Darlings, is it time for a J.Crew coupon code?

Yes it is that wonderful time!

J.Crew is offering free shipping with promo code QETUOXVN123. I am not sure if there is a minimum on this code, but it appears there is none. (I just tried a mock checkout with a $17 item and was able to get free shipping.) Also, I am not sure when this expires... but from past experience, I suggest you use it quickly if you can! ;)

Also, "thanks!" to Slastena who let us know that J.Crew is offering free shipping on orders of $150+ with promo code YRF-49. This offer expires 12/3/08.

  4. I am going to sign my husband up so that if I don't get a coupon, he might! I got one last time, I wonder why I didn't this time??

  5. Thanks for the codes Alexis and Slastena! :)

Unfortunately, I didn't get a coupon code, either...just like so many others. :(

  6. So I got 2 catalogs in the mail today and 1 had a coupon and 1 didn't. I know that some people will be getting $25 off their $125 in-store purchase if they only shop online in order to increase foot traffic into the stores for the holidays, so you may be getting one of those too! I tried the free shipping coupon and it worked. I love this website because as an associate I didn't even know about that one!!!

  7. Is anyone else having trouble using the extra20 coupon? My total goes up after I enter the code...

  8. Anon @ 6:12 pm:
I was under impression that associates are entiteld to all sorts of perks and don't have to depend on coupons and promos and such.. I guess, we are all humans after all!:)
I remember I worked in a restaurant and everyone assumed I got my food for free, so it was a shock for many to learn that I had to pay for it like everyone else (half-price , but still), and some items I had to pay full price to get!:)
One of the SAa at my local store told me that some of the Collection items are not eligible for employee discount (to make sure there is enough for customers, nice gesture BTW, but seems to me a bit unfair).
Anyways, so great to hear from J Crew associates, thank you for posting!

  9. Thanks for coupons as always!!! (Slastena and Alexis)

OT: one of the items from my order was cancelled (I didn't complain as usual btw) and I got the 20% off AND free shipping on my other item! I'm so glad there are CS representatives out there who understand our frustration with JCrew website issues-what a nice gesture :)

  10. Thanks for the coupon Alexis! I just added another silky jersey pleated top to my collection.

  11. Hi Alexis, If you post the code this way, jcrew will kill it tomorrow morning. Jcrew doesn't promote this kind of free shipping codes anymore. Therefore, jcrew kills them when they find out they are leaked.

  12. OT - Does anyone own the Kingston Driving Mocs? There is a pair on ebay that I'm eyeing but I'm not sure if I should size up or down (i.e. Lizzie - size down, Siena - size up). I am normally a 6.5 in shoes. TIA!

  13. P.S. Thanks for the new FS codes =)

  14. Speaking of sales associates and discounts: One at a store I visited told me she couldn't use her employee discount to get a petite Maggie, because the item number wasn't in the store system but the regular Maggie item number was. (I was wearing mine that day, which is how it came up). That would be a shame, if you were a petite sales associate, to not always get a discount on clothes that were in your size!

  15. i would size down on the kingston mocs, mine are huge!! good luck

  16. Thanks for the codes!! :)

  17. Did someone post that their local B&M had the merino rose cardis at 29.99? If so, which store? TIA

  18. Has anyone ever see either the Small Oslo or the Small Odile bag in person? Are they nice? Do the side pockets look weird? Is it a high quality bag? Is it worth the money?

  19. how comfortable are the juliet heels and in general, jcrew flats? I've only tried the driving mocs.

    thanks!

  20. I got the YRF-49 code was well in my catalog

  21. Thanks Lauren.

Steph - I ordered the small oslo in champagne at full price. The leather is lovely but I ended up returning it b/c it's not lined and I don't recall any inner pockets. I might consider reordering if the champagne or ash goes on sale.

The Odile bag caught my eye too but I haven't seen it in stores. It may be a catalogue/online only item. This bag is lined according to the description and the colors are very pretty looking!!

  22. Has anyone ordered the Jamie handbag and did they recieve the extra 20% ? It is a great sale price but I'm still on the fence. Has anyone seen it in person? My closest store does not carry handbags.

