J.Crew Email: Ends today! EXTRA 40% OFF sale items (in stores and online)

"Thanks!" to many of you, who shared the following email from J.Crew this morning.

J.Crew is reminding customers to take an additional 40% off all sale items (no min) with promo code OURTREAT. This offer expires today.

As mentioned in yesterday's "J.Crew Final Sale: Take Additional 50% Off at Stor..." post, customers can take an additional 50% off in brick & mortar (B&M) stores.

There was a really nice update this morning- which is great to see while this promotion is running.

Now the question is, what will the next promo look like???

Will you be checking out the Sale section? Are there any items you are hoping to see or to get?

  1. I listed all the current promo-priced items that also receive the 40% off (but aren't final sale) here on my blog earlier today. :)

  2. I just left the store and there are some beautiful new arrivals! Tons of gingham check perfect shirts. Lots of color and some beautiful scarves. Kinda upset about the prices though. I will be grabbing some things when a full price promotion hits

  3. Would anyone be able to comment on the fit of the Silk pleat skirt in crimson floral item # 59423?

  4. Forgot to add I grabbed the townhouse trench in double cloth in saddle for $125. Also grabbed a few bracelets for $10. They had a purple Hardin skirt in size 8 and tons of haberdashery shirts in solid blue. This was at the Georgetown store.

  5. 40% percent off is nice, but there is hardly anything left worth buying(in my opinion).

  6. Hello! I'm somewhat new at this but could anyone help me out on the fit of jcrew pencil skirts? I'm normally a 0/2 but things tend to be snugger on my butt/waist. Which size do you all think is the better choice?

  7. nzz2101-have you tried calling CS for measurements? I would do that, and then compare those measurements to your body's tape measure reading, and to a skirt that is hanging in your closet. CS is pretty helpful! Also, most JCrew items vary from each other, so it's worth calling for each style number to get exact measurements. Some stores, like Banana Rep. and Gap, are just one standard sizing chart and you can't get measurements for the item But with JCrew you can!

  8. Got sucked in... I was able to get a sweater dress on this promo. Let's see if it ships.

CHERI, check out shopwithm's blog for that skirt. The link is on the main page.

  9. Does anyone know when the rewards cards get sent out? I'm holding out for mine to come in and hoping for one of those percentage off your whole order promotions. Anyone have a guess as to when the next one of those will be? Thanks :)

  10. Not much left, keep hoping for a few popbacks but unwilling to wake up early. Luckily I have a fabulous PS who gets to work early and does the stalking for me!

  11. Holding out now for new arrivals, especially given the mild winter we've been having - haven't even worn all of the coats or sweaters I picked up during the great promos. Have the new catalog and love many pretty things. Even though there are some pretty high prices in there, there are also great choices that are affordable. Have already picked a few to preorder through my personal shopper so they will be sent out as soon as the new items are released. Will put reviews on my blog.

  15. Cheri, just saw your post. Thanks Rose for directing her to my review! It's a really pretty skirt, and I went with my Flair skirt and it's perfect. Thumbs up!

I popped into my store today, and there wasn't a ton left in the sale section, but I saw paisley pencils, several liquid silk skirts ($15, crazy!!!), lots of tees.

I mostly had eyes for new arrivals and tried on a TON. So look for some reviews over the next few days. Definitely some super cute itmes!

  16. Bought the Ashley dress offline for like $40 (from $200) including shipping! Anyone know how this fits with a typical petite 0?

  17. I ordered the Silk Pleat Skirt in Crimson Floral too, and posted the measurements for sizes 2, 4 and 6 on my blog if anyone plans to grab the skirt before the sale ends tonight! :)

Also, just added a review and pictures of the Pleated A-line Skirt in Ashbury although that one is not on sale right now.

  18. OT, J.Crew posted a link to the spring weddings/parties preview:

Those wedding dresses are looking prettty bland. Some cute things in the bridesmaid section.

  19. I really hope I don't hate the Maisie dress. I know it's iffy, but I just love that purple floral print, argh!

Boater tee in Navy is also en route -- love that fabric and silhouette, so hoping it's a keeper and that it won't highlight my backfat too much (lol).

I also ordered the Factory Portfolio Crepe dress -- I know some think it's boring/dowdy, but it's just right for the days we have executive events at work and I want to look professional, but not stand out in any way. At $35, I will take the chance.

Also hoping the flannel PJs don't degrade into scraps after the first wash. I will be reporting back for sure!

The hearthstone beret popped back in the Vivid Poppy color, so I'm going to see how that goes. I like to wear hats whenever possible, and all the other winter hats I have are gray or black.

Had really been hoping to catch the Lady Day with Thinsulate in my size in Oasis Green. No dice. Boo hoo.

  20. I grabbed the Natasha in Wildcat. I hope it ships and I hope it fits!

  21. sugarmagnolia, I called CS about the rewards and were told that they have been mailed but that if you are in the store and have not received yours yet the cashier should be able to apply them to your purchase. Now I have not tried that but just wanted to pass along what I had heard.

  22. I stopped by my nearest J.Crew today to check out the sale, but they didn't have a single sale item :( I was pretty disappointed, but I am swooning over some of the new arrivals! Hopefully the rest of you were able to find some good deals!!

  23. Made a red phone order today hoping to stack the 50% and 15% student discounts, which the SA requested for me after confirming with the manager, but the CS refused :( Would have saved $90 off my purchase.

She also refused to give me 50% off the non-final but still sale items even though online orders allow the ourtreat code to work on them same as the final sale. She finally agreed to 40% off on those after putting my awesome SA on hold.

But I'm still mad that she wouldn't allow the 15% even though two SAs in-store okayed it, and we even did the math together before we called. Should I contact customer service, or am I pushing my luck too far? I still made a $300 order even after removing some items, so I had hoped their customer service was better than that.

  24. Stopped by my B&M tonight. (Park Meadows) Great sale section, for XS, XXS, S and 0, 2s. Everything you can imagine. I saw Swish skirt - $159.99, Natasha Top (Peach), $59.99 3 size 2's, Wynter Strip sweater, xxs Black/Cream, Talia Top/Wildcat-00, 10 size S Jenna Cardigan in Wildcat $59.99, Ballet Flats, gliterati gold $79.99 and some other ballet flats. All prices before 50%. I did love some of the spring items, cafe classic in navy/white, some of the Tillary collection in multi color, gingham shirts but did not have time to try on, will stop by again on Saturday. I did buy a pair of black capri flip flops for $15 and Surplus Pant which I bought in 2 in the summer and now need a 0 for $9.99. So not exactly a big spender.

  25. I bit and bought the Majesty Pea Coat in navy, and it already came. I hadn't seen it in person, but I was very very pleased with fit, cut and quality. I still love J. Crew Coats.
