I think this link is uber-useful and I love the concept!!! Maybe they will consider creating one for regular J.Crew stores. :)
This list is not complete. My Iowa store is not listed and none of the Minnesota stores are listed. I will be in Minnesota for Thanksgiving. Maybe these stores have normal hours instead of special hours.

ReplyDeleteHas anyone ever been to the Wrentham, MA outlet? I've only been to the Kittery, ME and North Conway, NH outlets, which are both great-- but I recently moved to Boston, which is closer to Wrentham--Id love some advice! Thanks all : )
I was at Wrentham this weekend--could not find the JCrew outlet (this place is ridiculously large), so I alas have no advice on the store there. Parking is a mess, but it's definitely a neat place. I did stop in BR, and picked up some good bargains. So, if you do decide to check out Wrentham, I wouldn't advise going on a Saturday afternoon, but it clears out pretty well after supper time.

ReplyDeleteIt is hard to find stores but there are maps and you get used to it.
It gets pretty crowded, especially when it's warm out in the summer. Whenever I go to the J. Crew outlet, there are always tons of people there. Most of the time the dressing room wait is long. The last time I was there, they had a lot of clearence items (mostly in larger sizes). They also have Crew Cuts now, so I don't know if they stopped putting out as much merchandise or not (Crew Cuts took up space in the store where women's merch. normally went). They always have lots of basics.. tissue tees, perfect fit, tanks, etc, and I know there are good deals all the time : )

dina, I think the early bird special for Friday is the additional 50% off all clearance styles at the factory stores for shoppers buying before 10 am.
ReplyDeleteI just re-read the sale card they gave me at the factory store today and the sale (30-50% off select styles)starts Wednesday, November 26-Wednesday, December 3.
What is the factory store? Are they worth going to? I sometimes go to the Santa Monica (3rd Street) location... Is there anything unique about the factory store?

Never been thrilled with the outlet quality. They carry similar styles but of lesser qualtiy. I rarely see leftovers from a full-line store, just factory stuff. I would not go too far out of my way to get to one. Sometimes the JC stores have better prices when on sale than outlet prices. I live 40 minutes from one so I go now and then. Just my two cents!
ReplyDeleteYes, factory stores USED to be good (for most companies) b/c they carried actual leftover store merchandise. Now they make lesser quality stuff just for the outlets. I rarely shop outlets anymore. BR outlet is the exception as I find nice garments and some from the stores as well. They had a yellow rose coat similar to the JCrew one a few years back in the stores and then outlet. It is very well made;and more classic in pattern/design than the current JCRew one.
ReplyDeleteI Love the outlets, I have purchased regular J Crew clothing there that was sold in the stores, there is no difference in the cashmere, and you get some good basics as well.
ReplyDeleteHas anyone been to the factory store in Leesburg, VA or Arundel Mills in MD? I'm curious if it's worth the drive. I went to the factory store at The Crossings Outlet in PA during a trip a couple of years ago. I wasn't too thrilled....
ReplyDeleteYes outlets used to be good when they actually carried leftovers. Now 95% of the stuff is specifically made for the outlets and of MUCH lesser quality. I would never buy something from the outlet as it wouldn't last me past a season... And to me that's wasting money. I'd rather spend more money on something I can keep a long time
