  1. Yes, I was hopping on to say I finally got the Wintress Puffer in black in my size. Also, the Medallion Paisley Pencil skirt is on sale, a tweed mini is on sale, the Matchstick Jeans in Old Glory are markdowned. Lots new stuff!

    1. I ordered the medallion paisley pencil skirt - I really wanted a nice print skirt for this spring/summer, and I love that print!

    1. Me too... I'm interested in a few things but there has not been enough of a discount to buy sale. Plus I already bought some new release things with the 20% off so I am not that tempted by the regular sale prices.

  4. I did check it out and was able to get the Scroll print bandeau tank with free shipping and no final sale.

I am working on the complete list of new promo-priced items, as well as some new markdowns and will have it up on my blog in just a bit. :)

  5. The suede miri heels also on sale... but I have a feeling the colors are not as pictured so I won't be buying those.

    1. So tempting... but no! not without a better price. I love these.

  6. I have to call a halt on my JC spending for a while. I'm finally back to normal after spending 10 years of going up and down with pregnancy weight, so I've been a fiend lately! I did manage to finally get myself on the beaded rose necklace waitlist yesterday. (At 5:40 am! They were gone by 6:15 I think.)

  7. Sorry to be off topic, but i just found this post on cupcakes and cashmere, where she destroys the Jcrew keeper chambray for a used look.
    See it here.
It seems so wasteful to me:(

    1. Also, now it looks like it's from the early 90's grunge period. Yuck.

Am I the only one that totally ignores the mega bloggers, or however you want to refer to them? Full time bloggers? What's the point? (Sorry, I'm cranky today.)

    2. I can't imagine doing any of that on a J. Crew Keeper Chambray, it's too nice a shirt. I could see doing it on one from Good Will maybe.

    3. she also has DIY embellished sunglasses which look equally rediculous. I ignore bloggers pretty much - for obvious reasons.

    4. I also tend to ignore the "mega" bloggers (great term, JCrewJD) but I was curious because I love that shirt. That is the most ridiculous thing I have ever seen.

    5. What a stupid idea, apparently a lot of her other readers agree. How on earth is taking a new and expensive shirt and making it look like you pulled it out of the dumpster clever or resourceful? She could have easily gone to a thrift store and found a shirt for a couple bucks and made it look distressed (although I still think that look is bad period).

    6. I just looked at the link, it almost makes me nauseous seeing someone take scissors and sandpaper to a Keeper Chambray shirt. I live in Seattle, home of 90's grung, and we do NOT do that. In fact, grunge is quite over.

    7. I think she's fallen prey to the same disease that's infected a lot of the MegaBloggers: they quit their day jobs to blog full-time and then either run out of ideas due to isolation OR the site becomes a full-on $$$ grab with pages full of sponsored posts and link-bait. They're so caught up with "branding" themselves that they forget that people need a reason to read them in the first place.

    8. I once heard someone say that doing this to one's clothes makes a mockery of the poor. The idea wouldn't have leapt to my mind unprompted, but it is food for thought.
Deep thoughts aside, I love my keeper chambray shirt, and she'd have to pry it from my cold dead hands to do that to it!

  8. I also noticed that the white color of the silk tipped boy shirt and the medallion paisley pencil are on sale. Yay!

  9. I just finished with the list of New Promo-priced items & markdowns for the women, and there are a lot of them today. You can see that list here on my blog.

I will have the men's list updated later this morning, too.

  10. Hopefully after the SUNNY promo ends there will be another extra % off promo. Jcrew has been really generous with promos and skimpy with 2nd or 3rd markdowns this winter. I have lots that I am interested in but will wait for better prices. Plus this way it will be on next months Jcrew card bill! Ha

  11. There isn't anything in sale that I need to have right now. I'm telling myself I won't buy until a 30% + shipping promo. We'll see what comes after the t-shirt sale...I am doing a B&M return tonight so I may do some recon for potential future purchases.

  12. I ordered a couple of things a few weeks ago that are now promo priced / marked down. They do still have tags on them, so I could have returned and re-ordered, but I just called J. Crew CS and they agreed to price adjust for me. I am a bad full-price shopper. I sometimes order for size with the intention to return and reorder on FS, but a lot of times I end up loving the item and keeping it. I'm happy to get a price adjustment, though. Makes it easier to swallow. It is hard to believe that these new items hit sale or promo so quickly. I really need to train myself not to purchase any new arrivals at full price. There is always a deal to be had. Especially since I don't tend to love the pieces that end up with all the buzz (i.e. Peony tee and Rose beaded necklace -- they are great pieces, just not my style).

  13. I am really surprised that the Liberty schoolboy got marked down already, I thought it was receiving a lot of love and a lot of JCAs bought it full price. I am waiting for the Tilda to go on sale or promo so nothing for me this time.

