The following are the three items (from left to right):
- "Camilla" silk top in a polka-dot print & retails for $98.00.
(Click here to view a larger image.) - Patent "Campo" bag in a "creamy pale beige" finish. This bag retails for $268.00.
(Click here to view a larger image.) - Metallic "Audrey" belt & retails for $33.00. "Thanks!" again to love2shop4bags who pointed out that the belt looks a lot like the Skinny Metallic Belt (Item 18964; $32.50) in Carob.

ReplyDeleteFYI: The Lorelei dress and cashmere cardigans are featured in InStyle Weddings' Fall 2009 issue ("One Dress, Different Accents")!
ReplyDeleteI've been seeing J Crew in every magazine lately! I am kind of hating all the advertising. I don't want J Crew to be "mainstream," though I guess their price points keep them from that. All the attention they are drawing to themselves does lead to the million knock offs we are seeing everywhere from TJ Maxx to ATL.
ReplyDeleteJC's even in product shots for Pottery Barn. You spot it everywhere now, it's like "Where's Waldo" for JCAs!

ReplyDeleteJ.Crew, Gap, BR, and ATL have all been getting a lot of exposure in magazines lately. I've seen J.Crew and Gap in several commercials, too. :)
ReplyDeleteThat knit jumpsuit is terrible. At least JCrew hasn't gone there... yet. :)
ReplyDeleteI think it's a short jump from those dresses-that-look-like-a-top-and-skirt to jumpsuits. JC did that kind of dress this summer (bellini, I think), so maybe jumpsuits in winter? I mean, why not crewate one single article of clothing that looks like two that costs three times as much as two pieces would, that a quarter of the shoppers could fit to their bodies correctly? (And then, of course, put a BELT onto it, since the parts are ATTACHED- that being the point of this style garment- and the bottom piece needs it to stay up, right?)
ReplyDeletejust got my "real simple" mag last night and they were featured pretty strongly in a spread about what the major chains are offering this fall (banana, alt, etc)
ReplyDeleteI really like the handbag...but maybe not at that price point. Sale anyone?
ReplyDeleteThe top has too many ruffles at the neck for me. I have long hair and could wear it with my hair up, but not down. I do like the polka dot fabric though, Club Monaco has a lot of polka dots this season. I think the last photo of the gal with the cropped pants and booties makes her look dumpy. The other two looks are OK.
ReplyDeleteThe patent Campo is meh IMO, but the only ones I like are the Gucci and Avril Gau. Nice to see a slightly smaller size trending in bags now. The huge bags we have seen the last couple of years were waaayyy too large for me. I felt ridiculous even trying them on.
Sweater-knit jumpsuit = sag & bag by morning coffee.
Alexis and others..
ReplyDeleteThere is more mention of J Crew in the October edition of O Mag where they are touching on all of the various stores such as AT, NY&Co, Talbots, Express, GAP, Chicos, Liz Claiborne and they mention JCrew for the jewelry. In that same box (with necklaces) they show a new blouse that appears to be (but I could be wrong) the flower top shown in one of the 4 preview pics you posted. It is $90. Oh and of course another Jenna Lyons quote;)
Where is that "Camilla" top on the web site? I love it with those polka dots but I can't find it online!!!
ReplyDeleteIDC - The Camilla top is actually the Kelsey top. But, the polka dot version is not yet available. I assume it will be in the October rollout, since it was in that issue. HTH!
