"Thanks!" to HeidiG (in this post) and JBird (in this post) who let us know about J.Crew updating their latest promotion.
J.Crew sent an email reminding us of the offers for free shipping on orders of $100+ with promo code SUNSHINE and purchases of $150+ with promo code HELLOSUN. These offers were to expire today, 5/13/09, but now have been extended to tomorrow, 5/14/09. {yey!}
I did end up using the SUNSHINE offer this morning to purchase a few items. I have my fingers crossed as to whether or not I will receive them (without any cancellations). ;)
Did you take advantage of this latest promotion? If so, what items did you order? If not, are there no items that interest you or are you waiting for a better promotion? :)
I used the hellosun code this morning to order the tiered ruffle skirt that I have been stalking for a while and popped back in my size. Hopefully it will ship. I've bought a couple of other items that I plan to return just to have the free shipping.
ReplyDeleteIt's weird but I didn't know about the sunshine code that had a lower minimum for the free shipping.
Im headed into Crew tonight to pick up a few things and finally let my buddy who's been nagging me for my teacher discount shop some. That military inspired Timex watch has my eye, and even though I have the regular sperry top siders. The nubuck boot edition has been whispering to me also. The subtle sophistication and classic flavor is the allure. I wore Crew in college but not as heavy as now, and I have a feeling having the J.Crew card will make things even worse now that I do. Oh well...happy shopping people!
ReplyDeleteThe SUNSHINE code has been extended also- just got an email about it. Good until 5/14!
ReplyDeleteTo potential Crewcuts shoppers: I want to give a recommendation for the Crewcuts jersey tiered ruffle skirt, item #15529. This skirt is just darling, and I think it's a pretty good price even at full price ($28). It's that perfect item that looks a little "dressed up," but is soft and comfy enough that the girls want to wear it all the time. (Haven't laundered it yet so can't comment on that.)
ReplyDeleteI got an email about 30% off shorts. :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't use either code. I recently ordered two jackets and they were the only two new arrivals that really excited me--galidola and poppy floral. I used to stalk the website everyday for over 2 years but gave that up a few months ago. Everything seems just too basic or plain for my tastes right now...and the deals aren't as good.
ReplyDeleteI used SUNSHINE to order the Cotton-cashmere waterfall ruffle cardigan, Crystal-flower earrings and Hibiscus-flower elastic headband. :-) I have an appt on Friday with my wonderful PS, I already sent a list to her to pull a few things for me. I will use my rewards card for this!
ReplyDeletejbird just took the words outta my mouth...or rather, keyboard! :D
ReplyDeleteHi all,
ReplyDeleteI've been stalking both the Edie & Lattice dresses... When they returned to stock in my size & colour I couldn't resist. They were just enough for the free ship - saved about $25!
Let's just hope they don't post a 20% off sale items discount tomorrow :}
Happy shopping everyone,
Heather:D
30% off shorts toast?
ReplyDeleteMe again,
ReplyDeleteDid anyone else run into non-stop upselling? I ordered just 2 items & the CS suggested a necklace, shoes, & sweater to go with my new dresses. He seemed rather determined despite my efforts. I finally said; "now ----, I need to finish this call & get back to work". I've run into a few jcrew req recommendations before, but this seemed a bit much.
Oh well, the dresses are still worth the trouble :}
H:D
i ordered the holly linen jacket (which i hadn't seen in the sale section before), a pair of cates, the dusty rose maisey and another cotton pencil skirt.
ReplyDeletesome of it will need to go back though. :(
caesar - Yup, 30% off shorts. There wasn't a code in the email, so it looks like it's an automatic promotion on certain styles.
ReplyDelete@Caesar - yes, it's UP TO 30% off select shorts - JTS did a post about it this AM: here
ReplyDeleteI used the code to pick up a pair of white matchstick jeans and the lemlem scarf. I love scarves and tend to run on the cooler side so love having one I can wrap around me when needed. The lemlem colors scarf looks so cute. It should go well with the white jeans and most any color top.
ReplyDeleteI got all excited today, seeing the small gallery hobo in the sale section but it was just the white. I am loving the tan rose. Wonder if it will make it to the sale or sell out beforehand. Anyone have this bag and willing to provide a mini review?
going to be using it on a bridesmaid dress woohoo!
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone know when an additional percentage off the sale stuff might be coming? I'm dying to get another french terry cardigan but trying to hold off in case a better discount is coming in a few days.
