Savings are applied at checkout with code AYC93K. Offer not valid on phone orders. Cannot be combined with any other promotion. Limit one promotional code per order. Details of offer are subject to change. It's great to see this offer back at J.Crew. Although it's odd that it is not publicly shared at JCrew.com or on its Sale page (click here to shop online). Perhaps this is the start of selective & private sales at J.Crew?
Will you be checking out the Sale section? Are there any items you are hoping to see or to get? Did you get this email? Does your local B&M have an additional-percent-off-sale as well?
Disappointed in this offer. There is only one item I want in final sale and of course it is not over $100; so I won't be using this offer. I have a free shipping code to use on my account so was hoping for an extra percent off to get this item but JCrew won't take 2 codes. Oh well. Pass.
ReplyDeleteI just placed an online order at Kohl's. They specifically let you use 2 offer codes. I got free shipping and 30% off my order and I got to use $10 Kohl's cash so I did really well:) Happy with that order:)
I got two double serge pencil skirts- nightfall blue and bronzed ochre. Such a good price at about $60 each. I'm a happy girl!
ReplyDeleteMight be hard to resist. I'd really like to try the siren dress and with the 30, it comes to a reasonable price for a jersey dress...
ReplyDeleteI also got the two double serge skirts in bronzed ochre and nightfall blue!! I'm so thrilled with the prices that I can't complain.
ReplyDeleteAlso, the siren dress arrived yesterday... I'm not that thrilled with it. The top was beautifully draped and looked great but it just hung unflatteringly on my hips and butt. I'm a fairly traditional hourglass shape, so it was weird for me not ot have this fit well. I was afraid if I went up a size, it would just hang on top.
I think this dress was designed for someone who is less curvy and more lean and lithe. :)
Is this a hint at a 40% off sale, to come??
ReplyDeleteI'm going to be good and not purchase anything during this sale but if that 40% comes along, I won't be so restrained!
Would love to order a few more merino cardigans. The weave seems to generally be tighter than Banana Republics, which I like.
Oh happy day! I had a feeling this was coming. I grabbed the Trouper pants in an 8 (only in one color though, boo) and a few Factory tees that I've had my eye on, plus the striped factory popover hoodie aaaaaaaand a Lady Day with thinsulate in Torch Orange. All for $187 all told. Fabulous! :D
ReplyDeleteLindsay,
ReplyDeleteI hope you are right:) I am waiting too for a promo that does not have to have a code to use like in the past! (but I think what I want will sell out before that but I don't care; will always be something cute or available in the outlet later...)
it's not coming up on my page..? wonder why??
ReplyDeleteI JUST placed and order yesterday - it hasn't even been 24 hours! I knew better than to do anything without a promo and I did it anyway. UGH.
ReplyDeletefinally bit the bullet on the bronzed ochre double serge and also the lisette lace shell in heirloom pink...and a belt to round out the order!
ReplyDeleteKat - I did the same thing too....argh.
ReplyDeleteHas anyone purchased/tried on the Dollop Coat? I am interested in the bronzed twig color but don't konw if the style of the coat works IRL. Any advice is appreciated!
If anyone is looking at the double serge skirts on sale I highly recommend - I splurged and got 5 of them last Fall! I got so much wear out of them, had to have the waist taken in but otherwise they are the most beautiful and versatile skirts!
ReplyDeletePauline,
ReplyDeletethe Dollop coat is the 60's style coat isn't it? I bought it and loved it, in the bronzed twig,
I stalked it in the store and got a great buy before christmas, the description says bracelet sleeves but on me they are just right as sleeves are always too long. I wouldnt say it is a coat for zero degree days though.
Isabella - YES! That's the one! Thanks for your input....I might just have to get it!
ReplyDeleteAnother OT, but today's WSJ reports ISS advises shareholders to vote against the buyout:
ReplyDeletehttp://tinyurl.com/4lbkrf2
Shoot, I don't know how to post so non-subscribers have full access to the article.
And on their blog:
http://tinyurl.com/4fane2w
wahoo! I couldn't resist a coat. The cobblestone coletta was already sold out, but a coat for under $100 in any color can't be beat. :)
ReplyDeletegood morning!
