hear if anything good in store
ReplyDeleteAppgal- I always prefer Southpark, there are no shoes or crewcuts at Northlake, but besides that Southpark just has a larger selection...besides, then you can visit Madewell too!
ReplyDeleteAfter being unable to find $150 in full price merchandise for the 20% promo online, I popped into my B&M at lunchtime today where I foolishly purchased 2 full price items. (And provided I like them, I may just reorder them online and return- hey, if JC can be sneaky when it comes to pricing, so can I!)
ReplyDeleteAnyway the reason I'm posting is because I hated the Lunette mini online but in person I found it super cute. Kudos to JC for merchandising it with the Suckered plaid shirt in blue/orange which is what I was there to buy. Very cute outfit indeed. I was too hungry to try anything on so I will report back with my reviews of both items... :)
I stopped at the B&M this morning and saw a new full mini, in a light blue buffalo checks pattern in a gauzy cotton. Very cute and lightweight (it was in the beach section) but overpriced at $69.50. Maybe it will be on sale in two weeks?
ReplyDeleteNew arrivals are due in store on Monday. My ps said that they are going to receive a lot of dresses (the trend is not strapless). HTH!
Stopped by Prince St in NYC. They said new stuff into the store on Monday, out by Tuesday. I tried on the Exchange Glenplaid Super 120s dress -- it's stunning on and very curve-friendly. Plan to get this during my next PS appt.
ReplyDeleteNot going anywhere this weekend, but still debating whether to make use of the 20% + FS. Trying to pair down to only things that will never go on sale like the School Boy Navy Blazer.
ReplyDeleteFYI, tried taking the discount with Factory, but it didn't work. I can't believe the elusive Factory tiered lace cami is up for grabs. To expensive with out the discount.
Speaking of which the 20off code isn't working for me, even with $700 of FP merch.
ReplyDeleteElizabeth: do you know how much that Bonnie blazer was at B&M? I had an eye for it but if it's a shapeless mess I wouldn't get it.
ReplyDeleteNot going this weekend. I want to go to my closest Crewlet but even that one is 40 mins away or so.
Happy Dance. Got the 20% off Factory tiered lace cami when I called in with trouble using the discount. He mentioned it doesn't apply but gave it to me anyways.
ReplyDeleteI went ahead and also ordered the Navy Schoolboy blazer, Dock-strip perfect shirt in blue, & Herringbone Schoolboy blazer in Aged driftwood.
I went this morning to my M&B and asked the SA whether they can honored the 20% off online at stores, I specifically asked her about a pair of flats that are only in store item and she said no, that they can't honor an only-online promo, so I went and ask the manager who is a super nice girl and she said yes as long as my purchase was more than 150dlls and honored the 20%. So guys if you go to a B&M ask the nicest SA or manager in store, you may end up get the dsct.
ReplyDeletejcrewphd, If I remember correctly, the Bonnie jacket was $99. There was a whole rack of them in the Seattle store. The problem I had with it was the blocky fit. I have the Lisette Super 120s jacket which is double breasted but it is much more fitted. The Bonnie was not that fitted. Maybe if I had tried a smaller size.
ReplyDeleteWolfy, love your purchases! I love the prep J. Crew and I loved the wrinkled linen look of the Herringbone Blazer, so cute!
Laura I'm so happy for you, I tried to get the 20% discount in Seattle and they said no. I would have bought much more if they had so it was the B&M's loss. The promo will be over the next time I'm in Seattle.

ReplyDeleteDara, I'll be checking back to see what you think of the suckered plaid shirt in blue/orange. I have it in my cart now and will likely order it with this promo unless you give it a bad review ;).
ReplyDeleteSubbing :o)
ReplyDeleteI might go in for some returns. Saw some new markdowns online -- including the bloussana to $60.
ReplyDeletesub!
ReplyDeletePicked up the No. 2 pencil skirt in citron, the Retro shell in navy (on sale for $49.99 in stores), and the toothpick zipper jean in lagoon wash (on sale for $79.99 in stores). My PS kindly applied the 20% online discount that is currently running. Quite happy with my purchases today!
ReplyDeleteHi, has anyone seen vintage cotton mixed lawn shirts (preferably in red) in any stores?
ReplyDeleteThanks!
