J.Crew's Summer Sale Has Arrived

J.Crew has updated its Spring Sale page to Summer Sale (click here). I am not sure when this change happened, but I think it was recent.

Mini Update: "Thanks!' to Marietta who let us know that J.Crew sent an email (shown below) with the subject line "Introducing Summer Sale. Hot. Hot. Hot" to announce the change in sale from Spring to Summer. :)
Hopefully we will see some new sale items added to the Summer Sale soon! :)

  1. I think it changed early this morning. I was online around 2:00 and it was summer sale. It was spring sale around dinner time(eastern time)yesterday

  2. The new style long sleeved cashmere tee shirts are on sale. Does anyone know how they compare to the old style. Are they as fitted, etc?

  3. At least it doesn't say "Final Sale." :)

Off to take a look... thanks!

  4. Yesterday, I ordered glenbrae boots (flat) because they were almost $200 off and figured they weren't going to get any cheaper. I've been wanting them for a looong time. They must be 'hidden' because they don't show up in the shoe page of the sale section.

I am not buying anything else until fall! Gotta save up for weekend getaways this summer. :P

  5. tastymoog,

I agree. I have got to save for vacation time! I bought the Milla top with the 20% off private sale but that is it!!!!

Lots of sightseeing in Europe planned:) and hopefully lots of shopping:)

  6. I was all too excited to find this in my inbox and rushed over to take a lookie. But to my disappointment, no updates or refreshes. :(

Maybe in the near future? I hope? Hello, Mickey?

  7. I don't see anything new on sale. Thankfully at least, none of the full priced items I purchased with the last promo. Hate it when that happens. Maybe there will be some markdowns for the weekend.

  8. re: sale update: links print mini disappeared in less than 5 minutes. lucky lady whoever snatched that up (unless it was never really available to begin with! silly jcrew.)!

  9. I was able to snag the cashmere Butterfield jacket. Such a gorgeous piece for fall.

After I checked out I went back and the sale page was updated to say that it was sold out. Hope it ships.

Still none of the FP items I purchased were reduced though. I really get the feeling that J.Crew is managing their inventory very well. Much to the disappointment of many, I'm sure.

  10. I ordered a few of the Featherweight cashmere short-sleeve cardigans.... other than that nothing else that I really want from the sale section. Like others have mentioned in this post, the few things that I purchased at full price are not on sale.

  11. OT -- does anyone happen to have a Banana Republic coupon for 20% or 25% off $75, $100 or $125...?

    TIA

  15. I may skip this one, I have spent WAY to much lately...
OT, has anybody noticed that during the 20% promos some of the "higher quality" items on sale "disappear" from the sale page?

  16. I bought the matchsticks in crisp blue - does anyone know what these are like in real life? and the Palermo sandals in ivory, for fifty dollars.

  17. I am thinking to get either the danielle or the magdalene strappy flats. Does anybody care to give a review on those? Are they pretty comfy? Thanks a lot :)

  18. Can anyone comment on the peep toe slingback mary janes or the cinema t-straps? I've been eyeing them both for awhile, but haven't yet bit. The last two pair of shoes I ordered from JC were sadly a scootch too narrow and I am growing weary of the order-return-repeat game. TIA!

  19. Hi all,

I am looking for a Navy Michelle cardigan in a small or medium, but I know they are cheaper in stores (if I can find it!) than they are online...still $69.50 on the site.

Anyone seen any Michelles in their store? Thanks in advance!

  20. tastymoog - what size did you get the glenbrae boot in? i've been looking for a size 8 for forever...

    ReplyDelete
  21. Marketeer, I did a search for the Glenbraes and there's a 7 1/2 and an 8 1/2, but no 8's. Prices are good, though! HTH

    ReplyDelete
  22. CheesyGoodness - really?!! Everytime I do a search, I only get a 7....I wonder what I'm doing wrong?

  23. I did a search for glenbrae boot, and it even showed a girl's size. There was an assortment of sizes, colors, and heel heights, but no reg. 8. Sorry!

  24. It's good to see the sign of Summer... however, I just check but nothing refreshing. After no more student discount on sale items, it seemed that I shop less and less.
Anyway, I will wait for some Summer sweaters to go on sale.

  26. Miss, I found the matchsticks in crisp blue to be the slimmest-fitting matchsticks of the several denim and corduroy pairs I own. It's not quite a full size down, but noticeably smaller. Nice and slim for summer though. Especially in the light color.

  27. For those seeking Glenbrae boots, keep checking. I was able to score my size in the flat leather style for something like $79 with one of the discount promos. I bought my usual size and it fits me fine. Some others reported issues getting the boots on in their usual size and had to size up so if you do that you may be OK too.

Gorgeous boots, very nice with a skirt/dress or jeans. Originally $325 or something.

  28. For the past few minutes, I have not been able to access the women's sale section. Is anyone else experiencing this problem? I noticed one of my bookmarked items has been updated so I'm wondering if they are doing another update.

  29. The Swiss-dot Fontana dress popped back up in my size. I snagged it in the turquoise and the new Ruffled-hem knit dress in Caspian Blue.

  30. OT: since gigiofca had success, i thought i'd try too. If anyone has an extra banana republic coupon, I would really appreciate it. Just started a new job and have to buy new work clothes. ciaobella426@yahoo.com

  31. I received the email also. I didn't open it. I am with you Genny. I'm traveling from July late into Fall. Its time to go across the Pond and more. The Ikat maxi is the only thing I plan to order for now.

  32. fiyah,

Hope you have a great time "across the pond" and get that dress for your trip. :) esp. on promo would be nice or with a coupon code!

  33. marketeer,

They had sz8 on Wednesday... which is my size, too. Hope you find a pair, maybe it will popback!

    xoxo,

    that's a really good deal!

  34. Oh marvelous! They have limited the Quantity field to one digit...you can't check for item quantity higher than 9.

    Thhhhhhh!

  36. Well you can add a quantity of 9 to your cart multiple times, a bit of a pain in the butt, but you can still figure out the quantity.

  37. Re: Inventory check

My hypothesis is that too many people were publishing on their blogs and this blog about how to do the checks-to decide whether or not to wait for the sales. J.crew (Big Brother) decided this is bad for business and thus limited the ability to check over 9 items.