ReplyDeletesub :o)
mommydearest, I googled "j.crew buyout" and the full WSJ article can be accessed there. You have to scroll down the page a little to the news category.
ReplyDeleteTo me the surprise was that pension funds and institutional investors are that heavily into an apparel stock!
Meanwhile I am doing my best to keep 2011 revenues up; 2 items I've been stalking popped back on Final Sale and I bit. Now 2 things to fear: THE DREADED, and THE SLOW AND DAMAGED ARRIVAL.
I didn't get the e-mail... but there's nothing I want anyway. It is interesting that this sale is not publicly mentioned on their page.
ReplyDeleteGood morning! Does anyone know if the B&M will offer a percentage off on their clearance items as well? I don't have any stores near where I live so I don't know if they tend to follow what the online store does or not.
ReplyDeleteTIA!
Yay! :)
ReplyDeletesub :)
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone own the Elise shift dress in Super 120s? I'm wondering about the fit. Would it work on a curvy gal?
ReplyDeleteOk, you fabulous JCA's, I need advice! Someone on their blog posted pics of an outfit centering around the Electra Vest and I've been obsessing about it ever since. But I'm a little broad through the shoulders. Would that make me look like a linebacker? It's a big splurge and it'd be non-returnable. I think I should walk away, but I can't quite give it up. Also, does anyone have the Coquette bag and do they love it? I know it's been discussed a little bit, but I"m torn on colors - the yellow suede, the green metallic or the black metallic. Just not sure if I should dive in on these things or not.
ReplyDeleteWasn't the free shipping linked to the account supposed to last until the end of the month? I was granted the free shipping during the 20% promo but I only used to buy two popbacks. This morning wasn't there anymore. Anybody else like me? I had not received the email with the code and/or free shipping offer BTW.
ReplyDeleteCRAP. I just bought a coat yesterday using a free shipping code. I knew it, but I couldn't wait because it was such a good deal.
ReplyDeleteJruby18, do you mind telling me the J.Crew store you went to yesterday? You mentioned something about a skirt in bright dahlia in another post, and I want to know if it's the No.2 Cotton double serge pencil skirt. Thanks in advance!
ReplyDeleteHas anyone tried the Trolley trench (38342)? I just hate final sale since most of the items I have never tried on...
ReplyDeleteEma, same here, now my account just "welcomes" me. I guess JC is using a different calendar with a shorter February.
ReplyDeleteHi jcrewphd - the Trolley trench is .com only so it's likely not many of use would've seen it. Agh! I was interested, but the description is too confusing (button-off collar and tabs?), and I don't buy final sale.
ReplyDeleteI ended up getting a double serge pencil skirt in black...have been needing one for a while!
ReplyDeleteFor those of you interested in the Plaza coat on sale, I have one that is NWT that has a very small ink stain, probably removable via dry cleaning. I'll sell for $90 shipped if interested!
Ema,
ReplyDeleteYup, me too. I got the email with the one-time use code, then my account popped up with free shipping. It was gone when the 20% off was over.
I think I might bite on a couple items. My rewards card is still sitting in my pocket. :)
Ordered two things I'd tried on in stores -- Waverly chinos in the third color. . . so soft and drapey and flattering, and tulle fineline cami. Also beautiful, lined, not too low cut, tts. Replaced a hoodie, too, which is fraying at the sleeves and zipper.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure some new arrivals will be online tomorrow so that could mean new markdowns and more added to the sale section. It will also mean shopping carts will get dumped overnight though (at least mine always does anytime they update the website).
ReplyDeleteJRuby18, I got the Electra vest and while I know some people sized down in theirs, mine fits just right in my usual J. Crew size that I would have been able to size up. I found mine to be quite fitted, just something to consider if you're concerned about the fit on your shoulders. HTH!
ReplyDeleteI'll wait and see what happens. I may want one or two new items far more than old marked down winter items that could be shopworn and have gum wrappers in the pockets. I have no urgency on this promo at all and 30% is not all that when we are going into March.
