"Thanks!" to many of you, including Irina, who shared the following email from J.Crew.
J.Crew Factory (click here to shop online) is open and they are offering up to 30% off their latest arrivals.
As JCAs know... if you live near a Factory Store, check them out first. The B&M Factory Stores tend to have better promotions and sale prices.
What are your thoughts on J.Crew's Factory offerings? Will you check them out?
I will be visiting my local factory to store to return a couple of items I ordered from the 30%+ 30% off sale.
ReplyDeleteI made the mistake of trying on the Factory cap-sleeve blouse in chambray with a pair of vintage slim jeans I was wearing cuffed at the bottom -- I laughed out loud because it looked like a prison uniform.
The proper description for this should read: Borrowed from the Bad Boys, but designed for us, this demin top is a classic from J. Crew's penitentiary line. It's perfect for a quick trip to the exercise yard or for visiting with family through the plexiglass...
I was hoping that it might look better with white jeans and some accessories, but after double-checking the web images, it looks pretty bad on the model too IMO.
I think I was initially drawn to the pink gingham version, which is somewhat shapeless, but could be a cute, easy top to wear on a hot, humid day.
No crowds. No line. No good merchandise.
ReplyDeleteI picked up a couple of new skirts this morning -- the factory printed skirt (37532) in retro orange paisley. I remember seeing the retail version of this last summer, I think, but because I got the orange paisley perfect shirt at the same time, I thought I would skip on this skirt. I've regretted it ever since and have come to realize that, in fact, I canNOT have enough paisley! Also got the factory printed poplin skirt (23904), in navy dot, which is, I think, the same skirt as last summer's factory poplin skirt in slate dot, which I have and love. I used to wait for markdowns on factory, but because the prices are lower and reasonable to begin with, I've decided stalking in factory is not worth the time or effort...
ReplyDeleteI already got an all cotton Thandie in shocking pink last weekend when the store was running a 40% off sweaters promo.
ReplyDeleteThe factory printed skirt in retro orange paisley is very nice. I will review it this weekend at some point.
Oooh, Rose, thank you for sharing about the retro orange paisley skirt! Can't wait to get it!
ReplyDeleteIf anyone happens (miraculously) to have a stripe popover in the navy or red stripe in a size L, I will happily buy it from you. I missed it during the promo, and I'm hoping someone has one that's a return. Thanks! caralynnlewis@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteWas at a crewlet last weekend. great timing as usual
ReplyDeleteI know I'm in the minority, but I continue to like the Factory items. Personally, I find dry cleaning a hassle, so appreciate that most items at Factory are cotton and can be washed. Plus, cotton is much better for my AZ climate.
ReplyDeletePut another order in today for some staples. . .and couldn't resist the orange retro paisley pants! :)
I picked up a cute graphic tee at the Crewlet today...it has a sun and says "Sol Pure Cane Sugar, Havana Cuba". I don't see it online. Does anyone know if this is a re-release of a retail design like with the Imperial tee, or is it a new design?
ReplyDeleteI like the cotton medallion dress, but it's final sale and I hate final sale!
ReplyDeleteI bought the Chambray Dorrie skirt from Factory. I missed it last summer at JC. I was pleasantly surprised to see all of the Dorrie styles pop back!
