Seek & Find: Will you visit J.Crew this Weekend?

This is the weekly "sale watch" post, to help each other find sale items at our various local J.Crew stores. ;)

If you are stopping by a J.Crew store this weekend to see what's available (if anything!) in the FALL sale, or to see some new FALL/WINTER arrivals {sigh!} in person, maybe you might be willing to share that with us in this post. In particular, if you could share with us a few of the noteworthy items that are available, at what prices, and potential sizes the store is carrying (as well as the store location)- that would be fantastic!

Also, please let us know if your local store is carrying an additional percent off sale. Thanks in advance!!! :)

P.S. I noticed that many of you have already been reporting sale items (and in which stores) in other posts which by the way "thank you!" :) I really appreciate how helpful we are for each other!

  2. It's online shopping for me this weekend, but I hope other JCA's find some good deals in their local stores.

I posted outfit pictures this week with a few of the sale items and new arrivals here, here, and here.

  4. I went yesterday to the 5th Avenue store (NYC). The sale section can look depleted or full of stuff depending on what you are looking for. The most remarkable thing that I saw is the Sally dress in black (3 of them I think in a size 10) and a few grey tipped blazers. They had quite a few Isabel sweaters in various colors (I tried a xs and I was swimming in it). Pants in random sizes, few shoes and jewelry. I only got a tank in casablanca blue and a pair of boots for my daughter. HTH someone.

  5. I'm actually trying not to go but I have a return :-) I really want to try and stay away as I received 4 boxes yesterday and will have two on Monday...

  6. I may head over to the 5th avenue store. Does anyone know what the in-store colors of the Minnie pant in stretch twill are? Or if they're even still in the stores at all? I'm interested in the vibrant flame and am new to this particular pant style, but heard it fits nicely.

  7. I won't be headed to the regular store, but thanks to a Xmas gift from my mother, we are going on a road trip to check out the J. Crew Clearance store. I'm hoping there will be some good bargains (and a plentiful selection of shoes). Fingers crossed!

  8. I am hoping to persuade my husband to stop off at the outlet on our car trip up north to Whistler, B.C. for a family ski trip. I've read plenty about outlet offerings on this site but have never actually been to one. Can't wait!

  9. There's a lot of snow here this AM, but I might trek to my b&m to see the sale section. I'll report back if I do!

  10. Pop-back alert! I just added a list of lurking items on my blog here.

  12. Major update in the sale section just now - over 1200 items in the women's section!

    ReplyDelete
  13. @Louise --- whoa! just noticed that too! major midday restock!

  14. Jessy, the 5th avenue store has the Minnies in
vibrant flame, in case you didn't go yet.

  15. This is a little off topic, but online, if the item doesn't say final sale in the item description, is it still final sale? I'm looking at dress in the sale section that isn't listed as final sale, but when I do a mock checkout, it qualifies for the 30% off.

Also, how is the fit of the maritime dress? TTS, Or is it a little boxy?

    Thanks!!

  16. The crosstown wool circle skirt is $119.99 + 40%. It is adorable, fully lined and tts. I took my no 2 pencil skirt size. My store doesn't carry them so they ordered it instore for me.

  17. I just went to my local store and it was sooooo picked over. Offering extra 40% off sale, which I wish they'd do online.

They did have a hacking jacket in size 8 in the pine color, marked at $179.99, so I tried it on ... it was awful on me. Just really mumsy and not flattering at all.

And I love the neckline on the slouchy sweatshirt but the fiut is just terrible, so no go on that either. They had lots of waffle henleys, including the blue one, but almost all XS or XXS. Two blouson dot dresses, one of which was a 10 -- of course I paid for shipping on one I bought online 2 days ago, GRRR. But the in-store one was tagged at $69.99 (although they will price-match online if it's a lower price there, right?).

AT Loft was offering 40% regular-priced items, and they had a cute wite and kelly green striped bateau tee, was $18.99 after discount. Seeing lots of that green in the stores for spring!

Apropos of nothing, I was in GapKids and they had the cuuuuuuuutest Valentine tees! I wish they'd make them in adult sizes. A red one with a heart on the front done in big red paillettes...sigh.

  18. Elaine, did you see the Jcrew heart print umbrella? It is navy with red hearts all over it. I almost picked one yesterday, sooo cute (but wondering if I will feel silly wearing it after Valentine's day).

    ReplyDelete
  19. I didn't, Ema. Probably all sold out in my store. I like distinctive umbrellas -- you're never unsure which is yours if you set it down somewhere! :)

    ReplyDelete
  20. Ema-
thank you so much! I'm gonna probably head over tomorrow! gonna check out that umbrella too, sounds cute!

  21. I don't think I'll head into a store, but I might be calling a few. I just decided that I simply must have the Blythe shirtdress in the bright dahlia. Of course I decided this just in time to find it sold out online! If anyone happens to see the bright dahlia Blythe shirtdress in an 8 please, please let me know! ameliahardy@gmail.com

  22. Probably not this weekend for me, but good luck to those venturing out!

This is the time of year when I stare into my closet at the winter things NWT that I haven't worn yet with slight pangs of guilt.