ReplyDeleteMy account still has free shipping. I did get the email telling me it was on until the end of the month. I ordered just one thing with the 30% off promo today and was glad I didn't have to throw in a ridealong to get over FS minimum of $100. I've got the same item in another color so I feel pretty safe buying a second. I do have a list of popbacks that I'll check on if there is a restock. So far everything I am stalking is sold out. Maybe that is for the best.
ReplyDeleteEma,
ReplyDeleteThe same thing happened to me. I got free shipping on my account the same day others got emails with a code or got it on their accounts. I don't know how long it was there but I did use it to buy an accessory with a gift cad I had and I assumed it would still be there but it is gone now:(
I also received an email with a code but of course you cannot use two codes so JCrew lost a sale with me today as I posted earlier.
OT: The model on the Kork-Ease website is wearing the Madewell Tea Party Dress. Click here. :)
ReplyDelete@silver_lining: Same here, I don't want to risk being stuck with it. The description is confusing and I just can't see how the fabric really looks like from the shots provided even when I zoom in.
ReplyDeleteMy free shipping "disappeared" after the 20% off promo too. Weird.

ReplyDeleteCan anyone tell me how the Lady Day Coat fits in the shoulder area? I have broad shoulders so don't know if I need to size up. Thanks so much!
ReplyDelete@Pauline, I usually wear a 2p but I have a 4p lady day. To be fair, I didn't try a 2p, but the 4p is just right.
ReplyDeleteCould someone please comment on the fit of the Tretorn sneakers? How do they fit - length and width? I am usually an M in shoe widths. TIA
ReplyDeleteAlso the Bandelier boots. TIA again.
ReplyDeleteGot a chance to view the March catalog. Lots of eyelet (the same eyelet pencil skirt from 2 years ago, actually) and lace, bright colors (and some out-there color combos), wider belts, Liberty-print oxfords, and quite a few of the same pieces that have already been released. Nothing too "classic" to me... except for a $950 ruby red Mackintosh! Go figure!
ReplyDeleteHi Rose -- the Tretorn sneakers fit true to regular size, not J.Crew size. In other words, the 7 fit me as most 7s do, but lately in J.Crew shoes I take 7.5.
ReplyDeletePS - Elaine, the red backpack is $380.
ReplyDeleteSo annoying that this promo wasn't advertised, as I had a few things in my cart this morning, and then didn't bother b/c I din't think there was a discount. Back online this afternoon to see that there was a discount, and my things are sold out. Oh well, not meant to be I guess. I was able to get some cute tees for my son though!
ReplyDeleteThank you, fidele! Now let's hope they show up back in my size. No clue there was a sale going on today until I came to visit here.
ReplyDeleteI think the deal with the free shipping that was on everyone's (?) accounts over the weekend was that it was kind of a special treat to use with the 20% off women's (since FS wasn't offered outright with the promo). The free shipping that was granted in the e-mail sent out to only some is good until the end of February, whether you got a one-time code or the all-month variety. I checked and my one-time still works.
ReplyDeleteI could feel the 30% off final sale coming with my spider senses, so I had my cart all ready to go with another Bon Bon coat in black (I have it in cobblestone and love it), a pair of toothpick cords in dusty cedar (even though I have way too many cords already), and the Bonfire cardigan. I lost a couple of little things like mittens and a belt because I was refreshing J. Crew all morning and didn't check my e-mail for the offer, unfortunately. I was almost tempted to get another coat with the prices so low! Maybe if there's a 40% off follow-up.
Just got the email on this promo, but I still don't see it on jcrew's page.
ReplyDeleteReordered the Factory Lace Cami at 30%. Yep, works on Factory items.
Forgot to add. Discount seems to be ringing up more at about 38%off, not 30%
ReplyDeleteBlah, I always get too excited when I order from J.Crew and forget to go through Ebates... also forgot I should have rewards bucks by now, which I could have used over the phone...
ReplyDeleteAnyway, cerise starlet dot bikini... wish the onepiece had been available in my size, but it'll do... now just need to get to the beaches of Spain or France this year! Plus heather honeycomb cardigan, really been hankering for a yellow topper forever and ever.
I had been tempted by the perfect fit striped boatneck tee, which was on sale two days ago for $24.50, but now it's full price again. Grrr...
ReplyDeletePauline, size up in the lady day for sure for more room in the shoulders. I have it in an 8 and am always a 6 in other J.Crew coats.
ReplyDeleteI did finally get this e-mail today.
I'm not ordering so far, but thank gawd I'm on The Mothership! I haven't recvd an email yet.
ReplyDelete...ok, so I did get an email. This is why I have JC emails going to at least 2 accounts.
ReplyDeleteHas anyone tried both the fineline and the retro shells? I ordered my usual size 4 in the grey fineline and it was swimming on me. I don't think I can just size down as the whole shirt, overall length, armwholes and neck drop are too long. I would need the shirt in a petite which they don't have. I am interested in the retro, but am thinking I might have the same issue. Does anyone know how these compare?
ReplyDeleteWow, I think I may have gotten a defective Lady Day Coat.
ReplyDeleteI have linebacker shoulders (or so I feel!) and usually take a 4 in J Crew coats... EXCEPT for the Lady Day, which I tried in a 2 and 4, and the 2 fit better.
What in the world is up with that?
I grabbed the shirred chambray skirt..been eyeing in the catalog and in store! Hope it fits..anyone know if this is TTS? I am usually a 2 and bought that size. Seems like you can wear this w/ just about everything and anything!
ReplyDeletePauline, ITA about the Lady Day -- I actually bought it in a 10T today, whereas I take a straight-up 8 or occasionally a 6 in most J Crew tops. I had the Lady Day in an 8 at one point and it was uncomfortably tight across the chest/back. I was so sad that it didn't fit, but I thought since I'm a little flat up front I could squeeze into it. No dice.
ReplyDelete@Silver.......lol. I think I will skip the backpack! :)
My B&M was not matching the extra 30 off today, I went and checked. And in fact the SAs did not even know sale merch as 30% off. DUN DUN DUNNNNNN....
Is anyone else having problems adding items to their cart?
ReplyDeleteJust bought some suiting pieces less than a week ago before the promo, so back to the store it goes and then reorder. It would just be so much easier if J.Crew could adjust 7 day old or less merchandise with the new prices plus % off promos.
I saw the sale come up on the Yahoo Finance page long before I received and email....first time I ever noticed that...code and all.
ReplyDeletei just rebought suiting as well. i had bought 4 of the superfine cotton pieces at full price (mistake #1) two weeks ago. then they went on sale last week and now they are included in the 30% off. by rebuying the 4 items i am saving $250!!
ReplyDeletei need to have it beaten in my head....never buy FULL price
Well, thank goodness for this blog community or I'd never know that there was a % off sale. The site is not loading at the moment. Anyone having the same issues?
ReplyDeleteOh, has anyone tried/purchased the premium stretch bistro pants? site says "cotton with a hint of stretch...machine wash". Is the fabric anything like the Gap Perfect Straight pants? TIA!
ReplyDeletekitsmommy,
ReplyDeleteI have tried the retro and the dotted tulle fineline, but not the regular fineline. I'm not sure if you have tried the dotted tulle, but that and the retro fit similarly. I don't think you'll find the retro to be too big though. I took my usual 0 in it and it fits perfectly. I usually need a petite and/or a 00 sometimes, but not for the retro.
Oooh, did y'all see the FB post from JC? They're polling to see where Jenna and Frank should road-trip to host a shopping event. CHI, ATL, Boston, Houston or LA.
ReplyDeleteEeeeeeeeeenteresting. And finally, a two-way use of their FB page. I wonder if they hired a social media guru. :P
Stacy,
ReplyDeleteI also bought the Superfine suiting at FP because I thought, 'Suiting rarely goes on sale' so I figured it was a safe bet. Guess I learned my lesson. I too will be saving some $$$, around $130.
kitsmommy,
ReplyDeleteI consider myself a true 0 in JC tops, but I do sometimes have to go down to a 00 in the camis and shells - I have a 0 in the Retro Shell and definitely wouldn't want to size down to a 00, the armholes would definitely be too small (and I have skinny arms).
HTH!
audrybella has a few pics from the March catalog on her blog:
ReplyDeleteaudrybella.blogspot.com
Didn't find anything.
ReplyDeleteIs it?http://audreybella.blogspot.com/
Wolfy: Audrey's blog is Life is Short...Buy the Shoes.
ReplyDeleteAny thoughts on the nylon schoolboy blazer? Quality, fit?
ReplyDeleteMight sit this one out anyway. Not too much else I'm even interested in.
Yet ANOTHER e-mail I didn't get from J. Crew. Is it possible that when I unsubscribed from crewcuts e-mails I accidentally elected to unsubscribe from all?
ReplyDeleteAnyway.
Thanks for posting this... I may need to poke around and see what I can find.
@Stacy or Jenlynn: how's the Superfine cotton fabric? Does it wrinkle easily? TIA!
ReplyDelete@closetcrisis - I have two pairs of the bistros and I really love them. I'm not familiar with the gap pants you mentioned. The fabric is substantial but forgiving without stretching out. I wear them to work all the time, but can also wear out with cute top. My fav JC workhorse pants :)
ReplyDelete@catrina - I bought and returned navy nylon schoolboy blazer. Fit was tts to a little big - the arms felt especially big. I just couldn't figure out how or when I would wear this - and it swishes when you move. I have the gap shrunken navy blazer and that works for me.
SerenitySea and others- Any rec's on sizing for the Siren Dress? I noticed it's available in XXSmall, which has me thinking to size down. Ahhh I hate final sale :(
ReplyDelete@mack: thanks for the tip! the Gap pants are made of 95% cotton/5% spandex fabric. The Bistro's are probably of similar composition. Why don't JC put that sort of into in the product description already?
ReplyDeleteRosie, J.CrewJD, and Elaine - thank you for your advice! I appreciate it and will size up!
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know if the Buffalo check boy shirt in black is on-sale in stores? It's no longer appearing online (only orange and pink show up), so I'm wondering if black finally went on sale and sold out. Thanks!
ReplyDelete@closetcrisis - the bistros are 95% cotton 5% spandex
ReplyDeleteHTH :)
Wow, thanks for posting that code! I was on J Crew this morning but didn't see any promo, didn't check my email. I got a pair of shoes, 30% off and free shipping is significant. Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteClosetCrisis, I have quite a bit of superfine cotton suiting from 2009/10. I find that it can wrinkle up a bit but the wrinkles are soft and don't have a hard crease like some other fabrics if you KWIM. The pieces don't stretch out during the day and the superfine material is supercomfortable. ;^)
ReplyDeleteThe navy and gray from 2009 match the same colors from 2010, which was great for me as I didn't realize how much I liked them until 2009 was mostly sold out. These pieces did go on sale as the season went on, likely because they are spring/summer and not fall/winter pieces. I managed to pick up a few pieces on major sale by the time summer 2010 really hit here in Canada.
I have two of the Emmaleigh dresses, which Marietta recommended and they are incredibly flattering, just as she said. I'm not sure of the fit of this year's Allura dress but it looks like it could be a good basic. The pants look similar to last year's cut, which fit very nicely and the pencil skirts are perfection. I only have the suit jacket in navy since I don't have to wear suits often and I have enough in neutrals but I love these pieces for spring/summer and bought up multiples in the gray, navy and beechwood and I would buy more this year if they had new colors.
I also have the bistro pants from 2010 and they are indeed 95% cotton and 5% spandex in a heavier weight. I don't shop at Gap brands so have no idea if they are anything like the pants you mentioned.
HTH
MDPA: I got the black buffalo check shirt in-store for $39.99 last week! HTH!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mack & XOXO for all the helpful hints/info! Love this community! Everyone's so helpful! Just came back from the Gap at the mall and found the pant I was eyeballing gave me droopy crotch. So may just bite on some JC pants on this promo :)
ReplyDeleteI was looking to shop with this code, but J. Crew did not add any items this morning. Nothing to pick from:2 jewelry items, 2 handbags...
ReplyDeletei got suits on sale (though they weren't final sale)! :)
ReplyDeleteBecause of this blog I've learned that JCrew likes to hide things during a sale, so through a search I got Lolli pants, Gingham Perfect Shirt and Marled Thandie Blazer all at an extra 30% off. These items do not appear anywhere in the sale section...sneaky sneaky!
