However, to enjoy this perk online, customers have to use promo code SUNNY (for orders in the United States & Canada) and LAYERUP (for international orders). This offer expires Friday March, 8, 2013. The fine print of the offer includes:

In-store discount automatically applied at register. To redeem online, enter code SUNNY in the promo code box at checkout. Limit one promo code per order. Offer valid in the U.S. and Canada only. Terms of offer are subject to change. It is always good to see another promotion at J.Crew. I was wondering if there would be another promotion today (and that it would be another additional percent off sale).
Will you be taking advantage of this promotion? If so, what items are you planning to get. Please share! :)
I only wish it included free shipping :(
ReplyDeleteI want to pick up the tweed front tee. I'm probably going to battle te snow this week and trek into the store.
I agree. There is a tee I'd grab with this promo if free shipping was included.
DeleteAnother offer I'm not tempted by, thankfully. I stocked up on perfect tees during the recent sales, and got a $20 pair of shorts during one of the sales too. It's hard to think about t-shirts when it is 30 degrees in NYC... :(
ReplyDeleteI need a few tees and shorts as well but I can't help but think there has to be a better promo (30% off and free shipping sitewide) coming sometime soon in the next month...it's not even warm enough yet for me to use either or the promo items.
ReplyDeleteI really like the Double Square Tee..anyone purchase?
ReplyDeleteWish there was free shipping...too cold in PA to think about tees yet.
I'm not tempted by this one either, I got some great deals on tees during the earlier promo, I'm cheap when it comes to tees and rarely spend more than $10 a piece on them. I do love the colors of JCrew's tees but I feel like there are always ones I like in the sale section when an additional percent promo off rolls around.
ReplyDeleteThe peony tee is sold out in most sizes already. Another rose tee phenom?
ReplyDeleteIf you order through a VPS, I wonder if you would get FS on the order? That is one of the perks listed in the program.
ReplyDeleteI highly recommend the silk collar tee, which is included in this promo. I tried on the gray version this weekend and am getting the navy version in the mail today. It's super-cute!
AppGal, they are FS.
DeleteOh, I meant free shipping, not final sale :)
DeleteLinks to irl tee pics in this post. Many of the tees are too thin for me, incl the peony. I'm going to see if I can try that on today or tomorrow and share pics. My pick is the tweed-front tee, which may end up going on sale online. I'm trying to play the pricing game in a smarter way these days. If I buy something at a very low price, but too late in the season it just doesn't get worn.
ReplyDeleteIn an email I recvd long ago, a vps told me she can waive the fee if there is at least one full price item on the order. Perhaps the tees & shorts qualify since they're on promo and not sale.
can you use student discount with this?
ReplyDeleteIt looks like no, the prior post says they are no longer stacking student discount with any other promo. :(
DeleteI will order the Midnight Floral Tee despite the shipping - I went to two stores over the weekend to try it on and it was sold out in all but XXS.
ReplyDeleteI was told yesterday by a very unfriendly SA at the Northbrook IL store that JC will no longer stack the educator discount with any other % off in store. I was purchasing two other tees at 20% off. I hate that store anyway and I never go there, but I was in the neighborhood. Terrible SAs. I don't know if this policy is true everywhere now, or just nasty Northbrook.
My store (NYC 17th Street & 5th Ave) claims to do the discount on any purchase except partnership items (Liberty shirts, etc.). While I have never actually tried, they say it stacks with sale, % off sale, and any promos (like 25% off sweaters).
DeleteThe Asheville, NC also would not stack the 20% off promo with the teacher discount. They have gone back and forth on this policy so many times, I have whiplash. Who knows what the "official" word really is.
DeleteOT: If anyone is planning to order the Indigo Floral Popover along with some tees, size down. I ordered my usual 8 and I'm swimming in fabric. Will try to take pics and post a review tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteWhitney, thanks for the info on that top. Do you think sizing down one size would be sufficient?
DeleteJust chatted with cs to ask for measurements, had to share, because his comment at the end made me laugh:
DeleteCS guy: Size 4:
CS guy: Chest: 48"
CS guy: Size 6:
CS guy: Chest: 49"
Me: Are you sure that's right? 48" is HUGE for a size 4.
CS guy: Yes, it does seem huge. However, those are the measurements that are pulling up for the Indigo Floral Popover for me.
It does run large. I have pics on my blog (can't link from phone) of my usual size. I didn't try a size down just bc that type of top doesn't normally work on me.
DeleteI'm really disappointed; the style is so pretty and I love the print, but if I return for a smaller size it will be too short in the torso and sleeves. What a bummer.
DeleteWasn't sure if the the 20% instore on all women's clothing deal was worth it so I left everything on my trip yesterday. Where are you "30% storewide" promo?? clicking my heels twice and crossing my fingers!
ReplyDeleteI got a navy and ivory striped maxi skirt today that I have been eyeing...I haven't seen it online or other stores. I rarely pay full price..but think I will wear this one all the time. The SA originally told me the 20% applied to all knits including the skirt...but that wasn't true and I didn't get a discount on the skirt.
ReplyDeleteI also tried on the Lodden paisley peasant. I have been in love with the print. The top is very weird...boxy and very short. I tried on my usual xxs and it looked like it had shrunk in the wash. So disappointing. I have the gauzy navy stripe peasant from last summer and it fits much better, even after several washes. Maybe they will put that print on something else. I would love for them to release some t-shirts (maybe cap sleeve) in a couple liberty prints.
Bought the peony tee and the super nice store manager honored my educator's discount, so I saved $15! Nice linen material and soft. The color in general is flattering on many skin tones. Runs big, so size down.
ReplyDeleteFor those shopping the current tees & shorts 20% off promo, I have confirmed that they are definitely eligible for the discount, so you should be able to get the extra 15% off applied.
ReplyDeleteI think it is interesting that the Pop Art Dot Tee is back at full price. I ordered it last week for $39.50 while J.Crew was offering shipping. Now they are offering 20% off, the tee is back to $49.50. The price comes out to be the same, but J.Crew is tricky for making the tee full price again!
ReplyDeleteJMW: The Pop Art Dot tee was marked to a promo-price last week, and now went back to full price, which is common practice at J.Crew. If you'd like more information about promo-priced items, I go into more detail about them in this post.