Starting to crave bright colors and Spring Break outfits and new arrivals ...

  23. I scored at the clearance section today. Got the cambridge chunky turtleneck in vibrant flame. The vintage cotton LS vneck in citrus lime which will be great for spring with a cute scarf. Two #2 pencil skirts: the harvest tweed in the camel/coral color which I have lusted over forever and the metalic boucle in taupe. All for $118.
Just for fun (there is snow here on the ground plus it is nearly$200) I tried on the new Jules dress in Ashbury floral. Love the print not so sure I love the cut of the dress.

  24. I'm looking for a Majesty Peacoat in size 4, P4 or P6 in BLACK. I did a WWFI but I got the dreaded email 8 hrs later.

Has anyone seen coats in stores still?

  25. Stopped into the Rockefeller Center store. They moved the sale stuff from the Time Warner Center store (which is partially closed for renovations) over there so it is pretty full. I scored the leopard jacquard cafe capri at 89.99-40%. It's still 149.99-30% online.

They had two of the liquid silk skirts in size 4 marked at 29.99-40%, so that's a good find if anyone is looking for those.

    ReplyDelete
  26. ^^
The liquid silk skirts were in the blue color.

  27. Hi folks,

Need some better eyes than mine - is the three-sixty skirt in the "looks we love" section the same as the "sweater skirt" in the new arrivals?

Also - do the shrunken fisherman sweaters fit TTS or are they slightly large/small?

  28. Update on 3rd St. Promenade store in Santa Monica.

Please save yourself some time and do not visit this store for the sale. It is pretty dismal. Just simple cable sweaters and long sleeve tees. But if you are interested in just sweaters this place may be good for you.

  29. In the Towson, MD store as of last night there was still an additional 40% off but the selection was fairly limited. I did see a couple Double Serge Pencil Skirts in the harvest tweed pattern and a couple of coats. A lot of knitwear.

  30. Just checked. Still 40% off sale in stores.

  31. Update on 3rd St. Promenade Store in Santa Monica.

Dismal sale. Pretty much just sweaters and long sleeve tees. Not worth your time unless you are looking for those in particular.

Store was quite small and not as stocked as other ones.

Will be visiting century city, los angeles store today to see what's there.

  32. Has anyone seen the liquid skirt in size 8 or 10 in the dahlia or blue anywhere?

  33. I stopped by the Madison Avenue store a couple days ago, but I didn't buy anything. They had 40% off sale, but there wasn't much left.

I considered picking up a couple thermal tees. They're cute, but I'm really overstocked with casual winter tops, so I decided to pass. They had a couple XL and S and quite a few XS. I didn't see any M or L.

I also tried on the Eddie Patent Oxfords in two sizes. Very hard, uncomfortable and cheap looking/feeling. They were uncomfortable even in 1/2 size larger than usual. I was surprised at how much I disliked these, since I've had my eye on them for a while, online.

  34. has anyone seen the pierce spectator booties in their store in a 6.5? i saw them marked down at 69.99 in a sz 8 that someone snatched up in a snap at my store. so cute, thanks so much!

  35. a pair of the oxford patent flats in sz 9 with the spectator design on the front with glitter (full price online) are 89.99 - 40% off at the old orchard mall store in skokie :)

  39. I stopped by the Walt Whitman J.Crew in Long Island. Their sale section was bare. I did get the Honeycomb Cable sweater for 23.00 bucks and the Leopard Ipad case for 10.00.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Just an FYI for anyone who is interested, it would appear that they are bringing back the Leopard Tippi Sweater - there were TONS of them at the Walden Galleria (Buffalo) store today and the SA said that they had just received a big shipment of them.

Jessy - The Walden Store also had the Minnies in stretch twill in Vibrant Flame in all sizes, in case you have any trouble finding them. Good luck!

  41. Maybe I am late to this news but the 30% off seems to have disappeared online..... I was going to place my order but..... nope.

  42. Margaret, the online 30% off had an expiration of Fri, 1/13.

  43. Emeryville store in CA had a few liquid silk skirts in blue in different sizes ($18 after the 40% which is a great deal), navy flair skirt in size 2 ($49.99 before the 40%off), striped henley long sleeves in blue/navy, grey/white, black/white in various sizes, a lot of flare jeans, a lot of honeycomb sweaters in various sizes in red, a few in ivory, heather acorn and grey. There are a lot of pants at this store as well as various coats due to returns. I bought a couple of things for my husband and he's happy with them. Just wish that J.Crew would have a 50% sale and be done with it.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Some online vs in-store prices rounded up and put in this post along w/irl pics of the tissue turtleneck tee in stripe, a pair of Minnies in wool herringbone and the deck stripe boater tee (old).

  46. I bought 2 classic tees (have them in almost every color) for $18.00 TOTAL. They were having an additional 40% off sale. Love the snoods. They had those for $40 plus the addtl 40% off - probably should have bought it.
