This is a fantastic offer, especially with all those new arrivals and in-store promotions. {Wahoo!} My top pick is the Factory intarsia Charley sweater in nautical rope (Item 63659; $78.00). I love the nautical image and the Sandstone Navy shade is perfect for Spring.
Happy Factory Store Shopping!!! :)
Darn! It's in store only! The one and only Factory store in the Toronto area is like an hour away. #notworththedrivetovaughanmills :(
ReplyDeleteCynthia, funny I was just thinking same thing (I'm downtown), esp. not with holiday weekend traffic on 400. Plus the twice I have stopped in since opening selection pretty limited (20% of the items online?)
DeleteOh wow! This sounds like a great deal. I really like the factory mini in retro lemon I got a few weeks back, so I may have to pick up another color. In case anyone else is thinking about it, you can see the factory mini on my on my blog Via La Femme.
ReplyDeleteThe closest factory store to me is an hour away too. I have some stuff to return but still not sure if it is worth it. Then again, I've been meaning to do some outlet shopping for a while now. Hmmm....
ReplyDeleteIt says associate scan the bar code I do not have this e-mail. I called the CS and they told me that do not know about this offer!
ReplyDeleteSandriPera: Just print out the image above (I provide the link in the post too). The barcode is right on there. You don't necessarily need the email- the printout version will work just fine. :)
Deletesandripera - Wanted to add that the telephone reps usually don't know about in-store promos. Alexis is right. You will be fine w/the link she (graciously) provided :)
DeleteGrazie!
DeleteCiao.
Sandra
Gah, I KNEW as soon as I cut the tags off my Factory purchases that there would be a new promo/mark-down...
ReplyDeleteI hate when this happens!!! And this happens to me *all* the time. I always wait, and when I finally give up, the markdown appears! ;)
DeleteI recently updated the Irl Pic Guide - Factory. Incl links to pics of the anchor top, sweater, a couple of the skirts and more.
ReplyDeleteAwesome -- I was planning on going tomorrow anyway, so now I can maybe afford to actually buy something, haha!
ReplyDeleteI recently bought and reviewed the Charley sweater in allover apple. This is the Factory's version of the apple print Tippi from last year. I really like this sweater (wearing it today, in fact). See review here.
ReplyDeleteI bought this sweater yesterday after reading your review. I love this sweater!
DeleteWearing mine today too. I love it! I got the retail apple print sandals and shorts last summer and couldn't resist getting the sweater too.
DeleteHmm..this might make me go get the car and head to the outlets. Thank you! ;)
ReplyDeleteJust made a huge purchase last weekend at my factory store ... Does anyone know if they can do a price adjustment? It would be 1 week from tomorrow (Friday)
ReplyDeleteI just called mine and asked the same thing. I was told that they don't normally do PAs, but she took down my name and said they'd take care of it this one time if I came back in.
DeleteI called and was told no .. But I could return and rebuy everything. And now to sound really greedy ... Are you able to use your student discount with it?
DeleteYes you can stack the student discount. And if your local JCF is a tanger outlet, you can also use Tanger coupons. I plan on getting almost 80% of factory items.
Deletemy coupon for the Seattle Premium outlet says you you cannot combine promos /sales and other with coupons. I do not expect to get more than 50% off. 80 I believe is alot but I will try...
DeleteWent to my factory store today and was told I couldn't use my student discount with the 50% off. The 25% off $125 coupon they mailed out couldn't be used with it, either. Policies seem to vary by store, however, so it can't hurt to ask!
DeleteI just stopped by my JCrew Factory store here in Oklahoma City and there were signs up everywhere about the 50% off sale. I didn't even need to use my coupon.
ReplyDeleteIf the barcode is "One-time use only", I don't think those who need a code can all use Alexis' print out, or am I missing something?
ReplyDeleteDuring a previous promo, I didn't have my email w/me, & the store mgr still gave me the discount. He said alot of customers try to bring up the email on their mobile devices, which don't always get a good signal in the store, so they just apply it if the customer says they received it but don't have it with them.
In store, they had a huge sign announcing the sale on the front window. There was signs all over the store as well. There was no need to show anything at check out, as the discount was being given to all customers automatically.
