Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the WINTER sale, or to see some new SPRING arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  1. I will be making some returns and exchanges but that's all for now.

If anyone finds a pair of Lula glitter flats in size 8.5, perferably silver during their shopping travels, please email me at n.gentilini@yahoo.com! Thank you!

  2. I may stop by to make a return and check out the sale section if I get the chance.

Also, for those interested, there are a few new Promo-priced items again this morning, as well as several new markdowns, including the Mini Edie purse in Python and Cropped Matchstick jean in Indigo Floral. They are all noted at the top of this post.

  4. No Easter Weekend. Leaving for a week long trip. Must finish getting ready today. I haven't even had time to try on my items that came yesterday! Will have to wait:) All I did was grab the one item I need for the trip out of the box!

  5. I caved and ordered the neon violet Camille dress Tuesday night, so if it ever ships, I'm crossing my fingers that I *don't* have to make a return... but I may go anyways for some more retail therapy. Would like to try on some of their sandals.

  6. If anyone spots the retail boyfriend fatigue jacket in a medium will you let me know? I'm hoping to find this before the sale ends (it's backordered right now until July). erikahoenke@gmail.com

I so wish that there was a Factory store near me (esp with the 50% off sale). I've had amazing luck with them lately:
    - the Sylvia wedges are perfect (I wore them here); almost an exact version of the retail Martina wedges in bronzed clay
    - J. Crew Factory ponte pants (I wore them here with the chiffon dot top): I've never tried the retail Pixies, but I love the Factory ponte pants; they are incredibly slimming and feel very well made.
    - I just bought the Factory linen dot sweater and version of the Gondola stripe top and highly recommend both!

  7. All stores should be having an additional 30% off sale items now AND 25% off ladies full price apparel.

Also, wanted to let you ladies know that the Perfect Shirt in citrus is now available in stores! It is the cutest thing and is made of a heavenly blend of cotton and silk voile. I posted it here http://www.sincerelysammie.com/

    Happy shopping!

  9. Stopped by yesterday to return some new arrivals that didn't work out and left with the Transluscent stone necklace in the mint color that my VPS saved for me. She also matched the price with the online promo. I love her. She is so warm and inviting and like me is a constant sale shopper. We're also the same size, so she loves when I make returns.

Anyway, back on point, my store's sale section seems to have not changed in the past few weeks. Same old stuff with the 30% off. Seeming randon full price items had 25% off signage on them but if something doesn't have an extra 25% off just ask them to match the online price. I doubt that they'd want to loose a sale and some associates don't even know about it.

    1. Have they extended the sale again? It nows says through 03/31/13 on the website.

    2. D*ska - yes, now thru Sat, 3/31. Madewell's 25% off of $125+ was extended thru 4/2.

To All - I think the J Crew store promo is now 25% off regular price items. 30% off sale items, making them final sale. Cardholders should request the 30% off online price match for using their card. If you get denied an online price match, I would ask a mgr. I heard someone get denied yesterday by an employee who was telling everyone 'no.' To everything. I don't know where they found her.

  10. Going South this weekend, so definitely dropping by the store.

  11. Sorry, OT, but has anyone tried the high-waist swim briefs before? I'm thinking about trying them out but not sure how high up they will go on my belly. In the product shot it looks like exactly where I'd want it to hit me, but OFF the model, they look a little lower. Also, do they run pretty tts?

    1. I've tried them! They hit my stomach right where they do in the picture (for reference, I'm 5'7" and got the medium). They fit true to size and are pretty slimming, but I felt kind of granny-ish in them so I returned them...I don't know why since they definitely have a cool retro feel, I think I just am not used to swim briefs with so much fabric.

  12. Did stop by briefly, sale section huge at Cherry Creek, CO store, extra 30% off sale prices. But it was lots of sweaters, nothing I needed. The June Meadow shirt was marked $99.99 still, they did have the blazer though which was also $99,99 cheaper than online. Sorry did not check sizes. The promo for 25% off was going on all women's full priced items.

  14. Have any of you ladies tried on or seen the Bennet Striped Cropped Chino in person? I'm attracted to those crazy striped pants for some reason, but having some trouble committing given the large price tag for chino. I'd love your feedback. Thanks!

    1. I tried them and they were very unflattering on me. Even the SA advised me against them. Disappointing because I really liked them in theory! They fit TTS but the stripes just didn't work; they should have put the wide stripes at the bottom and the thin stripes at the top.

