Madewell sent an email today featuring the pairing of faded jeans and shearling boots, to stay cozy this season. What is more interesting is the announcement of an additional 25% off all sale items, which is fabulous! {yey!}
Also, Madewell is offering 15% off any purchase (click here and print out the coupon). This offer expires 11/30/08. Unfortunately the fine print for this offer reads "Cannot be combined with any other offer or promotion."
Lastly, Madewell does offer a 15% college student discount at all of their stores (just show a student ID). :)
The Madewell I went to a few weeks ago had a pretty large sale section. Exciting!

ReplyDeleteOT: This coat from Anthropologie resembles the houndstooth Greta, but is in a more palatable khaki color. I remember some had expressed a desire for that in the Greta, so I thought I would post it. It's also $100 LESS than the houndstooth Greta, which is nice too :)
That coat is GORGEOUS! Thanks for sharing - I've never purchased from Anthropolgie, but this coat is so tempting.
ReplyDeletesilver_lining: I was thinking of it myself ;) I like the Greta, but didn't like the sweet potato color. This color is perfect, and it doesn't have as many buttons!
ReplyDeleteah... i miss madewell sometimes. :(
ReplyDeleteanthropologie = love
Has anyone seen the crystal-button colorblock sweater in silver/honey? I am desperatley looking for this in size small. The online reps will not do a store search because it is onsale. It's from a catalog from summer, saw it and have to have it. Thanks to anyone out there who sees it.
ReplyDeletemchesq: I had seen the Anthropology coat and compared it with the Greta. It looks that it could be longer than the Greta. I wonder if it's warmer too. Warm is good. :)
ReplyDeleteOh wow, I love the Anthropologie version! I wonder if they have them in stores, I'd like to see it first before buying.
ReplyDeleteI still haven't purchased anything from Madewell...no stores near me, and I'm not sure of fit or quality.
ReplyDeleteI'm not so sure about madewell. Just from looking at the pictures it doesn't seem like good quality materials, design, etc. Does anyone else see this? The stuff just looks cheap!
ReplyDeletebefore i moved, i went to the austin store a few times. in general, i would love how they styled the mannequins in the window, go into the store, and be disappointed by the pieces/fit/prices (or a combination of all). the austin store, at least, seemed geared more toward mothers buying for their teenage/early twenties daughters. that's who i mostly saw buying there anyway.
ReplyDeletei did get a couple of nice sweaters... and some other stuff i like. but it wasn't somewhere i could shop at all the time.
Does anyone own any of Madewell's denim? What are their prices? I would love a review!
ReplyDeleteWill items be on sale if you order over the phone?
ReplyDeletelauren:
