J.Crew Email: UP TO 50% OFF sale items, exclusively online

"Thanks!" to many of you, including Ketan, who shared the following email.

Just finished attempting to shovel the snow/ ice off the back patio. Before taking a long hot shower, I checked my email to see this lovely email from J.Crew.

Thanks J.Crew for reminding that Final Sale is still Final Sale. ;) But seriously, I am happy to see that some new items are now on sale (click here to shop online).

Incidentally, I find it interesting that their "Shopping Tip" is still there.

Will you be checking out J.Crew's Final Sale? Did you see some new items in the sale section?

    I'm not sure what the point of these emails are. Just leaves me disappointed and a little mislead.

    A more accurate email would be 'new markdowns or more items up to 50% off' because a lot of the items are still priced exactly as they were last week, just MINUS the additional 40% discount.

    Just my 2 cents!

    No free shipping though?

    I really am done with these items now... have been lucky to get things I would have wanted on popback through the Exchange!

    Costine sweater is in the sale though, which I like for Spring -- if only free shipping (and my size wasn't sold out.) Strange that the striped one is Final Sale already...

    Bevin blouse on sale in store ($49.99). Ridiculous that online the new sale items are final sale.

    This is really stupid. How new items can be on final sale and ONLINE is ridiculous. :-(

    BTW Cotton Bell Skirt runs TTS in case it goes on final sale in two weeks.

    As echoing many of the JCA's sentiments now and previously. It is absolutely ridiculous new items are in the same category as Final Sale items from previous season. It's JC being lazy and not differentiating their sale section.
    That said, I'm not browsing FS since it's been over a month since I've been to a store to even try any of the new items.

    I ordered a bunch of stuff during the extra 40% off sale and now it's biting me in the behind. How can two sizes 4 dresses fit so incredibly different? And yet when I call customer service they just claim there's nothing they can do. I don't understand why you can't at least return stuff ordered online for a credit instead of forcing me to keep a dress that I'll never wear and making me increasingly bitter towards your company. The Final Sale is such a bad policy (unless it's on super super clearance)!!

    Oh, I'm silly, I read that email as 'ah, 50% off the sale prices!' No...

    I added the stripe costine sweater to cart and it doesn't come up final sale... maybe those new-sale-items aren't final sale in spite of their .99 price? Who knows, who... knows...

    Right BEFORE final sale I ordered two blazers; same style, same size, two different colors and one fit and one was too small. Also one itched and one did not. Both went back. I have learned the hard way over the years to stay away from final sale.

    I am happy for others that get their deals and everything fits. It is just not for me anymore.

    WTH, new spring final sale and the raised the price of the vintage cotton mixed lawn shirt from $45 to $59.50. That said, I will probably bit if a few items come back in my size and a +% off comes up.

    Lynzeeroo, just take the item you don't want to your local store (if you can) and tell them you know it's final sale, but it doesn't fit like the usual size 4, they will take it back, even final sale.

    I ordered that floral bubble skirt- I know not everyone will like it but I love the colors and knew what size to get!
    Also I ordered to Elena collection dress which I'm very very excited to see!

    Keep checking every morning- there have been sizes popping up in the dress!! I saw it on Ema (who has a blog and posts here) and based my sizing off that- we wear mostly the same sizes- so hopefully that works out! I have been in love with it from the start but the orginal price point was more than I could handle! :)