  23. Yea! A no minimum code that works!!! Thanks so much, Alexis!

  24. I love this blog. Thanks, Alexis, for being such a great help & offering a site for people to help one another :-)

  25. Jamie bag is gorgeous. I ordered the burnt sienna bag for a gift for a friend, and it went over huge.

  26. Terrible news!

I called the Rockaway store yesterday, hoping to snag a pair of cords for $15. (They were on sale for $29.95 with an extra 50% off.) While they would sell me the item and ship it to me for the sale price, they would not give me the 50% off. (In other words, they would sell and ship to me for $29.95, rather than the $14.99 I would have paid in-store.)

Previously, I had bought from Rockaway, as well as other stores, over the phone and recived the 50% off. It is very discouraging. The Rockaway SA told me they had reached an agreement with the "catalog people" and was discontinuing the practice of honoring discounts over the phone. I don't know if other J.Crew stores have instituted the same policy.

  27. Vivi,

That is terrible news. Yes, JCrew can do what they want but really...in this economy and with modern tech. (like this blog) it just shows up badly on their part...

I wonder if other stores will start doing this?? Bet it is only a matter of time. I guess they want to force people to pay their higher website prices.

  28. I've pretty much jumped ship from J. Crew in favor of Martin and Osa. They have free shipping ALL the time (no code, no minimum), the quality is better, and the fit is much better. I've bought hundreds of items from J. Crew, and used to order several times per week, but don't really shop there anymore.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Oh Thanks for the tip; I am on the Martin and Osa website and can't wait to check it out. I have been looking for an alternative to JCrew. I already see a unique sweater I like!

The cashmere sweater I got from JCRew 2 weeks ago is such poor quality. I don't know how people buy their cashmere anymore! I don't care what mill it come from!

  30. The silk ruffle cami at Martin and Osa is to die for! I can't stand JCrew's cami selection right now...Sequin overload and ruffles look like clown collars! This is exactly what I have been looking for and the price is 1/2 of what JCrew asks! Thanks so much for the tip!

  31. Since they do not have "final sale" right now I have been ordering like mad because I can return items that I don't like, don't fit, or don't work with the other colors in my wardrobe. I hope that J Crew never goes back to FS.

  32. I was told final sale will return immediately after Christmas...

    ReplyDelete
  33. Thanks for the M+O tip - the snakeskin wood wedges are quite cute (and at $105 compared to JC's $495 snakeskin slingback, perhaps worth a try), and free shipping/returns sounds great.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I agree that the final sale is awful and should be eliminated forever.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Speaking of Martin + Osa, has anyone tried their denim? It's odd they don't have a denim size chart on their website. They use 26, 27, 28, etc for their denim but 2, 4, 6, 8 etc for all other bottoms. Their jeans are relatively inexpensive after discounts.

    ReplyDelete
  36. thanks for the code, just ordered 3 tanks with it.

    ReplyDelete
  37. has anyone tried the new ponte dress by jcrew? (its black with jersey stretch material... i think it has three flowers at the waist, i'm not sure) i just wondered how tts it was and especially where it hit on the knee... if it was super long or what.
if anyone has seen this or tried it on, any review would be greatly appreciated! thanks!

  38. Wait--but you don't save 20% correct? SO you have to decide which is a better savings.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Vivi: That is definitely a bummer about not receiving the extra % off if shipped from a store! :( Seems a shame because if it's sold out online, but you did your own 'field work' to find it, you won't get any reward for your effort.

  40. Martin & Osa ROCKS!!! I, too, have been ordering from them instead. Personally, I am SICK of J Crew changing all of their policies, especially no longer allowing my educator's discount on top of % off online orders. I never really no how much $$$ I will be paying in the end at J Crew because of all of their promos, final sale, % off, free shipping codes, etc. I just ordered a ton from Martin & Osa with 30% off, plus free shipping. LOVES IT!!!

  41. I look at Martin and Osa every once in a while but never see anything that inspires me to buy from them. :(

    ReplyDelete
  42. Martin and Osa are awesome, best thing I've bought from them are their Cashmere Scoopnecks, they are a nice, thin wearable weight, don't pill and the knit lays flat which I like. The scoopneck itself is very flattering and has a nice open neckline which is really slimming. I own 4 of them, got them during their last 30% off sale, which made them $55 *before* I used a 30% off coupon code so they ended up costing me $38/each! AND free shipping! AND I got my order (to Canada) in 2 days! I want to try on their jeans in person before ordering them online but I highly highly recommend them! My 7 sweaters ordered came packaged nicely, in a box that fit the items perfectly. I was very impressed and will definetly reorder from them!
