This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available in the Spring Sale, or to see some new Summer arrivals {wahoo!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!
Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)
P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!
I was at the Montgomery Mall store (Bethesda, MD). The sale stuff was not % off, but seemed to be lumped into groups of 19.99, 39.99, etc. For those of you interested in the shoes - they had lots of Joley flats (79.99) and Deauville flat slingbacks (49.99, I think). Several colors in each, including black, shell, bronze twig (in Joley).
ReplyDeleteEXTRA20 now up on the site, no FS
ReplyDeleteHi gigiofca,
ReplyDeleteGreat! I just prepared my cart for the 20% off :)
I hope some things I'm looking for pop up later today. Thank you very much.
Ah finally !
ReplyDeleteI wonder how long this is gonna last
happylife -- sorry...
ReplyDeleteThe EXTRA20 is thru this Sunday, 5/17. Remember it ends 11:59 EST, so that's 8:59 for PST.
I wasn't much impressed with anything at the B&M I visited. To be honest, regardless price, I did not see anything that I really wanted.
ReplyDeleteNot sure if I'll make it or not...
ReplyDeleteI know it's a long shot, but if anyone sees the Dream Simone Cardigan in Heather Graphite, item #99814 seen here in XS or Small please let me know. TIA! :)
Huh. I am just not sure what to make of that top. I can't imagine it would be flattering on anyone when worn alone.
ReplyDeleteI do love how you styled it! Great review!!
If anyone sees a victoria ruffle cami in size 6 butterscotch or the karma necklace in green please let me know ! Thanks

Does anyone know when the new arrivals will be available online?
ReplyDeleteThe new arrivals came out already form the month of May.
ReplyDeleteJune arrivals won't be out until the very end of this month.
I just placed an order online this week, so I won't be stopping by the B&M stores in my area. Will wait for the June arrivals.
ReplyDeleteHas anyone seen the Crocodile Cocktail jacket at their stores? I'm looking for a size 2 or 4 - I picked up a 6 but it's a little big and I was hoping to find a store with a smaller size. Any information is much appreciated!!
ReplyDeleteI stopped in my b&m today, had an appt with my fabulous PS. Picked up a few things, but I wanted to let you ladies know about the Beaded fireworks necklace (item 17885) in heather nectar... it is stunning! The website does not do it justice, IMO. It is not an overpowering necklace at all, and you can adjust the length of the chain. I am 5' 1.5" and it looked just darling on.... I also picked up the matching earrings, but not to wear together! :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm inspired to write a post singing the praises of the rumpled French terry cardigan. I saw it in the store and thought it was frugly--the colors my small B&M had (the weathered stone, natural, and charcoal) were really uninspiring, I thought. Thanks to tastymoog!, who posted that she had snagged one last weekend at $19.99, I went on a cell crewsade, and got myself one in natural, as I will pretty much buy anything for that price! It arrived today, and I haven't taken it off. I had read Slastena's posts, and knew that she loved her two, and as much as I admire her style, I thought she was leading me down the garden path with this one. Well, I stand corrected, my friends. If you can get one, or two, or three, at your B&M this weekend, I highly recommend it. As HeidiG posted recently, it's better than sweats--it is the perfect SAHM/WAHM outfit, and I'm sure will prove to have other uses as well. Thanks to all my fellow JCAs for their posts and blogs!
ReplyDeletecorry - i completely agree with you about the rumpled french terry cardi! it doesn't look that great on the hangar, but once you put it on, you don't want to take it off! it's so comfty...
ReplyDeletechecked out my B&M in Canton, CT... saw a few new things, a new white mini with yellow and orange circles, a very bright pink pattern with red flowers in shorts and a button down, and a few new tees with graphics "sewn on" (don't know how else to describe it).
also there were about 3 large gold thompson totes in the sale section 89.99 if anyone is interested. the rest of the sale section was lots of tees and those linen/silk v-neck sweaters.
oh and no additional off sale items either :(
ReplyDeleteFor anyone looking for a Crocodile Jacket in size 8, there was one at the Providence Place Jcrew.
ReplyDeletecorry & starla, I know exactly what you mean about the french terry cardigan! I am wearing it right now. I will be so sad when the weather starts getting too hot to wear it LOL! I live in this thing...
ReplyDeleteI did a return today and tried on a whole bunch of stuff. I think I want to break down and get a pair of white jeans/crops/capris jusy haven't decided yet.
I spied 4 bags at the store: sandalwood Editor satchel, black Gallery satchel, white small Gallery hobo & shell metallic Gallery large hobo.