    1. I bought the Liberty Schoolboy this weekend, I haven't even received it yet so I called for an adjustment. I was surprised too. I was really irritated that I didn't receive a 20% promo email but I got a bigger discount from this.

    2. Not surprised. Way over priced and several comments about the brass buttons not being well liked.

    3. My VPS was shocked that the liberty blazer was marked down. She also said she was thinking there "might" be a percent off sale next week, but she was not 100% sure.

  14. I don't usually buy stuff full price because I have an ample closet but I decided to learn from past mistakes and order up the silver Viv flats. Last year, I missed out on the Viv Bow flats and I still kick myself about them. They were the "ones that got away".

I ordered the linen perfect shirt and some socks. That's what I was initially going for and then I noticed that the stock on the silver Vivs was low and so since I've been eyeing them for 4 months now and they never went on sale...........into my shopping bag they go!

I suppose tomorrow there will be a 30% site-wide sale, LOL. Oh well! Cheers, have a good day out there.

    1. I know what you mean on the Vivs. I got the clay Viv Bow flats but wish I had also bought the mint. I had a couple of chances at popbacks too and still hesitated.

    2. Ah but you know that if there is a 30% off sale, the silver Vivs will mysteriously disappear from the web site!

    3. I just bought the silver Everly pumps with the 20% off because the stock was getting low in my size. Love metallic shoes!

    4. If something ever disappears from the site during a sale / % off period, just search for it...sometimes it comes up and you can still purchase it. I got the dreamweaver wedges along with a few other items I can't recall at a great price by doing this.

    5. Thanks patsystone, I will try that next time!

  15. I was going to splurge on the stretch suede skirt which had popped back in my size, but after receiving the wrong item from a recent JC online purchase, I just didn't have the heart :-(

    1. I know that is why I stay away from final sale. I got the wrong item and wrong size on orders WAY too MANY times and it does make one discouraged and put out!!!

  16. Ohh if only they had another percent off...sigh! but my bank balance sure is happy. Nothing for me this time round.

  17. Has anyone seen the Waverly Chinos in tea rose in person? Are they super bright or neon? They look lovely online but I know that the website can be deceiving with colors. Thanks in advance!

    1. I've seen them and sent them back. They are a nice shade, but couldn't make them work in my closet. I just didn't feel confident. They had a tinge of coral in them. My youngest son saw me trying them on and said I looked like a salmon.

      Delete
    2. LOL! Thank you, Stacy66. I think I'd be safe to stay with them in a neutral color. I tend to feel a little self conscious in bright clothing like that myself. I can definitely hear my 4 year old son making that comment ;) They are so honest, aren't they? Thanks again!

    3. If you are looking for a more subtle alternative, last year J. Crew had a blush color (pale pink) in the Waverlys. Not sure if it pops back or not since I haven't been looking, but I like this color a lot. The Tea Rose looks really pretty too but I always chicken out on the brighter pants colors.

    4. I bit the gun and ordered a pair of them - glad to hear that they aren't neon! I definitely hemmed and hawed for a bit too

    1. I don't think so. Honestly I think they want us to feel lucky we don't have to give them a kidney to get our hands on that darn necklace!

  19. I peeked in a B&M shop. The sale section was quite large, and full of size ranges. I thought the prices were still pretty high- probably why there were so many sizes. The coat I glanced at had a price of $229- very high for March, IMO. The Cece flats, I believe were 20% off.

  20. I went to my BM last night. I think they had just moved a lot of stuff to sale. There was a bigger selection than usual and it was not a disaster area yet. Some prices were OK, some not so much. No additional discounts. I saw a lot of the striped sweaters with the peter pan liberty collar, a few tippis and jackies, puffer vests, cafe capris, pants, and a lot of button down shirts. I tried on the cafe capris (bleh), double serge wool pencil skirt in poppy (i love this skirt but my regular size was REALLY small and they didn't have any other sizes), pink tippi, and the shrunken shirt in dot oxford lilac/navy. The shrunken shirt was ridiculous. I am not sure the benefit of a 'shrunken' fit with sleeves that are 2-3 inches too short (but not short enough to be 3/4 length) and a torso that is barely long enough to tuck. I left empty-handed.

  21. I was able to snag the adorable Jackie Cardigan in Stripe with Anchor Buttons at my local J.Crew yesterday for only $20! I love the pink and navy combo. See it here: http://fashionfindsonadime.com/?p=1160

  22. Finally caught the black Curator Pants on a popback this morning! I've been stalking those ones for ages. Not pleased about paying shipping and not getting my student discount (my VPS normally applies the discount to my online orders), but I had to pull the trigger right away. Now hopefully they fit and don't look ridiculous on me, I've never tried them on (they aren't marked final sale)!