DeleteJustVisiting: The code on the email is not unique- it is universal. So anyone can use the printout above. I think it is one-time, per transaction at the store. I am sure if you printed two out and came back to the store twice in a day, there would be no issues. :)
DeleteThanks Alexis! Ahh, I thought it was a one time per use, *unique* code. I knew I was missing something! (duh!) ;)
DeleteHere are some reviews before you hit the store!!
ReplyDelete5 inch summer plaid madras short - love, love, love! These fit true to size to a bit big. The colors are really nice, not quite as bright as pictures online. Why these were marked final sale online as a new item will probably remain a mystery of the crewniverse.
Stripe boat neck tee - this is a remake of the retail one from last year. The retail one ran small last year, I took a size small as I do not like too tight t-shirts. So I ordered a small in the factory version and it is huge!
Sailboat t shirt - kind of a disappointment. The sailboat has a pink tinge to it and the shirt is rather cheap looking. Definitely buy this one on sale.
Belted sundress in sailboat print - someone else commented that this is very sheer. Wow, it sure is, no lining at all, which is disappointing because the little girls' dress in the same print is lined and is adorable! I asked my kids if they could see through the dress and the verdict was not on top, but definitely on the bottom. Not sure what to do about this one because it is really cute. Took a size xs, my usual dress size is 2 or sometimes 0.
Boys' surf dog tee - pleasantly surprised! Nice thick cotton, sized up for my 5 year old son to 6-7, since I think crewcuts runs small and I like to be able to dry things without fear of shrinkage.
Hope this helps! Happy shopping!!
I went in today and wasn't able to stack the student discount :( But I still got the printed skinny jean in river blue dot and the printed cotton mini in blue and orange. They were both already on clearance, so super great deals! I was surprised that skirt fit a tad big, but still perfect! I had looked at the pants before but they were $95...paid $25 today! I go up a size in those because the toothpick are always too low-rise in my regular size- they still look great! Hurry to your store!
ReplyDeleteWent in this evening and as others have reported, wasn't able to stack the 50% off with any other discounts. Picked up a skirt, tank, sleeveless popover, sweater, and a necklace. Half of the ticketed price is right where I'm comfortable with Factory items, so I was happy.
ReplyDeleteOn another note, I'm a big fan of the pointe pant, but noticed several slight variations in store. Some had size zippers, some had back zippers, and some were made of a significantly thinner fabric than the ones I ordered from the Factory website (and wear constantly).
I wanted to buy the Factory striped Villa dress as a backup for the retail version I love and found it fit slightly differently. The factory version's fitted torso (the part above the waist seam) comes down about 1.25 inch longer and the skirt is about 1.5 to 2 inches shorter than the retail. Result? The proportions are off and it's not nearly as flattering as the retail version -- enough to make it look dowdy. It may work for someone who has a long torso, but I thought the shorter skirt made it look awkward.
ReplyDeleteI'm returning it. Just an FYI for those who are considering this item.
I bought the blue version of this Factory dress and was actually very pleased with the fit. I also own the retail striped Villa and had some minor fit issues with the waist being too high, so the longer bodice in the Factory version is perfect on me. Also preferred the shorter skirt as on me, the longer retail version appears slightly dowdy. Thought the armholes were cut better on the Factory dress as well. For reference, I am 5'7" and took a medium in both versions. So much depends on body proportion.
DeleteI visited my store today, but I left without anything. I was interested in the linen dot sweater, but they didn't have any left. I tried on the Factory intarsia Charley sweater in nautical rope (Item 63659; $78.00) that Alexis references above, but it is not a good color for my complexion. I don't like the fit of the factory button-ups, and the rest of the store is a little too neon for my tastes right now. My store would have let me stack with the educator's discount, but I just wasn't feeling anything. I noticed that I was the only person in the store older than about 25, so I may just be aged out of what they have right now. I don't ever feel that way at the regular J. Crew, and I really would like to have more love for the factory store, as it is ironically about 35 minutes closer to me. Ah well.
ReplyDeleteWent to J. Crew Factory at Limerick PA this morning. What. A. Mob! Amazing--I'd never seen the store this crowded. Under normal circumstances, the store is neat and tidy. Today--everything strewn around! I waited on a line for almost 30 minutes just to get into the dressing room. Ended up with a cute pink and purple tunic that looks great with the white denim shorts I picked up. Also picked up a green and white checked button up shirt and a cute scarf with little anchors! Would've made more purchases if the store was not so crazy! When I left, the line for the fitting rooms was almost to the front door! Nuts!