The 2 satchels were nice, but were heavy, both had a middle divider pocket and were great quality. The hobos on the other hand, were so cute for summer and FABULOUS, I fell in love with them so much that I ordered the metallic silver large size with the 20% when I got home.
I asked if I could get the sale price (they were all marked full price) and the manager said no. Harumphhh
i know mags, i live in mine too. it's the first thing i want to put on when i come home from work :)
ReplyDeletethanks for the reviews on the gallery hobos... i was eyeing them myself. would you classify the small hobo still as a "bigger" bag? i really like it, but don't want something too big.
Did some returns from online this morning at Ann Arbor. Didn't see anything new added to sale, but some items were marked down further, like the crewneck short sleeve painter tees and the silk ruffle edged slub tees (the HUGE ones) were all marked down to ten bucks. There were a good number of the elastic waist skirts, too.
ReplyDeleteStarla
ReplyDeleteYea, the cardigan = LOVE!
The small Gallery hobo bag is not very "small", but once I pictured my wallet, checkbook and makeup bag in there there wasn't much room for anything else, so if you need a smaller sized bag, by all means this is awesome. It is so very cute in person, but I personally needed a larger bag.
thanks mags! i like your visualization of all the things one would put in your purse... very helpful :)
ReplyDeleteI bought the new ombre beaded flower tee - so pretty! It was hard to decide on a color, but I went with the darker one - ivory to dark gray/blue. The color code is GSL and I don't know what that stands for - gray slate? I also saw some new jewelry that I love and want, but I could only buy one and went with the rose pearl necklace. I also love the new ikat (?) skirt, it's very pretty. I tried on the slub cotton pleated front tank and thought it was cute except for the panel down the front. If it was the same material, it might have worked.
ReplyDeleteI have been watching the J. Crew on-line sales, and have noticed a couple different things pop up. How often do new things go on sale? Some of the stuff seemed to be from a couple seasons ago--but wasn't in the sale section earlier in the same day. Anyone know how that works? Thanks!
ReplyDeleteSaw quite a few crocodile jackets at the 3rd street promenade store, sizes 4 and up.
ReplyDelete5th avenue in NYC- J. Crew was super boring there. The sale section was horrible and everything was just blah. They did have a 25% off promo on sandals which is cool, there are some great sandals. And the sales associate said I could use my student id discount with anything promo or full-priced, just not things ending in .99, so at least that is cleared up for me!
ReplyDeleteI stopped by a couple of stores this weekend as I had to go of out town for a wedding. Picked up a kelly belt in a warm yellow color that I hadn't seen at my regular stores as well as slub ripple ruffle tee in tea rose. Wow those run big! Guessing maybe that is why there are marked down to 9.99 in store. Also picked up another color of the terry cardigan - I am such a sucker for markdowns.
ReplyDeleteWas hoping someone would return an ivory Victoria cami in a 6 but no luck. Keep missing these updates online. Oh well.
Hey Pakcola
ReplyDeleteWhere is that store located? I may give them a call for the Croc Jacket
Thanx!
Mags,
ReplyDeleteIn Santa Monica, CA
Pakcola - I just called the 3rd street Promenade store and they said they never carried the jacket! do you know if the jacket you saw was this one: http://www.jcrew.com/AST/Browse/WomenBrowse/Women_Shop_By_Category/jacketsouterwear/jacketsouterwear/PRDOVR~12154/99101678906/12154.jsp ?
ReplyDeleteAny help is MUCH appreciated!!
Kate & Pakcola
ReplyDeleteI called the store, too, and no luck on the Croc jacket.
I called CS and they did a store search for me. You have to have the item# if it is sold out, and they said they usually don't do a search on sale items. I doubt I will have any luck with it, but it doesn't hurt to ask!
I ran into the Center City Philly B&M today and really loved the new ombre flower tees in gray and melon, so very cute. There were very cute cream tees with blue or melon flowers appliqued on them. I also saw the navy tee with free form appliques all down the front, that would look awesome with the white cafe capris I just ordered, I really likey!
Mags,
ReplyDeleteI just did the search too, and they came back with zilch! So dissapointed!
Hi everyone,
ReplyDeleteI'm in Tampa visiting family and we stopped by the International Plaza shopping center today. The J. Crew store had all colors of Cafe Capris for $39.99 (I picked up two pairs in white and navy). They have a lot of the mint green color as well. The sale section had several zebra tees (screenprint) in S,M,L,XL. I saw four canvas totes with the leather handles. They had tons of v-neck tees in all sizes, assorted colors. I also saw various sizes of bermuda shorts in the dobby stripe, metallic linen, and black styles. Definitely no size 6's.
The store was not offering any additional discount on sale items... has anyone visited North Park in Dallas (my home store)?
