Good morning JCAs! The past few weeks have been crazy weather-wise. We are experiencing record amounts of snow and it doesn't seem to be stopping. There is another storm today which many of you are experiencing as it blankets half the country. As a result, I have been checking my email less frequently so I can go shovel the snow and then be exhausted (my roof got shoveled– yes, the roof!).
I have tons of emails to respond to and will definitely get around to doing it. My sincerest apologies if I don't respond or post the latest right away.
As much as I love wearing my winter coats (I am talking about you Stadium-cloth toggle coat!), I cannot wait for Spring! ;)
Hang in there, Alexis! We're getting hammered again today, and supposed to hit/exceed our usual February snow totals with one storm!
ReplyDeleteEverybody stay safe, dry, and warm!
Yikes, Alexis! I feel sorry for all of you battling this nasty snowstorm!
ReplyDeleteGack! I fear winter storms. I'm glad not to be in the line of fire - errr, ice. Stay safe everyone! And try not to knock out the power grid. (:
ReplyDeleteYikes, looks like at least a foot up my doorstep and the cars in my neighborhood are piled high already. Supposed to get more too I think, yuck!
ReplyDeleteNoticed a few newer arrivals in the sale section, like the wheat tee to $20 (might be cute with the citron skirt!) and the newer floral mini ($50).
I also hope all of you battling the snowstorm stay safe and warm!
ReplyDeleteGetting snowed- and iced-in currently! Hunkering down with laptop/cell phone chargers while I can.
ReplyDeleteKeep safe and good luck with the shoveling! I just woke up this morning here in Toronto and not only is there a ton of snow on the ground, it is coming down FAST!!
ReplyDeleteGotta walk to work in this. Yuck!
Sorry to hear about your weather Alexis, it's been crazy here as well. Will spring ever appear?
ReplyDeleteToo many days I shoveled two and yes even three times. Stay well and warm everyone.
I have ordes a dusted sequin shift as a special occasion dress. The stock photos depict a lighter background with dk sequins- color stated as dk charcoal. The dress arrived yesterday and it has dk organza and black sequins on, completely not as pictured. Off to check I go, and lo and behold the pics now showcase dark version which was not there when I placed an order. J Crew changed the pics post factum. BUT, if you cluck on pics to enlarge, the same lighter version is still in. The dress is FS of course, and I am exhausted , don't even want to argue with CS for the fear of sounding like I am making up a story to get out of FS item.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry, the post belongs to Vent category, mistakenly posted in a wrong spot.
ReplyDeleteI have the coat in that picture! Ohhh the old J.Crew! As much as I love wearing it, I will cry if summer doesn't come soon! :)

ReplyDeleteI have that coat and I get so many compliments on it. It is the warmest of all of my J.Crew coats and it is in great condition despite being over three years old.
ReplyDeleteshowithm, I noticed that too. The canvas military skirt is already marked down as well. There is a lot of inventory in the sale section. A little surprising after the last two big blowouts at 40% off. I am not rushing to buy anything though. Trying to purge my closet for spring.
ReplyDeleteStay safe and warm everyone!
I groundhog saw his shadow this morning- so only 6 weeks left of winter (right?!)
ReplyDeleteAlexis I understand i have shoveled three times in the past 24 hours too! (good cardio though right?!)
Blizzard here, too. Garden looks like snow palace. It is really very pretty, and thankfully I don't have to drive in it. Might strap some skis on later and glide around...
ReplyDeleteI feel for you guys in the east/south! Even though up here in Canada we're suppose to be prepared, our city hasn't cleared 50% of the residential streets nearly 2 weeks after the last big dump of snow. We have record accumulations on the ground. Hopefully you all are safe, warm, indoors with power and hot water! I'm so sick of winter and wearing wooly pants and sweaters! Can't wait for spring!
ReplyDeleteWell, you all may call me crazy, but I'm sad we don't have snow! I live in Colorado, where there's *supposed* to be lots of snow, and we've had nearly none this year. Makes me sad as I love snow! And meanwhile the rest of the country is getting way too much snow! All we're getting is multiple days below zero. :(
ReplyDeleteI hope all of you that are getting all the snow and ice stay warm and safe! Spring feels ages away, but it is coming!
Grew up in the snow and cold of MN. Glad to have left it all 2 years ago. It is 69 where I am now but I feel for you all. My family and friends are all in IL digging themselves out of a blizzard.
ReplyDeleteThanks everyone! We got hit with a lot of ice, which makes shoveling a bit more challenging. I just finished the back patio (enough so it won't collapse) and I am calling it done for me. ;)
ReplyDeleteI hope that all of you facing the extreme winter weather are staying safe and warm! :)
Hope the weather clears up for you and many other JCAs in snowy areas. Stay safe and healthy!
ReplyDeleteWe didn't end up getting hit all that bad in buffalo, but they were expecting us to so I at least got out of class today! I was getting quite worried hearing about everything going on in Chicago. I heard about 25ft waves, thats just nuts!
ReplyDeleteI find that my warmest outdoor coat is actually my northface metropolis parka. I would highly recommend it if anyone is looking for a nice warm winter coat! I just got mine this year for christmas.
