Crewcuts Email: it's kid's stuff - our new arrivals are in. in stores and online

"Thanks!" to Marietta & GoldCoastGal who shared the following email with us.

As mentioned in Thursday's post, "J.Crew Updates Website With New Arrivals Today!", new arrivals are available for purchase online. The email above indicates that new arrivals for Crewcuts are also available for purchase online (click here) and at B&M (brick & mortar) stores. :)

They are also reminding us about free shipping on all Crewcuts orders (with no minimum).

Is it just me or does the email have a somewhat Halloween-feel to it with the black and orange text? Maybe I just have Halloween on-the-brain— since stores already have on the floor Halloween costumes, candy, decorations and the like. ;)

Have you checked out the new arrivals for Crewcuts? Are there any items that you are liking? Are there any styles that you are surprised to see? :)

  1. Went to Crewcuts yesterday. Some of the sweaters are so freakin cute I wish they made adult versions! Esp. the Maisie (18994) and Bow-Peep (19020) sweaters. A little too pricey though. The Obama girls coats were there... Loved the Marquee coat (18767) in sweet guava the most. The Pepper Tweed coat (17637) is fabulous but $100 too much IMO.

I checked out the Frosted cotton top 18716) since my daughter is obsessed with sparkles, but it is barely sparkly, so its a pass considering I just got an awesome metallic sweatshirt from the Crewlet this year (same price).

The best top this fall for everyday use is the Rosie (17622) for sure!! Flowy and soft and stretchy. Lots of colors and 2 for $30 is worth it. We liked the striped versions too. We must have the Feather silk smock top (18847) for church, so cute IRL!

The very popular silk bubble skirt (17716) now comes in a great new color Rustic orange!

I looked at the more formal stuff they had as well, but we don't really need anything this year. If I had to choose a dress, it would be the Cashmere trifle dress (19234) it is to die for but super-expensive for a kid. Other dresses were the Merino paris (17879) which was not that great, the Deco dress (18709) which is black - for kids? - nah, and the Organdy mali (17166) which is way too stiff.

We love love love the city dresses, both styles.

For the boys... There are now garment dyed Jack Purcells!! Let me tell you -- they are adorable! Black and gray, plus white. The new boys graphic tees are the best I've seen, very cool and so soft. The skull knit hat is a must-have. The Fjallraven mini backpacks are tiny, really only for pre-schoolers, not big enough for schoolbooks, but there is a bigger size on the website that looks better. The construction is awesome.

I REALLY NEED A CODE JCREW!!!! I do appreciate the free shipping though, I really hope they keep it going indefinitely.

Sorry such a long post but I know there are not a lot of Crewcuts near most of us!

  2. Mags, LOVE the city tee dresses. They are so cute and virtually indestructable! I'd wear either of the new styles myself, and the twin ruffles cardi, too. The patent leather mary janes are wicked cute, as are the ballet flats with the elastic strap. Love the print. I haven't seen them IRL, but the pics online look like the elastic strap is nice, not cheesy looking, like some similar cheapies I've seen.

I'm not ordering anything, as cute as it all is, since we've got a ton of stuff from last year's sale that should be fitting soon! But I always keep an eye on what goes on sale, since there isn't a minimum on the free ship.

  3. There's definitely a Halloween vibe going on there. That little boy is so adorable in his little sport coat and tie! Agh! It makes me wish my little brother wasn't 16 years old, 6 feet tall, and stubborn so I could dress him up!

  4. I love the new hats, scarves, and gloves! However, they only come in pale gray and pale pink, both of which are horrible colors for my niece. I'm hoping for more vibrant colors in the same items in the holiday rollout.

I love a lot of the tees, cardis, knit dresses and sweatshirts as well. Also like some of the tees for my nephew.

  5. I love their headbands and the jewelry. Wish my noggin wasn't so oversized! I do love looking at the catalogs; the kids are better styled than the adults! Sometimes I get more fun inspiration from the wee ones!
