"Thanks!" to many of you, including Stene (in this post), who shared the following update.
J.Crew had a major update to the Final Sale (click here to shop online). It appears that new styles have also been added. {yey!}
Now might be the time to buy for those of you with additional percent off codes (from your catalog). :)
Will you be checking out the Sale section? Are there any items you are hoping to see or to get?
I'm no dummeh. I'm going to take my chances and wait until Friday when it will be extra 30 off again.
ReplyDeleteIncidentally, every single thing I tried to add to my cart was a ghost item. That was delightful.
Does anyone have the
ReplyDeletebow and chain ballet flats? Are they even remotely comfortable? Or true to size? I don't necessarily mind paying that much for flats but I want to make sure they are likely to fit before getting them final sale. I'm a size 5 btw so I won't be able to size down if they run large.
The 20% off Tees & Knits runs until the 13th, so I don't think they will have a 20-30-40 off until that promo expires.
ReplyDeleteHard to go for any of the new items when I have yet to see or try a lot of it IRL. Final Sale no thanks. I've learned my lesson, I think.
Still, I'm not biting until I see an extra off. Nothing has really caught my eye except for the Herringbone schoolboy blazer.
Has anyone tried on the Vintage cotton foil-print tank? How does it fit? TIA
ReplyDeleteMary - I tried them on at the store and took my normal size. Seemed comfortable enough.
ReplyDeletemaryse - The bow and chain are tts. I am 7.5 and have taken an 8 in most shoes until recently. I took a definite 7.5 in these and the sequin flats, also from this past season. The bow & chain are more comfortable than not. The front part is cut a bit shallow and digs in a bit. Definitely an issue that needs to be fixed in the JC flats in general. I don't recall that they cut into my heel, though. I like mine & think they're cute. HTH.
ReplyDeleteAgree with Elaine - I'm also feeling that the winds of discount are gonna blow through again soon...

ReplyDeleteWaiting for the inevitable code as well :)
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone have any feedback about any of the handbags that are on sale?? My store doesn't carry bags in person and with it being final sale...
ReplyDeleteSarah, I have the Rhodie satchel in olive moss and love it. I fell for this bag when I came across the black version in the store. You can see it on my blog, if you search for Rhodie. HTH
ReplyDeleteaghhh, placed an order on 2/4, it was "released" almost immediately, checked it regularly, still "released" this morning, and everything on it was notated "in stock." And a few minutes ago, the dreaded email arrived. The one thing that I really wanted was out of stock; everything else is being shipped. Alas, everything else is/are ride-alongs. Fooey. I actually thought when I saw the "in stock" column that J.Crew was trying out improvements on its web site. Guess not.
ReplyDeleteFor today, sign me Disappointed Beta Tester.
I, too, am waiting for the next 30% off... perhaps this Tuesday?
ReplyDeleteSadly I have not received my catalog in the mail. Am I the only one?
Just got an earring order. Should be pretty safe, right? Wrong. One of the earring backs was completely bent out of shape at the factory. Nice. And little did I know that this cute pair:

has an "omega clasp" which serves to look like 80 year old lady clip on earrings. Going back, along with the defective pair.
Has anyone tried on the Noelle suede and shearling lace-up booties? Are they comfy? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteAlso, any thoughts about the crosstown peep toes? Thanks!

ReplyDeletepenny, i'm still waiting for my catalog too!
ReplyDeleteHas anyone tried the Washed-out ripstop field jacket 32603? I love how it looks styled with the timber tweed pencil skirt. I've seen lots of reviews of the Ripstop Field Jacket, which was well loved.
ReplyDeleteThanks.
Am I the only person who has bought and returned something and then bought it again? The Lindy leather shoes in warm taupe. I had a better deal on them the first time, I should have just kept them! I'm a little afraid now that the ones I'm getting will have some kind of flaw instead of being the pristine ones I originally received.
ReplyDeleteI just got a sweater in the mail that was final sale, but it has a hole in the sleeve... anyone know if this is return/exchangeable?
ReplyDeleteGood question, Jenny. I also want to know how strict they are with final sale returns. My dress is not exactly as pictured or described and none of the stores in my area carried it. I don't know if they'll allow me to return it. :-S
ReplyDeleteJenny: Try returning it to your B&M and explain the problem. Once I ordered a pair of final sale pants in a size four, got them, and when I took them out of the package, realized that they were more like a 14!!
ReplyDeleteI brought them, with the receipt, back to J Crew and explained what happened, and they took the pants back, no problem. I even told them it was final sale, but you could clearly tell that they were defective. Give it a shot!
No dice for me.....willing to wait for an across the board (sans third-party) 20-25 or 30% discount with or without free shipping.