ReplyDeleteThey finally restocked the vintage matchstick cords in my tall size, so I picked them up in warm taupe, graphite, and aluminum. I might as well get all the colors when they're $14 each! Also splurged on the double-cloth bonbon coat in the very fabulous torch orange color, which was $112 after discount. Not bad!
ReplyDeleteWow Caitlin, $14 for J Crew cords is a really amazing deal.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping to snag a few more things tomorrow morning, I went on too late and probably missed them this morning.
Looking forward to seeing new additions/pop backs to the sale section. Grabbed the rainy day utility jacket in size 0 this mornig for $70. I love the jacket, so I'm glad I waited for such a great deal!
ReplyDeleteReview of the frosted paisley shirt & cotton bell skirt (on promo) in this post.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mack! The swishy noise is exactly the kind of thing I wanted to know about. My wallet thanks you!
ReplyDeleteThanks Gigi! I liked the shirt on the web site but probably wouldn't have gone for it if I hadn't seen the photo of you wearing it. Now I'm definitely going to buy it. J Crew should pay you a commission. :)
ReplyDeleteAcheema, if you do a search on this blog I and few others reviewed the tuxedo jacket. In brief, the sizing was all over the place. I ordered 2 size 2s (1 size down than normal) and they were totally different sizes. One fit, one was way too small. When I returned one, the SA said she'd heard the sizing was wonky on this jacket. I wouldn't go with this one on final sale.
ReplyDeleteThe Final Sale sure was hoppin' yesterday morning! I managed to snag a pair of 27 S bootcut corduroy pants in golden wood for $19.99! It's so hard to find pants in short sizes on sale, let alone in a color you want!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, I forgot about the promo code, but was able to call CS and was able to have them apply the discount to my order. This was my first experience with CS and was quite satisfied.
I see that the striped sequin tee is back, I wonder what happened to it yesterday? I'm glad that it's not an FS item, I bought two and hope to keep them but like to have the option of returning them. I bought 5 tops and cardis, and after deducting 30% the total was at $103 so qualified for free shipping. That's a pretty phenomenal average price per item.
ReplyDeletei'm glad i jumped the first morning. the superfine cotten suiting is no longer on sale. sneaky jcrew.
ReplyDeleteKendra, in the words of Stephanie Tanner, "How rude!"
ReplyDeleteI ordered superfine cotton suiting yesterday as well. I was considering going back for the beechwood pieces, but not anymore!
I ordered some J.Crew Factory items and went to a Factory store Tuesday. The Factory store had 40% of all knits.
ReplyDeleteI bought:
Factory flouncy flowers scoopneck tee (Item #38202), $29.50 - 30% off = $20.65. I bought this in white. Fits like a vintage or tissue tee. It's a little see-through. The petals are t-shirt material and lay fairly flat. I've also tried on the Anthropologie Winner's Circle tee which was ridiculously see-through and has a strange hem.
Jaspe Open Crewneck tee in Stone melange, $49.50 (I got it for $29.70 because of the 40% off promotion). I don't see it on the website. I bought an S and I usually wear and S in the longsleeve tees from J.Crew. The material is 90% cotton, 10% wool. I didn't find it itchy at all. Gigi's Gone Shopping reviewed it here. The sales associate had it on under a navy blue Jackie and it looks adorable.
Factory end-on-end camp shirt (Item #23870), $49.50, $34.65 (after 30% off). I can't compare it to the Contrast Stitch Perfect Shirt, which this is a dupe of, since I never tried on the original. The factory shirt is 100% cotton and silky to the touch. I wear a 6 in J.Crew shirts and bought a Small.
I tried on:
The Factory vintage zebra-stripe (Item #39084) and Factory black blossoms cardigans (Item #37803). They both fit like the retail Jackies. They were nice but I didn't love them enough to buy them
Factory corwin cardigan (Item #32718). The Shadow color isn't a true navy. They were a little too long and sloppy on my 5'2" frame. I ended buying the Gap Shirred shoulder cardigan instead (Style #802760), $24.99-$39.99, 25% off your purchase until 2/26. They come in petite sizes and fit me better.
The list of links to irl pics of sale pics is up in this post. I also included a pic of the plaid Eliza tee, which I removed the black beading from.
ReplyDelete