Ranju
ReplyDeleteI've seen the Vintage Cotton Lawn Shirt all colors in quite a few stores (Pentagon City-Va, Walnut Creek, Ca) Yes I get around.
Anyways that was quite a few months ago. The stores got this shirt pre-spring line. You might have difficulty finding it now in store. I'm pretty sure the orange was on clearance and was probably sent back with all the other winter clearance.
Sorry I meant the Red. Red, Orange, you get what I mean. This shirt was originally $45 online, then went up to match the instore price. I returned it and played the sale game for that reason. Of course now it's sold out, and I can only hope for a pop-up in the size/color I'm looking for. Love the grey, like the white, not a red fan.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Wolfy! :) I might try calling the Walnut Creek store.
ReplyDeleteIf you are in Cali, I would call the Emeryville store first. They seem to have a better selection. I don't think I've seen it at the Pleasonton store. And of course I believe there is a San Fran store, which I've never visited.
ReplyDeleteAmie dress is marked down to $39.99 in my store already (Tysons in McLean, VA). Dotted tulle fineline cami is $49.99 in store (59.99 online).
ReplyDeleteAnother in-store sale item: floral shorts for $29.99
ReplyDeleteSale Items of note at the Southpark store in Charlotte, NC:
ReplyDeleteBuffalo Check boy shirts in blue and orange, $39.99
Jackie Cardi in Nightfall blue size small (just one left!), $39.99
Amie dress, $39.99
I posted some pics of what I tried on today here.
ReplyDeleteIrl pics of the silk Blythe blouse in this post.
ReplyDeleteI picked up a navy retro shell on sale in my local store. I kept thinking that the pink looked great too, so I checked the website tonight. The retro shell doesn't even come up under shirts and tops, but the Tartan Boy shirt does. But, don't get your hopes up if you missed out on that one in December -- you'll soon see red type telling you that it has been so popular it has sold out. Really?
ReplyDeleteAnd, if you "search" for the retro shell, it appears that all sizes and colors are still available online at full price -- if you can find it.
Why would the website show items that aren't available, and hide items that are available. Are they actually trying to sell clothes online?
Jean,
ReplyDeleteAnother JCA mentioned that with the 20% off promo, they are "hiding" items that are already selling well at full price. It definitely sounds like something they'd do-
Not cool at all!
In one of the stores I went into yesterday, I noticed (but didn't try on) a pair of lightweight denim trousers that almost looked chambray. They had a style name that started with a "B" written on inside but I can't remember what it was. Did anyone get a chance to try these on? They were "only" $75, which is cheaper than the other chambray pair I have my eye on!
ReplyDeleteNo JCREW for me this weekend -- I'm all JCrewed out -- my wedding was last week and every outfit I had on hand was a crew....=) yay. even the wedding dress, which I got so many compliments for! even from strangers....my best friend said me and my hubby were "the classiest couple to happen to the Bellagio"....althought probably not true cause that small wedding for 25 costed us around 10 grand....still a compliment....yaay! I am eyeing the factory online stuff though...we shall see.
ReplyDeleteAppGal, I think those are the Belmarin (not sure if I spelled that correctly). I love the look but haven't tried them on yet.
ReplyDeletesun in seattle: YES! That's it...the Belmarin trouser. Looking forward to hearing/seeing some reviews and pics from others.
ReplyDeleteLily - Congratulations on your wedding :-)
ReplyDeleteJust came back from a visit...
ReplyDeleteBought the cutest little dress... Style #40678 and it is right at the knee!! Yeah!! A floral print with olive and lilac.. very cute...
Leopard scarf... love me some leopard!
Tried the Belmarin in chambray... they were ok. I have a chambray pair from a few years ago, they are wider leg. I liked those better. The Belmarin is a very straight fit.
Saw the March store book. Lots of VERY cute things coming in. A Double Serge Pencil in Bright Dahlia.. some mini's in great colors for you gals that do mini's. Some GORGEOUS jackets, bags and shoes.
milljcrew: Sounds like the dress I tried on (see link above). It is a pretty dress...very unlike anything else j.crew has available right now.
ReplyDeleteAppGal,
ReplyDeleteThat is it! Thanks!
Millcrew,
ReplyDeleteI love that dress. Very pretty:)and very me! I know I will be getting it very soon:)
