Shop J.Crew's Sale (with 100 new styles!)

J.Crew sent an email reminding customers to take an additional 30% off all sale items (no min) with promo code GOODNEWS. This code expires Friday, March 15, 2013.
According to the email, new items made it to Sale. "Thanks!" to (original) Genny (in this post), who let us know that the Silk Butterfly Blouse (item 91864; $150.00) is now $99.99, and the Indigo Floral Quilted Jacket (item 63825; $228.00) is now $198. Both items are relatively new arrivals too!
Plus, J.Crew has a nice update to their Final Sale section online (click here) earlier this morning. Some merchandise increase for everyone (900+ for Women, although right now 820+, and 300+ for Men).

As you would imagine, pop-backs are selling out quickly. Although, promo priced items are still available (and not Final Sale- worth trying out!)

Will you be checking out the Final Sale section? Are there any items you are hoping to see or to get?

    1. I’m so glad you reviewed the Color-fleck Popover. I saw this in person…super cute, but didn’t try it on. Hope it makes it to sale….and yes, I would love it in as a button down as well. I think it would actually be cuter!

    2. I loved the material! If it came in the boy shirt I would really be willing to pay full price

  2. Seriously considering sizing up for the butterfly blouse since they don't have my size in stock. In LOVE with that piece, and I wear my polka dot Blythe all the time. It would be nice to have another one on rotation!

  5. Along with the update, there are lots of new Promo-priced Items and markdowns this morning. I've updated the list and noted all of the new ones in this post on my blog.

  6. I was and still am a huge fan of the more colorful butterfly printed items that came out many years ago. This one is pretty but too plain for me; if I did not know about the other one though I might be tempted. I guess I feel too old to wear it at 40? Just me though. I am glad to let others know it was on sale! I was really surprised about it and the Liberty quilted jacket being on sale.

  7. I've started earmarking the styles I really love with every new rollout to try and avoid impulse purchases that I later regret, I had the Butterfly Blouse in that list and when I saw it in sale this morning with the extra 30% off I bit. I called JCrew directly and they waived the shipping cost for me too. I was surprised to see it on sale this quickly and I have a feeling it will sell out after this first cut so I'm happy I got it. I love the silk blouses from JCrew so my hopes are high on this one, hope it lives up to the expectations!

    1. How do you get them to waive shipping costs on a sale item?

    2. I mentioned seeing something about seeing an advertisement about free shipping when you ordered through a VPS, the SA I spoke with offered it without any issue and I placed my order over the phone and had the shipping waived

  9. I *knew* that I would be able to get the quilted jacket for cheaper if I waited. Was thinking I'd need to reorder and return the one still hanging in my closet with tags on it, but I called CS this morning and they allowed as a "one time courtesy" a price adjustment. I wasn't sure they would apply the GOODNEWS promotion because the jacket isn't final sale, but it worked online, so i was able to get CS to apply it. Glad I don't have to go through the trouble of re ordering and returning the one I have. And I got $47 extra off the jacket. Hooray :)

    1. Yes, the only one I think might sell out/not make it to sale: is the Chive/pink colored one as it seems to be selling well.

  10. Shoot, I was too late on the Butterfly Blouse. If anyone had a chance to get a 2 or a 4 and you find it doesn't work for you, please let me know!

  11. I have been searching high and low for the CeCe flats in Mercury Grey (9.5). Has anyone seen these in store or know of anyone who is selling them? I've had no luck and these adorable shoes are all I can focus on!

  12. A few of the new styles added have awfully small price reductions. If the sale price is less than 10% off the regular price(some are as low as 5% off) then it seems sorta fishy.

I bit on a few items with much larger reductions :)

  14. My VPS ordered the green tweed skirt. I've been waiting for this one to go on sale. :)

Btw, he told me that corporate has okayed the educator/college discount with extra percent off sale prices. I'm grateful that they've changed it back, but I sure wish they'd make up their mind about the policy and then keep it.

    1. That's good to hear, math teacher..I'm in college, and the 15% on top of sale % off helps me a lot. :)

    2. I also heard from my ps that the stacking of the educator/ student discount was now ok again!

    3. At checkout today I inquired about the student/educator discount and was very snippily told by the SA "WE do NOT do that any more." Sheesh...you'd think I was asking her to take the 15% out of her paycheck or something.

  18. Went by my local store today to check out the sale (Fair Oaks Mall, VA). One thing I saw that was on sale that I haven't seen anyone mention were the Cece flats. They are 20% off! Also, apparently ALL tops (not just tees) are 20% off as well. I wouldn't have known this had I not heard the SA tell it to the woman in line in front of me who was purchasing a couple tops. She said loudly, "why didn't you tell me this before"? Sometimes I wonder if Jcrew really wants to sale clothes?

I bought the medallion paisley scarf (which is much prettier IRL than online), a skinny calf hair belt, and a shirt for my daughter. I had seen the belt in the sale section online for a while but hadn't purchased it yet because either my size wasn't available or their was no additional percent off. I asked if they would match the online price and she said she would check. Well, when she scanned it, it rang up at the online sale price anyway. Then she was like "ha, ha this is on sale but not marked down" and mentioned it to another SA.....seriously?

It is ridiculous the amount of things that aren't marked down (like Gigi has pointed out) and the difference in prices in store vs on-line! Don't they realize that people would probably buy more items and spend more money if they knew the correct price? I'm just glad that I found this blog so I can save money and still get (most) things I want :)
