"Thanks!" to many of you, including JCrewJD (in this post), as well as Irina, who shared the following email, which announces new sale items and that some of them are up to 50% off (click here to shop online).
Thanks J.Crew for reminding us that Final Sale is still Final Sale. ;) But seriously, I am happy that some new items went on sale. Also, when is the next promotion? :)
Will you be checking out J.Crew's Final Sale? Did you see some new items in the sale section?
Pffft, I looked this morning and didn't see anything interesting. There wasn't much of an update either.
ReplyDeleteSo annoyed that first cut items are Final Sale. There are some pieces for spring I hoped to try out, but not with the opportunity to return.
ReplyDeleteSeriously...where's the % off FP promo? I know a lot of us are waiting on that! We got spoiled by the plethora of promos over the holidays :(
ReplyDeleteNothing for me without an additional % off.
ReplyDeleteI'm not even looking anymore I'm so bored of it! So true that it's ridiculous for things to go right to final sale. I don't mind buying something at massive discount that has been reviewed etc, but for first cut to go to final sale, no way.
ReplyDeleteThe turtleneck sweater dress I saw a couple of weeks ago is already final sale. Wow!
ReplyDeleteI didn't see anything new added. With all the cute new items, we're all waiting for any promo, just anything, we will bite.
ReplyDeleteI want another double cloth coat. So i waiting for another % off final sale promo.
ReplyDeleteThe ashbury floral skirt was marked down. I went for it since it has been on my wishlist for a while and I did not want to get caught up in the hype of a promo (you know, when the crewlade goes into full effect and you buy much more on final sale even though you really do know better). Now I can move on. :-)
ReplyDeleteHas anyone seen what the price of the gimlet stripe skirt is in store? It got marked down to $79.99 on the website. TIA!
ReplyDeleteIf they had a % off Final Sale I would consider a few items. (Jules Dress in Waterfloral, Sorel Caribou boots). Since most of the country has not had winter temps not sure how they think they are going to move those sweaters and boots unless they discount further.
ReplyDeleteI was really hoping for a % off full price items. PLEEEEASE J. Crew!
ReplyDeleteDo we know when final sale usually ends?
ReplyDeletepretty much hoping for a FP promo like everyone else. i've loaded up my cart with so many things to try on, but i'm not willing to pay fp on any of it :o)
ReplyDeletefull price % promo !
ReplyDeletefull price % promo !
ditto - even the newly moved to final sale items are too warm for the weather we're having this winter. If it never gets cold, I won't wear half of what I already have!
ReplyDeleteI suppose most retailers are having a problem with warm merchandise. There are bound to be some bigger sales. And you are right, everyone above, there are hundreds of items in FS that are the same prices they were when there was addl 30-50% off. No temptations!
Can I say "waste of postage" about an email? How about "waste of energy?"
ReplyDeletewell, i was hoping to try the white burnout crepe sweater (62222) but not any more since it was moved to final sale. was hoping for a % off FP but got final sale instead. final sale for an online/catalog/phone order just makes no sense to me. JC just lost a big order.
ReplyDeleteccbmum, I was intrigued by that burnout sweater in the Cerise color but not at that price. if it comes down or pops back, i might take a chance...
ReplyDelete@mini, I think that last year it ended aroung a month before Christmas...
ReplyDeleteElaine, I think it's pricey too...i was holding out for it to come down in price. it's such a bummer when they make something that's "jcrew.com/catalog only" final sale. ridiculous.

ReplyDeleteI can't imagine buying a brand new item weeks after it came out, on final sale, for just a few bucks less than full price. WTF? I was shocked at some of the new markdowns today. But when are they going to mark down the good colors of the double serge pencil, darn it!? (neon azalea, I'm talking to you).
ReplyDeleteStill hoping for some popbacks but besides that I agree with everyone else. cannot buy final sale when I've never even tried on or sometimes never even seen in real life!
ReplyDeleteThere's a chance to pre-order new Collection pieces through the Cup of Jo blog. Read more here: http://joannagoddard.blogspot.com/2012/02/jcrew-preview-sale.html
ReplyDeleteMy PS called me tonight as I was driving home from work. The gimlet skirt is on sale in the B&Ms as well now, same price as online. Basically most of the online items are on sale in the stores. She did not mention final sale and I forgot to ask, but at least you can try on in the store. What are your thoughts on the gimlet skirt??? I thought I was going to love it, but not sure now, will try it on this weekend. Might be worth a visit. Happy shopping!!
ReplyDeleteMB, I saw the gimlet skirt in store and even though the print/colors were nice it seemed very stiff. One of those skirts that would just pouf out and not lay right. But I did not try it on, so it maybe amazing.
ReplyDeleteWow, I can't believe the burnout sweater is already Final Sale. I just wonder what the logic is of releasing a new catalogue and then putting them on fs so fast. We haven't even had spring yet.
ReplyDeleteOK I just got to see the final sale section. The cafe capris (classic) in rusty copper hit FS. I'm strangely attracted to this color. Anyone seen these in store and can comment, I would appreciate. :>
ReplyDeleteMy cart is just WAITING for a promo on full price items!!caerate
ReplyDeletemini: Last year the Spring Sale didn't arrive until the last part of April, so there are still several months of Final Sale to go, unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteWell the product count is going up not down on Final Sale items, so this stuff is not moving. So I would say 50% off and free-shipping and maybe they might be able to make room in the warehouse for the new Spring/Summer items. Some popbacks but without a high percentage off I will not be buying. Interesting my word is 'sublet' which is what they are going to have to do for warehouse space :)