  15. OT but there is one size 4 scroll print skirt on sale for 109.99 online right now. It does NOT show up in the sale section and neither does the clover tweed pencil skirt in green in many sizes.

  16. Does anyone know how much the color fleck popover is in store right now? Thank you!

    ReplyDelete

    1. it was 59.99 and i got 30% off and 15% off so paid about $35

  17. i had to do some returns. got the fleck popover for $35, like i said above, and the pink stripe popover for $29. they still had a ton of pink ones left. not too much else that was new. they did let me use my student discount on top of the sales.

I'll be posting reviews soon for the amie maxidress in stripe, which is gorgeous and reasonable at $60. also tried on the dree dress in stripe, review coming. i would size up one.

    2. Huh I went to mine and the pink was still full price I even had them ring it up

    3. Laura - There is a pink stripe oxford popover that was $59.99 before any discounts last time I saw it a couple weeks ago. The pink cotton silk popover is still regular price.

  18. Hey does anyone know if the in store promo is just for women's full priced items? Also if anyone uses sovereign bank I just noticed they have 10% cash back for online j crew purchases.

  19. I swung by the Soho and 5th Ave stores today, both of which seemed to be doing brisk business. I ended up caving on the cardholder promotion. I got the Daisy Lace Mini in red and the Carrie Cami in pale citrus. Not too bad with 30% off.

  20. A little OT, but the April Style guide is up on the US site!

  21. I went to the factory at Bergen Town Center and it was a zoo. The line to check out snaked around the entire store. I tried on two things and passed on both - not worth waiting in line for.

    1. I agree --- there was no item worth waiting that line. And I arrived at 11 am (an hour after the mall opened!)

  22. Sale update for Sun am was 1175+. Wild popbacks I.e. from last year, etc... A lot of spring/summer items. From what I saw, not many winter coats or blazer, if you've been on the lookout.

    1. Thanks for the heads up! I ended up scoring a couple of pop backs that were not final sale -- city mini in black ($35), schoolboy blazer in camel ($69), and oversize merino pocket sweater in grey ($62). I used the card member discount. I've been looking for that oversize merino sweater in grey for a while. It's such an easy, comfortable piece and will transition well for early spring. I wear my navy schoolboy from 4 years ago to death, and was just thinking that I should invest in another color. I'm late to the city mini game, but at 5'2" it's such a flattering length. It's wool, so won't work for summer, but should work for early spring without tights. I got a red one on a recent pop back and wear it so much that my husband comments that people are going to notice, since its an obvious piece. I will become "the girl in the red skirt."

    2. Yes, I noticed that too. Nothing I wanted though;( Nice for there to be such a big update on the last day of the sale though.

    3. Thank you for the notice! I was able to get the collection cashmere boyfriend sweater in hthr mint...I have been trying to purchase for a while and even did a WWFIFY with no success. So excited to purchase this... :)

  23. Anyone know if CS gives accurate measurements for individual items or do they just quote the size chart that's online? I had to size up in regular sizing when I tried on the clover tweed skirt, and though I would have preferred purchasing in petites, final sale on something I haven't tried steered me away.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Muncher, my experience has been that they give very detailed sizing info. I did a chat about the Tilda rhinestone in petite and was given measurements for all the sizes I requested. Plus, if you are purchasing something final sale in petite that you have not tried on because they don't carry in stores. Ask them to note against that order and item that you can return. I did that yesterday for a petite skirt on final sale. HTH

  24. The Bellevue Square store had 25% off women's wear and 30% off sale items.

  25. Thought I was safe from falling into the 'but it's such a great price' trap. But my willpower was no where to be seen.

Scored another pair of Ludlows; this time in bird's eye English wool in charcoal. Yeah more charcoal, can a guy have enough of this colour? But at less than half off they are a steal of a deal. With luck I won't wear them till fall '13, but with this weather who knows.

  26. Local J crew store was closed in Los Gatos and I assume in Valley Fair too (as the mall itself was closed !) However there is a new promo starting April 1st, IN STORES & ONLINE: EXTRA 30% OFF FINAL SALE ITEMS WITH CODE SUNSHINE. Enjoy ;)

    1. Miramar, I cursed thinking that 30% was far better than my 25%, but then I added in free shipping and realized that the LOVEJCREW was better.

And since I seem to have scored the last pair in my size it doesn't really matter.