ReplyDeleteAllison,
ReplyDeleteI noticed in store last weekend that the french terry shawl cardis were reduced to $19.99 (I snatched one up a couple weeks prior at $29.99). I don't remember if there were any additional percentages off, though.
I used the code to purchase my first post-maternity clothing items! (Woo hoo - hope they fit!). I got the dressy jersey strapless dress (this is the first time in my life I've had a chest.....sad) and the library cardigan.
ReplyDeleteStacy,
ReplyDeleteThe linen holly jacket is so pretty! I think it just went on sale today. Congrats. I thought about it too but I bought two other jackets instead. It would be a big yes though if an additional 20% off pops up soon:)
I am wavering. There are a couple of items I am looking at on sale, plus a pair of tall pants that I want to order. But I am headed into the store tomorrow, so I think I'll wait until after that to do any ordering, since we have until tomorrow, midnight. I would love a sale, but really want to be able to return if these things don't work for me.
ReplyDeleteI used the hellosun code to pick up another boatload of shoes... :) suede Coralies in Light Eucaliptus (have them in soft graphite, but why just stop there right), Posies in pink, and Marjories in juniper. Just love, love, love their shoes!
ReplyDeleteNothing enticing for me. I have two packages scheduled for delivery tomorrow with quite a few items so I'll be good for a while. Unless some of the items in my cart go on deal.
ReplyDeleteHey cease, I have the nubuck boot edition Sperrys. They fit true and are comfortable. They are a little narrow, but most likely the ones you have fit similar. I keep looking at the watch as well, but haven't pulled the trigger yet.
ReplyDeleteIf you do get it please post and tell us about it. Maybe that will help to enable one of us to get it too.
hey j. crew guy in canada, i actually bought the nubuck boot earlier this evening. And your right, they do fit a bit narrow but they're awesome. My original fear was that they would be too similar to the leather sperry top siders in the same color. However the soles are diff colors, and this is a great all season or @ the least spring/fall boot. I picked up some shorts as well, and ended up giving in and getting the watch! I will say this the watch is actually smaller than it appears online and in catalog. It took me about 15 minutes to decide but i opted to just go ahead and do it. Im a guidance counselor so i have the educator discount. The wristbands come in diff colors but cost additional. I ended up getting the burgandy wristband. The black comes automatic w/ the watch. Ultimately the minimalist design and light weight was what drew me to it. It's a pretty cool summer/spring piece. I dont imagine rocking it come winter but fall/spring/summer its a nice accessory. I took a few pics of it on with my cell phone cam so if need be i can email them. Let me know.
ReplyDeleteCaesar, thanks so much for the info on the watch. I went over to Costco tonight and checked out the watches there. Nothing like a good watch cheaper than retail. I didn't see anything I really wanted bad enough to buy. The trouble with the J.Crew watch is the Canadian dollar is 20% lower than yours and the taxes will be another $20 or more. That pushes the prices close to $200 for me, without the cool watch band, another $20.
ReplyDeleteI plan to go downtown this weekend and see if I can score a deal on a similar watch and then order the band from J.Crew. I'll keep you posted on the watch hunt.
Thanks so much.
good luck my friend, i feel like a kid on the first day of school, i loved the boot so much im wearing them and said watch to work, ha!
ReplyDeleteCaesar I'm still thinking about that watch. Not too sure if I can find a replacement for the J.Crew watch, but I'll give it a good try. Ejnoy the first day of school showing off the new cool things. Thanks buddy.
ReplyDeleteHello again,
ReplyDeleteI seem to be on a summer dress crewsade :}
Yesterday I used the Hellosun code & picked up an Edie & a Lattice dress. Today I used Sunshine & snapped up another Jayne & a Claudine to brighten my work day.
BTW don't you love how so many dresses have women's names? Once I went w. a friend to a specialty bridal shop that also named their styles. Apparently, the dress would be named after the bride it was originally designed for. The best part was how well they matched. For example, Emily had embroidered Irish linen in a Empire style & Claudia had gorgeous silk in a long strapless column. They were so pretty!
I'm glad I have a few new frocks for the wedding/ graduation season.
Many thanks to Alexis, HeidiG, & JBird for the shipping codes!
Heather:D
XOXO: I was excited to see the gallery hobo on sale too!!! ;)
