This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)
If you are stopped by a J.Crew store this past weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the WINTER sale, or to see some new WINTER/SPRING arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!
Also, please let us know if your local store was/ is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)
Got a polka dot blouson dress for my BFF's b-day present for $35 online, after discount. That's less than half of what I paid for mine.
ReplyDeleteAlso snatched up the Collection lace cami (from 2 springs ago?) and a few 'try on' items for myself, namely the double serge wool pencil skirt in neon azalea and the blythe blouse in bright sun. I truly hope that the 'Bright Sun' color is the same yellow as the seersucker bikini that I own. I love that yellow.
I nixed going to my B&M knowing it to be devoid of a good selection of spring's new arrivals.
Spent a good bit of time at the Crewlet at Tulalip and also went to U Village today at both JC and Madewell. Will post reviews later this week.
ReplyDeleteFull range of sizes of the Pebble Dot Silk Shirt available at UVillage. Sale section is pretty small. If anyone's looking for the Gimlet Skirt in Coaster Stripe, there's a 0, 2, and 12 at U Village, quite a few of the Ripple Stitch Sweaters in grey, navy and ruby for $49 (I think?). Still FP online. Didn't see any promos on new items. Please JC, pretty please, can we please have one soon? ;)
Sale section was bare, right when I started noticing items I had ignored (and consequently missed out on) the last several months. Reminder to self: there will always be new things! Ordered the jardin skirt in heart throb in two sizes via red phone. February must be in the water because I don't even like hearts. Bought the chiffon crinkle skirt in store, but am debating petite vs. regular. At 5'2" the regular length seemed okay, but I would like to compare. Also bought the twill minnies in black. I'm ignoring whatever they may reveal, as I desperately needed black pants for work this week and have no time to get trousers hemmed.
ReplyDeleteHi JCAs. Pics of the colorblock Tillary tote in this post.
ReplyDeleteerin - I'm 5'2" and tried the crinkle chiffon in regular. I ordered the P to see which length I prefer as the regular *seemed* ok. Curious if 2" shorter will look better or not.
OT, but isn't today the day we're supposed to get that spring preview some of us signed up for a few weeks ago?
ReplyDeleteBought the heart throb silk shirt only to discover it is picked and snagged in many place. Did anyone else have this same problem or did I maybe just get a bad shirt?
ReplyDeleteI didn't go but it looks like they extended the 30% off for one more day...
ReplyDeleteOrrr they just didn't update the sale page? It still shows 30% off with LOVEIT but on the bottom still says it expired yesterday. I tried a mock checkout and it didn't work. Boo!
ReplyDelete@desertflower: read my mind about preorder email. I usually get the emails an hour or two after they post here. I just figured mine was slow as usual.
ReplyDeleteJenLyn,
ReplyDeleteI didn't buy the heart throb shirt but the one I tried on in the store had a bunch of snags in it. I think it's a very delicate fabric.
for those of you who signed up, i JUST got that preview email...
ReplyDeleteand FYI: it looks to be the same stuff from that lookbook they sent with the rewards cards.
ReplyDeleteUgh, the Blackwatch Tartan Schoolboy popped back online and I missed it. Again. Now comes the part where I convince myself that I never wanted it in the first place.
ReplyDeleteI had thought about driving to the nearest B&M in Atlanta this weekend, but decided against it. I don't want spend money on gas until I know that Lenox is fully stocked with new arrivals. I knew that J.Crew would make us wait for another % Off Full Price promo...I've never seen anything like the promo-palooza that went on between Thanksgiving and New Year's.
My word verification is "fings". J.Crew, please give us a promo so's I can buy me some fings.
When does J.Crew historically offer a full-price promo this time of year...anyone know? Just wondering how much longer I will have to patiently wait...
ReplyDeleteManaged to make my way down courtesy of Closet Crisis. Thanks, CC!
ReplyDeleteWhat she said. :) Also several Ashbury print Jules dress in case you need to try one on.
The Crewlet was offering 30% off sale items and had several promos in the store, such as 30% off outerwear. I tried on a nice factory version of the Matinee trench and will review it later this week.
Also posted a couple of pics from the regular store here.
For those of you that signed up for the Collection preview (I forgot), is the oversized silky-looking shirt in look #17 from the lookbook in there? I'm intrigued by this shirt for some reason and want to know more before I start mentally Polyvoring with it.
ReplyDeleteDitto on the need of a FP promo!
@krb: Last year there was a 20% off promo on tees and knits ( free ship on $100+) at the end of this week. Then at the end of next week of last year, there was a 20% off full price items (free sip $150+) promo.
ReplyDelete@Catherine K: Thank you for the history...that is so helpful to know! My fingers and toes are now crossed for similar promos this year!! Please...
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone have the scoop on the leopard print shorts from the look book? I really hope they aren't like a $200 pair of shorts because they possibly could be cute...possibly. I just have a thing for shorts. :)
ReplyDeleteCome on promo...with free shipping! :) I want chino shorts in lemon zest that I can't find in stores. Ugh! And I just spotted the Spindrift sweatshirt in stripe in blue that I could see myself living in...
TXgirl14
ReplyDeleteThe leopard shorts are $79 and will be released in May from what I heard.
Just got my spring lookbook pre-order email, too. Frustrating because, it is literally just the same as the book they sent with the reward cards...where are the prices? So annoying. I need to know how much something costs before I pre-order it!
ReplyDeleteThanks KatherineK. I purchased some full price items last couple of weeks not worn yet, so if there is a promo, I will try to get the adjustment or just repurchase.
ReplyDelete@Claire, here is the information I received on it:
ReplyDelete"Happy to help—the top in look 17 is the Silk Tunic (item 78959). It is scheduled to be available in April and the price is $295, but this is not finalized and could change before it debuts"
Catherine_K - Thanks for the info! I think promos are based on inventory, but let's hope history repeats!! While they're at it...just make it a 25% off fp promo + free shipping.
ReplyDeleteThanks mini! The price sounds better than what I anticipated. I was hoping for a March arrival...I'm in spring now. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Vida Blu!
ReplyDeleteI visited the Toronto store on Friday but it was a bit of a letdown. No sale section - I guess everything has been shipped back to the warehouse. Almost everything was full price including the Gimlet skirt (full size selection available) - not sure what the fuss is about that one, it's a semi-sheer nylon blend that feels crunchy and kind of reminds me of curtain material. If it were a heavyweight linen or cotton and silk blend, then I might be interested. Also saw the $400+ Canary tweed skirt - it has iridescent tinsel-like tape running through the weave. It gives an interesting sparkly effect that reminds me of the iridescent ribbon that my husband is very fond of using for wrapping presents with. Only one Heart Throb blouse on the rack, I guess it's popular with Valentine's Day coming up. I came away empty handed. Nothing really said "must have" to me.
ReplyDeleteMy J.Crew store had a variety of wool Cafe Capris in black and yacht blue - Towsontown Center in Baltimore, MD.
