Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the WINTER sale, or to see some new SPRING arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  6. II don't have a B&M so I am still trying to justify ordering one of the hummingbird items. Thinking of the capris since the blouse is more $

  7. I did yesterday and tried the eyelet top. TTS, not billowy. Cute, but overpriced.

    Also tried the liberty top with the elastic at the bottom. Cute, but neckline is super wide (can't wear a normal bra) and bottom elastic rides up (shocker). I thought I'd hate it but it's sort of cute, I guess. The june's meadow print was already on sale for $79.99 as someone else mentioned. I am a 6/8 and a small worked well.

  9. Went Wednesday and also went back Thursday because I bought the Resin Tile Necklace, that Jenna Lyons wore at the Today show. Since it was on sale, for $69.99, the 20% off was applied to the necklace since it was a sale item. If it was at full price, I won't get the 20%. And I walked away with it for $61.00 with tax, Yay!

    But on Wednesday I tried on a few things I liked from this roll-out that my B&M carries:
    >Eyelet Top in Deep Aubergine. Cute. Fits TTS. Good thick fabric, not flimsy.

    >Eyelet Cafe Capri in navy. Also thick fabric. I like it. Perfect for SF spring/summer weather.

    >The Collection jean jacket. Runs small. Sleeves are short. perfect for my 4'11 frame. I like it.

    >Saw the Indigo Floral Popover and was surprised at how cute it looks IRL. Perfect casual shirt for wearing around with white skinny jeans. Good thick fabric. Not flimsy like the Liberty print shirts.

    >Saw both Jeweled Sweatshirt and Eyelet Sweatshirt. Cute. The Eyelet sweatshirt should be worn with a cami inside, there are sheer holes from the eyelet flowers.

    >Bazaar Print Silk Popover-Cute. Fits TTS. I'm not sold on how its priced @ $175 and the silk is pretty thin. I noticed the actual shirt's wrists is not black as how it is from the photo online. What happened there?

    >Also tried on a couple chambray shirts-the white/black dots and circle chambray popover. Not impressed with the white/black dots, but liked the circle chambray popover.

    I didnt buy any of what I tried on at the store, instead I used my 20% card holder online to buy the Cafe Capri Eyelet Pant Petite in navy and the Collection Jean Jacket, because I like the 60 day return policy better than the store's 30 day return policy. I'm fickle about what I buy, in case I see something within the 60 day time frame, I'll have the option of returning if I see something better.
    As far as the other clothes, I will probably wait for it to go on sale... :)

    1. Tried on and loved the eyelet sweatshirt.
      On the shorter side, which is wonderful - usually way too long. Oatmeal color. I asked about other colors and it may be coming in a more gray hue. Could not find the sweatshirt online yet in either color.
      I would probably wear it with a tissue tee.

    2. I saw the sales associate wearing it with a turquoise color button up under it and it looked great!

    3. Does anyone have an item # for the eyelet sweatshirt? I couldn't seem to find it online.

    4. The item number is 44933 but I could not locate it online either.

    5. Are you referring to the new vintage jean jacket? How is material on it meaning is it soft like the Nolita jackets?

      Delete
    6. Hi TXgirl14: Yes, the Vintage Denim Jacket. It wasn't as soft as the Nolita Jacket. In person the Vintage Denim Jacket looks acid-y wash, it reminded me of the 80's but tailored for 2013.
      I still ordered it, even though I wasn't sure of the wash of the jean. It looked good on Jenna when I saw her wear it on the Today show, and how its styled online, I'll see how i pair it with my clothes.

    7. Thanks for the info. I'll have to check it out. I wear the heck out of my Nolita jacket in Great Lakes wash, but want a new jacket in a different color.

  13. OT but Madewell launched the reviews feature on their website this morning.. It seems pretty well done and includes both positive and negative reviews, although the default view sorts them from highest ratings to lowest so it can be deceiving if you only read the first few. Also, the option to upload photos to accompany the reviews (like they do on many other sites) would be a huge improvement. I'm just so happy they finally did it! Hopefully JC follows suit.

  15. I noticed signs for:

    * 25% off scarves
    * 25% off iPhone cases
    * 30% off belts

    Pricing notes in the In-Store Price Guide. The prices aren't majorly different, but as usual there are variances between in-store & online.

  16. OT, but I have a 20% code for online- expires tonight. The first person who leaves a comment on my blog with their e-mail can have it. I hate to see it go to waste!

  19. I went to return and noticed a couple of things I hadn't seen before. A version of the Translucent Stone Necklace, in pale pink. A bit short for me, but very pretty. There was also a solid colored sleeveless peplum top in a substantial knit in navy and ivory colors. This had a full back zipper, covered by a big flap of fabric. The back zip seemed a bit over-worked, but the top fit nicely and the peplum seemed like it was just the right size and shape. I tried on the Scout Cargo Chinos and really liked them, but they are a straight fit. The size that fit my hips gapped at the waist.

    1. I found the same thing about the Scout Cargo Chinos. Since the regular Scout Chinos fit great, I'm not sure why they called the cargo style "Scout". I had to size up, then the waist was too big.

    2. Cate, I bought that peplum top yesterday, it fits great! I will post pics later this evening.
